5 stars – Idyllic inn with a beer garden and a view of the trout – simply fantastic! A real insider tip! The beer garden is a little paradise - cozy, relaxed and with a view of the fish tanks. While you enjoy a cold beer, you can watch the trout swim - pure relaxation. The trout from our own farm is of course the highlight: freshly prepared, crispy fried and an absolute hit in terms of taste. The service was also very friendly and attentive, you immediately feel welcome. We will definitely be back – absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy good food, fresh air and nature!

Unfortunately, like so many letters, the price was too high, from 12.80 to over 18.90 euros and then the portions became much smaller. It's a shame, we enjoyed being here. Beautiful area, but unfortunately we have to say goodbye now. Too expensive.

The fish is good, but quite expensive for the amount on the plate. The whole trout with potato salad costs just under €19 and a very small salmon trout fillet with potato salad costs just over €20. With one drink per person the cost is €50 for two people. The seating is nicely laid out and everything is well padded. We got there just after 11am (open 11am-5pm). There were 2 more tables occupied. So we were able to order straight away and waited almost 15 minutes for the food. Recommendation: go as early as possible. A high chair for the child was also available.

Very tasty, beautiful surroundings and very cozy even in bad weather.

If the 12.80 euro trout out of the oven turns into 19.30 euros (self-service), I'll save myself the trip to Calmbach. They also wisely took the menu off the website, a rogue who thinks evil of it.

You had to add salt and pepper, but then the char was tasty, even if it was fried a little too long. The seating is quite nice, and the prices are quite ambitious for self-service.

Very nicely located place with lots of parking and seating options. Self-service, very clean toilets and a beautifully landscaped area. We paid €55 for 3 meals (2 adults and 1 child with drinks). Unfortunately the fish and the fish cakes were complete. Well done and therefore hard and dry but at least the fish was fresh. It was very busy, but after 15 minutes the food was ready. It's better to buy fresh fish locally and prepare it yourself at home 😉

Super friendly owners, excellent fish, great atmosphere. Very obliging. Very fair prices especially when you consider how much hard work goes into raising the fish!

Fresh char grilled with potato salad... It doesn't get any fresher than from the breeder... A feast for the palate before the Lord! Highly recommended, the ambience is also picturesque…

My opinion: USURY! €4.80 for a bottle of mineral water is simply too much. In the canteen without service! Two trout fillets with potato salad for €17.80 from the producer is also quite sporty. We were here last time... I usually only write good reviews!

I can only agree with the reviews about the long wait. Maybe it was because we were there on Sunday and there were a lot of visitors, definitely an extremely long wait. Firstly when ordering - one person takes the order, gives out drinks and charges for the whole thing, one in the kitchen (where two should be at least on the weekend) and the third at the kitchen counter. The queue when ordering was very long and then the eternal wait until you were called (in any case the whole thing took around two hours). Conclusion - the food is good, but you have to bring a lot of time!

The meal was okay. However, the waiting times are far too long, we waited 2 hours for our food and the prices of the side dishes are extremely overpriced.

I'm unlucky, it was closed twice.
