Kurt genuss&keramik in Villingen-Schwenningen

Das Frühstück fanden wir mega lecker, sehr schön angerichtet. Es war rappelvoll, aber der Service läuft super. Was man nicht schafft, wir einem eingepackt. Eine glatte 10 v. 10, weiter so.....

Wir hätten an sich sehr viel Spaß gehabt am malen und wären an sich auch zufrieden gewesen aber leider war der Gesamteindruck am Ende eher negativ. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 9 Personen und kamen zum Keramik bemalen. Leider war für uns die Auswahl nicht gemäß unseren Vorstellungen, da wir weder richtige Teller noch Schalen bemalen konnten. Was uns leider am meisten gestört hat, war das unfreundliche Personal. Für uns kam es so rüber als hätten sie keine Lust gehabt uns freundlich zu erklären, wie man beim bemalen vorgehen sollte. Außerdem waren von der Farbpalette, die uns dort zur Verfügung stand, nicht annähernd so viele Farben tatsächlich dort, was sehr enttäuschend war. Wir haben auch nachgefragt ob es noch weitere Farben gibt, vor allem auch rosa, woraufhin uns gesagt wurde, dass wir selber mischen sollten. Das wäre für uns an sich nicht schlimm gewesen, allerdings verändern sich ja durch das Brennen die Farben und somit wussten wir nicht welche Farbe am Ende rauskommt und jetzt hat sich am Ende enttäuschender Weise auch herausgestellt dass unsere selbstgemischten Farben viel zu hell waren. Für mich persönlich war aufgrund der genannten Gründe darum auch der Preis nicht ganz angemessen. Ziemlich schade eigentlich, weil es ansonsten sehr schön gewesen wäre.

Wir waren heute zum Muttertag um 11:45 Uhr in diesem Restaurant, da mein Mann mich zum Brunchen eingeladen hatte. Aufgrund der Frühstücksangebote auf der großen Tafel gingen wir davon aus, dass Frühstück weiterhin möglich sei. Zusätzlich wurde uns eine Mittagskarte mit Brot und Buttervariationen angeboten, weshalb die Situation für uns noch unverständlicher war. Als wir ein großes Frühstück bestellen wollten, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir etwa 15 Minuten zu spät seien und nur noch Mittagessen bestellt werden könne. Leider gab es auf der Mittagskarte nichts Passendes für unseren Sohn. Auf unseren Hinweis, dass dies bei der Reservierung nicht ersichtlich gewesen sei, wurde kaum eingegangen. Eine zweite Servicekraft erklärte uns später, dass es ab 11:30 Uhr ausschließlich Mittagessen gebe und dies angeblich auf der Homepage stehe. Wir konnten diese Information jedoch nicht finden. Besonders schade fanden wir, dass trotz vorhandener Brotangebote keinerlei kleine Ausnahme oder reduzierte Frühstücksoption möglich war. Insgesamt war der Besuch leider enttäuschend, vor allem weil es sich um ein Muttertagsgeschenk handelte und wir uns sehr auf diesen gemeinsamen Sonntag gefreut hatten.

Ein Ort, an dem man gerne frühstückt. Sehr gutes Essen, ordentliche Portionen und ganz wichtig sehr guter Kaffee. Der wird nur noch vom netten Personal übertroffen. Leider haben wir das Kaffee erst mal letzten Morgen "gefunden", hätte gerne öfters dort gefrühstückt. Einrichtung ist mit viel Liebe und Sorgfalt ausgewählt.

Wir waren auf dem Rückweg eines Wanderwochenendes und sind mehr oder weniger per Zufall hier gelandet. Was für eine Entdeckung!! So ein schöner Ort, super leckeres Essen und Kaffee und das Personal ist sehr freundlich! Wir haben uns den Ort markiert und kommen bei nächster Gelegenheit sehr gerne wieder. Eine absolute Empfehlung!

Mehr Sterne als hier habe ich noch nie vergeben. Und das nicht ohne Grund. Unglaublich leckeres Essen, ein freundlicher Service, wenn man über ein Mindestmass an Humor verfügt und die Räumlichkeiten sind auch sehr gemütlich. Eine der wenigen Lichtblicke in der Gastronomie der Gegenwart.

We were there on Easter Sunday and were absolutely thrilled from start to finish. Everything was prepared with such attention to detail, and we felt very welcome. The breakfast was truly plentiful, and we were delighted by the variety and quality of the products. We'd love to come back again soon.

A truly wonderful place to relax and unwind! We were here for breakfast: the portions are generous, the coffee is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. The fact that dogs are welcome makes it even more appealing. The atmosphere is almost like a big city, but the pottery elements give it a down-to-earth and welcoming feel. Even though we're not from the city itself, this certainly won't be our last visit. A real highlight in Schwenningen!

You immediately feel at ease; the old workshop has its own unique charm. We were here for breakfast on a Saturday, and afterwards we painted ceramics. It was a shame that there weren't enough colors to choose from. Nevertheless, we had a great time and are excited to see the results. The food was also delicious, and it's wonderful that everything is served on handcrafted dishes.

The pottery class was fantastic, and the instructor was incredibly friendly! My friend and I really enjoyed it. 😊 Unfortunately, the service in the attached café was very unpleasant: the staff member was condescending and irritated when we simply asked about the drink included in the class. This made both my friend and me feel so uncomfortable that we could barely enjoy our drinks at the end. This unfortunately marred what was otherwise a very positive experience.

Everything was simply wonderful. Beautifully presented, and the portions were very generous. Plus, you can buy the beautifully crafted ceramic items. Everything was made with so much love. We'll definitely be back.

The ceramic painting itself was fun, but the overall experience was unfortunately disappointing. Booking through the website was misleading, as we were able to book from 9 a.m. onwards, even though painting officially only starts at 11 a.m. On the plus side, we were still allowed to stay and paint. However, we were very negatively surprised by the prices. We asked about the costs beforehand and were directed to a shelf with price lists. We used these as a guide. When paying, it turned out that a slightly larger plate cost €45, and a slightly smaller one €35 – significantly different from the advertised prices. This was explained as being due to "old prices," but without any attempt at compensation. In the end, the service was also rather unfriendly. It's a shame, because with transparent pricing, it would have been a lovely experience. The ceramic painting area was located right by the entrance for breakfast guests. This was simply not ideal (too cold/drafty).

It was a super delicious breakfast. We ordered the breakfast for two. It was more than enough; we even had some bread left over. There were many different kinds of fresh bread, a fresh cold cuts and cheese platter, all beautifully presented. So it wasn't just a treat for the stomach, but also a feast for the eyes. The atmosphere was very homey; you walk in and immediately feel comfortable. It's best to reserve a table because breakfast is very popular, as it's only offered on Fridays and Saturdays. They also have a wide variety of other breakfast options; next time we'll try something different. We'll definitely be back!

Cafe Kurt is no longer just a hidden gem for insiders, but has become a firmly established institution in the Villingen-Schwenningen culinary scene. And rightly so. A fantastic location, an exceptionally friendly team, and outstanding cuisine. What more could you want for a lovely morning with friends or a cozy evening with family? And the owner is undoubtedly the heart and soul of the cafe, which has now become one of our favorites. But the biggest praise, of course, goes to the entire "Kurt team"! 😀😀😀

We had a reservation as a group (17 people). However, we were seated at separate tables and ate at different times. We wanted to order from the regular lunch menu, but were then not allowed to choose the daily special (no reason was given). My drink was only filled once; after that, I wasn't asked if I needed anything else. One person at our table was forgotten. The server said, "We didn't forget you, it'll just take a moment." When we asked again, we were told that the food had been forgotten or that the order hadn't been entered. So, one person ended up eating again at a different time. There was no attempt to compensate with a coffee or anything similar. The service was simply poor overall, not at all what I expect when I go to a restaurant. For the last 45 minutes, there was no server at our table at all. They didn't even clear away the empty plates, and we ultimately had to go to the counter to pay. The food was inconsistent. My dish was perfect, but the presentation was questionable. I'll definitely come back for breakfast or with a partner, as the dishes were clearly prepared with a lot of love and were truly special. If you like this ultra-relaxed/alternative atmosphere and perhaps want to come as a couple or small group, and also want to take some pictures or make some dishes, then this is definitely the place for you.

The pottery course with Milen was absolutely fantastic! Milen is incredibly friendly, and you can immediately tell that he's passionate about pottery. He explains everything clearly, answers every question, and creates a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. It was a wonderful experience and so much fun. We would definitely take another pottery course with Milen and highly recommend him!

I've always been very satisfied with the service and the food. The atmosphere is truly inviting. However, despite having a reservation, the painting room is apparently overbooked, leaving no chance to paint. I find it incomprehensible how they can plan for so many people simultaneously in such a small space. Since the staff member didn't offer us a suitable alternative, we left.

Nothing works without a reservation! I had a reservation and said I only wanted a cappuccino. The table was free right on time, the cappuccino was very good, and the service was just as excellent as if I'd brought a big bill.

Kurt – Genuss & Keramik is a real insider tip! I ate chicken with rice in a tagine there – wonderfully aromatic, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The fresh herb salad was light, crisp, and a great addition. And the homemade bread and dips were incredibly delicious... The ambiance is something very special: a colorful mix of art, colors, and loving details. It feels creative and vibrant, yet at the same time absolutely harmonious – a place with character. The combination of restaurant and artist's studio makes the visit a little experience. A real highlight is the inner courtyard – quiet, green, and full of charm. A little oasis in the middle of the city. Conclusion: An extraordinary location with great food, lots of heart, and plenty of personality. We'll definitely be back!

The Kurt in Schwenningen is truly exceptional, and only in a positive sense! It's a café/restaurant lovingly decorated by Sonja and her team, with delicious food (a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options) and drinks (served on hand-made pottery) in a wonderful atmosphere. From the very first moment, you feel welcome and will want to try everything on the menu. A clear 5-star recommendation!

Even though it took a little longer for us to get our breakfast (about 30 minutes), the wait was worth it. Everything was freshly prepared and a feast for the eyes – and later, for the stomach as well. The breakfast for two is very plentiful and varied. Both the garden and the rooms invite you to linger. Excellent service complements everything.

We visited this gem for breakfast today. The cozy atmosphere was even better than the breakfast itself. A large selection of cold cuts and cheeses, plus a superbly varied bread basket, were complemented by two delicious spreads. Everything was served on homemade dishes that were truly beautiful. We went there for breakfast and to paint ceramics. The food was good. However, we had to wait a long time before we could start painting. Unfortunately, the ceramics didn't turn out so well, as they had so many small burn marks that you couldn't even see the actual pattern anymore. It would have been nice to know about this beforehand, as we paid a lot for the pieces. I've painted ceramics several times now, but the result was never "burned."

A great café for breakfast. The classic breakfast is more than sufficient, varied, and simply fantastic. In the courtyard, there are lovely seats among the flora and fauna in spring and summer. This is the perfect place to start your day. Very friendly service and overall highly recommended!

Unfortunately, the menu isn't very informative. For many dishes, you have to ask what they're about. The staff can't always provide information. The semolina cordon bleu was a semolina slice with cheese... The hash brown that evening was just potato and beetroot cubes. It lacked spices, a sauce, etc. The oil wasn't enough for the portion. It was very dry. A great concept and location, but the food wasn't convincing.

Painting chillies: SUPER GREAT and fun concept. This was my second time there. You can paint something yourself or paint on clay which will then be fired. 🖼️🖌️ You can chat with people, enjoy good coffee and delicious food. ❤️☕

The pottery class was a lot of fun. First we are shown what to do. Then support is given in one go. Finally, you can do pottery all by yourself.
