I always love Kymata and actually drive about two hours there. Whether with a party on the weekend or just for dinner during the week (I've only been there once, it's too far), it's always great! I think the food is fantastic, especially the mixed starters, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is beautiful. A big thank you also to the manager, who once, just at our request/begging :-), played for us on a Friday/holiday, even though there weren't many guests. But he gave us girls a great evening. Thanks!

We wanted to celebrate a friend's birthday on Saturday with 12 people at Kymata. Two days before the party, the birthday girl was contacted and given an ultimatum: either she order a three-course meal worth €800 (minimum spend) or she could spend her birthday somewhere else. The reason: it was supposed to rain that day (?!). Understandably, the birthday girl didn't want to simply accept this ultimatum. Most of our group are women and physically unable to handle a three-course Greek meal. Forcing your 12 guests to shell out at least €70 (+ drinks) two days before the party to attend is at least as annoying as mobilizing €800 at short notice for a relaxing evening with friends. Yes, even in Munich, there are average earners who want to go out to dinner together every now and then. It's just as annoying (and nearly impossible) to organize a new location for 12 people on Thursday for the following Saturday evening. Can you understand our friend's displeasure? I think so. Is it a reason to yell at her on the phone and simply cancel her reservation? I don't think so. The icing on the cake was that our friend's corresponding review (which, to be honest, was far too mild for the context) was met with absolute rudeness, disrespect, and a distortion of the facts. Among other things, we were told that "McDonald's has great menus for under €25, including a game room you can rent," "a little tip" from Kymata. Of course, the comment has since been removed. But it exists as a screenshot in our group, dear Kymata team. In 10 years in the restaurant industry, I've never experienced such treatment. Menus and package prices are negotiated at the time of reservation, not shortly before with a metaphorical gun to the guest's chest. Such a disgusting, disrespectful response to the review left us all absolutely stunned. Fortunately, we were able to find another—a truly beautiful—location with friendly staff. I'm left with two questions: Did Kymata, in its euphoria, not realize that it's still not a Michelin-starred, exclusive, upscale spot for Munich's rich and famous? And: WHAT'S going on with you guys?

We ate at the Kymata Modern restaurant last night based on an Instagram post. The restaurant is large, modern, and stylishly decorated – it definitely makes an impression at first glance. Unfortunately, there are a few weaknesses: The restrooms appear poorly maintained compared to the rest of the ambiance and not up to the standard. The food itself was visually appealing, but priced at the high end. The appetizer platter for two was varied, but lacked that special flavor kick. The sea bass in a salt crust was excellently prepared – unfortunately, we weren't informed when ordering that no side dishes were included. This wasn't clearly stated on the menu either. So we sat at the table with the filleted fish – without any side dishes. When asked, the waiter simply replied, "You didn't order any." Only afterward – after we asked again – were the side dishes brought to us, when the fish was already cold. The staff was friendly and attentive, but overall seemed inexperienced and not well-coordinated. Conclusion: A chic ambiance with potential, but there's definitely room for improvement in service and communication. Unfortunately, it was our first and last visit.

We were at Kymata on Saturday – unfortunately, the start was really disappointing. We had reserved inside, but were seated outside. When we asked, the owner said we wouldn't be allowed in until we spent at least €80 per person. After a lengthy discussion, we were finally allowed in. What really bothered us, though, was that apparently the seating is determined by how much skin you show. Scantily clad women were able to get in without any problems, while men or women dressed normally had to sit outside. It almost seemed as if the whole concept was aimed at seating attractive women in the middle so they were "highly visible." We found that really uncomfortable and, to be honest, questionable. Despite everything: the food was great, the service was very friendly, and we still had fun in the end – partly because we brought the atmosphere into the place with us. Dear Kymata team: Maybe you should reconsider whether your concept is really as fair as it should be. A nice seat shouldn't depend on how much you're wearing.

We found this address thanks to a TikTok ad. The ambiance is very appealing. The drinks are delicious. The starter is also delicious, although VERY expensive for the amount of food (pizza bread costs extra). Disillusionment set in with the main course. My souvlaki was overcooked, unfortunately just dry and barely seasoned. The side dish, which was supposed to be grilled vegetables, was also disappointing. In summary – more show than substance! The price-performance ratio here is completely out of this world. The bill was impressive – €260 for 4 people.

Despite the large number of guests, it was very comfortable to talk, as there was enough space between tables to feel relaxed and private. Be sure to reserve a table in advance. We had a very disappointing evening at Kymata Modern Restaurant. The experience was characterized by poor service, inattentiveness, and disrespectful behavior from the staff. We ordered an appetizer platter, then briefly went to smoke, and explicitly informed the waiter that we would be back soon. When we returned to our table a few minutes later, our appetizer platter—about half of which remained—had been completely cleared away. When we asked about it, the waiter responded with complete incomprehension and in an aggressive tone, saying, "What do you want now?" Instead of an apology or a solution, we were simply brought a small bowl of garlic dip. The remaining appetizer, for which we had obviously paid, was not replaced or refunded. The drink service was also disastrous. We had to repeat our orders several times because they were simply ignored or forgotten. The staff were consistently unfriendly, seemed disinterested, and gave the impression that our presence was more of an intrusion than a welcome one. This was particularly disappointing because the restaurant was almost empty. There were more free tables than occupied ones, and the staff definitely wasn't overwhelmed. Especially under such circumstances, courteous service is the least one can expect. Conclusion: We felt neither welcome nor appreciated. The service was disrespectful, unprofessional, and unacceptable. We will definitely not visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it to anyone.

An excellent place to eat. We were a group of 5 people, so we ordered a variety of food to try and I can say that everything was fantastic. From the starters, to the main course and the desserts. A fantastic experience and a highly recommended place.

We were at the restaurant with a large group and were, unfortunately, very disappointed overall. The service was unfriendly, unattentive, and extremely slow – we had to wait almost half an hour for the drinks menu after repeatedly asking. The bill also took forever. For group reservations, pre-made menus were mandatory, which were neither customizable nor customizable. The portions were very small – many of us didn't get enough – and were disproportionate to the price. Overall, a very disappointing experience; neither the service nor the food impressed us. We were there on Easter Monday, there were four of us. We ordered an appetizer platter for ourselves, the price was way too expensive. For the main course we order a fish platter for two people and a meat platter for two people. The main course was served on cold plates, so that the fish and meat cooled down very quickly. Furthermore, we were given small plates for the main course, which were also cold. All I could say about the service was that the people were very inattentive.

We 4-6 people always like to try out new places. This time it was Kymata. Our experience was very sobering. The food, no matter what, was completely over-seasoned. The mashed potatoes were almost liquid and out of the bag...I don't want to go into everything now. The service was good. There's nothing to complain about there. Totally strange location, strange building from the outside, strange entrance area up the stairs. But once you're inside, you're suddenly in by far the best Greek restaurant in all of Munich! It's not the classic blue and white Greek wooden chair but a very modern version, but it works great! The service is very attentive, the quality of the food is absolutely top class! The place is really great and the food is amazing!!! The only 2 problems for me were at the service: waiters are super nice but I think it’s very rude to lift the plate of one person while the other is still eating. This happens in Germany really often but I don’t really understand why! The restaurant was empty and I will not pay before my friend ends her food!!! The second was the fact that we were waiting really a lot to pay the bill. The waiter took a phone call and disappeared. Other than these 2 moments the place is really pleasant 🙂

These portions here in this restaurant are a disgrace for the money and the food isn't even tasty, tough meat. No thanks. Again in my opinion a posh restaurant which destroys the prices a bottle of water €8.90 🤣🤣sorry but you can only laugh... I'm aware that a Greek meal is always a bit more expensive, but that's outrageous if I still need McDonald's afterwards because I'm still hungry afterwards... Anyone who goes there is their own fault, I have no pity 🤷‍♀️ The only positive thing is the decoration and the ambience, but the owner of the place also pays for it...

We first ordered cocktails and then five starters, two main courses and two had dessert, but we had several carafes of wine and cocktails. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kymata Restaurant and I must say it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was very welcoming and cozy, perfect for a relaxed dinner. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to welcome us and advise us on our choice of dishes. The menu offers an excellent selection of fresh, Mediterranean dishes, all prepared with love. The highlight of the evening was definitely the fresh fish dish – it was perfectly prepared and simply delicious. The starters and desserts were also excellent. You can tell that high quality and fresh ingredients are used in the kitchen. Went to Kymata for the first time last night and found out about it through Instagram. ❤️ We were greeted in a super friendly manner. The food was then placed very professionally and we immediately had a very friendly waiter. Our table was looked after perfectly. The mixed starters were an absolute hit, simply super delicious, everything was lovingly served on small plates and platters. The main courses were also delicious. From around 10 p.m. things really started happening. There was dancing, laughing and celebrating. This modern tavern is located in the middle of a quiet residential area in Nymphenburg. Parking is no problem at all. There were ten of us there for dinner. The reservation via the website worked well. An hour before arrival I confirmed the 10 people again; We didn't understand why the food was only set up for 8 people and two people had to eat at a smaller table next to it. We also didn't think the plastic curtains inside and outside between the tables of other guests were pretty (in order to be able to put them as close together as possible despite Corona and make more sales). But otherwise it was very nice inside. The service was quick and attentive, but I have experienced it more warmly from other Greeks. Speaking of service: why does the website contain so many English terms (“About us”, “Gallery”, “Quality Wines”) as well as the reservation confirmation? To eat: it was beautifully presented on specially shaped and colored earthenware. We ate a lot from calamari to sea bream (€18.90 without side dishes) to florinis (€8.40) and gyros (€11.30 without side dishes). The gyros were very salty for all three guests, but otherwise we thought the food was great. We were particularly impressed by Briam, the new discovery of the week. The portions were big enough for me, but they could be bigger for men. We'd love to come back.

Excellent restaurant in our neighbourhood. We went there after a friend recommended us. We had a super nice Valentine’s dinner with my partner. We recommend their mixed appetiser and the chef recommended roasted lamb shoulder. Their cocktails are also delicious. The service was impeccable. Would definitely come back here. Underground service. Incredibly unfriendly and absolutely not up to the standard they want to sell. We waited at the bar for over an hour without an explanation for the delay or attention and were only put off in an unfriendly manner after repeated inquiries. No excuse. After an hour of waiting we were seated at a table with strangers!? We were then moved to a table for two, but unfortunately the vegetarian dishes were not vegetarian. The vegetarian part mainly consisted of dips that were served without bread or anything similar. Instead we were actively asked to pay tips!? Wtf. Never go to this store again.

I've been there several times and it didn't occur to me at first, but now that I'm reading all the reviews I think we've been ripped off! You also buy cheap alcohol, we had a really good drink after the stay. Dizziness, nausea from 2 cocktails, very strange. For 4 days, those who drank the cocktails had a severe headache, numb fingers. Just don't drink cocktails! Dear wine, they can't fool you!

Yesterday I went to this restaurant with my girlfriends and it was a completely unpleasant experience. What we immediately noticed was that a man, presumably the owner or manager, was walking around all evening with a laser in his hand and was using it completely inappropriately. He aimed the laser not only at the employees, but also directly into the faces of the guests. His behavior was consistently aggressive - he bullied the staff and constantly disturbed the guests. Instead of creating a pleasant atmosphere, he loudly forced visitors to get up and dance as if it were not a choice but a duty. I've never experienced anything like this before. Additionally, the online prices do not match those in the store, which is very misleading.

There are authentic Greek specialties here (I know what I'm talking about 😀). Except for the profiterol, everything tasted excellent and the presentation of the food was fantastic. The starters in particular are amazing! The waitresses are very nice and are happy to have a chat or two.

Unfortunately a very bad experience. We had a closed society. Apparently the company is not set up for this. Plates of food to “share” arrived at very long intervals. Hot dishes were still no longer even lukewarm (especially absurd with fried dishes). There was never any cutlery to distribute the food. Overall, a gastronomic outrage.

The boss has no respect for customers. The restaurateurs' motto should be customer is king and not the boss is king.

The atmosphere is fantastic, I can say that the place is one of the nicest Greek restaurants in Munich... but the food is very average, I had more expectations than what I saw on social media. Due to workload, the employees are very rude!

First restaurant and from 10 p.m. club. Successful concept with a great ambience.

Very good food; higher price level: all side dishes must be ordered and paid for with the main course; very courteous and attentive service: E.g. we dropped a fork and a waiter immediately rushed over and brought us a new fork; I haven't experienced such a quick and courteous response in a long time.

We ate very well (starter, main course and dessert) and the atmosphere is really nice!

We are very satisfied. Always happy!
