It was one of my best experiences at this restaurant. Greek with very nice and fresh products. The staff was very kind and helped us choose the best dishes on the menu. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Unfortunately, the food wasn't what you'd expect for the price. The garlic potatoes were cold, the lamb fillet was very small, cold, and overcooked. And the classic uzo was completely missing.

Today I was there for the first time in four years. The starters were good, albeit heavily salted/seasoned. The main courses were too bland for my taste and simply didn't taste that good 😕 The tzatziki lacked garlic, and the szuflaki was a shoe sole 😕 The bill at the end wasn't well-arranged. There were several of us, and we had to go to the cashier to pay, and everyone had to list what they had. It wasn't relaxing, but rather annoying; unfortunately, the staff were "a bit" irritated. Conclusion: Not again for a while, at most two people.

We ate at the restaurant with family. We had reserved a table for four people by phone. When we arrived and checked in, we were told they hadn't reserved a table. A few minutes later, an employee came and said they'd forgotten to call. We got a table. It was very loud that day. It was difficult to have a quiet conversation. Then we ordered drinks: two beers, one Coke, and one cocktail. That was well received. The drinks were barely empty when we were asked again for another beer and another Coke cocktail. It was intrusive. We ordered food. Either the employees don't understand German. An appetizer wasn't brought. There was no response to our inquiries. The main course. It was a mess. The food wasn't arranged nicely. It was slapped together. It looked like it was mixed together. The meat wasn't cooked through. The fish was half-raw. One dish was completely oversalted. When we brought it up, no one asked us why we tried it. You can't tell how it tastes without tasting it. A discussion ensued. Rude and unfriendly. We should leave the restaurant. Another meal was oily. A family member got stomach problems. The restrooms were out of toilet paper. The staff were asked about it. Nothing was done. We've never experienced anything like this before. We will avoid this restaurant. Poor service. Poor food.

The food was very salty and some of it was still raw. The boss didn't really listen to what the problem was or didn't want to understand it. He also wanted to clear away the plates that were still being eaten.

We were stranded in our campervan in Riesa on the Elbe River and searched for a restaurant on Google. Bingo! We found a very modern restaurant in Platon. The quality and service impressed us. Thank you so much! We'd love to come back.

Very delicious Greek food. Everything is fresh and the staff is very friendly. They offer a free ouzo at the beginning. Card payments are accepted. I'd be happy to come back. Update 08/31/25: The food was great, the liver pan with Metaxa sauce, so it's full stars again! I'd be happy to come back.

We decided at short notice to go to Platon, and as always, we were greeted very warmly by the staff. The food we ordered arrived quickly, was lovingly prepared, and tasted simply outstanding. Full marks, a fantastic restaurant. I can only recommend it.

The food was great, but the service was really bad. Very disappointing. We wanted to go out for a nice evening meal, and the waiter was annoyed and rolled his eyes. It's a real shame that it spoiled the mood for staying longer. Otherwise, it would have been 5 stars.

I was at the Platon restaurant and there are no complaints. It's simply perfect! You all have to go 😍. The service was very good, the atmosphere was fantastic! The location was also very nice. The food was delicious and enjoyable. We had dessert at the end and it was simply delicious. It was the best restaurant I've ever been to!

The gyros in metaxas sauce was delicious. We were at Platon again today after a long time. And I had the gyros in metaxas sauce again. Simply delicious and highly recommended.

Whenever I stay with my parents, we always enjoy eating at the Platon restaurant. Firstly, I love the Greek cuisine. It's served sensationally at Platon! It tastes delicious, looks appealing on the plate, and the service is extremely attentive. The always courteous and uncomplicated manner (of all the employees) makes you feel warmly welcomed from the very first moment. That sometimes seems forced to others, but here you get an authentic feeling. There's nothing negative to say. We'll be back! Promise. Thanks for the wonderful evenings so far!

The ordering system should be reconsidered. We had booked a table for 6 p.m. from the “Chef” and everything in the “main restaurant” was packed. A long queue formed at the entrance and in front of the restaurant. After a long wait (no one came to us) we asked and were taken to the second restaurant and seated at a table with strange guests! We've never had either. The order was taken very nicely and drinks and salad plates came quite quickly. We always asked if the food would come on time. Only the main meal wasn't in sight even after 1 hour. When asked, the boss responded with a bit of annoyance. But since we had tickets for an event in Riesa, we were under a bit of time pressure, which is what we said from the beginning When we wanted to leave the restaurant without a main course, there was a heated argument about payment; since we didn't have the food, we only wanted to pay for drinks and salad. But that didn't work at all. So we sat down annoyed and got the food, hastily ate it and ran to the event. The food was tasty, but couldn't be enjoyed. Conclusion: If you are under time pressure, you shouldn't rely on everything being delivered promptly and you getting to your appointment on time. But the location is very nice. And the waitresses are all nice.

2 stars for the Restaurant Platon in Riesa – unfortunately a disappointing experience We were actually looking forward to a lovely evening in the Platon restaurant – and it could have been that. Unfortunately, it became quite a nuisance. A week in advance we had made a special reservation for 6 p.m. because we had tickets for an event in the WT Arena at 8 p.m. So everything was well planned in terms of timing – we thought. We were there promptly at 5:50 p.m. and the restaurant was well attended. It wasn't until 15 minutes later that a waiter came to take our orders - both drinks and food. The drinks and our appetizer were then served around 6:40 p.m., almost an hour after we arrived. Both were of good quality – the starter was tasty, the atmosphere was stylish and pleasant. The friendliness of most of the waiters was also commendable. From then on, however, everything unfortunately got out of hand: At 6:50 p.m. we politely pointed out that we had to leave by 7:30 p.m. at the latest. The information was accepted – without any visible consequences. At 7 p.m. I spoke directly to the boss again. Her reaction was more annoyed than solution-oriented. 7:10 p.m.: asked again – answer: “The food will be there in 10 to 15 minutes.” 7:21 p.m.: asked again - this time they said they didn't know exactly, but they should "see for themselves how much is going on". As a guest you feel neither taken seriously nor valued. We then canceled the main course - with a heavy heart, because going to the event hungry was certainly not the plan. The waitress announced that the boss would be with us in two minutes. After waiting five minutes with no response, we paid for an appetizer and drinks and left. An evening that could have been saved with a little organization and mindfulness. What's particularly bitter is that by making an early reservation we did everything we could to enjoy a stress-free meal before the event. In our opinion, the fact that it was not possible to serve the food on time despite repeated advice is a clear case of poor customer service. The less than empathetic approach to our situation also contributed to the disappointment. Positive: great ambience, delicious starter, mostly friendly staff. Negative: serious organizational deficiencies, lack of time management, little understanding of the customer context. Conclusion: Two stars – with a lot of goodwill. The Platon has potential, but urgent work needs to be done on mindfulness, communication and customer orientation.

The ambience itself was nice, but had something of a mass feel about it. At the end the volume level was so loud that it was no longer possible to have a quiet conversation. Some of the food was already cold and the rump steak was completely cooked through. There was no discount. I wouldn't go out to eat again.

The food tasted very good. I would definitely come back. Highly recommended is number 70 on the menu with fries 🍟 and number 6 is the garlic bread

We spontaneously decided to have dinner here for dinner. The service staff was careful and very accommodating. The food was served quickly and tasted excellent. Strongly spiced. All in all, a great end to the evening

Our visit to the restaurant will also be our last. We wanted to redeem a non-limited voucher from 2022. The owner of the restaurant refused to accept the voucher, saying that the vouchers were only valid for one year. He would accept a maximum of 2023. Due to the so-called regular limitation period in accordance with Sections 195 and 199 of the German Civil Code (BGB), this voucher is valid until December 31, 2025. There is no restriction on the validity period to one year on the voucher. We were forced to pay our bill without a voucher and gave the restaurant 50 euros. It will certainly be our last visit.

Unfortunately we would not visit this restaurant again. There is ouzo as a welcome, but nothing thereafter. My husband ordered a dish with different types of meat. The leg of lamb was a joke, meat was cold overall. Absolutely not justified for just under €22. The appetizer plate is only available for 2 people. When asked if it could also be ordered for one person, the answer was no. So I ordered the starter plate for 2 people (€22!) as a main course. Of course it was served as a starter. What was offered has no relation to the price. (including 3 slices of eggplant, 3 slices of zucchini... Why 3, for a platter for 2 people 🤔) Overall, unfortunately, a rip-off. Crowded Greek restaurants are now normal.

Die Küche und das Personal waren dem Ansturm der Gäste nicht gewachsen. Es ist unheimlich laut im Gastraum. Auf unser Essen haben wir über eine Stunde gewartet, bestellte Getränke wurden gar nicht erst serviert. Die Portionen sind nicht in der Menge, die man von einem griechischen Restaurant eigentlich erwartet. Essen wird recht lieblos serviert. Schade.

We were there for the first time yesterday. The restaurant itself was nice, but we waited half an hour until we could place a drink order. Ordered food at the same time. This waiting time was ok, but not everyone liked the food. The fried potatoes were weak and didn't taste like anything. The beef liver in the pan was tasty. The gyro was okay. The ouzo at the beginning was warm and once you've paid, every good Greek restaurant gives you an ouzo to say goodbye. Then you had to go to the checkout beforehand because we paid for two couples separately. To conclude, it's easy to say that the service wasn't ok and the price-performance ratio wasn't right.

Totally overpriced for junk food and portions too small. No thanks.

This is simply our favorite restaurant in Riesa, very good food and great staff with a wonderfully nice boss. Cozy atmosphere where we always like to linger, and the food is always at the table very quickly, it's simply wonderful here.

In any case, a table must be reserved in advance. The ambience is very stylish and sophisticated. Staff and service are always friendly and always have a smile on their faces. Price-performance ratio and offer are completely consistent. The food is very good, tasteful and very tasty.

I was very positively surprised. The service was pleasant and friendly. There was a large selection of dishes and it was very tasty and of course the ice-cold ouzo before and after the meal was not missing either. I felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back soon.

Absolutely recommended 👍🏼 The obligatory ouzo at the start was of course also included - and was not added to the bill (which I have unfortunately already experienced at some Greek restaurants) With drinks, starters and decent main meals for two we paid a little over 50 euros - absolutely good price and the food was really great. We went to this restaurant for lunch on a Sunday. The prepared dishes tasted very good. The staff was friendly and accommodating. At the beginning there was an ouzo on the house. We would love to come back here. If you can't make your dish, it will be packed and given away free of charge.

Nice, friendly staff. The food came quickly but lacked spice and taste. The fish platter consisted of raw broccoli, rubbery calamari and breaded fish which was very dry. Everything was floured to death. But the rice was ok. The rest of the group thought it could be eaten. Overall a nice atmosphere, nice people but the food wasn't a highlight.

Extremely friendly welcome, food is very good and the price is reasonable. I personally baked the 49 pork fillet tips with Metaxas sauce and cheese. The pork fillet tips were very tasty, juicy and well done. In addition, Metaxa sauce tastes very good and goes very well with it. The money was worth it.

Food and ambience ok, but nothing special either. There are better "Greeks", no idea what nationality the operators come from. A male waitress didn't even understand our language, he was probably the clearer or errand boy... We didn't like it there.

We really enjoy eating out in and around Riesa, whether at Pane Vino, Da Remi, Kreta, Hammerbräu, Dorfkrug Roda or other restaurants. In order to see a different map, we went to Platon for the first time. From a purely culinary perspective, it will be the last time for us. The atmosphere is chic, the staff is on the ball, but what came out of the kitchen wasn't tasty. Even the starter was floured to death and the vegetables no longer had any taste of their own. Two of the three main courses couldn't be described as tasty either. The fish, the fish mix platter was again floured to death. The vegetables were without seasoning and rubbery and the rice was cold. Likewise the main course of a pan with a lot of peppers, vegetables and little meat. All in all, you can eat better Greek food elsewhere in Riesa and the surrounding area.
