Top Greek restaurant. The atmosphere is more reminiscent of an old café, but very cozy. The service was super nice and friendly. I came alone without a reservation and the owner still made every effort to find a table in a sufficient time slot. He was also very creative with my special request when I asked for an alternative to tzatziki. Instead of saying he didn't have anything, he offered a sheep's cheese puree, which was very tasty and went well with the gyros. The gyros is really recommended, very tender and tasty! Overall, an absolute recommendation and a top Greek restaurant.

An absolute highlight! This Greek restaurant impressed us with its incredibly cozy atmosphere and extremely friendly and courteous service. Disappointed with quality of food here. Grocery store bread (not even Greek). Salad lacks olive oil. Chicken tastes previously frozen. Lamb chops were overcooked. Too much coconut oil in rice. Good service.

If you reserve a table in the shade in summer when it's 32 degrees, you'll be seated inside next to the kitchen entrance. Hot and stuffy. You lose your appetite. When asked, one of the waiters explains that we should have something to drink and that the next available table outside will be for us. The other waiter, in turn, makes it clear that this is an illusion and that we should order the food. When making the reservation, you are not informed that you only get an indoor table. It's a shame, we otherwise enjoyed going to the restaurant.

I have no understanding for the great reviews here. We were here with a large group of 10 people in the evening with a reservation. The service was really nice, but unfortunately didn't make much of an effort to provide us with drinks throughout the evening. The shop is decorated very nicely. Unfortunately you could see directly into the kitchen from our seat. Apparently hygiene isn't taken that seriously here. Dirty towels on the floor and the kitchen really wasn't particularly clean. Unfortunately, that spoiled my appetite. About the food: the gyros was extremely bad. Very dark to almost black and too crispy. No revelation in terms of taste. Souflaki was ok. The oregano potatoes were also a bad joke. Boiled potatoes cut into slices and sprinkled with dried oregano. Did not like it. Stomach problems after eating included. Unfortunately it wasn't a nice experience for you!

It is the best meze raki restaurant in Berlin. You can experience delicious and affordable Mediterranean appetizers accompanied by Yeni Raki, Tekirdağ or Polamari. In this place, run by Kostas' family, everyone is very sweet and friendly. 🙏

Unfortunately I cannot agree with the good comments from other guests. We sat outside on a summer evening. Unfortunately, the service outside was anything but good. Our glasses were empty for a long time and we kept running past the tables without paying any attention to the guests and their wishes. The food was rather mediocre. We ordered a mixed starter platter and bifteki. We agreed on both dishes: nothing special. All the tables and chairs around us were dismantled as soon as they were no longer occupied - even though the inside area was still completely full. Finally, the bill was placed on our table without being asked and without comment - along with 3 glasses of ouzo (the first and last round of the evening). That was the ultimate “bouncer”. No advance warning, no last lap or anything like that. It's a shame, unfortunately not what we expected...

Very popular neighborhood restaurant with delicious modern Greek mezze dishes, delicious for many decades, sometimes a bit too crowded, so that the employees often reach their limits...

Food was good, but not too much above average, especially for Berlin. (Friday evening:) Having to wait half an hour for drinks just isn't possible... the shop was full, the staff certainly tried hard, but then you can't want to use every table if you don't have enough people who can handle it. .. you're not doing yourself any favors. Probably still a great place during the week.

A Greek restaurant that we really liked! We tasted some specialties to share as mezze. Everything was tasty and well prepared. We chose 5 small dishes for 2 people but it was too much so we took the rest away. All accompanied by a little chilled rosé wine. The waiter was smiling. A little digestive shot offered at the end of the meal is a nice touch that is a pleasure

Busy Greek restaurant. Large menu with very good and generous portions of meze, as well as the usual meat classics. Appetizer platter down-to-earth but not exciting. The starter salad was a bit very salty, the meze was very good, the gyros were average, although a fairly large portion. The souvlaki was also deliciously grilled, but very, very close to cooking. Unfortunately, all of the gyro portions at the table (3x) were cold, as were the fries. Overall, good meze, main courses average. Cold gyros difficult. We'll come back again for the meze, let's see if there's a second chance for warm meat if necessary. 3 points for a solid average.

This is an extraordinary corner of Greece in Berlin - a city of contrasts. It was unexpectedly pleasant to visit a place that serves really delicious food, has a pleasant atmosphere, and also plays live music (albeit Italian). We tried small squid, sardines, lamb (total praise), wine and grappa were also very good))) Recommended!

That's one thing with a food recommendation. Not in the World Lantern case. Everything fresh, typical Greek cuisine, just good. The service is attentive, super friendly and professional. We were here on a warm spring evening and everything was just perfect. Sitting outside in the evening sun, friendly staff and delicious food. At the Mezen we were recommended to take 2/person and 2.5/person if you are really hungry and that's exactly how it is. We had 5 pieces for the two of us and were very full. I found it positive that the food wasn't just seasoned with tons of garlic but with a variety of herbs. You can't say that about every Greek restaurant.

We went here last night. Booked table for six. We arrived with friends a few minutes early and it was all full, but our table was waiting for us! Very good food and I have visited Greece on many holidays visiting more than 20 islands, so I have some experience. According to a former restaurateur friend, fried calamari was very good. You can eat very satisfactorily even if you are a vegetarian. My grilled meat dish was very good and tasty. I would definitely stay here again. Historic Greek restaurant Area. My first meal in Berlin and it was fantastic! The cold appetizer dish was amazing and the chicken was good and well seasoned. The star for us was the service and the friendly staff who were very accommodating especially with a baby.

Sehr authentischer Grieche mit unfassbar leckerem Essen. Ich hatte einen herrlichen Fleischteller und dazu einen Vorspeisen Salat. Dazu griechisches Bier und herzliche Mitarbeiter. Was will man mehr? Auch preislich vollkommen fair. Absolute Empfehlung.

Die anfängliche Freundlichkeit der Wirtin schlug unvermittelt in lautstarke Agression um. Wir sind langjährige und freundliche Gäste. Das Verhalten der Wirtin war unterirdisch und ist nicht nachvollziehbar.

Die Kellnerin hatte die Kritik sehr verständnisvoll aufgenommen und den Gästen mehrere Vorschläge geboten um sie zufrieden zustellen. Sie hat versucht ihnen entgegenzukommen was jedoch abgelehnt wurde. Wir waren vom Essen und von der freundlichen Bedienung sehr zufrieden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Klare Empfehlung von uns !

Vermutlich eins der besten griechischen Restaurant nicht nur in Kreuzberg, sondern in Berlin. Überaus freundliches Personal und das Essen ist wirklich empfehlenswert.

Yunan mutfağını sevenler burayı deneyebilir. Lezzetli kızartmaları, taze ürünler kullanılarak yapılan salataları ve çıtır balıkları ile öne çıkan bu yer uygun ouzo fiyatlarıyla size güzel bir akşam geçirtir. Taverna kültürüne uygun müzikleriyle atmosferi yakalayan bu mekanın tek sorunu yoğun kızartma kokusu ve yağdan kayganlaşmış zemin.

Ich mag das sehr gern, Herzlichkeit und feine kleine griechische Speisen. Du bist ganz schnell und wie selbstverständlich Teil der Familie, die die Weltlaterne betreibt.
