LA ESTANCIA in Bad Driburg

Wir gehen oft Essen und bevorzugt Steak, aber wir haben bisher selten so ausgezeichnet gegessen. Auch die Atmosphäre und die Bedienung waren einfach toll. Wer gutes Essen zu schätzen weiß, sollte sich das nicht entgehen lassen.

Sorry, aber das Rumpsteak 300 g war ungenießbar. Medium bestellt, kam fast roh, voller Sehnen und Knorpel. Großzügiger Weise wurde bei der Abrechnung nur das 200 g Steak berechnet. Der Laden hat mich zweimal gesehen, das erste und gleichzeitig das letzte Mal.

Samstag Abend und wir suchen etwas zu essen. Schon am Vortag ist uns dieses Lokal aufgefallen. Die Frage ob wir reserviert haben, verneinen wir. Trotzdem wird ein Tisch gefunden. Als „Vorsuppe“ gibt es einen sehr guten Aperol Spritz. Das Essen ist schnell gewählt, der Wein auch. Das Personal inklusive des Chefs ist die ganze Zeit sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Der Laden ist ordentlich voll. Nachdem Wein und essen auf dem Tisch stehen, ist klar warum. Das Essen (Lamm für mich, gegrilltes Hähnchen für meine Frau) ist wirklich sehr gut. Dito der Wein. Später bitten wir noch um ein Taxi. Auch das wird erhöhrt und klappt. Wir danken für einen schönen Abend!

It is by far the best steakhouse I have ever been to. The food is amazing, the staff is super friendly and very attentive. There was an exceptionally large number of staff and therefore no waiting times. Everyone is very hardworking and reliable. The ambience is beautifully designed with nice light sources and great interior. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely go there again. Absolute MUST!

Best meat you can eat in Bad Driburg! Top service and pleasant atmosphere. I can only recommend it, a must if you are in Bad Driburg.

The steaks were not cooked to the desired level. I ordered medium (they ask for extra) and got rare. Unfortunately I had to have my plate returned twice. There is no bread in advance. A huge mountain of fries (also a bit limp), but the few beans on the plate were cold. The sauces are from the bag (Béarnaise). The presentation on the plates is kept very simple. The service is quick but unprofessional (staff wearing sneakers and short pants). There was almost only water in the Lillet. The side salad was delicious. Overall, it's just not enough for the price.

Als ich durch die Stadt geschlendert bin, fiel mir genau dieses Restaurant auf. Hab mich direkt dort hin gemacht und sofort wurde mein Wunsch auf gutes Essen erfüllt. Die Bedienung, der Service und co. waren einfach Klasse. Der Gruss aus dem Haus (Selbst gebackenes Handbrot) mit selbst gemachter Aioli war einfach Klasse. Von der Hühnerbrust die ich bekommen habe inkl Pommes ebenso. Das Essen war super Klasse, dass ich während meines Aufenthaltes nochmals vorbei schauen werde.

My wife is in Bad Driburg for rehab and really enjoys going out to eat at the weekend (the food in the clinic could be prepared a little more lovingly :-)) We got perfectly fried meat here, tasted excellent and was served in the friendliest way. Recommendation for Bad Driburg. Tip: reserve on the weekend

The quality of the ingredients is really top notch. Rarely have I eaten such tender beef There is still room for improvement in terms of presentation of the dishes. I think the price-performance ratio is okay. Given the high performance, the prices are very high by German standards.

THE steakhouse in the Höxter district and beyond.

We waited almost two hours for the rest of the meal (fourth tapa). Ok, it was delivered to the wrong table, but if I hadn't asked, we wouldn't have waited any longer. All guests were repeatedly asked if everything was OK etc. except for us, perhaps the mistake would have been noticed beforehand. I don't understand why I see guests who sit for so long and don't even have the idea to ask what's going on. For this service and the really small portions, €45 was quite expensive; we would have paid the same in a top restaurant but received better service. The food was still very good, hence two stars.

Nice decor, delicious food at high prices. However, the service was pretty poor on the last visit. Drinks don't come, salads only come after request while the main course has already been eaten. Other drinks are also difficult to obtain. The floor is being loudly scrubbed behind the counter and the staff is eating at the next table while we need service. It's kind of a shame that the good food doesn't get the right setting.

The service is good, fast and attentive. The food is delicious . I had baked pork medallions. There were none. But 2 small schnitzels, fried on the grill and then baked. I guess I thought I didn't know the difference... But it still tasted good. Normally good. What I expect in a restaurant, with "hot" prices. You have to say it like that. Quality is fresh and good. Every now and then you can enjoy it there.

Update 2024: We went there for a birthday dinner a few days ago and wished the prices were the same as 5 years ago. The food was tasty, but the portions were very manageable. However, this time we paid almost 200 euros for 4 people, with each person only ordering one dish (only two people steak and side dishes) and a soft drink. For a portion of fries for €5.00, there isn't even any mayo added, and the herb butter for the €42.00 steak (only meat, no side dishes) is charged extra. Two people in our group ordered chicken with rice and mushroom sauce (see picture). Here a piece of chicken fillet was served with a small bowl of sauce as well as a small salad and rice: for an exorbitant €39.50… Yes, eating out is a luxury and the prices for the innkeepers have also risen. Here, however, one has the impression that the expansion of the restaurant will be passed on 100% to the customers. Unfortunately there was no dish for the “smaller” wallet. The service was very helpful and attentive, but the plates were cleared while two people were still eating. _____2019______ The food tasted good but unfortunately a bit overpriced. We paid over 120 euros for 4 people, each of whom only had one drink and no one ate fillet or similar.

After a full day of enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Bad Driburg, enjoy a meal at this restaurant. We had not made a reservation but were allowed to sit on the terrace. Children's menu was well stocked. We also shared the Chateau Briand. Supplemented with baked potatoes and even more included delicacies. We licked our fingers. That, together with the friendly service, gives our family a big compliment and 5 stars.

Mein Filetsteak war ein Gedicht, wie bestellt Medium und super Geschmack. Die beiden Herren haben das Chateaubriand genossen. Auf Empfehlung rare, da es aufgeschnitten auf einer Wärmeplatte serviert wird und etwas nach gart. Auch die Beilagen haben gemundet , besonders die Champignons mit Zwiebel. Wir 3 waren uns einig, noch nie so lecker Steak gegessen

Our visit in the evening was very excellent! Let's start with the very friendly welcome from all the staff, you immediately feel invited. The ambience is beautifully chosen, upscale and, in short, unique. The cleanliness is excellent you could eat off the floor. The food was on our table very quickly, just under 21 minutes (large order), perfect temperature and one thing I can say is that the guys know how to use the grill, just perfect and exactly how I wanted it. Everything tastes super delicious, fresh and a feast for the palate! Highly recommended, always worth a visit! The best restaurant, there's nothing wrong with it.

We were here with 4 adults and 3 children and it was a really great evening. Excellent food (my rib-eye steak was tender as butter!), excellent cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and very friendly, attentive service in a great, stylish atmosphere! We will definitely come back!

As spa guests here in Bad Driburg, we had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant for lunch last weekend. Our experience was simply outstanding and we would like to share our 5-star rating. First of all, we noticed the generous size of the restaurant, with many free tables, which created a pleasant atmosphere. When we looked at the menu we had to take a deep breath because the prices seemed quite high. But given the current situation, in which food and energy have become more expensive across the country, it was understandable. We chose steak and salmon and were not disappointed. Both dishes were not only deliciously prepared, but also of excellent quality. Every bite was a treat and left us feeling like our money was worth it. The interior design of the restaurant also deserves praise. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. The ambience definitely helped us relax and enjoy. Another highlight of our visit was the friendly service. The staff was extremely courteous, attentive and always willing to help us with any questions or make recommendations. Your service contributed significantly to our positive impression. Overall, we can recommend the restaurant without reservation. Despite the slightly higher prices, the food is worth the price and the entire visit was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We look forward to stopping by again on our next visit to Bad Driburg.

The restaurant is great! The decor is really nice and the food is wonderful! The rack of lamb was really great 9/10 😍🔥 Unfortunately, we were disturbed while eating because two young boys were talking about Instagram and random things behind us the whole time, and our table was cleared by a German young man who was already wearing his thick jacket. 5/10..

Had dinner with friends today at La Estancia Bad Driburg. Had a really delicious meal! Can just be recommended!! We would love to come back......

We went here for dinner on a Friday evening. The restaurant was very well attended. Super friendly and attentive staff! The meal was excellent. What we were annoyed about, however, was that we were offered bread with aioli and herb butter without any information that this would cost extra.

Update from February 24, 2024: Unfortunately we were disappointed this time. One had the feeling that all employees were completely overwhelmed by the expansion of the restaurant. The bread for the carpacio only came after asking twice. Two of the four meals came with the main course, although one meal was missing a side dish. The two missing meals were accidentally served at another table, so the two meals came again 15 minutes later. Unfortunately, out of 4 steaks only one had the desired degree of doneness, two were medium rare even though medium was ordered and one was partially burnt so that it simply had a bitter taste. The burnt steak was replaced without any problems, but the replacement was also burnt and therefore not edible. This meal was taken off the bill. With such a high-priced restaurant you can expect a lot more care, as it used to be much better. The service was friendly and accommodating and of course apologized for the unsuccessful meal. The bottom line is that we might try again at some point. Tastes very good. Steak is on point and the side dishes are also very tasty. Portions are large. The service is extremely friendly and fun for everyone. We always like to come back.

The meat was amazing; we had steak, lamb and chicken. All were prepared very good! As you can expect from a great steakhouse. The only thing we did not like were the quite expensive side dishes, which were not very big either. So if you have a good apatite, you will need a starter for sure.

We visited La Estancia for the first time after the renovation. Super successful, great ambience, tasteful furnishings. We love the perfectly prepared steaks in this house. Hence the high score. But we wanted to try something new today. There was a mixed tapas platter, which unfortunately lacked sophistication. Plus ready-made sauces. It looked better than it tasted. Everything is pretty simple. We were still pleased that Driburg has an expanded offering in a central location. Therefore we will come back in the hope that the tapas offer will be revised. Or just a wine or a cocktail. Because we like the new concept. And there are also the good steaks...

Very chic, clean and cozy steakhouse. Even though it was already very full and I hadn't made a reservation, a seat was still found for me. The service was very attentive and quick. The steak was cooked exactly how you wanted it and was of very good quality. I can recommend the restaurant without reservation if you have an appetite for a first-class steak and are willing to pay appropriately for it!

We went to this restaurant for the first time in 2017 and went there 1-2 times because we were so impressed. We kept talking about this restaurant but couldn't stop by because we had since moved away. Since we moved back nearby in 2024, we booked it directly and unfortunately we weren't as enthusiastic as we were 7 years ago. My meat had to go back on the grill twice before it was ok. Despite repeated eye contact with the staff, no one came and served us. We drank 1 bottle of water and two glasses of wine that evening (2 hours) because we weren't served.

The new bar is also very tastefully decorated. Nice service with a corresponding ambience. It's nice to drive a few more kilometers.

Wir hatten uns so auf einen tollen Abend bei gutem Steak ( Steakhaus ??) gefreut. ( mein Geburtstag) Klar, es war voll...Wartezeiten haben wir einberechnet. Dann: über 2 Stunden gewartet...ein Paar , welches deutlich später kam als wir ,neben uns saß, bekamen irgendwann ihr Essen....ich bin nach einer Weile, da gar nix passierte zum Kellner, habe ihm die Situation geschildert.. ER: haben sie denn überhaupt schon bestellt??( Ja, direkt bei der Kollegin, die uns Getränke gebracht hat.) unverschämt....der Service hat uns die ganze Zeit kaum wahrgenommen. Nach 7 Minuten ( Wartezeit insgesamt 2 Stunden 7 Minuten)bekamen wir jeder unsere Filet Steaks.... Die Qualität & Zubereitung ( 2 kleine Steaks aufeineinander getürmt ), vom Geschmack sehr fad, & eine schwarz gebrannte Folienkartoffel ( ich denke, alt ) So einen Teller haben noch nie in einem Steak Haus gesehen... 1 Kräuterbutter vergessen, aber auf Rechnung drauf.....natürlich nicht bezahlt.. Unsere Beschwerde hat keiner für voll genommen, uninteressiertes Personal.. NIE wieder!!! Bin immer noch sauer :0(((((

Das Essen war wirklich ausgezeichnet und sehr lecker dagegen kann man nix sagen. Jedoch sind die Sitzmöglichkeiten sehr eng und man kann seinem Nachbarn gefühlt beim schmatzen hören und die Wartezeiten sind wirklich extrem lange, ich habe selbst 30 Minuten auf die Rechnung warten müssen welche auch erst gekommen ist nachdem ich noch 2 mal nachgefragt hatten

Unfortunately, this restaurant is completely overrated. Our pre-reserved table was quickly taken. We were there early, so there wasn't much going on. Our drink order was still not taken. At some point a very nice gentleman came (unfortunately we found that he was constantly being chased around the restaurant by his colleagues while they were chilling) and took our order. As an allergy sufferer, I ordered onions. The daughter of the house then came to us and told us that we still had to pay the full price (it made sense to us, no one had to tell us yet). The drinks came quickly, as did the side salads. The boss grills himself in the open kitchen. In this case, it's disadvantageous because it's so visible that he's constantly wiping his face and touching his beard, and then (without washing his hands) touching the flesh. The disposable glove doesn't help at all in terms of hygiene. In the meantime, the table next door got their food. The fries were missing, they didn't come anymore, and mayonnaise was charged for them. After well over an hour our food arrived. Unfortunately not as we ordered. This was corrected promptly. We would have liked to use salt and pepper to season, but unfortunately the staff wasn't visible. It was a real shame that the meat, despite being ordered medium, was completely cooked through. Shouldn't happen in a steakhouse. Especially since both dishes were completely cooked. There was no way to complain, the staff wasn't visible. But we were able to see live how the boss put down the bartender. Unsightly insert. The next table became restless as no food came. New bread was brought after repeated requests. We asked for the bill. After over thirty minutes we still didn't have it. Potential guests were sent away instead of cashing in and occupying the table again. In the end we paid almost 100 euros for meat that was grilled to death, 1 bottle of water and 2 glasses of wine. Conclusion: a lot of money without corresponding compensation. Quality has its price, and at that price I also want to maintain the quality.

Das beste Steakhouse, das ich kenne. Habe selten so ein gutes Steak serviert bekommen. Das Ambiente gemütlich rustikal. Service top - hier erkundigt sich der Inhaber noch persönlich, ob man zufrieden ist - Dazu ein sympathischer, lustiger Typ. Für Fleischliebhaber ein muss, wenn man in der Nähe ist.

Wat een rot avond,nog nooit zo.n chaos meegemaakt. Nog nooit meegemaakt. Gerecht 1 ging goed ,de swiebelsoep. Gerecht 2 bij 1 zit bijlage erbij op bord, bij de andere moet de patat nog komen. Nou ben inmiddels thuis en nog geen patat. Drinken 1x slok gehad,daarna niet meer. Duurt eeuwen voordat er iets komt kwa bestelling. Klacht word niet serieus genomen. Het loop allemaal door elkaar,er zit geen logica in.

Ich war im Dezember 2023 😉 5 Wochen in Bad Driburg und habe dieses Restaurant 5x besuchen dürfen. Es ist für mich das beste Steakhaus, dass ich je erleben durfte. Wir waren schon einige Male dort Essen.Ja es ist oft voll das ist aber dem guten Essen geschuldet.Also wer gutes Essen bei netten Leuten genießen möchte ist hier definitiv richtig.Auch sehr Kinder freundlich das Restaurant.Kann man zu 100prozent empfehlen

Wir waren zu fünft am 2. Weihnachtstag dort. Es war sehr voll und laut. Beim teuersten Gericht (Chateaubriand) fehlte eine der beiden Beilage (Brokkoli). Erst auf unsere Nachfrage wurde dies bestätigt. Als Ersatz sollten wir einen großen Salatteller erhalten. Wir bekamen einen normalen Salatteller - dies ist aber die übliche Beilage zu einem anderen von uns bestellten Gericht (Riesengarnelen), wo dann zusätzlich auch noch Brokkoli als Beilage fehlte. Die Gerichte wurden schließlich aber trotzdem in voller Höhe berechnet, ohne mit einem Wort auf die v.g Defizite einzugehen - schade!

Sehr lecker und mit viel Liebe und Flair zubereitet. Auch auf spezielle Vorstellungen und Wünsche wird eingegangen. Es war hervorragend, vielen Dank! Werde während meines Aufenthaltes hier nochmal vorbei schauen.

We stay on a buisy friday for dinner and welcomed with a smile. After getting a table for two (reservation by phone 1.5 hours before), we‘re ready to order. Our meals come to the table by very known, helpful, funny and smiling servers. The quality of the food: A) Filet 200g medium grilled to perfection with a big potato with sourcream = 5/5 stars B) Ribeye 300g medium grilled with fried potatoes and a small mixed salad with yoghurt dressing = 4/5 stars (potatoes with a little bit to much oil/fat and the salad was not worth the price). The food comes with a good Spanish rioja, a small bottle of medium sparkling water and a 0.4 Fanta. We don’t go with a desert, because we’re stuffed. Price range: €93.30 for this dinner is ok so far. The drinks come with reasonable prices - other places take more of your money… Overall we can recommend this restaurant and we’ll come back 4 sure: the steaks and the outstanding friendly service with a smile makes it a perfect dinner evening.
