La Cuba in Neuwied

In my opinion, temporary workers are treated unfairly. They don't even get paid the minimum wage here. The young people get €10 to start with and then €12 later. They are NOT allowed to keep tips! What a disgrace... Furthermore, this is also recorded on the cameras (the guests and the staff are monitored by three cameras in total). Now, following this review, my daughter was bombarded with voice messages from the temporary manager. She said, among other things: "Yes, the cameras are there to monitor the staff and there would be a sign at the entrance. For this current reason, we are hiring dear foreign colleagues and not you Germans!" A strong statement, in my opinion. Minimum wage is regulated by law, there was never any billing and being filmed is also illegal. Let's see what comes of it. An email has been sent to the tax office and the public order office regarding the cameras.

Very pleasant atmosphere, the music is not too loud, so you can have a good conversation. The service is super friendly and attentive. Even though we were there with more than ten people, we didn't have to wait long. There are enough parking spaces in the area, so long walks are no longer necessary. Absolutely recommended!

La Cuba surprised me positively! I personally liked the ambience because it conveyed a cozy, relaxed atmosphere and the "younger service" seemed relaxed and yet attentive overall, despite being busy. We were asked again and again whether everything was okay or whether we were satisfied. During my friend's meal, it turned out that there was pepper in one of her "wheat rolls", even though it wasn't listed in the list of ingredients on the menu. The young waiter responded well and offered to speak to the kitchen, even though she had already eaten a good portion of the dish, which had no peppers. It didn't take long until the food was back and this time "the Rollo" was served fresh without peppers. The incomplete list of ingredients is the only point of criticism for which I am deducting a star. Otherwise, the food was very tasty overall, the service was surprisingly good and the price-performance ratio was convincing😉 A visit is definitely worth it and we will definitely be back!😊

Was there for the first time today and was hoping for a little more. The food was ok, but different than described. The chicken with curry tasted nothing like curry, the abundant pepper pieces in the sauce were raw. The potato skins were nice and crispy, but unfortunately not really seasoned. The sour cream has nothing in common with such a thing. What’s dill doing in it? The cocktails are too expensive, especially considering the low alcohol content. The service staff was friendly, but rarely seen. Overall it's nice, but you can do a lot better for the same or less money!

We were there on October 19th. in the evening and reserved a table in advance by phone, after 10 minutes of waiting and going back and forth because the employee couldn't find our reservation in the book, we got a table with the information "Next time I should please reserve online" uhhhhh ok, well, The food itself was quick and tasty, and the cocktails were always available again, but I think it's part of it that you don't ask every now and then whether the food tastes good or whether you'd like another drink. Above all, our glasses were empty for over 10 minutes and no one asked if we would like to order something new. I also don't understand why it took several minutes for the empty plates to be cleared away, especially because the employees often looked at our table and weren't stressed. All in all, the food and drinks were good, but the staff needs to be more professional, everyone can ask if everything is good.

The best food I've had in Neuwied so far, very tasty starters, I can highly recommend the creams (aioli, sour cream, salsa), they make everything taste good. For the main course I had fajitas, which I was more than happy with, you can design these however you want, but I can only recommend adding everything, meat, vegetables, and sauces are great, lime provides a nice freshness -Kick. My companions were just as impressed as I was and I was also allowed to try it, everything was very tasty. The cocktails also taste good, the ones containing cane sugar may be too sweet for some, but I thought everything was great. The ambience and design of the restaurant outside and inside was very sweet and pleasant, the staff was very, very friendly. I'd be happy to come back any time!

A fantastic experience at La Cuba! The food was not only very tasty, but also beautifully prepared. I found the excellent price-performance ratio particularly impressive - you really get a lot for your money here. Special praise also goes to the team, especially to the warm-hearted waitress who served us attentively and with a smile. We'll definitely be back!

Only the ambience is nice. Otherwise: sat for 25 minutes and was ignored. Drinks taken after we got in touch. Ordered draft beer - was sour; Ordered food without champions - there were plenty of them; Ordered cocktails - got mixed up and had flies in them; no apology or accommodation whatsoever; Portions are sometimes very small and too expensive; hardly any dressing on the salad - very tasteless; Orders only possible if you make your presence known; Tables were not cleared; Bottle of Gerolsteiner water 7 euros! Never again!

The last time we were there was two years ago and that was a lot better. Unfortunately we were unlucky this time. There was something wrong with 3/6 dishes. A seafood platter for €17.50 with just a handful of pieces of squid and a mussel... The meat platter for €17, after which you can still eat a kebab because it's SO little. And a lasagne that had a neutral taste. There was a 3cm piece of sharp bone in the flesh of the meat plate. We were looking forward to the food, but were unfortunately disappointed. The service was friendly and tried hard, but some of them barely understood German. When asked about the food, there was a round of drinks, but that doesn't make up for the fact that you end up paying €175 for 6 people. The ambience was nice, probably newly renovated. Comfortable chair-armchairs. We probably won't come back.

Unfortunately, the quality of food decreased substantially since we had last visited about one year ago... I would guess that the kitchen team has changed entirely. Now the quality is quite low, we even had to send one sauce back because it was not fresh, the meal was not better than you get in a fast food place for half the price.

Good day The main course was delicious, but the starter was a bit of a letdown, instead of garlic dip I got another dip that didn't taste remotely good. When I asked what was there, the waitress replied very unfriendly > that she had no idea about it, it came from the kitchen. At this point I would have wished that she would have informed herself and not answered so snappily. The waitress generally didn't seem particularly motivated, I noticed that in her working posture, she stood at the reception yawning and the strange answer to my question and when I asked her if the food tasted good, I answered accordingly and there was no counter question, she just looked at her billing device. However, the ambience was nice, you could sit comfortably inside and there was also seating outside.

Had a delicious lunch today at La Cuba in Neuwied. The selection of Cuban specialties is very large and diverse. You can choose between meat, fish or vegetarian. Everything tastes super delicious. The service is very friendly, competent and fast. Always my pleasure!!!!

We ate at La Cuba again on Sunday. The food was very tasty and there was plenty of it. The staff was friendly and very attentive. We would love to come back.

Gold food though more Mexican than Cuban

Good selection of dishes. Nice ambience. Unfortunately the music was a bit loud. I find the chairs a bit too uncomfortable. If the restaurant is busy, the food and drinks take a long time. Sometimes the friendly waitresses seem to have a thing or two to tell each other. The food is good, plentiful and with sufficiently large portions. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us, nor did the cocktails or the service. The menu is a smorgasbord of Cuban-sounding dishes, but also pizza and pasta. Unfortunately, that doesn't fit at all. Many dishes have a curry cream sauce, which also surprised us. - There was Greek tzatziki with the potato wedges... Unfortunately, the dishes we ordered were not a highlight in terms of taste. The cocktails (Pina Colado, Ipanema, Cuba Special) tasted of either sugar syrup or anise/ouzo, even though ouzo wasn't on the ingredient list. The service only partially cleared away empty dishes and glasses, and reordering was difficult. All in all, we unfortunately found no reason to come back.

Spontaneously got a table for 2, unfortunately in through traffic... We were able to order straight away and the food arrived quickly. There are even 2 vegan dishes on the menu. There was a surprising amount of service staff there. The atmosphere of Cuba is very well captured...

Ordered La Cuba Special to take away. I have never had worse food for €18.50, an absolute disgrace!!! The wedges are from the supermarket (Netto or similar). The sauce is totally watery and tastes bland. The chicken breast fillet was more like a third of a chicken breast and dry too! Add a few onions, pepper strips and a few mushroom strips. The side salad was ok, but the dressing was from the supermarket... The whole thing looked so unappetizing... I would be ashamed to offer something like that!!! Never again!!!!!!

Very tasty food, service always friendly and quick. Unfortunately, it's often overcrowded, which is why you can only eat and then the next people are waiting. No comfortable sitting together possible. Also order drinks without ice, otherwise there will be more water in the glass than anything else...

What the cuisine there has to do with Cuba is a mystery to me. When I saw dishes with curry cream sauce on the menu, I should have listened to my feeling and gone. But know about it. So I started with the mixed starter. If there weren't nachos on it, I expected the plate to be in a Greek restaurant. Please, dear kitchen, if you offer pepperoni, please don't pickle them from a jar. A few more vegetables and a few warm champions rounded it off. For the main course I decided on a salad with sheep's cheese, walnuts and passion fruit dressing. What happened next really took it to the extreme for me. In a bowl of fried dough there was then: A handful of green lettuce, a few leaves of Lollo Rosso, 4 green olives, 2 peppers, three pieces of sheep's cheese and about half a tomato. The whole thing with a watery dressing, which didn't develop much of a flavor on the salad. Anyone who thinks that the sheep's cheese is creamy and has an intense taste is mistaken. It was difficult to identify the watery mass as coming from a sheep. Thank God I was only in the area for work and so I won't be coming back to the area anytime soon.

La Cuba is a cozy restaurant with delicious food and first-class drinks. We were a large group of 12 and although the food was delicious, unfortunately we had to wait a long time for everything. The food was once again very tasty 😋. We also had competent and friendly service. The food was good and served in a reasonable time. A large cola costs €5.50 here, which is a lot, but unfortunately normal now. Since we have the BmyKoblenz voucher book, we received a dish for free and got away cheaply 😀. We can definitely recommend the restaurant for anyone who likes Mexican cuisine.

Rustic restaurant with lots of Cuba decoration

Starter nachos and pepperoni baked with cheese, served with salsa and garlic dip. We had the 100 and 103 as our main course and shared both dishes. Despite the large number of guests, the food was served relatively quickly and was very tasty. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. We were completely satisfied and would happily recommend it to anyone.

I was very shocked about the food. We ordered and less than 2 minutes later the food was on the table. So it was clear to me that e.g. B. the potato wedges are already pre-fried and only need to be thrown briefly into the deep fryer to get them hot. Unfortunately you couldn't taste it, as the crust was quite firm. The breaded calamari was okay, but that's not art. A meat dish that we ordered also didn't come to the table freshly made and the seasoning was unfortunately very poor. Cocktails still good.

We were looking forward to dinner together and wanted to try a new place. In short, my daughter immediately rejected the meat from the 'Rollo' because of the strange taste. The son, daughter and wife felt sick after not eating all of their food. And that for 1 10 euros. We won't go back here
