The entire staff was very friendly and committed. Map is small and clear. A prerequisite for good, fresh food. That's how it is. Ate super tasty. Fresh salad and not from a jar. My goulash was great. Service committed and very friendly. A clear recommendation from me. The tenants are doing everything right and I hope it stays that way. WE WILL COME BACK.

Food was good, but nothing special. There is only one room, without any separation, which makes it very loud and disturbing. Prices are just okay. In summer when you can sit outside it is definitely more recommended.

Today 07.09.24 we stopped at the hut after geo hiking, nice large beer garden, good service, we were served straight away, drinks were also brought directly to the table. The food (baguette schnitzel) was sufficient and tasted very good. Toilets were clean and the outside area was well maintained. However, the prices are quite high.

The food is prepared quickly and is delicious. The service is also good, even exceptionally good depending on the service person. The beer garden is a great place to spend some time and let the children play in the forest without any stress. Karlsberg Urpils is freshly tapped. The Kugelfanghütte is the perfect stopover on a bike tour in the area. A table reservation may be necessary.

In the middle of the forest, nice and cool on hot days. Very busy at lunchtime. Drinks and food were still served in a very short time - by extremely friendly staff!!! Antje did it so well, without any hassle and with a lot of charm.

We ended up in the bullet trap hut by chance the last few days and were pleasantly surprised. There is a beautiful, large beer garden and you can also see the inside of the hut. The welcome from the staff was very friendly and even though everything was reserved, we still got a place in the beer garden. There is a nice selection of dishes at normal prices. The food came quickly and was very fresh and tasty. We were completely satisfied and will visit the bullet trap hut often.

Soooo unbelievably great…… food, ambience, service….. we always feel welcome in the Kugelfanghütte at any time….. Simply beautiful, hospitality and service are very important here... the service staff are all friendly, attentive and warm... Price/performance fits 100%…… Anyone who complains here should take a look at their own noses. We've been there many times, at different times, always great! ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDATION…….

What happiness! we discovered this place ideally located in the middle of the forest during a bike ride, hearty meal, very friendly staff.

Am very disappointed! Had a salad plate with turkey meat, the leaf lettuce was totally mushy, "drunk"!!! Unfortunately I reacted too late and had to pay the full price!!!

Down-to-earth restaurant with home-style food. Nothing excitingly new, but tried and tested things implemented well.

Very nice inn on the edge of the forest with a terrace under huge umbrellas. The staff is very friendly and quick, the menu offerings are sufficient and variable. We ate with 7 adults and 2 children and we all enjoyed it very much. All in all recommended!!! Was there again on Father's Day with my wife and socially with friends the day before. Both times you have to book in advance, because there are hardly any tables left, especially on nice days. Once again we were completely satisfied. The service in particular deserves high praise.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food because it didn't happen due to the unfriendliness of the service staff. She “assigned” us a seat in a very snippy tone. If it didn't suit us, we could leave. There were still tables available, but unfortunately we didn't have a free choice of seats. We then left and will not enter the restaurant again

I would rate it 3.5 ☆ if it were possible. The furnishings are neat and modern, but the large dining room is unfortunately very noisy, which is annoying! When there are a lot of guests, you almost can't understand your own words at the table! Room dividers would be recommended. The service was very friendly, I would happily give it 5 ☆. The food itself came very quickly (almost too quickly). It was ok. My pasta dish was very powerful, my husband's salad with schnitzel was good so far, but the salad could have been more imaginative. The outdoor area with beautiful tables, idyllically located in the forest, is great when the weather is good. To get to the hut you have to drive a winding road. The parking lot is not lit, which is bad in the dark.

The Kugelfanghütte is an insider tip for very special occasions.. delicious food, friendly service.. a visit is worth it. :-)

War heute mit Frau zum Essen . Beim Eintritt der Hütte , dem Lächeln des Personal und des Inhaber mit Modelfrau , ist schon so toll wie die Vorspeise . Das Essen bekommt uns wie in einem 3 Sterne Restaurant . Dessert bringt ein Glücksgefühl und der Kaffee ist einmalig denn er wirkte bei mir wie die BLAUE ! Diese Hütte bekommt Note 1 👌

We were visiting the area from Canada and stumbled across this gem in the woods. We did not realize that we should have had a reservation but fortunately were early enough that they were able to squeeze us in. A wonderful meal! (Note - cash if you do 't have a German credit card) Danke.

Wir hatten schon zum wiederholten Male einen sehr schönen Abend mit sehr gutem Service und hervorragendem Essen. Die Portionen sind sehr großzügig und äußerst ansprechend angerichtet. Wenn wir aus der Schweiz zu Besuch sind,kommen wir immer hierher zum Essen.

War überrascht die liegt sehr schön im Wald. Über das Essen kann man wirklich nix sagen, uns hat es allen sehr gut geschmeckt.

Ein ganz toller Ort um ein zu kehren und zu essen. Ganz tolles Essen, sehr flexibel ( wir hatten ucht reserviert ubd obwohl alles ausgebucht war haben wir einen Platz bekommen) Preise sind bezahlbar. Jederzeit sehr gerne wieder.

Tolles Essen, gehen immer wieder gerne hierher. Es ist immer Betrieb, was schon alleine etwas über die Hütte aussagt. Im Biergarten meint man mitten im Wald zu sitzen.

Auf Platz 1 in der Region um Zweibrücken. Tolles Essen, tolles Personal (immer freundlich, hilfsbereit), Kinder und Hunde willkommen, auch Wanderer! Innen- und Außenbereich einladend direkt am Wald, somit auch kühler bei heißen Sommertagen. Preis-Leistung stimmt hervorragend. Hoffentlich bleibt der Inhaber und das Team lange hier der Region erhalten. Wir werden hier weiterhin gerne alle 2 Monate hier einkehren.

Eine wunderbare Wanderhütte, malerisch am Waldrand gelegen und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Biergarten ist sehr einladenden. Unsere gewünschten Getränke wurden von einer Servicekraft, die keine unnötigen Worte machte zügig serviert und das bestellte Essen ließ auch nicht lange auf sich warten. Steak, Schnitzel, Pasta und Salat waren gut, der Preis gerechtfertigt. Der Name ist hier Programm, kein Schnickschnack sondern das Wesentliche!
