L‘ Arca - Ristorante Pizzeria in Waiblingen

After initial enthusiasm, the quality has plummeted for the third time. Both in terms of food and service. What a shame.

By chance, we, as a large family, wandered into this restaurant, seemingly unassuming from the outside, right on the beautiful Rems River. We were immediately greeted warmly. The menu offers something for every taste. We highly recommend this restaurant, even to families with children. All of our ordered dishes were delicious and plentiful. The atmosphere was very pleasant and casual. This certainly won't be our last visit!

Attention! In a way, these are two restaurants, but also only one. If you're lucky, you'll get a seat on the wooden deck or inside. They also serve pizza. If, like us, you don't have a reservation, you have to sit on the lower level on gravel and massive beer benches. Self-service is available at the kiosk across the street, but it's owned by the same owner. At the kiosk in question, for example, you can't get pizza, only pinsas (because that's what the owner wants). However, if you order pasta, they'll still come from the pizzeria (upstairs ;-)) So we sat downstairs and, in the absence of pizza, ordered three pinsas and one pasta. The pasta came quickly from the pizzeria and was okay. My family waited a full 60 minutes for the three pinsas. And it felt like they only came because we had already complained twice. Otherwise, the entire location is close to the Rems River, but you only have a view of the soccer field. So we certainly won't go there again, except maybe with a reservation on the wooden deck. However, we felt like there was a double standard here, too. There was nothing left for us. Half an hour later, three more tables were set up, and people were sitting down?! We're not Italian, and we're not friends of the owner either.

We ate there about a week ago. The food was delicious, especially the pizza. Hence only 2 stars. The service was very unpleasant. The waiter apparently found me attractive, so he completely ignored my girlfriend and just kept looking at me, asking if I liked it, if it was okay... I found that incredibly unpleasant, embarrassing, and inappropriate. The tables on the terrace should be checked for stability; ours wobbled and was very awkward for cutting pizza.

There were five of us there. It was my first time. Three of us ate, but we went in one at a time. We came here spontaneously on Corpus Christi when the weather was great. It was busy, but we still got a seat. Things are already getting going here. I've rarely seen such a careless, completely bare table as this one. We sat down, received an unspectacular greeting, and even worse service. It took forever to even get our menus. Since there are smokers among us, we asked for an ashtray. It never arrived, so we were forced to use the "large" one (on the floor/terrace). I don't even want to start on our extremely unusual drinks, like beer, water, etc. Anyway... Half an hour later, the drinks finally arrived. The food didn't even take that long, but it was also a disappointment. The pizza with mushrooms had everything on it but no mushrooms. It looked really disgusting and tasted sour/bitter. It looked a lot like a cut-up slug. My Rigatoni 4 formaggi were cold, could have been swimming in water for a good two minutes, and I would aptly describe the portion size as cute. The salad was so-so... The size was great, the freshness was meager, and I had to hunt for the dressing. It went on like that the whole time. Our neighbors in the restaurant didn't have much to laugh about either. Salt was brought when everyone had finished eating. Drinks either didn't come at all or came with the wrong kind. My juice was also a spritzer. The waiters didn't even think to apologize for the abnormally long wait for drinks. You have to go in to pay, and then they also have to know which table you're sitting at. I could go on and on. This was definitely my first and last time here. I would have loved to give more stars, but no chance. Even this one is too many in my opinion. Sorry, but I'm just being honest.

One of the best Italian restaurants in the Remstal valley. Delicious pizza. Prices are a bit higher. It's worth it.

We just wanted a drink and were refused service at 2:27 p.m. Would give 0 stars if it were possible

We were there for Sunday lunch. The pizza was okay, but the service was disappointing. First, the drinks were forgotten. One person had ordered a pizza, the other a vitello tonnato. The vitello tonnata never arrived. After 45 minutes and repeated requests, and when one of the pizzas was already half eaten, I was asked to order a pizza instead. The waiter then promised me an espresso, but of course, that never came either.

Were there on Sunday evening, 9 people. Unfortunately we didn't get our food at the same time and the people who ordered pizza had to wait 1.5 hours. Very weak in taste. My square pizza only tasted like cheese, some of the flavor came from the mortadella. Otherwise very heavy with all the cheese, the bottom was soft, but I was really hungry and wanted to eat something. Other pizzas were also weak in taste, without herbs etc. Vegetables with the fish also had to be seasoned, another meal was only lukewarm. Our wait was made up for with dessert at the end. Panna Cotta was delicious!

We expected a lot given the good reviews and unfortunately we were completely disappointed. We waited forever for the food, the main courses arrived far behind, one meal was cold and the pizzas were just average. The waitress tried to save what the kitchen had wasted, but that was the only positive thing.

... it can happen that things go wrong, but the way honest opinions are dealt with is not nice. insulted & no reaction at all Glasses dirty… food bland & watery sad to then ask for the full price. Once & never again.

Pleasant atmosphere and a magnificent chef

We had dinner with friends at L'Arca today and are really very happy with the fantastic food, the really nice ambience and, above all, the exceptional service! By far the number 1 in service is the friendly Greek Maki! Who served us very conscientiously and friendly from start to finish, leaving no wish unfulfilled!

I ate a pinsa, which tasted good. Unfortunately mine was a bit black on the edge, which I just removed. I didn't see this with the other Pinsa. Nice beer garden on the Rems.

Had grilled vegetables and bacon bread for dinner. The grilled vegetables were delicious, but the bread was a disaster. Of all the bread slices, all were hard. 😓🙈

One thing in advance: There are a variety of Italian restaurants in Waiblingen. But in my opinion L'Arca belongs to the Champions League. The food is delicious and authentic, the service is attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is very appealing. There is also outdoor seating.

We met with nine people. The name doesn't say it. The menu is much more extensive than the name pizzeria suggests. The service was quick and friendly, but failed when ordering an espresso (out of a total of 5 espressos) into a cup of coffee. We then drank five espressos and a cup of coffee.

Very good Italian. The Pizza Speciale with a filled crust is recommended. Price-performance fits. Also nice to sit outside. The only thing missing is seat cushions to prevent the checkered pattern. It's best to park at the Rubdsporthalle and walk across the Rems Bridge.

I can say that I rarely found a place where the pizza was made just like in Italy. It was really tasty and the place is also a nice one with nature around so it's really relaxing 🤗

Actually, I rarely give all stars because I always think there might be something better. In this case I have to say credit where credit is due. We were there to eat pizza. The pizzas were excellent. Some people may find the dough too thick or too thin. For me he was perfect. The service was super friendly and lovely. The ambience was “we felt very comfortable” for us. Would love to come back. Oh yes, the price was reasonable and good. Thumbs up.

I just got home from my birthday party at L"Arca and I have to say it was a great evening. We had a really delicious meal. There was a great appetizer platter, the main courses were really great, whether it was pasta or pizza, and the combination of the various desserts was the icing on the cake. The service was also incredibly nice and we felt very comfortable. Thank you for the lovely evening!

Freundlich, bescheiden, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Der Ober besticht dadurch, dass er alle Bestellungen ohne Zettel aufnimmt und die passen dann trotzdem. Sehr üppige Speisekarte. Darüberhinaus macht der Holzbau auch noch eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre.

Es war ein super Zufallstreffer, nah am Gewerbegebiet, beim reinkommen sofort sehr Freundliche Begrüßung top Service das Essen war erste Klasse.

Nachtrag: heute 3.10.23: zum 4. Mal da - passt alles - Pasta super al dente ;-) - Service - top Kellner - Ein Lieblingsitaliener? Auf jeden Fall! Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier. Aufgrund eines Artikels in der StZ sind wir aufmerksam geworden. Allein schon wegen des besonderen "Bauwerks" von Flecks, das wir bereits aus Stümpfelbach kannten, waren wir gespannt. Es hat alles super gepasst. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Der Inhaber war gut gelaunt und war für seine Gäste ein toller Gastgeber. Die Gäste hatten sichtlich Spaß. Der Wunsch nach einem trockenen, mineralischen, gut trinkbaren Rosé wurde perfekt umgesetzt. Die Pasta war sehr gut und unsere Pizza auch. Für einen entspannenden Abend mit gutem Essen, eine klare Empfehlung. Der Service hat uns charmant in mediterrane, ungezwungene, unkomplizierte Atmosphäre katapultiert - super! Grazie mille per l'ospitlità!

Wir waren heute zum wiederholten Mal hier. Wieder waren wir rundum zufrieden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Salat war reichlich und frisch, Spaghetti Scoglio richtig al dente und die Pizza mit Sardellen und Kapern super kross. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren an einem Dienstag Abend da. Das war ein seltener kinderunfreundlicher Italiener. Getränke (Saftschorle) gibt es nur in 0,4L-Gläsern, nicht kleiner. Das würde nicht gehen. Genauso bei den Gerichten. Unsere Töchter teilten sich die Nudeln also. Statt Rigatoni kamen Spaghetti. Egal. Bei unseren Freunden war es nicht möglich eine kleinere Portion anzubieten. Mitnehmen oder wegschmeissen, kam vom Personal. Am Ende kam der Kellner von alleine mit Alufolie und einem ToGo-Gefäss, das war gut mitgedacht. Der Meeresfrüchtesalat kam ohne Brot. Essig und Öl hätten auch auf den Tisch gehört. Das Essen für uns kam nacheinander. Besteck kam erst nach dem Essen an den Tisch. Pizza war gut. Der Salat meiner Frau etwas welk. Es waren nicht alle Tische besetzt, so dass man nicht verstehen kann, warum die Kellner schwimmen. Zahlung nur per EC. Alles klar.

Essen in Ordnung. War dem Preis entsprechend. Waren jedoch im Biergarten und nicht in der Pizzeria arca. Die Karten sind unterschiedlich, deshalb gehe ich nicht davon aus, dass beides zusammen gehört. Die Bewertung betrifft somit den Biergarten. Die Speisen können bestellt werden am servicefenster. Das Essen wird an den Tisch gebracht. Die Qualität ist ok, jedochwirkt alles sehr einfach. Hatten den Fitnesssalat mit Lachs. Das Dressing ist Geschmackssache, ich denke jedoch da ist Verbesserung möglich. Wir hatten sonst Kinderessen wie Chicken Nuggets und pommes. Die waren i.O.. Pizza gibt es scheinbar nur im arca. Der Biergarten bietet lediglich pinsa flammkuchen und sonstiges. Gesamtpaket i.O. Speisenauswahl biergardenlike.

Hatten bestellt und abgeholt. War sehr lecker. Gibt nichts zu meckern... Werden wieder dort abholen und bestimmt auch mal Vorort essen.

Wir waren vor kurzem mit 11 Personen am Sonntag mittags gekommen. Tische wurden für uns zusammengestellt und wir sind zuvorkommend bedient worden! Die Speisen haben uns sehr überzeugt, waren richrig geschmackvoll und wir haben diese italienische Zubereitung geliebt. Wir kommen natürlich wieder.

Die legere Kleidung der Mitarbeiter mutet manchem als schmuddelig an. Das betrifft das alte La Nonna- das jetzt nur noch als Pinsa, Flammkuchen und co Biergarten dient-, nicht das Restaurant l‘Arca. Die Tische darf man selber wischen. Die Belegschaft ist freundlich aber oft lautstark mit ihren - offensichtlich italienischen- Familienangelegenheiten beschäftigt. Muss man mögen.

Essen war lecker. Vorspeise Vitello tonnato war eher Durchschnitt. Pizza war sehr lecker gab eine gute Auswahl. Getränkepreise waren fair. Der Service war bemüht aber eher eine 3/10 der Herr mit der Glatze hatte wenigstens noch etwas Überblick aber der jüngere Herr hatte bereits Probleme die Speisen an den Nachbartisch zu bringen, ging gerade so gut. Wir fragten nach einem Aschenbecher, der dauerte ewig. Ob wir Salz bekommen könnten hies es ja natürlich dieser kam den kompletten Abend nicht. Auf unseren Wunsch zu zahlen mussten wir ewig warten. Der Service war eher lustlos und unprofessionell nicht passend zu den Speisen. Vorspeise und Hauptspeise kam zeitnah. Das Ambiente war okay, die Tische und Stühle passen nicht zusammen der Tisch ist zu kurz für die Stühle man sitzt im Tischfuß. Ich habe auch noch nicht ganz verstanden wo Restaurant und wo Biergarten ist.

Ich habe Frittierten Tintenfisch gegessen der hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Essen Auswahl ist groß. Das Lokal liegt etwas außerhalb ist aber gut mit Auto und Öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut zu erreichen. Das Lokal liegt an der Rems und im Naturschutzgebiet es gibt eine Parkanlage in der man die Natur genießen kann. Zu Empfehlen ist sich eine einen Platz zu reservieren da das Lokal sehr gut besucht ist.

Hervorragendes italienisches Restaurant! Die Pasta war perfekt al dente und die Pizza herrlich knusprig. 🇮🇹👌 Der aufmerksame Service rundete das tolle Erlebnis ab. Sehr empfehlenswert für alle Liebhaber der italienischen Küche! 🍽️👍

Nach vielen positiven Rückmeldungen, wollten wir dies gestern selbst ausprobieren. Der Service war sehr langsam und lustlos. Pizza lecker. Nachtisch war schlecht, also Tiramisu war sauer! Das war richtig eklig. Nicht mal eine Entschuldigung oder ähnliches. Schade….

Das etwas andere italienische Restaurant, vom Gebäude her gesehen. Im Hochsommer drinnen sehr(!) warm. Wer reserviert hätte könnte draußen sitzen... Aber zur besten schwäbischen Abendessenszeit kommen und wollen, so saßen wir drinnen. Schönes Ambiente, netter Service - hätten aber mindestens 2 Personen mehr sein dürfen - dafür das alle Plätze außen belegt waren. Aber trotz des Stress haben sie den Humor nicht verloren. Leckere Pizza (Parma) und toll gegrillte Dorade. Zweiter Besuch, mit Tisch Reservierung, kommt sicher.

Schöner schattiger Biergarten La Nonna. Haben Bestellung aufgegeben und auch gleich gezahlt. Leider unprofessioneller Service: haben 45 Min. auf 2 Pizzen ("Pinsas") gewartet. Auf zwischenzeitliche Nachfrage wurde gesagt, es komme "gleich". Kein Wort der Entschuldigung. Servicekraft konnte offensichtlich auch kein Deutsch. Pizza mit Meeresfrüchten war lediglich mit geschmacklosen Tintenfischringen und 3 kleinen Krabben belegt. Ausserdem mit 13,50 € ziemlich überteuert. Gerade mal 3 Sterne nur für das schöne Ambiente.

Toll gelegener Biergarten, der nach dem Umbau ein typisch schönes Biergartenambiente hat. Essen ist lecker, Weizenbier vom Fass sehr süffig. Ein Biergarten fast wie in der Paulaner Werbung, Für mich einer der schönsten Biergarten in Waiblingen.

Das Essen hat super lecker geschmeckt und die Bediener waren sehr freundlich. Die Location befinde sich in eine schöne Sportanlagen mit viel Grün und frische Luft und die Struktur des Restaurants fast nur aus Holz ist was besonderes und fabelhaft. Ich würde das Restaurant weiter empfehlen.

Da wir eine halbe Stunde saßen und keiner uns bedienen wollte oder zu wenig Angestellte da waren, wird es schwer das Essen zu beurteilen. Hatten echt Hunger und daher sind wir dann gegangen ohne auch nur was zu trinken bestellen zu können. 2 Sterne gibt es dann doch, weil wir wenigstens kostenlos dort sitzen konnten.

Auch anstrengende Kinder sind kein Problem. Genug Platz zum draußen toben. Toller Service, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Essen super lecker. Gerne wieder

Lage ist sehr gut. Großer Parkplatz bei der Rundsporthalle. Der Service war freundlich und zügig. Ich hatte eine Pizza Napoli. Definitiv neue Benchmark und richtig lecker. Gut belegt und der dünne Boden war kross. Für mich definitiv ein sehr guter Laden, welchen ich gerne wieder besuchen werde.

Noch nie so eine große Pizza bekommen. Die Meeresfrüchte waren allerdings sehr Tintenfisch lastig. Wir waren zu dritt da und waren einer Meinung, es wurde mit Gewürzen zu sehr gespart. Der Service war sehr gut.
