Never again – an absolute disaster! I've rarely experienced a restaurant that was so disappointing in every way. The food was simply inedible: lukewarm, poorly presented, and tasted atrocious – even a frozen meal from a discount store would have been of better quality. The bread was old, the salad soggy, the meat tough as leather. The service seemed completely overwhelmed and disinterested at the same time. When asked questions, they only shrugged their shoulders, and instead of apologies, they gave us annoyed looks. The worst part, though: The atmosphere was a nightmare. Some guests were rioting loudly, shouting across the room, and even throwing over chairs. From 10 p.m. onward, the same thing continued outside – music and shouting like a fairground. Sleep or a relaxed conversation was out of the question. The owner obviously couldn't care less, because they didn't even attempt to intervene. The bottom line: If you're expecting good food, friendly service, or at least some peace and quiet, you should stay well away. An evening I just want to forget.

I ate here this evening with two friends. The food is absolutely recommendable. I had beef liver and rice, and it was absolutely delicious. The starter salad was a decent size, and the pepperoni was amazing—with tzatziki, it was a dream. The bar staff always had a smile on their faces, and we received great advice! We'd love to come back :)

We've been coming here on and off for over 10 years and are always impressed. The staff, the food, the value for money, the ambiance... everything is just right. We'll be back again and again 👌🏻☺️ PS: Since it's very busy, it's worth reserving a table.

Simply awful. This place has screaming customers every night, and you can hear them all the way to your apartment. When people get drunk, they like to pee on the town hall square. Riesa definitely has better restaurants than this one! 🤮 I hope this place closes down.

This evening we went to the restaurant spontaneously and without a reservation. The restaurant was full but thanks to the young waiter there was a nice seat for us. Seven of us went to Riesa for an event over the weekend. Basically, we come from HH and have a wide range of restaurant experience. All 7 of us were so impressed by the ambience of the restaurant, the food served and the service that we didn't want to go to another restaurant the following day and instead reserved a table straight away. The price-performance ratio in terms of portion size, presentation and quality is really good. The range of dishes is large and everyone found what they were looking for in two days. We didn't have a single thing that we didn't like, from starters to main courses and even desserts. What is particularly worth highlighting is the service. Attentive, friendly staff who made us feel very welcome at all times. Very attentive, no long waiting times, even a short, funny conversation. All in all, we had two very nice evenings in a central restaurant with 100 percent great service. We say thank you to the team. 💕🤩

I had dinner there with my dad yesterday and we really enjoyed it. Despite it being very full, we spontaneously got a table (with a bit of luck) and the order was taken quickly. The starter and main course were served quickly and the staff was very friendly. The food tasted delicious, it could just be presented a little nicer, but all in all, I can recommend the restaurant 😊

I can't understand the good reviews. This restaurant has become an ignorant, expensive fast food restaurant. Where has the Greek hospitality and cosiness gone? I can't say anything about the food. After 30 minutes of ignoring, I no longer felt like ordering anything from the unfriendly waiter/boss. It wasn't even enough to welcome us with an ouzo. Very unfortunate......

We enjoyed the food very much. The service was very nice and the prices were absolutely right.

In retrospect, it's strangely well attended but, in my opinion, a below-average restaurant. After 10 minutes at the table without taking an order, I quickly ordered the wheat myself at the counter. This is then placed in a bored manner with the waiter's fingers on the edge of the glass (bon appetit!). The quality of the food doesn't quite reach the standard of a large canteen, which explains the few stars in this rating. Pro tip: pay with card, because then, according to the operator, “unfortunately” no tip can be added to the receipt ;-)

I was disappointed, the Metaxa sauce was a cream sauce😞they don't seem to have heard of garlic either 😕the different meats all taste the same 🙆 the only plus was the service, the 🥗 and the wine.

I had souvlaki with fries. I had canceled the rice, but it was still on the plate. Unfortunately my food had already cooled down, which I didn't think was great, but I still enjoyed it. The souvlaki skewers were a bit too done. I'm just guessing that they wanted to serve the meal together and they forgot to keep my food warm. As a starter there was garlic bread, which tasted very good. Unfortunately there are only 4 slices, which I find a bit small and there is also a dollop of tzatziki missing from the plate. That would be a suggestion for improvement from my side. Otherwise it tastes really good. The salad before was good. All in all, it was a nice evening with good food, but there is still some room for improvement. We will definitely come back and if everything is great, I will edit the text here again.

We had dinner here after a visit to the zoo. We are regular guests at Greek restaurants and were pleasantly surprised. The service was absolutely great. There was virtually no waiting time for the drinks. The employees are very friendly and always had a smile on their faces. The food was very tasty. Everything was freshly made and justified for the price. All in all, it was a very successful experience and we will definitely come back. See you soon!

Today we had another great evening at the Greek Restaurant Crete. We were served very, very friendly and attentively by all of the employees. My son's wishes were also fulfilled. The restaurant is run by a family who is very hospitable. The owners work in the restaurant themselves and welcome every guest like a close friend. This creates a very personal and pleasant atmosphere. The cuisine is another reason why I love the restaurant so much. The dishes are incredibly delicious and even though I've never been to Greece, their food makes me feel like I'm getting to know Greek culture. I particularly like the beautiful presentation of the food. Every meal is served with great attention to detail and portions are generous. We ate here a few weeks ago. It was 19 degrees and we ordered a table for 4 people. When we arrived around 6 p.m., when we asked, we were told that today there would only be service outside. We had jackets with us, but there was smoking outside and that is unacceptable to us while eating. Because we were hungry, we stayed. The service was still friendly up to this point. The food was passable to tasty for 3 out of 4 people. Personally I thought it was OK, I've eaten better in other Greek restaurants. Unfortunately, one person's poultry wasn't cooked through and was more than pink in the middle (unfortunately the person withdrew and told me too late), I would have had it returned straight away, that's just not possible with poultry. When there was a beer, a black beer was brought instead of Pils. When asked, the only answer was: “That’s what they ordered”. No, if you want the same thing again, then in most cases you want it again, in this case a Pilsner. Once the sun was gone, it got cold pretty quickly. In addition, panes were missing from the existing fence and were apparently broken. Therefore, as the wind became cooler, the seat felt uncomfortable (uncomfortable). We would have liked to have stayed there longer, it looked really comfortable inside. But sitting outside at 14 degrees and chatting and continuing to drink cool drinks...probably not. Ouzo was brought every now and then, but that didn't really make it any better. The crowning touch to the whole thing was that guests with children were brought in through the main entrance to the restaurant (which was locked at 6 p.m.) and then were able to eat inside (which was NOT supposed to be possible today). Sorry, but I can't understand at all how you can treat your guests like that. When I paid, I thought the price was outrageous given the service provided. I'm happy to tip more than 10% if I'm really happy, but unfortunately that wasn't the case that evening. We won't come again.

Unfortunately, small special requests were not taken into account. There were pat answers 😔 the rest of the team was super 👍 nice. The border is very unkempt and panes are missing. Salt and pepper are also missing on the tables.

A visit to the Kreta restaurant in Riesa feels like a short vacation in Greece. The hospitality here is simply unbeatable! As soon as you enter the restaurant you are warmly welcomed by the friendly family who own the restaurant, who immediately make you feel at home. The food is authentic and incredibly tasty - from the starters to the main courses. You can tell that the cooking here is made with love. The service is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed. We would definitely like to come back and can only warmly recommend Crete!

Personally, I found the food just bad and, to be honest, not very sophisticated, which justifies the price. The Crete platter was missing beef, fries were just bad, all in all not appealing at all. Service is absolutely dismal in my opinion. I ordered more cutlery once and then it was slammed onto the table of another person at the table - I've never experienced anything like that. If you order a bottle of wine and decide to get a second one, I strongly assume that the same bottle will be served again and not something else with the statement "it's the same" - please don't kid me! There will be no second visit for me!!!

The staff is friendly, the dining room and outdoor area are very nice, the food is fantastic and the toilets are modern and clean. Admittedly, the prices aren't the cheapest, but we found it reasonable relative to the taste and portion size.

No question, the waitresses are really friendly and the sheep's cheese with garlic was also great, but: Unfortunately, the taste and portion size of the main courses didn't match the price (gyros with Metaxa for €21.90). It's a shame, my wife and her family were very happy here for years and it would work elsewhere too.

The price is a bit high (but it's more expensive everywhere now) and it would have been nice if there had been a small special menu for lunch during the week. A menu for children would be nice. But when we asked about it, we were verbally offered children's meals. The portions were very large and we enjoyed the rest again in the evening. Crete is highly recommended 👍

We ordered three large coffees. These were filled differently. One cup wasn't even half full. The other cup was only a quarter full. We objected to it. The cups were taken back by the waitress. They want to bring us new coffee. A short time later we got our coffee (no, not new coffee and not refilled either) back. Reason, it wouldn't be possible otherwise mechanically...! We still had to pay the full price. There was no tip for that. I won't be entering this restaurant again.

Das Personal ist freundlich der Service war auch nicht schlecht aber das Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist schon sehr hoch meiner Meinung sogar ein wenig überteuert für das Essen. Essen war sehr lieblos angerichtet und auch Geschmacklich nicht überragend. Für Kinder gibt es gar nix was leider sehr schade ist selbst Mal Zeug wurde nicht angeboten . Auch die griechische Gastfreundschaft fehlt da sehr mit dem Ouzo so wie ich es kenne. So im ganzen war es OK war aber unser erster und letzter Besuch.

Essen OK. Öffnungszeit bis 0.00 Uhr aber gegen 21.00 Uhr wir die Musik ausgeschaltet und man bekommt ein Rausschmiss Gefühl. Weiterhin wurde ne Rest Flasche Metaxa in 2 Gläser so aufgeteilt das in dem einen Glas nicht mal ein halbes cl war. Denn danach gab es keinen mehr. Also geht es Kreta gut. Freut mich. 17 Leute wahren wir.

Goede kaart met veel keus, vriendelijke bediening, en een gezellige sfeer. De Kretateller kan ik iedereen aanraden. Gute Speisekarte mit viel Auswahl, freundlicher bedienung und eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Den Kretateller kann ich jedem empfehlen.
