The food tasted very good and was of excellent quality, the service was great, the mood and atmosphere was great, and the prices were fair. Rarely seen such great quality. Compliments to the owners and the service!

We had a very nice evening, were warmly welcomed and were allowed to choose a table. Very cozy and nicely decorated. I was recommended a refreshing aperitif. The appetizer with the peppers and feta was very tasty. The main course with salmon is highly recommended. The salmon was very tender and perfectly cooked, the sauce with it was also delicious, the vegetables were a bit hard and could perhaps be chosen a little differently. But that is a personal feeling. The Kymata plate, meat, fries and tzatziki very good. Next time at this upscale Greek restaurant we would probably choose a different meat dish to try something special. The chocolate souffle was freshly prepared and we were also informed that it would take 15 minutes. In terms of taste, it was super delicious and also particularly presented with the dry ice. Unfortunately, the second dessert was far too sweet. Of course, with a starter, main course, dessert and several drinks, we had a pretty high bill. But you can do that for a special evening. :) We'll definitely be back!

After an initially pleasant evening, our visit to the restaurant unfortunately turned into a disappointment. There were 6 of us and we had reserved a table - we were initially told we could stay until 9 p.m. We ordered aperitifs, starters and main courses and finally desserts. While we were still being served dessert, the bill was placed on the table - that alone is not appropriate. At 8:40 p.m. we were told in a very rude manner that we should leave immediately because the table was needed. There was no one waiting in line at the entrance and this kind of being thrown out is the lowest level. We are disappointed and it was probably the last time we visited the restaurant. We are very well connected in Nymphenburg and we can no longer recommend this restaurant. Ultimately, it doesn't seem to be the audience that is wanted here anyway - a different level. It's a shame, because the cooks do a good job.

It's a really strange but fun place. I never got bored of being there. I was just saddened by not being able to see the food I ate. I can't say the lighting was inadequate because I couldn't decide whether it was a disco or a restaurant, but it was fun.

If you're looking for dinner and a party all in one, you've come to the right place! You feel like you're on vacation, the concept definitely works. Food very tasty, good and nice service! Prices for Munich conditions and the performance are also okay. Always happy to come for girls' nights or birthday parties. DJ could do some work on the transitions but everything else is great😄

We still know the former restaurant. As part of our visit to Munich, we visited Kymata, which was new to us, for the first time. The cuisine is still delicious, the staff friendly and accommodating. The location and the ambience is great. You can definitely celebrate great parties here.

There was an attempt to take my review down - was reinstated by Google after I provided the confirmations of the visit. Very mixed impression overall. Booked a table for 20:30 Saturday to enjoy a girls night out (couple of them were visiting restaurant during the day, so the expectations were set high). Food-wise fantastic: Moussaka was very properly made with the good slicing and proportion of minced meat, just like home-made somewhere in Greece. The hybrid dining / party concept is a rare thing in Munich and definitely a good idea, but the execution is unfortunately below par due to several crucial moments: - overall the place is rather chaotic, both with seating and navigation, unfortunately no one pays attention to anyone entering and going around. Except for a bouncer…out of curiousity, why would a restaurant in Laim have a bouncer at the entrance? - full inability to speak to the people sitting directly at your table because music is blaring extremely loud and is accompanied by a full-fledge „Eurovision style“ lightshow. I love good entertainment and visual effects, but somewhere starting from 22:00. - we were waiting at the bar for 20 min for supposed reservation made a week in advance - as it was not enough, after ordering and receiving the first round of drinks, we were actively being asked to take our glasses and change tables as a „better fitting“ bigger male group has arrived. That was quite a surprising moment that I have never experienced anywhere else before and found it, honestly, complete nonsense of very openly prioritizing some guests over others. After all of the above no surprise that overall feel and vibe dropped at the lowest low and even some dance showtime at the end didn’t manage to resuscitate it. Sad.

We had the mixed starters, chicken, lamb chop and tempura prawns. The food tasted good, but nothing special for the price. We were surprised that you have to order the side dishes separately for the main courses, €30 for 4 cutlets without side dishes is a steep price compared to other Greek restaurants. You definitely pay for the location here. It's more of a party place where lots of bachelorette parties, birthdays, etc. are celebrated. Not to eat comfortably. For partying - yes, for a cozy meal where the focus is on the food - no.

A wannabe party Greek next to the dog park. If you like the kind of clientele (bling-bling, macho attitude) then you've come to the right place. If you're expecting a Greek restaurant with courteous service, delicious food and ambience, then you've come to the wrong place. Unfortunately we can't say anything about the food because we left beforehand. Unfriendly staff, the service concept is not lived here either, it's best for me as a customer to solve the staff's problems. Very disappointing, no recommendation.

Celebrated a birthday there. Everything was clean, nicely prepared. service was nice and very quick. starter was delicious. The main course was okay but nothing special. We had a fish platter and a meat plate for 4 people. Unfortunately there wasn't even tzatziki or any other sauces - which made the whole thing a dry affair. At around 11 p.m. there was a party with cool lighting. In terms of price, it is rather expensive (42€ for a bottle of white wine, 10.9€ for Aperol and just under 8€ for a bottle of mineral water…) Anyone who likes the party greek concept will definitely be happy here - but unfortunately for us it was too expensive for the food and drinks on offer

The best Greek restaurant in Munich? I can't understand. Soggy briam with half-raw potatoes, tasteless oregano on the feta, grilled calamari on a cold plate, food and drinks extremely expensive.

The four of us had a very nice evening. A fine selection of starters was enjoyed by two people and four people - it was varied and delicious. The various main courses of fish and meat were excellent, as was the respective dessert. The service was very quick, friendly and accommodating! We had a delicious and lovely evening in a lovely atmosphere.

Celebrated a friend's bachelorette party at Kymata. I personally liked it. The food is excellent. The selection too. There is something for everyone. Drinks menu also very extensive. The typical Kymata party starts at 11.30 p.m. Good music - mainly Greek-Balkan-Turkish. The atmosphere is great and everyone should actually get involved and join in, no matter where they are from. The only thing I didn't like at all was the mood and tone of the waiters... it continued to decline as the evening went on... Some of them didn't know what was on the menu... Whether a dish/cocktail was possible, whether everything is there... the later the evening, the longer we had to wait for drinks and sometimes we just weren't served anymore... of course it could also have something to do with the fact that we didn't order bottles of expensive alcohol... But oh well... . Overall, great concept, very good food, mega party but be careful when choosing staff...

I would like to express some mixed feelings about this restaurant as well, especially after my friends review was intentionally taken down as being considered " defamation". We went out in April to spend some quality time together as friends. We were very surprised by how the place looks so per total (the place and the music) created a great atmosphere! The food was alright. But then the service was already from the beginning a little shady (asked for a wine menu, never received one only the waiter's recommendation, poor attitude). The cherry on top of the cake was the bill at the end. My friends and I left at different times during the night so everybody paid their own food. Most of us shared the wine and shots plus one appetizer so that should have been the only things left on the bill at the end. One of my friends stayed with me until the end and big was our surprise when we ended up paying for things we never had on our table. We also left 30 euros tips for this specific bill. When we checked outside, we immediately called our friends to check with them if any of the items belonged to them and they forgot to pay them. Everyone paid for their consumption and had the bank statement to prove it but the main waiter (the older one) only wrote on pieces of papers for two of my friends what they need to pay and for the rest they even did a bill. Meaning all the extra was even added after my friends paid. We spent more than 30 minutes to bargain with them and try to repair their wrong doing, and we were specifically not allowed to talk to the MANAGER which we later saw shouting at the waiters in a very aggressive and scary way. They first took 50 euro out from the cash drawer and threw it to us like "take this and we're good", my friend was taken in the kitchen by the elderly waiter who tried to explain the paper situation, but we didn't give up and we fixed the bill with the pen only to discover it was actually 97.3 euro difference approximately. They gave us 100 euro back and never said sorry. All of my friends that paid separately also left tips which I find even more unfair from them not to have told us to take our tips back as well. I'm a restaurateur myself and eat out a lot, today for the first time at Kymata. Highly recommended from reception to farewell. They had the warm and cold starter variation, sea wolf in a salt crust for the main course and a chocolate souffle for dessert. The food and service was very professional. I read some of the bad reviews in advance. I think these reviews are from people who go out to eat every now and then and spend 30 euros and think that they buy it locally and that it should all be about them. But that's not the case. People should appreciate and reward such service at this time. If something really goes wrong, it always makes sense to contact management directly instead of writing nasty comments straight away. I'm definitely looking forward to the next time at Kymata.

I had made a reservation for around 18-20 guests and planning with these menus was very difficult as not everyone was meat or fish, but unfortunately the Kymata did not offer any other alternative. Nevertheless, everyone was forced to decide on a menu, with the comment that we don't eat pork and that this should be replaced with other alternatives; Afterwards we were given new menu selections that were €15 more expensive. 6 days before my planned celebration, I received an email that my old colleague, who is no longer employed there, forgot to mention: that there is an additional drinks flat rate in addition to the menu selections and that each guest pays between €30-40 in addition to the menu and drinks Must order (alcoholic) - by 10:30 p.m. From then on the club begins in Kymata and after that you are still required to order drinks. If I could, I would give even fewer stars. First of all, the table reservation was messed up. Apparently the competencies are not clearly distributed here. We've been waiting for our food for exactly 1.5 hours and there's no end in sight... In the meantime, guests who came after us were served starters and main courses. And that with a not unusually high number of guests, considering the number of tables. After repeated reminders about time and that we would like to reduce the purchase price if it took any longer, we were asked to leave. The fact that the whole thing was supposed to be a birthday party makes it all the worse.

The location is really beautiful. BUT ! My friend had reserved a table for two for her birthday, 5 weeks in advance! The reservation was also confirmed to her by email, when we got there we were greeted condescendingly, this service person or whatever, coldly told us that she had no room for us and pointed a dismissive finger at a single stool the bar. We explained to her that we had made a reservation weeks ago and she simply shrugged her shoulders and left us standing at the bar. Every now and then she glanced over at us slightly but that was it. After waiting about 15 minutes to see if we might be offered a seat, we decided to go. The new ambience in Kymata modern is really well done. The seating areas are comfortable, there is space for 5-6 people and the atmosphere is luxurious. There isn't much left of the old Kymata with friendly staff and good food. There are many waiters but unfortunately it takes too long for someone to finally come to the table. The food has also become too "modern" with small portions, limp fries and sour Greek yogurt! That should not be. This can be done better.

Unfortunately, we couldn't tell from the website that the new location was a disco restaurant, otherwise we would probably have been less disappointed with the ambience because we wouldn't have come. I can only share the experiences of the other reviews, the food was dry/cold and completely overpriced. Gyros out at 9 p.m. With the souvlaki you are asked whether you want rice or fries, only to find out later that the portion of fries (maximum 50g) is charged extra for €5.80. The service was mediocre at best, but what do you expect when you can't even understand the person sitting next to you. The vegan souvlaki was outrageously small, the vegetables you were talking about weren't available, the falafel was dry (I suspect it was warmed up again instead of freshly prepared) and the rice given was about a spoonful. This place may be recommended for parties, but certainly not for food.

Service: not really friendly, hectic, there were 2 groups, so we (only 2) were pretty neglected/ignored at first. Our table wasn't cleaned. Eat: Starter: tasted very good, but didn't get any bread, only after asking twice. Main course: the fish platter (for 2 people) costs almost 50 E without side dishes, I would have expected a little more on the plate. My shrimp wasn't edible, that can happen, I reported it and... nothing. No apology, no replacement, just nothing. A pity.

We were very excited that we had discovered such a great, luxurious Greek restaurant here in this city. You immediately feel like you're on vacation. The food and drinks are excellent. The menu offers an exquisite selection of traditional Greek dishes. Another reason why I appreciate the restaurant so much are the unforgettable party evenings I experienced there. Whether birthday parties or other special occasions – the Kymata offers the perfect backdrop for exuberant parties and unforgettable memories. The great atmosphere, delicious food and first-class service help make every celebration an unforgettable event. Last but not least, I would like to highlight the boss & Pano, who are simply great. Das Essen war gut, jedoch überteuert für das was es war, München eben. Der Service war nicht mehr als in Ordnung! Das Restaurant war voll ( Samstag Abend), somit wurde uns das Essen schnell und lieblos auf den Tisch geklatscht. Um weitere Getränke zu erhalten mussten wir den Kellner zu uns rufen. Das Ambiente und das Publikum ist nicht mein Geschmack , die männlichen Gäste prollig, die weiblichen wirkten billig, bedürftig und stillos. Um 21:30 Uhr wurde die schlechte Musik so laut, dass man kein Wort mehr wechseln konnte. Wir haben das Restaurant völlig überstimuliert, aufgrund der ständig blinkenden Lichter und schlechten, viel zu lauten Musik, fluchtartig verlassen. Sehr schade , es gibt andere Alternativen in München die dem Wort „ Partygrieche“ wirklich gerecht werden. Hier nicht, deshalb werden wir nicht wieder kommen. Dies ist aber nicht schlimm , da wir wie wir an diesem Abend festgestellt haben, nicht zur Zielgruppe gehören und auch nicht zu dem vom Restaurant gewünschten Publikum gehören möchten.

This is not how you treat guests/people. Your arrogant comment here only reflects my unpleasant experience with you. Absolutely disrespectful.

Scheinbar wird hier systematisch am Wochenende überbucht. Trotz schon seit einer Woche vorher erfolgter Reservierung, wurde uns wohlgemerkt vom Türsteher mitgeteilt, dass sie leider keinen Platz mehr für uns haben. Die Besitzer halten es noch nicht einmal für Nötig vorher anzurufen und sich zumindest zu entschuldigen, sondern lassen ihre Gäste die reserviert haben erstmal antanzen, um ihnen dann zu sagen sie hätten jetzt doch keinen Platz. So etwas unverschämtes hab ich wirklich noch nie erlebt. Scheinbar waren wir auch nicht die einzigen. In so einem Laden sollte man keinen Cent lassen!

Die Organisation vor Ort ist bodenlos, wenn sich trotz Reservierungen am Samstag Abend riesige schlangen von wartenden Menschen vor der Tür bilden, da der Laden offensichtlich Maßlose Überbuchungen zulässt. Hier wird es auch nicht für angebracht erachtet den Gästen vorab telefonisch abzusagen oder die Reservierungen rechtzeitg zu stornieren,auch im Hinblick darauf, dass sich die Location völlig abgelegen in einer Art Industriegebiet befindet und nicht einfach zu erreichen ist. Stattdessen fährt man voller Freude für einen schönen Abend dort hin, um nach 30min Wartezeit in der kälte trotz zugesagter Reservierung ohne begründung abgewiesen zu werden. Nach welchen kriterien der Einlass und ein Tisch zugeteilt werden ließ sich bei dem durcheinander nicht ganz ableiten und wurde auch nicht kommuniziert, Vitamin B könnte bei diesem unprofessionellen Personal aber sicherlich helfen, denn die Buddies durften alle an der wartenden Schlange vorbei direkt rein gehen. Dies ist übrigens an diesem Abend kein Einzelfall gewesen, sondern im selben Zeitraum bei mindestens 6-7 festen Reservierungen passiert die ebenfalls gewartet haben!!! Größter Saftladen in München und in keinsterweise weiter zu empfehlen für diese Unverschämtheit, außer ihr möchtet euch euren Abend auf gut Glück an der Kymata-Tür-Lotterie vermiesen.

Disappointed. I didn't make it to the restaurant because they were overbooked even though we made a reservation a week ago and arrived on time. They also made us wait outside for half an hour before announcing that we couldn't come in, which got to the point that we couldn't find another restaurant to eat at that evening. Don't even bother going there.

Das Restaurant enttäuschte mich auf ganzer Linie. Unhöfliches und arrogantes Personal machten meinen Besuch unangenehm. Die unmenschliche und geldorientierte Atmosphäre, speziell gegenüber neuen Gästen, sorgte für eine negative Erfahrung. Ich werde definitiv nicht wiederkommen.

We made a reservation and when getting there on time, they said they don’t have tables. Very unfriendly staff - made our celebration evening really frustrating. Don’t recommend.

My friends and I got a reservation there (with confirmation email) and arrived on time. They told us that our table would be available only 30 minutes later! We waited outside and then after this time they told us that we would not be able to dinner there. That was very disappointing because we were excited about this place and the approach of their staff was not friendly. They even said that if they allowed everyone with booking to go inside they would have a problem. ( Doesn't make sense to us) After all we left the place late at night and hungry. Also we had a hard time finding an open place and with space for us to dinner.

Schlechte unhöfliche Servic. Man wird reingelassen,wenn man haufen Geld hat. Man muss mehrere Flaschen bestellen ,damit man einen Tisch für 7 Leuten bekommt trotz Reservierung. Sehr respektlos . Genervte Servic und überforderte Eindruck von den. Nicht zum Empfehlen.

Very impolite!!! The answer was very arrogant. Either we should spend €600 or leave. We won't go there again. When talking to the manager he didn't even look us in the eye, he just replied annoyed, even though there were many seats available

Schöne Location, ist das Geld aber überhaupt nicht wert. Sehr schlechtes Preisleistungsverhältnis.

Das Essen war gut, die Portionen für den Preis teilweise etwas klein. Das Hauptgericht war spärlich angerichtet und man musste die Beilage zum Hauptgericht zusätzlich kaufen. Bei unserem Besuch war der Service freundlich, aber unaufmerksam und langsam. Wir haben eine halbe Stunde auf eine Reaktion gewartet, ehe wir die Nachspeisen bestellen konnten. Auf das Bezahlen mussten wir nochmal länger warten, obwohl der Laden nur einige besetzte Tische hatte. Auf den Hinweis, dass wir schon länger winken, wurde von einigen Mitarbeitern schroff und unhöflich reagiert. Beim Bezahlen wurde uns dann aber als Entschädigung eine Runde Ouzo erlassen und sich für die Wartezeit entschuldigt. Die Erfahrung war alles in allem leider nicht so positiv und für eine Neueröffnung nicht würdig.
