It's been 14 days since my visit. I was similarly late with my first meal because they've been open for a while. My mother had already eaten there, under the previous boss, and it was time to go again. If you haven't been there yet, you should definitely go - super nice service (and I work in the industry myself)... the food was also great, well prepared, good portion size, fantastic taste. I would like to see more great restaurants like this... On the other hand, you naturally know where you want to go again. So, just like that evening, praise again to the kitchen and the young lady (thanks for recommending the wine) and her young colleague, who was also able to shine with sympathy. Great team.

No indoor space was put outside without being reported via the reservation. Normally no problem with the sun, but outside it was cold and wet.

We ended up at the Kostbar restaurant while passing through. The atmosphere is modern but still very cozy. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were impressed by the quality of the food and we enjoyed it very much (but everyone has to judge that for themselves) We'd love to come back!

We ate here spontaneously and were lucky to get a free place during the week for three of us. The restaurant is quite small, but is very nicely decorated. The dishes were all very tasty and well cooked. The price may be a little higher, but the taste definitely justifies it. I particularly recommend the chicken breast with sweet potato fries and truffle mayo. The fries with the mayo were to die for. At the end of the evening we agreed that we hadn't eaten so well for a long time and we would definitely come back.

Our visit to the Kostbar in Chemnitz was an all-round fantastic experience. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed with open arms. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, immediately reflected in the careful placement at a generous table for two of us - a truly luxurious feeling of space and comfort. Absolutely top! We were guests here today, 9 people, birthday party with reservation slot 7:30 p.m. At 7 p.m. we were allowed to sit at our table and were greeted with a glass of champagne, the best choice. Then the drinks and food were picked up and red and white wines were recommended for the main course. Our choice was a dry red wine, absolutely recommended. The starters were stylishly prepared and very tasty. The main courses, including pulp, risotto and venison, were extremely delicious and the portion size was sufficient. For dessert there was Kaiserschmarren with a simple espresso. All in all, a pleasant and successful evening. The guests felt like they came from all over the world, young and old, relaxed and open to what they could expect here. So to draw a final conclusion, everyone is welcome here, no matter where you come from! The staff is open-hearted and committed, very friendly and will read your every wish. We'd love to come back. An experience for the palate in a very tasteful ambience. There are few top restaurants in Chemnitz, but this is definitely a pearl among the bars and restaurants. Great ambience, incredibly nice staff and the cuisine literally conjures up a treat for your palate. The name KostBar does justice to the small but fine restaurant. It was a great evening with indescribably great food. Definitely an insider tip 😉

Best shop in town. Service is outstanding, there is always a quick message in store and the two of them still deliver. The food is great, as is the ambience. There are always specific dishes or even entire themed evenings. They'll come up with something, I say. :) The only thing that always surprises me is that kitchen staff walk through the aisles with Tupperware containers. I can understand that given the delicious food, but it's also a bit funny.

We were there for the second time and will definitely come back. Everything fits: beautiful ambience, great service and excellent cuisine! The prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food largely justifies this. Conclusion: highly recommended if you are not a penny pincher :-)

Wir waren gestern Abend mit Freunden bei Ihnen zu Gast. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Der Tisch war sehr schön dekoriert. Wir gaben unsere Bestellung auf bei einen sehr netten jungen Mann. - Das Essen war in einer sehr guten Qualität. Es hat allen gut geschmeckt. Ich kann das Restaurant gern weiterempfehlen. Hier stimmt alles. Wir kommen gern wieder, wenn wir wieder einmal in Chemnitz sind. Allerdings sollte man vorher einen Tisch reservieren. Das Restaurant ist klein aber fein.

Einfach mal richtig lecker 🤤 Wir waren hier grad Martinsgans essen und ich kann für uns alle sagen, dass es sehr lecker geschmeckt hat.

Immer wieder ein Erlebnis, köstliches Essen, herzlicher Service und tolles Ambiente. Wechselnde Karte je nach Jahreszeit und Festtag. Reservierung empfehlenswert. Hatten heute eine sehr leckere Martinsgans (11.11.2023) und der Kaiserschmarrn danach war einfach himmlisch. Schade, dass es diesmal keine Kaffeekekse gab. Die waren immer mein Highlight zum Schluss. Na vielleicht beim nächsten Besuch wieder. Macht weiter so, wir kommen gern wieder.

Super Küche (Handwerk und kein nullachtfünfzehn Essen) und toller Service (aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich). Gern wieder bzw. Wiederholungsgefahr😉

Selten so hohe Erwartungen gehabt und so bitter enttäuscht worden. Ich hatte extra reserviert, wir bekamen allerdings den schlechtesten Tisch, mit der Eingangstür im Rücken. Als ich fragte, ob es noch einen anderen Tisch gibt, wurde gesagt es sei alles durchgeplant. Gut, da kann man nichts machen, das verstehe ich auch und habe es hingenommen. 10 Minuten später trafen allerdings zwei Gäste ohne Reservierung ein, die - ganz spontan - einen besseren Tisch bekommen haben. Eine absolute, überhebliche Frechheit des Herren am Tresen! Ich wählte die Pastapfanne für stolze 14,50 EUR. Meine Begleitung das Saltimbocca vom Hechtfilet für 18,90 EUR. Die Pastapfanne war ein Lacher. Ölige Spaghetti in einer stinknormalen, geschmacklosen Tomatensoße, Parmesanplättchen, die es in jedem Supermarkt gibt, riesige Brocken lasches Gemüse. Da kocht jede Kantine besser. Aber das Saltimbocca war der Ausbund. Vielleicht informiert sich der Küchenchef mal, was das eigentlich ist. Jedenfalls keine totgebratenen Stücke eines TK-Fischs, der bereits zum Himmel stinkt. Die Ravioli wurden gleich mal ganz vergessen, wurden nachgeliefert und auf das Gericht gab es 50% Rabatt. Das war okay. Auch unser Kellner war okay. Die Ravioli waren dann allerdings in der gleichen Tomatensoße ertränkt, die sich bereits in meiner "Pfanne" und auch im Gemüse meiner Begleitung befand. Auf den Nachtisch haben wir dann verzichtet. Keine Ahnung, warum wir hier so behandelt wurden und uns so dermaßen schlechtes Essen vorgesetzt wurde, die anderen Bewertungen sind ja durchweg positiv. Da nützt dann auch der weiße Handschuh nichts, mit dem das Besteck hingelegt wird. Das wirkt im Zusammenhang echt lächerlich. Nie wieder!

Today's Festival of Sounds in Chemnitz. During our bar hopping-mission we've stopped by at KostBar. By the time of our arrival there were no free tables for a group of 7. The service personnel organised a table- even without a reservation. The waiters were super friendly and easy going. Thank you for a nice time!! Wir sind wieder da. Gezielt sind wir das zweite Mal hier und haben wieder vorzüglich gespeist und getrunken. Heute folgten wir der Empfehlung des Hauses und wählten u a das ~250g feinstes Stück Rumpsteak sowie Vorspeisen Würzflesich und Bruschetta sowie als zweite Hauptspeise Flammkuchen mit Birnen und Ziegenkäse. Ein gigantisches Geschmackserlebnis bei allen Speisen, besser geht es einfach nicht. Vielen Dank an das ganze KostBar Team.

Man kann nur sagen: Alles Top! Der Service ist absolute Spitzenklasse und versteht absolut was er tut. Nach der tollen Weinberatung haben wir uns für einen Sauvignon Blanc entschieden, welcher etwas hochpreisiger, aber unvergleichbar toll war. Das Essen war ebenfalls super. Haben ein paar Tage zuvor einen Sonderwunsch geäußert, und zwar Beef Wallington. Dies stellte für die Küche keinerlei Problem dar. Geschmacklich absolute Spitzenklasse und Handwerklich hervorragend zubereitet. Für 2 Personen haben wir mehr als ausreichend Fleisch und Beilagen serviert bekommen. Der Kellner hat es uns sogar am Tisch tranchiert - ein richtiges Erlebnis. Alles in Allem ein gemütlicher Laden mit herausragender Küche und versiertem Service. Immer wieder gern!

Von freundlichem Servicepersonal kann absolut keine Rede sein, zumindest nicht von dem Herrn, den ich als "Servicepersonal" hatte. Wir hatten für 19.00 Uhr für 2 Personen einen Tisch reserviert. Durch eine Autopanne würde sich meine Begleitperson um eine Stunde verspäten, was ich dem Herrn 18.45 Uhr mitteilte und darum bat, die Reservierung eine Stunde zu verschieben. Als Antwort darauf: "ich kann Ihnen nicht garantieren, dass der Tisch dann noch frei ist." Gut, dachte ich, ein leerer reservierter Tisch bringt keinen Umsatz - in der Sache also nachvollziehbar. Ich teilte ihm mit, dass ich dann doch dableiben würde, worauf die Antwort kam, wenn ich etwas konsumieren würde, gänge dies in Ordnung. Eigentlich war hier schon eine kleine Grenze bezüglich der Tonart überschritten. Aber gut, das Restaurant war voll, vielleicht war er gerade etwas im Stress. Als nächstes wurden zwei kleinere Tische auseinandergezogen, was für mich völlig in Ordnung war. Aber auch hier die Ansage: "Sie werden ja wohl kaum 2 Tische brauchen." Ich blieb immer noch ruhig und bestätigte ihm, das 2 Plätze für 2 Personen völlig ausreichend sind. Ein Tisch verblieb direkt an der Bar. Dort wollte ich mich dann hinsetzen, bekam aber sofort als Ansage. " Das ist nicht ihr Tisch, der hier ist für sie." Also ging ich an den anderen Tisch. Dort wagte ich mir dann doch tatsächlich, den Stuhl zu verrücken, damit ich nicht 50 cm vor mir die Wand anschauen muss. Sofort kam ein anderer Kellner und bat mich, den Stuhl wieder zurückzustellen, da ich damit den Durchgang zu den anderen Tischen verstellen würde. ( Er brachte dies allerdings in einer sehr freundlichen Tonart im Vergleich zu seinem Kollegen). Jetzt wurde es mir doch zu anstrengend. Der verrückte Stuhl stand genau an der Stelle, wo sich vorher mein Tisch befand und damit auch kein Durchgang möglich war. Der Mitarbeiter überlegte kurz und gab mir recht. Aber prompt kam Kollege NR.1 und meinte: "Wir machen hier die Regeln". Daraufhin teilte ich ihm mit, dass ich dann lieber gehen werde - Antwort: " Da sind wir aber froh drüber" Als ich mich zum Ausgang umdrehte, winkte er dann auch schon einem Pärchen zu. Ich kannte die Frau, und teilte ihr mit, dass ich es hier nicht besonders schön fand. Auch jetzt musste er unbedingt noch einen draufsetzen: " Ja, sie fand es ganz schlecht hier." Diese ganze Situation dauerte nicht länger als 6 oder 7 Minuten. Diese kurze Zeit und das mehr als unfreundliche und arrogante Auftreten des Mitarbeiters haben ausgereicht, um in Zukunft von einem weiteren Besuch abzusehen. Wir hatten dann noch einen überaus schönen Abend im La Bouchee mit tollen freundlichen Mitarbeitern.

Der beste service der Stadt, vom essen wollen wir garnicht erst Reden, empfehle ich jedem der was für gutes essen übrig hat

Trunk und Speis sind wirklich „heiß“!

Super Restaurant, top Service und sehr leckeres Essen. Sind sehr oft mit Freunden zum Abendessen hier und es hat immer geschmeckt. Vor allem ist die Bedingung hervorzuheben, die Jungs sind sehr freundlich und gehen auf jeden Wunsch ein. Man fühlt sich immer umsorgt. Die Steaks werden stets frisch zubereitet und sind von höchster Qualität.

Wir waren gestern das erste Mal auf Empfehlung in der KostBar. Die ersten Getränke und auch die Vorspeisen ließen nicht lange auf sich warten. Der Vorspeisenteller ist absolut zu empfehlen! Leider war der Flammkuchen mit Käse überbacken, was doch sehr untypisch für Flammkuchen ist und ihn dadurch leider geschmacklich eher "kaputt"gemacht hat... Tip - Käse weglassen oder dem Gast als Option offen lassen. Die Hauptspeisen waren sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Allerdings saßen wir danach eine halbe Stunde vor leergegessenen Tellern. Es kam kein Kellner mehr, um nach Getränken oder gar Dessert zu fragen. Das macht nicht unbedingt Lust auf mehr. Die Rechnung kam dann auch erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen... FAZIT: Essen: Preis-Leistung gut Service: ausbaufähig
