Kurofune in Augsburg

Wie zu erwarten ist die Qualität der Lebensmittel ausgezeichnet. Die Speisekarte ist saisonal ausgerichtet und der Geschmack der Gerichte ist authentisch und sehr lecker. Das Service Team ist sehr freundlich und fröhlich. Ich war vor einigen Jahren hier zu Gast und kann sagen es schmeckt immer noch hervorragend wie eh und je. Sehr empfehlenswert für Freunde der echten japanischen Küche.

Was für ein fantastischer Besuch hier in der Schertlinstraße. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt und das Essen hat unsere Erwartungen absolut übertroffen. Die verschiedenen Sushi-Variationen waren nicht nur optisch ein Genuss, sondern auch geschmacklich hervorragend. Besonders das Unagi Don im blau gesprenkelten Keramikschälchen war ein echtes Highlight. Der Fisch war perfekt gegart und die Abstimmung der Aromen hat einfach gestimmt. Alles wirkte frisch zubereitet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail angerichtet. Wir kommen definitiv bald wieder.

Wir sind in diesem Restaurant vorbeigekommen an unserem ersten Abend in Augsburg und wollten dort essen. Man sagte uns, es sei alles reserviert. Daraufhin wollten wir gehen, aber ein nettes Paar meinte, sie würden in 10‘ gehen. Wir warteten: es wurde uns nichts zu trinken angeboten. Als wir uns an den freien Tisch gesetzt haben, kam nach einiger Zeit eine junge Frau, sie meinte, eigentlich hätten wir warten müssen, bis sie den Tisch abgeräumt hätte und neu aufgedeckt. Sie nahm das Geschirr weg und kam nicht mehr: Der Tisch wurde nicht geputzt, es wurde nciht aufgedeckt. Alle neuen Gäste, die reserviert hatten, wurden umgehend bedient. Als ich fragte, ob sie uns die Karte geben könne, meinte sie, wir hätten ja nicht reserviert und hätten nicht neben dem Tisch gewartet, bis sie aufgedeckt hätte…. Was soll das? Ist das kundenfreundlich? Man wird hier anscheinend nur bedient, wenn man reserviert hat! Ein sehr schlimmes, deprimierendes Erlebnis. Demütigend!!! In der Schweiz kriegt man immer was zu trinken, wenn man auf einen Tisch wartet … absolut unfreundlich, Unmögliches Verhalten 🥹🥲🥲🥲

Traditionelles japanisches Essen, sehr authentisch

Wir waren zu acht abends dort und hatten echt einen richtig schönen Abend. Das Essen war super lecker, alles frisch und schön angerichtet – da gibt’s nichts zu meckern. Der Service war auch klasse: Die Kellner waren total freundlich, aufmerksam und haben sich gut um uns gekümmert, obwohl wir eine größere Gruppe waren, für das kleine Lokal. Das einzige, was man vielleicht noch verbessern könnte, ist das Ambiente – das könnte ein bisschen gemütlicher und stimmiger sein. Aber insgesamt war’s richtig gut und wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Das beste japanische Essen weit und breit, gerade gute Onigiri bekommt man sonst nirgendwo. Immer freundlicher Service und hohe Qualität. Ich komme immer wieder gerne her. Manchmal muss man etwas länger auf das Essen warten, aber das ist es absolut wert.

Das Essen war gut, aber meiner Meinung nach nicht überragend. Die vegetarische Auswahl ist recht begrenzt. Das Pilz-Onigiri war lecker, in der Udon-Suppe fehlte es an frischem Gemüse. Das Personal ist freundlich, aber man sollte genügend Zeit einplanen.

Bislang ist dies das authentischste japanische Essen, das ich in Augsburg und München gegessen habe. Köstliches Nilgiri, alles schmeckte perfekt. Ich habe zwar noch kein Sushi probiert, kann Kurofune aber wärmstens empfehlen, da es authentische japanische Küche nach Augsburg bringt.

Achtung! Mittags nur Abholung, sind umsonst her gefahren. Vielen Dank für nichts.

Das Essen schmeckt sehrrrr lecker und authentisch. Die Onigiris schmecken wie in Japan. Das Personal ist auch sehr lieb und herzlich. Ich kann das Restaurant definitiv empfehlen!!

It was my first time eating Japanese food, and I was absolutely thrilled with Kurofune. I tried several dishes, and everything was incredibly delicious. I left feeling very full, and it was also reasonably priced. The service was very friendly and efficient! Definitely go! It's advisable to make a reservation beforehand—it was quite busy.

I ate here for the first time yesterday (October 21, 2025). I have to honestly admit, it was incredibly delicious. The waiters were very friendly, and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. It was a wonderful evening. Thanks Sebastian for the recommendation and for accompanying me.

I would definitely recommend the delicious sushi and the extremely good gyoza. Parking in the courtyard is possible, but it's a bit of a hit and miss.

After a total of eight weeks in Japan, I can say: Kurofune offers authentic Japanese cuisine of the highest quality. I've been there several times, and the food has been excellent each time. I particularly like the warm Japanese hospitality. The entire staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine or wants to truly experience it.

Great Japanese cuisine that is mega authentic and inexpensive. This is mainly sushi and comfort food in the form of udon curry, various traditional starters, onigiri and more. If you want to have a traditional lunch at lunchtime - Bento box. Very full, varying content (depending on what was delivered), prepared with a lot of love. Also to note: Very good selection of drinks that can also be found in Japan. Good teas and soft drinks, both cheaper standard and slightly more unusual offerings. The prices are very pleasant and even cheap for the performance, which makes it even more pleasant. Arrigatou Gozaimasu!

We had the appetizer platter, which I highly recommend, a perfectly prepared bento box, and a sashimi platter with sushi that was simply outstanding. Everything was fresh, artfully presented, and tasted of the highest quality. The Japanese beer deserves special mention – a delight that perfectly complemented the meal. But not only was the food exceptional, the service was also simply first-class. A young lady looked after us with great kindness and attention: Our children's drinks were brought to the right temperature, our dog was immediately given water, and we were treated warmly throughout. Despite arriving late just before closing time on a Sunday lunchtime, we were still able to get a table – something you can't take for granted. We spent a wonderful afternoon here with friends. This restaurant is a true gem in Augsburg – highly recommended! Five stars! 🌟

We've been eating here for years, and the service (untrained and unmotivated teenagers) has always been a problem. What we experienced today, however, defies description: 40 minutes for drinks (and then they were brought incorrectly), and two hours for the food. Then we left the table hungry because the kitchen was over. This despite us being assured that if we didn't have enough, we could order more. The appetizer was okay, the soups were cold, the salad was larger but no better, and there was too little tuna, and it was pickled instead of fresh, compared to before. The Sake Don salmon was already dried out, and there was less than at the next table. It's a shame that while prices are rising, the quality, and especially the service, has declined significantly.

After around 600 visits I can still say - my favorite restaurant far and wide. There is probably hardly any other Japanese restaurant in this country with such authentic cuisine. Such high quality - and above all delivered continuously. You can only say to Arigatō that you are allowed to be a guest here.🌞

You get full too quickly to try out all the delicacies😅 Our waiter was extremely accommodating. The only thing that can be criticized is that the temperature is not really pleasant in winter. It immediately feels cold as soon as someone comes in the door.

I've already visited a few Suhsi restaurants in Augsburg, Munich and the surrounding area, but at Kurofune I ate both the best sushi and the best udon soup of my life. The miso soup is also really great. You can tell that the head chef is Japanese. The sushi is served the way I like it, without being covered in mayo sauces, as is unfortunately the order of the day in many sushi restaurants. If you want to eat authentic sushi, this is the place for you. Have been to Kurofune a few times and have never been disappointed. Price-performance ratio is great, there's nothing to complain about either.

It was dinner for two, but many items I asked for were not available. The wine we ordered was good, but the starters were very small portions and the sushi was huge (but full of rice and no filling). The service was very good but honestly the sushi is not worth it. The desserts were also bland.

I had ordered the Bento Fuji, but the actual main ingredient was no longer available. However, the team quickly and easily offered an alternative that was also very tasty. The taste of the food was really excellent and the portion was absolutely fair for the price. Unfortunately, the bento was only available to take away, which I found a bit of a shame since I came from further away. It would be nice if this could be communicated somehow. But if I'm ever in the area again, I'd be happy to stop by again!

It's rare that I give a restaurant full points, but Kurofone is no different. The food is excellent and authentic, the value for money couldn't be better and the staff is often courteous and friendly. My regular restaurant and way to go when friends ask me for restaurant recommendations. I can particularly recommend the onigiri, the kaarage and the bento boxes. My partner swears by the udon soup. Our must-have and insider tip, however, is the homemade vanilla ice cream; I haven't had anything better even in Italy.

Best sushi so far. Both the tea and the sushi were great! You would definitely pay twice as much for the quality in Munich. We had to wait a bit because a lot had been ordered and there was a lot going on in the restaurant. But it was definitely worth it. Perfectly cooked rice, great, fresh filling. Wow!

The waiting time was extremely long: 55 minutes for 1 small portion of sushi is definitely too long. Actually I was just a little hungry, but by the time the food came I was hungry again and didn't want to wait another hour for another order. In addition, the sushi falls apart a little more when you eat it... but tastes delicious. And the ambience is nice. I'm just wondering how long you have to wait when the store is really busy? In our case only half the shop was occupied by guests…

Not recommended! Too long a wait, bad service. Never again! There are things in the food that are not on the menu.

Way too long waiting time. Gyoza way too oily, almost burnt and almost no filling. For dishes with seaweed and the like, you have to check the allergen list, and if you don't want it, you still have to pay the full price even though you hardly ate any of it. Wouldn't eat there again. When we said we didn't like it, the kitchen laughed at us. Even one star is still too many...

The tempura is very authentic! ! Be sure to book in advance, there are also bentos 🍱 Fuji Bento and salads and side dishes are perfect, matcha cake, matcha ice cream with Azuki red beans 🫘😝 The weekly blackboard newspaper will introduce some private dishes 😍

Die Bentoboxen sind einfach lecker!! Täglich wechselndes Angebot mittags (2go) und abends: vorweg eine Misosuppe, anschließend die Box mit japanischen Vorspeisen, Salat, Reis und einer Auswahl mit Fleisch, Fisch oder vegi. Dazu unbedingt das Calpis Getränk probieren. Edit 11/23: Beim Bestellen 2go ist mit einer längeren Wartezeit zu rechnen. Reservierung wird empfohlen, da oft ausreserviert.

Hiro and his family/team is doing an amazing job in cooking the most authentic and delicious Japanese food you can find in Augsburg. Absolutely recommend the gyoza and karaage for appetizers, and the unagi-don (chef’s choice). And the miso soup is to die for :) Picking up a bento or having dinner every once in while helps us travel back to our time we lived in Japan! The prices are very fair for the quality of food that’s being served. As for the service, everyone is always very nice and welcoming! Make sure to make reservations well in advance. The few tables they have usually fill up pretty quickly. We’ve seen many people spontaneously trying their luck for a table being turned around.

Es ist für uns zu einem beliebten Ort geworden, an dem wir die authentische japanische Küche genießen können. Wenn es jedoch einen Wunsch gibt, den wir äußern könnten, dann wäre es die Verfügbarkeit beliebter Gerichte, wie Takoyaki und Okonomiyaki. Es wäre großartig, sie auf der Speisekarte des Kurofune zu finden. Wir sind sicher, dass sie den ohnehin schon großartigen Genuss bereichern würden. Alles in allem kann ich das Kurofune nur wärmstens empfehlen! Die leckeren Gerichte, das freundliche Personal und die traditionelle Atmosphäre machen es zu einem Ort, den man unbedingt besuchen sollte. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch!

Tolles Japanisches Restaurant mit super Essen und sehr gutem Service. Hier gibt es viele Verschiedene Gerichte, sodass jeder auf seinen Geschmack kommt. Besonders gerne esse ich hier die Kurofune-Udon oder die verschiedenen Bento-Boxen aber auch das Sushi ist jedes Mal köstlich!

Ein absolut empfehlenswertes, authentisches japanische Restaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen und freundlichen Inhabern. Man sollte vorher reservieren, das Lokal ist relativ klein und oft sehr gut besucht :)

Positiv: essen geschmacklich sehr gut. Personal bemüht. Negativ: die Vorspeisen wurden zeitversetzt serviert. Die Portionen sollten etwas größer sein. Sollte zumindest optional angeboten werden. So bleibt man nach Vor- und Hauptspeise immer noch etwas hungrig.

Über meinen Besuch gestern Abend kann ich nur das Beste sagen! Vielen Dank an das tolle Team, sejr freundlicher und reibungsloser Serviceablauf, danke für fabelhaftes Essen in gemütlichem Ambiente. Meine Kollegin und ich kommen bald wieder. Außer misosuppe und onigiri hatten wir noch die kleine sushiplatte, inside-out roll mit umeboshi und gurke und die fisch bentobox.

Man wird mit den Worten "Haben Sie reserviert?" begrüsst, eine Erfahrung, die wir sowohl beim spontanen Besuch (der nicht erfolgreich war) und dem erfolgreichen Besuch am nächsten Tag machten und auch beobachten konnten. Aufgrund der guten Wertungen hier hatten wir aber tatsächlich mehr erwartet. Die Atmosphäre eher durchschnittlich, der Service ok, aber die Wartezeiten für Sushi extrem lang. Zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptspeise lagen mindestens 20 Minuten. Die Hauptspeise (Inside-Out) war sehr schlecht gerollt, der Reis nicht gut gegart, so dass die Rollen leicht auseinander fielen. Im nachhinein haben wir es uns so erklärt, dass wohl der Reis ausgegangen sein musste, schnell gekocht, aber die Ruhezeiten nicht eingehalten - das kann ich besser :(. Auch waren die Füllungen eher gering, dafür mehr Reis - alles in allem, sind wir am nächsten Abend wieder in das italienische Restaurant nebenan. Das kann man ohne Einschränkung empfehlen. Schade, aber beim nächsten Besuch in Augsburg kein Sushi hier.

Sushi, Suppe und auch alles andere ausgezeichnet. Modernes, dennoch gemütliches Ambiente und freundliche Bedienung. Der Spielbereich für Kinder bietet genau die richtige Menge Abwechslung ohne zu überfordern.
