The ambiance is pleasantly "different." The creativity is immediately apparent upon entering. The menu is clear, unique, seasonal, and whets the appetite. The food has a touch of honest home cooking, always attractively presented on earthenware and always delicious 😋. A definite recommendation!

Kurt – Genuss & Keramik is a real insider tip! I ate chicken with rice in a tagine there – wonderfully aromatic, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The fresh herb salad was light, crisp, and a great addition. And the homemade bread and dips were incredibly delicious... The ambiance is something very special: a colorful mix of art, colors, and loving details. It feels creative and vibrant, yet at the same time absolutely harmonious – a place with character. The combination of restaurant and artist's studio makes the visit a little experience. A real highlight is the inner courtyard – quiet, green, and full of charm. A little oasis in the middle of the city. Conclusion: An extraordinary location with great food, lots of heart, and plenty of personality. We'll definitely be back!

I was there with my seven-year-old daughter to paint ceramics. 😊 We had a lot of fun, and the coffee, porridge, and boiled egg tasted delicious.... 😃😃

The Kurt in Schwenningen is truly exceptional, and only in a positive sense! It's a café/restaurant lovingly decorated by Sonja and her team, with delicious food (a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options) and drinks (served on hand-made pottery) in a wonderful atmosphere. From the very first moment, you feel welcome and will want to try everything on the menu. A clear 5-star recommendation!

We came here to paint ceramics. It was a really great atmosphere! After a brief explanation, we were able to get started right away. We had a lot of fun! The service was attentive and entertaining. Next time, we'll try the food, too. 😊

Even though it took a little longer for us to get our breakfast (about 30 minutes), the wait was worth it. Everything was freshly prepared and a feast for the eyes – and later, for the stomach as well. The breakfast for two is very plentiful and varied. Both the garden and the rooms invite you to linger. Excellent service complements everything.

We visited this gem for breakfast today. The cozy atmosphere was even better than the breakfast itself. A large selection of cold cuts and cheeses, plus a superbly varied bread basket, were complemented by two delicious spreads. Everything was served on homemade dishes that were truly beautiful. The highlight was the boiled egg... see picture 😉

We went there for breakfast and to paint ceramics. The food was good. However, we had to wait a long time before we could start painting. Unfortunately, the ceramics didn't turn out so well, as they had so many small burn marks that you couldn't even see the actual pattern anymore. It would have been nice to know about this beforehand, as we paid a lot for the pieces. I've painted ceramics several times now, but the result was never "burned."

Unfortunately, the menu isn't very informative. For many dishes, you have to ask what they're about. The staff can't always provide information. The semolina cordon bleu was a semolina slice with cheese... The hash brown that evening was just potato and beetroot cubes. It lacked spices, a sauce, etc. The oil wasn't enough for the portion. It was very dry. A great concept and location, but the food wasn't convincing.

A great café for breakfast. The classic breakfast is more than sufficient, varied, and simply fantastic. In the courtyard, there are lovely seats among the flora and fauna in spring and summer. This is the perfect place to start your day. Very friendly service and overall highly recommended!

Painting chillies: SUPER GREAT and fun concept. This was my second time there. You can paint something yourself or paint on clay which will then be fired. 🖼️🖌️ You can chat with people, enjoy good coffee and delicious food. ❤️☕

The pottery class was a lot of fun. First we are shown what to do. Then support is given in one go. Finally, you can do pottery all by yourself.

Es war wieder wunderbar und sehr lecker, besonders die Vorspeise, Kräuterseitlinge leicht angebraten mit Salat, ein Gedicht, und der Service ist natürlich super. Ich gehe morgen gleich nochmal.

Super leckeres und frisch zubereitetes Essen bei freundlichem und aufmerksamen Service in einer entspannten Umgebung. Was will man mehr !!! Die Tatsache, dass es auch innovative Gerichte abseits der in Restaurants mittlerweile weit verbreiteten “Pizza- Pasta Einheitsmanie” gibt rundet das Bild noch positiv ab. Eine krönende Abrundung sind die Pasta del nate, der Barraquito und der Café au lait (der Beste in ganz Frankreich).

Beautiful ambience and very tasty food. We were there today because we surprised our friend with a baby shower. We were able to comfortably paint our ceramic cups in the painting room and then eat in the restaurant.

We had our Christmas party at Kurt, it was a successful evening from start to finish. The food was outstanding and the ambience and service were truly fantastic. Everyone enjoyed it and we felt really comfortable.

We have eaten there several times. We are big fans of Kurt and have always been very happy with everything! The pottery course and the subsequent painting is also a great event and fun. Highly recommended and great variations.

We were welcomed very friendly and familiar and the employees had a lot of humor and were really nice. My sister had her dog with her and even though we didn't pay attention to the time and were there a little too long, we weren't just thrown out, we were even allowed to meet the employees' dogs and chat. :) The food and drinks were fantastic and there were vegan options too. The only point of criticism would be the price increase for the plant-based milk alternative, but otherwise we were completely satisfied and would really like to come back! <3

Unfortunately, it's not as tasty as it used to be❗ We were a group of nine women and the enthusiasm was actually limited. Statements were made like: "Nothing out of the ordinary, that's how I'll manage it." To give just one example, two of us ordered chicken breast in Riesling sauce, to our regret we BOTH didn't taste the Riesling sauce at all. Furthermore, the dishes didn't arrive hot, just warm. If the chef has changed, in my humble opinion it would be advisable to bring him back as quickly as possible. All the best

Das Frühstück Kurt wird frisch zubereitet und variiert immer etwas. In jedem Fall ist es sehr üppig mit jeweils diversen Sorten Wurst, Käse und Brot und sehr lecker. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Very nice atmosphere, friendly service and very good, somewhat “fancy” food, no run-of-the-mill dishes. Painting ceramics was very relaxing.

Although we didn’t know German, the lady boss was very welcoming and accomodating. She could speak both Chinese and English, and helped explain and recommend us some menu items. Ended up getting a sweet Dutch baby, plus a platter of a variety of cheeses, meats, and bread to try. Portion was big, couldn’t finish between 2 people. Left feeling very full and satisfied. It appears that the space is also for pottery painting that you could do while having a coffee/drinks, which seems to require reservation. Although, we went in just for the food. Definitely recommend this cafe and would come back again!

I went to breakfast with friends. It was very tasty, especially the bread and spreads. Additional requests were gladly fulfilled. Very friendly atmosphere and soooo great dishes. Gladly again.

From a warm welcome to a nice farewell. Everything can only be described as perfect. The combination of good food and an outstanding feel-good atmosphere is rare to find. The menu leaves nothing to be desired and we can also find lactose, caffeine-free oat milk, gluten vegetarians here. And if not, you can make anything possible. Since I also come from the catering industry, here's another well-intentioned “smart-ass” tip that shouldn't detract from the positive overall picture. Please also use larger cutlery for breakfast. It was great with you. Thanks .

Our practical trip with 20 people was a real highlight! The location is beautifully and artistically designed - you immediately feel comfortable and inspired. The quiet atmosphere was perfect for being creative. The selection of ceramic pieces was large, so that each of us found something suitable to paint, and there was definitely no shortage of fun. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly staff who patiently explained everything to us. The organization and reservation went absolutely smoothly and uncomplicated - everything was well prepared, even for our large group. The range of food and drinks rounded off the day perfectly. I can only warmly recommend a visit – an all-round successful trip!
