25 minutes from sitting down to ordering a drink. Waiters only came after calling 3 times and then only reluctantly. Even the delicious food no longer makes the roast fat. If you don't get noticed and don't feel welcomed, you won't go there anymore.

Very good, but somewhat expensive cuisine. The beer garden is nice, but on a noisy main road. Unfortunately, no or only selected credit cards are accepted. And a small bowl of ketchup costs €2.

Very long waiting time. Arrived at 7:00 p.m. and the food was finally on the table at 8:45 p.m. The food was tasty, but a few prices were a bit sporty: Currywurst fries were a whopping 14.90. Mayo or ketchup 2.00!! Euro. Staff was friendly.

We were with you for the first time today and had a place outside in the beer garden area. I found our place quite comfortable and nice, and the weather was great too. I also unfortunately have to say that we had an unpleasant situation with the waiter, we had to pay 61.20 and because we were really dissatisfied with the service, we didn't want to leave a tip for that price, my husband gave 70 euros and he The waiter thanked him and closed his wallet. My husband then asked for change, the waiter misunderstood it, since it was such an unpleasant situation, we said 65 euros. I'm sorry, but the waiter was unsympathetic, it's understandable if it's stressful and you sometimes have to wait longer, but then please be a little friendly.

Unfortunately we waited far too long for the order and the portions are unfortunately very, very small.

The Lindenwirtin, near the Duisburg Zoo. Delicious food and a nice beer garden. Cult, for umpteen years. People are happy to accept the location on the main road. Particularly suitable on a bike tour, as a stopover for refreshments.

A great restaurant with a beer garden, great food and nice staff

There were six of us and we had reserved. We weren't shown the table, but were only told it was 'at the back of the garden' when we asked. It took 25 minutes and two questions to get the drink. Since we had already chosen our meal in the meantime, we ordered it straight away. It came over an hour later. No one came to our table voluntarily, only upon explicit request. Apparently the waiters don't have any fixed tables to look after. The food was ok, when I said for the first time that I wanted to pay (I had to leave earlier than the others), there was a more questioning "yesss" from the waiter... That was it. Afterwards I waited half an hour, then called out to a waitress that I would like to pay, and then said “yes” again. After another 15 minutes the senior (?) came, put the total bill on the table, then took down the parasol, went to another table, cleared things up every now and then and left me sitting there stupidly. Actually I should have left, unfortunately my honesty forced me to pay. So if you like to wait for hours, you're in good hands there. Personally, I'm pissed off by so much mismanagement and the store will never see me again. A little tip: assign your staff fixed tables, based on the reservations you can see how full the store will be and possibly increase the number of staff. It's unacceptable that you have to wait 45 minutes for a drink, even if the store is full. Then another person has to go behind the counter. One for tapping, one for the other drinks. And tell the waiters that there is no shame in taking care of their tables. Asking whether everything is OK and whether additional drinks are needed should be standard practice if I want to make sales.

Waiter guited us to table and other waiter told us the specialites of their menu (and gave the menu), then left, came back and told us (big group) that they don’t accept card payment. Felt like they didn’t want to serve to tourists. Had to find somewhere else to eat. Place and menu looked nice.

Had dinner in the beer garden last night. We were lucky to get a table, it was busy given the weather. The food was very tasty and the portions were good. The service was also very nice. It was a nice evening.

Staff not very friendly and struggled to make energy for us. Food quite okay but not much, not sufficient in price/quality. A cozy terrace with potential. Possibly just hit the wrong day, but not the normal Biergarten feeling.

After today's visit we went home disappointed. We visit the Lindenwirtin regularly, but now with the introduction of the new “summer menu” we will, for better or worse, switch to other locations. A drastically reduced menu and no offer for vegetarian or even vegan guests is simply no longer up to date. In the end, “then just fried potatoes with fried eggs” became fried potatoes, and there were no eggs.

Tasty, friendly and competent, comfortable seating outside. However, the tram is disproportionately loud.

The beer garden is great. The food is okay so far. A point deduction for the price-performance ratio. The warm goat cheese for around 16 euros was a starter portion. And it wasn't visible on the additional map. Perhaps a note from the service staff would also be useful

I visited this inn on the recommendation of a friend. I wasn't disappointed. It's clean and cozy. I enjoyed the food very much. The quality is great. The prices are completely ok. The service was very nice and friendly. I can only recommend.

Great beer garden. The sauce for the schnitzel is handmade and incredibly delicious. The joy of offering guests a really appealing meal can be seen in the side salad. This is beautifully presented in terms of appearance and taste. We have an hour's travel time, but we're always happy to treat ourselves to it during the summer season because of the beer garden.

Were here for the first time today. Everything perfect! Food, service and prices. I can't understand the negative comments, they don't look real to me either. We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately I can confirm the other bad reviews. Completely exorbitant prices for the food and not good quality. Paid over 7 euros for a 0.7 mineral water, that's steep. The best thing is the staff who look after the tables.

After a bike ride we went to the Lindenwirtin to eat. We placed our order. I had a gypsy skewer and my husband had a pepper schnitzel. When the food came we were surprised. My gypsy skewer was luke warm and my husband's pepper schnitzel was cold. We told the waiter and he brought the schnitzel back to the kitchen and the fries were getting colder and colder. After about 8 minutes a new pepper schnitzel arrived which was cold again and in the meantime also the fries that went with it. That was a bombshell performance from the chef. We reported this back to the waiter and he was helpless. At the end of the song we paid €18.40 for the cold pepper schnitzel and the cold fries. There was no goodwill about the cold food. Arrogance is hard to beat, you shouldn't be so sure that all the guests will come back, we have often eaten there, but in the restaurant and not outside, we will never come back.

My experience in the legendary “Lindenwirtin”: We spontaneously stopped by this (our) restaurant after the zoo; as native Duisburg residents, we always like to visit it. We entered the beer garden around 1:30 p.m. It wasn't full, but there were plenty of people around the house. After about 20 minutes. Our service, the waiter, arrived, stressed but friendly. We ordered a shandy, a cola and two meals at the same time because we already knew what we were after today. We were hungry and full of anticipation. It took a while, we observed what was going on around us and in the meantime had time to read through the recessions here. I can only partly understand the reviews here, because things could get worse for us. After more than 30 minutes. We were asked again about our choice of drinks, which then took another 20 minutes. was already in front of us (52 minutes for 2 drinks??). We saw that some guests came, some guests left after a while without eating, other guests went into the restaurant to pay, and others sat with empty glasses for almost an hour. We always saw our waiter “shuffling” past us with a tray, motivation looks different. We were amused when the waiter shuffled along the gravel path with a full tray of drinks and asked every other time what he could put here. I took it very sportily because we had chosen a shady spot. We watched the other guests, the other waitresses and also saw how slightly disoriented our waiter was trying to do his job. After more than 90 minutes. after our choice of seating, that is, more than an hour after ordering, we asked about our food and ordered 2 more cokes, to which the waiter said that he had no influence on it, the kitchen decides the orders. At this point, the waiter had already slipped a tray of drinks while serving, and a full tray of dishes and salad ended up in the gravel. In the meantime we noticed that guests who had entered the restaurant long after us but were sitting in the area next to the building were already eating dessert and were also waiting for the waiter to pay. Things went a little quicker down there. After an hour and a quarter (yes, 1 and 3/4), by now we were sitting completely in the sun, we asked politely (I saw it as very sporty) whether we could expect the Coke before the meal or after. After 2 hours, my wife (now very hungry) and I got tired of it, so we tried to wave the waiter over, which he ignored at first, but then came. We communicated that we had come this far and that we were leaving now. First he briefly thought about what we had consumed (???) so that he could add up the total, whereupon we asked him whether we now also had to pay for the two drinks within two hours. When we asked for the boss, he mumbled something like: "...if he were here now... things would be different..." or something like that. He refused to pay with the words "Oh, no..." and gritted his teeth. Then, as so often, we went back to our favorite restaurant "Haus Duissern", also outside open-air, where we were able to have drinks in no time and, after a few minutes, eat really delicious food. Conclusion after more than 2 hours of beer garden Lindenwirtin: Unfortunately we can't say much about the taste today, we didn't have anything, only the cola was warm as piss, the beer without foam. The location is good, could be improved, the service in the lower part was committed and (in my opinion) well staffed, it was probably also due to the company that was there, in the upper part it was a disaster. Maintaining a reputation as an “original rock” as a restaurant in Duisburg is different, sry. For anyone who has a lot of time and a sense of humor, the Lindenwirtin is worth a trip, you just shouldn't expect anything and, above all, you shouldn't be hungry. It's a shame, but "thank you" for this experience ...and the one star...well

The Lindenwirtin has a very nice beer garden that is great to hang out in. You don't see much of Mülheimer Str. The staff is also very friendly. The food tastes delicious, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio for some dishes is not at all good. For example, we paid €15 for a salad with fried goat cheese from the daily menu, even though it only consisted of three lettuce leaves and two slices of goat cheese. 15€ suggests a main course, but that would have been at most a small starter and even at half the price I would have classified this dish as rather expensive. The other dishes were okay, hence 3 stars overall.

Food ok for German cuisine. Asparagus too watery, vegetable stir-fry too salty. Apart from that, do you serve an apple pancake as an apple cake with ice cream? The two of us had lunch at the Lindenwirtin. My wife ordered asparagus with schnitzel. Their food was tasty and the price was fair. I ordered a Lindenburger jalapenos/peppers for a whopping €21.40. The burger certainly came to the table 20 cm high. Of course, for €21.40 the guest must feel like they are getting something for their money. Unfortunately the burger consisted of a huge number of salad variations, certainly 1/3 of the amount. Then came an oxheart tomato about 3 cm thick and then a standard patty, about 150 g. The burger was covered with far too much burger sauce, which was unfortunately very sour and tasted similar to cocktail dressing. I'm still wondering who came up with the idea of ​​serving such a tall burger that you can barely eat with a knife and fork without it completely falling apart. I really can't recommend the burger. With such a high price, I'm assuming at least a homemade patty. It looked like frozen, but you could hardly tell because it was soaked in sauce. I let the burger go back 3/4 of the way. No longer had any appetite. Mayonnaise €2.00! Yes, of course the host doesn't get the ingredients for free, but then you should calculate more cleverly and you shouldn't give the customer the feeling that you're paying €2 for a blob of mayo. Of course, the burger had to be paid for in full. Service staff very hard working and friendly. It wasn't his fault. I explained why I didn't like it, but the owners preferred to stay at the counter. I visited the Duisburg zoo today with my 2 year old son. Since the restaurants inside the zoo were closed I came here for lunch. Orders a portion of chicken breast with fries and salat. The food was nice, but pricey as 22 Euro for it is a bit too much. But the disaster started when I tried to make the payment. The total bill was around 30 Euro and when I said I would make the payment with the card the waiter started giving excuses like a payment below 50 Euro usually fails. Who was he bluffing? You can make payment of .10 cent in Germany with an EC card. Since I was with a toddler I didn’t have the time to argue and I gave a 50 Euro and then he is like the 10% tip is not added and I need to pay that too. I have been in Germany for more than a year and would have gone to atleast 50 restaurants by now. This is the first time I am forced to make a tip. By now since he so demanded tip I was searching for 3 Euro in coins and I that chaos I think I lost a 50 Euro note which I couldn’t find. A request to the management - please do train your waiter staffs well (the guy who did it was not a German guy).

Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Personal war sehr nett und höflich. Kann es nur empfehlen.Und es ist sehr zentral und gut zu erreichen.

Passt sehr gut zum Ortsteil Duissern. Relativ preiswerte Gerichte, gute Hausmannskost zum fairen Preis. Im Sommer kann man toll draussen sitzen. Die Bedingungen sind freundlich, überschlagen sich aber auch nicht. Sehr empfehlenswert für ein kleines Gericht oder ein kühles Getränk nach dem Zoo Besuch. Manchmal etwas überlastet bei zu vielen Gästen.

Träumchen Das Haus, Das Essen, die Begeisterung des Kochs für seine zufriedenen Gäste :) Nicht zu vergessen, der freundliche ältere Herr, der uns liebevoll bediente. Die Gans, die Knödel, ... wunderbar.

Sicherlich sind die Preise explodiert, aber es rechtfertigt noch lange nicht,für einen Klecks Ketchup satte 1,50 Euro zu verlangen. Solch eine unverschämte Preiserhöhung für ein wenig Ketchup habe ich bisher in keinem Restaurant erlebt!

Das Roastbeef mit Bratkartoffeln als Tagesgericht hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Auch Schnitzel und Saucen waren super. Der Service ist trotz vollem Haus immer auf Zack und sehr freundlich!

Essen mega. 10/10. leider lässt der Service zu wünschen übrig. Eine mini Portion Ketchup kostet 1,50€. Ich hatte nach Brot zur Vorspeise gefragt, gab es leider nicht. Aber dann hat der Nachbar Tisch genau das bekommen ? Normales Brot zur Vorspeise. Tut mir echt leid, aber so asoziale Praktiken, wie 1,50€ für Ketchup zu berechnen sind genug, dass ich nicht mehr wieder komme. Enttäuschung.

Sehr gute Küche, alle Speisen wie Vorspeise, Hauptgericht und Nachtisch von der Speisekarte oder Spezialität des Tages waren sehr schmackhaft und lecker. Hervorzuheben ist auch der hervorragende Service. Wir haben mit acht Personen einen wunderschönen Abend in sehr schönem Ambiente erlebt. Werden auf jedem Fall wieder kommen. Auch dieses Jahr haben wir bereits mehrfach das Restaurant besucht und waren immer sehr, sehr zufrieden.

Tolle Location. Spezieller und guter Service.

Leider haben wir dieses tolle Restaurant erst jetzt entdeckt. Das Essen war wirklich klasse und qualitativ einwandfrei. Der Kellner war ebenfalls sehr nett und der Biergarten gemütlich. Lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder :)

Das Gasthaus liegt in direkter Nähe zu einer sehr stark befahrenen Straße. Wenn man draußen sitzt, ist es zuweilen unangenehm laut.

Ich war nach Jahren mal wieder in der Lindenwirtin. Vorher die Rezessionen gelesen und gedacht : naja, ob das was wird? Ja, es stimmt, das erste Getränk dauerte, nicht so toll wenn man Durst hat. Aber der junge Kellner war einfach bezaubernd, immer sehr nett und höflich und auch lustig. Er hat sich abgerackert alle zufrieden zu stellen. Auch hier fehlt Personal. Ich hatte Tomatenbrot , schön angerichtet und richtig wohlschmeckende, aromatische Tomaten. Die Königsberger Klopse meiner Freundin schmeckten auch sehr lecker. Essen ist also immer noch super und der Biergarten ist eh einzigartig in Duisburg.

Wir kommen aus SH immer mal wieder gerne in unsere alte Heimat nach Duisburg, so zuletzt im Juli 2023, wo wir draußen im Biergarten gesessen haben. Unser Eindruck beim letzten Mal in der Lindenwirtin war erschreckend. Der Service war wirklich sehr bemüht aber zeitlich völlig überfordert. Wir wurden zwar "vorgewarnt", aber schon alleine auf die Getränke musste man sehr, sehr lange warten. Habe mich dann mal im Lokal umgesehen und dort festgestellt, dass es gar nicht schneller gehen konnte. Die beiden doch schon sehr betagten Männer, die sich an der "Getränkeausgabe" bemühten, konnten einem schon leid tun, denn sie waren offensichtlich mit dem Andrang überfordert. Na ja, dass kann ja, wenn es denn ein Einzelfall an einem Tag war, alles mal passieren. Mein Essen war dann aber das negative I-Tüpfchelchen unseres Besuches. Das von mir bestellte Cordon-Blue vom Kalb war eine MINI-Portion, die selbst einer Senioren-Portion oder Kinder-Portion nicht gerecht wurde. Die dazu georderten Pommes Frites waren wohlwollend beurteilt als lauwarm zu bezeichnen. Das in der letzten Zeit in der Lindenwirtin aufgerufene erhöhte Preisniveau stand hierzu in krassem Gegensatz. Meine Beschwerde darüber wurde weggelächelt, "man wolle es der Küche sagen". Was ist nur aus diesem bürgernahen Lokal geworden, oh je. Altes Restaurant, habe ich schon als Kind besucht nach einem Zoobesuch mit Oma und Opa. Freundliches Personal, Super Essen, sehr lecker, zu empfehlen, gerne wieder.

Waren gestern nach sehr langer Zeit mal wieder da und waren total begeistert. Der Kellner super nett und das Essen war sehr lecker. Hatten einen Salat der sehr üppig und lecker war. Und einen Filetspiess mit Hollandaisesauce. Fleisch top und Sauce sehr gut gewürzt mit vielen Kräutern.Auch die Burger sahen super aus

Angenehme Atmosphäre und ein witziger, leicht zotiger Kellner. Essen war nicht zu üppig aber durchaus gut. Für mich und alle anderen war es voll in Ordnung und es war ein gelungener Abend. Daher nix zu meckern und eine klare Empfehlung. 👍🤗

Typischer Biergarten mit viel Flair... Nett draußen sitzen, mit Freunden ein Bierchen trinken und was Leckeres Essen. War ein schöner Abend❗👍

Sorry,hatte das falsche Lokal genommen. Ja, ich war gestern bei Ihnen und muss sagen, es war sehr schön bei Ihnen. Ich war von Ihren Bratkartoffeln begeistert. Der Kellner der uns trotz vollem Biergarten bedient hat, hatte sogar Zeit für ein paar Worte. Ich hoffe meine vorherige Rezension ist damit vergessen. Wir kommen wieder! Was sollen wir sagen,besser geht nicht.

Nettes Restaurant mit Geschichte, schönes Fachwerk Haus. Essen sehr lecker, Preise relativ hoch aber auch nicht viel teurer als in anderen Restaurants dieser Klasse.

Wir haben hier unsere Hochzeit gefeiert. Es war alles toll, eine freundliche, zuvorkommende und doch nicht aufdringliche Bedienung welche sich den ganzen Abend um uns gekümmert hat. Das Essen war sehr lecker und alle Gäste waren damit überaus zufrieden. Besonders zu empfehlen ist Schockokuchen, ein Besuch hier lohnt sich alleine schon deswegen. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und trotz dem, dass die Gaststätte sehr gut besucht ist hat man nicht das Gefühl in einem überfüllten Ort Gast zu sein. Selbst wenn man unbedingt meckern wollen würde, würde einem kaum was einfallen können. Immer wieder gerne, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder auch außerhalb von großen Ereignissen.

Ja. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Hier würde es mir jeden Tag gut schmecken. Die Speisekarte bietet alles was das Herz begehrt. Danke sehr für den tollen Nachmittag.

Haben Schnitzel gegessen, war sehr lecker. Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Wir waren zu 8 Personen am letzten Sonntag dort Essen. Ich hatte ein Schnitzel Holstein mit Kroketten . Das Schnitzel ist TK und für den Preis sehr klein gewesen. Außerdem triefte es vor Fett. Das Spiegelei darauf glibberte noch. Eine andere Person hatte einen Rukola Salatteller der 15,90 € gekostet hatte und es war fast nichts auf dem Teller. Eben so einige andere Gerichte. Dafür hatte meine Frau einen Wurstsalat der wirklich gut schmeckte und eine ordentliche Portion. Aber nochmal ein Schnitzel dort? Auf keinen Fall ! ! !

Lecker Essen wie bei Muttern , immer wieder gerne !!!!! 😋
