I can just say that everything was great; Despite the busyness, everyone was very friendly, everything went like clockwork; Conclusion: great ambience, great food, great staff, great atmosphere

The Kultur-Schranne is a very nice restaurant in the middle of Dachau's old town. (The house itself has a long and interesting history!) The staff is always very friendly and quick. ;) The food is also very good. The selection of food is good, but could be more. Overall I give it 5 out of 5 stars!

Great store but always very busy

Average food (convenience food) and drinks with the same service at completely exorbitant prices? Here you get exactly that. Two reasons alone speak for a visit: few alternatives and the Schanigarten on the market square.

A nice restaurant with actually good food, but sometimes too expensive. Charging €2.19 for a piece of butter (10g?) is very brave. Eggs in a glass can only be ordered in addition to the board, too! After a long back and forth, I was served 2 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and placed in the glass. Eggs in a glass are something completely different. If you don't want a breakfast creation, but just something small, it's difficult. I've been there several times and find the staff very friendly and kind but also very slow and not really competent. Hopefully that will change after the renovation.

I think the Kulturschranne is actually a wonderful place. Very bright and friendly furnishings, very tasty food, nice location, pleasant atmosphere. However, during my visit yesterday I was dissatisfied with the service and the atmosphere. You can only order food until 8 p.m. I overlooked that, but of course it's okay. At 8:30 p.m. the waitress came and said it was now the last chance to order coffee. Actually okay too. She brought us the soup but no napkins. She forgot my request to bring napkins, so I had to remind her again. I ordered a tea that came with no sugar and no place to put the tea grounds anywhere. In detail it wasn't a problem, but overall it was very poor service. From 9:15 p.m. onwards, the staff became extremely “uncomfortable”. Everything was cleaned up, taken away, scurried around, mopped, chairs moved. I can understand the staff wanting to go home when the place closes at 10pm. But I wouldn't go later than 8 p.m. because from then on you prepare for the closing and let the guest feel that too.

A magical place in the old town of Dachau at Schranneplatz. Stop by here for a burger. This dish is prepared here by “artisans”. The atmosphere of this place stops time for a moment.

I was shocked at the prices, cappuccino 5.30 and +80 cents for oat milk, I've never experienced that before! There is no service outside even at this price, self-service! And you just sit on old wooden benches! The prices on the website are no longer correct! That's a bit arrogant!

The food is absolutely underground 🙈😊 Service staff are busy with the booking system. I waited 40 minutes for a sandwich in a mediocre restaurant... but the location is very nice 👍

It's lovely to sit here both inside and outside. The service was friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately I had to wait 45 minutes for my Schrannen sandwich. Definitely too long for me, especially during the lunch break. The pumpkin seeds, which were advertised as a highlight on the menu, were also missing from the sandwich. Otherwise the sandwich tasted okay.

Simply very, very tasty! Churros are something special… and cappuccino too 👍🏻 I can only recommend them.

Estuvimos allí buscando un lugar para cenar algo con dos niños. La camarera (super agradable) nos dio la opción de cenar algo aunque cerraban la cocina en 10 minutos. Muy buen ambiente, buen producto y muy agradables en el trato.

We were there looking for a place to have something to eat with two children. The waitress (super nice) gave us the option of having something to eat even though the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. Very good atmosphere, good product and very pleasant to deal with.

Unfortunately, price-performance is no longer in line. We had a feel-good bowl for just under €15, which ultimately turned out to be a raw food bowl. Yes, you get what's on the menu, but it's disproportionate to the price. Unfortunately, service was only mediocre, two cards were thrown on the table as a greeting, followed by a short “Hello”, but that was it.

Mitten in der Dachauer Altstadt ist in einem historischen Gebäude die Kulturschranne. Egal ob Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen, Kaffee und Kuchen, Brotzeit oder einfach auf ein paar Drinks es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Es werden regionale, moderne und gesunde (vegan/vegetarisch) Speisen angeboten (Burger, Sandwiches, verschiedene Salate uvm. ) Wir kommen gerne hierher und genießen bei schönem Wetter auf der Terrasse ein paar Kleinigkeiten. Das Personal ist immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. 👍👍

We arrived at the establishment at 2 pm on Tuesday. We waited an hour for our drinks to be served. The food is good, but the waiting time is terrible. The prices are quite high.

After 15 minutes the service came even though the restaurant had very few visitors. Very unfriendly (not even a greeting) and inattentive. Maybe some people shouldn't take on the job of a service person...

Visit: Friday 26/7/9 a.m. Unlike other restaurants, we didn't have to make a reservation. 95% was empty. That says it all. Small breakfast offering, but expensive. Ordered 3 different coffees, all lukewarm and inedible, even though Dinzler coffee. This is appropriate, not addressed. Asked for boss, i.e. was not there. Cheese plate for almost 17€... the price is not justified. In a small A cake was squeezed into the glass and looked totally soggy and unappetizing…. Scrambled eggs were lukewarm and bland. The white sausage pretzel was full of wet, softened grains of salt... The “soft” egg was lukewarm and hard. The young girl who served wasn't on her toes at all... All in all, not recommended. The birthday invitation for my parents was a complete failure.

Finally a café that offers real coffee - filter coffee! Not just the loveless vending machine nonsense called Cafe Crema...

Ambience is nice! Perfect location! Unfortunately, the food is far too overpriced and far too little. Saturation was far away. I ordered breakfast with a bread basket. The bread basket consisted of a small slice of bread. I then immediately said: please have a second basket so that I had at least 2 slices of bread (small ones). My friend had vegetable sticks for breakfast. (4 small (mini mini) carrot sticks…) Guys! It doesn't cost anything! Please fill your plates. The price is therefore not justified. Unfortunately, despite the nice atmosphere, I won't be coming back.

We went to the Kulturschranne for breakfast. Great and exceptional selection of vegan dishes too! Nice industrial style atmosphere! Attentive service! We liked it very much!

We were there for an evening event. The rooms are very attractive. Unfortunately the food is just average, the fries are tasteless and soggy. The burger consists of toasted bread that is rock hard.

We were there on Tuesday around 11 a.m. with two strollers. Despite the restaurant being about 20% full, we were not allowed to sit down with two strollers because the staff said that the strollers would be in the way everywhere. It's a shame because the food is good. But we won't be coming back because apparently moms with babies aren't welcome.

Modern cozy atmosphere, great quality of food, very nicely decorated. Very nice and friendly service. Great (beer) garden in front of the house.

Food (salad playground) was extremely tasty. A generous portion with a decent amount of meat (breaded chicken pieces) for just under 15 euros is probably a normal price these days. The price for Spezi is absolutely outrageous: 0.33l for 4.20 euros. You will also receive a mini glass so that it is not so noticeable that the price is too high for so little drink. With the exception of one waitress, everyone else didn't really feel like working. No smile, no engagement, like being served by a robot. And that would certainly have been faster. The seats (benches) on the terrace are so uncomfortable that after eating you immediately pay and leave. But that's probably intentional. But because of the delicious food, we will probably come back again.

Ordered food and after 45 minutes of waiting, when asked, I found out that the kitchen was already closed…

Waited almost 1.5 hours for the food - at least that's never happened to me in Germany and it shouldn't happen either. “It was busy” shouldn’t be an excuse either, as the restaurant knew about the high number of reservations and you can prepare for it. The staff weren't helpful at all when we said we wanted to be moved because our table was in the sun without sun protection (it wasn't announced in the reservation that the table was outside!). There were enough tables for this that no one was sitting at yet. I've never seen almost €6 for a latte macchiato in Munich. The prices are too high and not appropriate, especially considering what you get for it. There are 2 stars for the relatively tasty bowl.

Good food, delicious bowl & cappuccino - but too expensive and the service is clearly too slow! The bowl could be a little larger and more attention to vegan options (just vegan dip instead of yoghurt) €4.50 for a cappuccino with plant-based milk is clearly too much!! Please regulate the prices fairly - this far exceeds Munich prices! I'm here several times a week and unfortunately I have to say that it takes far too long - you're just waiting and the waitresses' attention is limited. Breaks are completely ok, but please not if you wait 20 minutes for the bill.

Strange, inhospitable! At 4 p.m., when there is little activity, all free tables are reserved. I left without having accomplished anything.

I ordered a pancake bowl, the fruit tasted like onions (probably cut on the same board/with the same knife) and instead of coconut chia yogurt they just served cream. Chocolate drops were also missing. I mentioned it and was told I would get a discount, but in the end there wasn't. Unfortunately it was a disappointment overall.

Eigentlich guter Laden, aber die Servicekräfte wechseln ständig und die Mädels die da arbeiten sind ziemlich durch den Wind. Das Essen wird geschmackvoll zubereitet, das Ambiente ist auch ganz nett. Die Preise sind eindeutig zu hoch für einen Laden in Dachau indem Bedienungen arbeiten die gerade mal gelernt haben das Wort Gastronomie richtig zu schreiben. Trotzdem alles andere als eine schlechte Adresse

Great location, very cozy and right in the heart of Dachau. All food and drinks are good to very good, BUT: Unfortunately the service is below average. 3/4 of the waitresses are slow, inattentive and not particularly friendly. It's a shame, because that's unnecessary.

Very expensive but great employees

Man sollte sich vorher über die Speisekarte im Klaren sein. Wer hier bayrische Essen erwartet wird sehr enttäuscht sein. Service schnell und freundlich, sehr junges Personal. Ambiente hat uns persönlich gefallen. Die Preise sind unserer Meinung nach sehr gut. Wir hatten die Burger und Sie waren anders zubereitet und haben uns gut geschmeckt. Wir können das Huas empfehlen.

I was here for breakfast. The food is fantastic, the service is fast and the value for money is right. The location is also very appealing, what more could I want?

I have been to the Kulturschranne several times and have always been very satisfied. Great ambience and also a great balanced menu, with plenty for vegetarians and vegans too. Unfortunately the service has been really bad lately. If you want a piece of bread with your salad, then there's obviously none left in the evening. It's funny that the customer can see two full baskets of pretzels. When asked, they only say that they are for the kitchen. I have never experienced anything like it. Btw. Two hours later, salads with breadsticks were brought out of the kitchen. The service was neither particularly friendly nor did they take the empty dishes with them even though they were already finished. Asking if we needed anything else was probably all she wanted. Unfortunately the service was really disappointing. But the food was still good, as always.

The food was very good and vegans and vegetarians or people who pay attention to their diet for various reasons will also find what they are looking for. Unfortunately we weren't so lucky with the service. This seemed very unmotivated and often took a long time to arrive. Only reacted when spoken to directly and gave you the feeling of being a nuisance. A burger was ordered, but it actually came with no side dish. Do I have to order these additionally? We would have been happy to hear about this, as unfortunately it wasn't filling. Nevertheless, the dishes and drinks - especially the "Hot Sweeper" - were a dream. A restaurant with a lot of potential!

Despite the nice atmosphere, I unfortunately had very unfriendly and indifferent service. There was also a really tasteless pasta with a bad sauce. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it

After visiting the gallery at around 5 p.m., I thought about having a drink or perhaps a light soup in the culture room, which is directly accessible from the gallery. The 2 waitresses at the counter confirmed to me that they were offering 2 soups and I told them that I would then sit at a table. After the two continued to talk and ignored me for 10 minutes, I left. Don't know the reasons now But I suspect the planned order was not lucrative enough. In any case, I was annoyed by the behavior.

Overall it was okay here. Service was a little slow but friendly. Food is rather higher priced. Lots of vegan food on the menu. Room very noisy.

Very good food, great dessert and cake. The Hugo could have used more mint. The restaurant is very nice, modern, with a Scandinavian flair. We felt very comfortable.

Friendly and attentive service. We only ate cake, but it was absolutely delicious. Overall, the Kulturschranne is absolutely recommended. We'd love to come back.

Were there for breakfast. The former schoolhouse was converted into a restaurant. Beautiful, cozy, inviting. A place to stay. Had breakfast for two. It was rich and beautifully presented. Personally, I was missing another type of sausage. This would have meant doing without one or two special pancake-salmon-horseradish “burgers”. But OK. It was all very tasty. Staff and price were OK. The owner was very attentive.

We were there for the crime dinner. 89 euros. The food was a disgrace. There was a three course menu (very clear). 2 people do not eat potato soup with truffle oil. But they got nothing else in return. This was followed by a roast beef with a hint of mashed potatoes and indefinable vegetables. Mind you, a small slice. The panna cotta was found under a pile of unpeeled apples with cinnamon. Afterwards the whole table was hungry. Bravo for this achievement!

Very nice ambience, a place to linger, chat, just for a coffee or for an extended dinner, there are high-quality food and drinks, coffee and cake and everything to "feast on". The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable. It usually makes sense to reserve online in advance.

Sehr schön dort. Angenehmes Lokal. Frühstück, Rührei mit Bacon, zwei kleine Semmeln plus 1x Marmelade und Butter und ein großer Milchkaffee 15.50. Geht in Ordnung. Die Semmeln dürften gerne ein wenig größer sein.

Haben in der Kulturschranne zu Abend gegessen. Nachdem wir zum Platz geführt wurden, mussten wir leider sehr lange auf die Bestellaufnahme warten. Das Essen war gut. Als wir die Rechnung erhalten haben, ist aufgefallen, dass zu viele Getränke abgebucht worden sind (ca. 15€). Man hätte dieses Problem einfach lösen können und die Positionen löschen, jedoch wurde erst hinter dem Tresen nach der schuldigen Person gesucht. Essen 4/5 - Service 1/5

Die Finissage mit Norbert Göttler und Martin Off bei der Mitgliederausstellung der KVD war wunderbar und sehr gut besucht.

Schöne Café-Atmosphäre nicht nur zum frühstücken! Es gibt MittagsAngebote und die Speisekarte kann sich sehen lassen. Es ist für jeden etwas dabei!!! Preis-Leistung war schon mal besser!

Tolles Ambiente in der Dachauer Altstadt. Die Speisen sind sehr lecker, vor allem das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Unbedingt am Wochenende reservieren.

Great restaurant for vegans!! The food was incredibly tasty. The service was quick and everyone was so nice. The only thing is I don’t get how some water + sweet potato burger meal was 30€. I feel like they miscalculated my meal price !!

Wunderschönes Restaurant mit gutem Essen und tolle Location. Vegane Optionen gibt es auch. Preise sind auch vollkommen in Ordnung für die Größe an Portionen. Die Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Nettes kleines Lokal. Gut geeignet um sich auf einen Treff oder ein Date zu verabreden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben nicht gegessen, treffen uns dort aber regelmäßig auf einen Kaffee oder abends auf ein Bierchen.

Wir waren neulich mal wieder in der Schranne hier in Dachau. Das Ambiente ist ganz nett, leider zieht es immer wieder kalt rein (im Winter nicht wirklich nett) ansonsten ist es dort ganz nett. Sommers auf der Terrasse sehr schön. Das Essen ist ok, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt noch.

In Kombination mit einer Kunstaustellung in der Gemäldegalerie oder dem Besuch auf dem Christkindlmarkt waren wir nun mehrmals in der Kulturschranne, sowohl draußen als auch im hübschen Gastraum. Das Essen, vor allem die Kuchen und Süßspeisen, sowie die Kaffeevariationen waren alle lecker und empfehlenswert. Nur einige Hauptspeisen kamen lauwarm an den Tisch, was z.B. dem Spezialburger nicht unbedingt guttut. Die Servicecrew präsentierte sich aber immer charmant; jede Bestellung verlief freundlich, flink und routiniert. Ebenfalls toll ist der Raum samt Klavier im 1. Stock, der für allerlei Kleinkunstveranstaltungen genutzt wird. Go for it! 🍷

Waren anlässlich einer Tanzveranstaltung dort. Hat uns nicht gefallen, da viel zu viel bestuhlt war und somit die Tanzfläche viel zu klein war. Dazu der Herr am Einlass sehr unfreundlich.

Gechillte, angenehme Atmosphäre

Wir waren gestern nach dem Weihnachtsmarkt in der Kulturschranne Dachau mit einer größeren Gruppe (6 Personen) zum Essen. Wir haben reserviert. Richtig gutes, seht schön angerichtet, Essen. Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Eine Kritik zum Schluss. Auf der Rechnung war ein Tipp. Ich gebe reichlich Trinkgeld wenn der Service gut war und möchte nicht dazu gezwungen werden.

Leckeres Essen, besondere Speisen aus saisonaler Karte, große Auswahl an Veggiegerichten, sehr abgestimmte Getränke, super mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen, nettes Personal und sogar für geschlossene Gesellschaften buchbar. Für alle was dabei, im Herzen von Dachau und daher eine klare Empfehlung! Wunsch meinerseits wäre statt Küche bis 20 Uhr eine längere Öffnungszeit der Küche.

War mit meinem kleinen Sohn und einer Freundin da. Alle super nett, aber wenn sich an der Theke das dreckige Geschirr sich stapelt und die ServiceKräfte sich lieber unterhalten (hinter der Theke) weiss ja nicht.

Bergsteiger-Bowl ohne geräucherten Lachs. Es schmeckt, aber so ganz satt bin ich nicht und für 15 Euro sollte das der Fall sein. Die Location ist nett, der Service auch. Küche hat nur bis 20 Uhr offen???

Total leckeres Frühstück. Wir hatten nicht reserviert und trotz Feiertag einen Tisch zu dritt bekommen. Danke nochmal dafür.

Really nice food with loads of vegetarian options. Amazingly enough for Germany the coffe is wonderfully hot (and tastes great). Staff are friendly and it's actually one of the few places in Dachau old town that is open on a Sat afternoon
