Great restaurant, excellent food and very attentive and friendly service. If I end up in Chemnitz again, I'll definitely come back. Absolute recommendation.

Culinary highlights with small deductions in the ambience During our visit to this restaurant we were treated to culinary delicacies that were both tasty and visually impressive. appetizer The pumpkin and ginger soup was a successful start to the evening. It was attractively presented and scored with a pleasantly fruity taste. We particularly liked the fine balance of pumpkin and ginger. Main course The fried sea bass was a real highlight. Cooked perfectly, the skin was crispy and the meat was tender and flavorful. There was also a fruity aioli that went perfectly with the fish. The vegetables of cherry tomatoes, potatoes and green asparagus complemented the dish harmoniously, although the asparagus was a little tough at the bottom - a minor blemish in an otherwise flawless main course. Both the starter and the main course are highly recommended. service The staff were extremely friendly and attentive - there's really nothing to complain about here. Ambiance The restaurant's interior is stylish and inviting, although the tables were quite close together, which somewhat detracted from the atmosphere. With a little more space the overall impression could be significantly improved. Conclusion A visit to a restaurant that impresses above all with its excellent cuisine and outstanding service. Anyone looking for a culinary experience will not be disappointed here - despite some minor weaknesses in the ambience. We'd love to come back!

We ended our Christmas party here. Great food, absolutely delicious and freshly prepared.

We ordered spontaneously and visited the KostBar for the first time. We liked it very much. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. Everything was well coordinated and tasteful. You feel very comfortable here as a guest. Service was also very good. Attentive and quick. The food is really good. Freshly prepared. All four dishes were delicious and stylishly presented on the plates. We will come again.

Unfortunately, compared to 2 years ago, it's no longer as outstanding. We waited a very long time (45 minutes) for the food. Liver was thin and correspondingly dry. No questions asked if everything was OK. After two drinks, no more service was served after 10 p.m. and the restaurant was cleaned up. It was Saturday evening. Unfortunately, the two ladies in service seemed rather unmotivated at times.

Highly recommended, super nice service, absolutely delicious food (St. Martin's goose) and clean, individual atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

We really like it here. Nice, friendly and definitely a bit cozy. Went for a drink a little later after the event. The card looked good. The homemade lemonade was very good.

We had the pleasure of visiting the Precious and it was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The menu offers a wonderful selection of dishes that are both creative and tasty. I was particularly impressed by the rump steak – tender and full of flavor! The service was courteous and friendly, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. We can highly recommend Kostbar if you still appreciate good and, above all, fresh food. Delicious, freshly prepared food, we had buscetta and the appetizer platter, very good beer, delicious lemonades, the price-performance ratio is balanced, pleasant ambience (the “well-tempered”, very well-suited background music is particularly noteworthy), only the service didn't have its best day. But that's how it happens to all of us... All in all, definitely recommended 👍🏻

The Kostbar convinced me and became one of my favorite restaurants! The food is super tasty, the price-performance ratio is right. The changing seasonal items always offer exciting new dishes. Everything is very upscale, tasteful and visually appealing. The price is simply very fair. Thank you for the lovely hours. Hospitality is still celebrated here. We'd love to come back.

It's been 14 days since my visit. I was similarly late with my first meal because they've been open for a while. My mother had already eaten there, under the previous boss, and it was time to go again. If you haven't been there yet, you should definitely go - super nice service (and I work in the industry myself)... the food was also great, well prepared, good portion size, fantastic taste. I would like to see more great restaurants like this... On the other hand, you naturally know where you want to go again. So, just like that evening, praise again to the kitchen and the young lady (thanks for recommending the wine) and her young colleague, who was also able to shine with sympathy. Great team.

No indoor space was put outside without being reported via the reservation. Normally no problem with the sun, but outside it was cold and wet.

We ended up at the Kostbar restaurant while passing through. The atmosphere is modern but still very cozy. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were impressed by the quality of the food and we enjoyed it very much (but everyone has to judge that for themselves) We'd love to come back!

We ate here spontaneously and were lucky to get a free place during the week for three of us. The restaurant is quite small, but is very nicely decorated. The dishes were all very tasty and well cooked. The price may be a little higher, but the taste definitely justifies it. I particularly recommend the chicken breast with sweet potato fries and truffle mayo. The fries with the mayo were to die for. At the end of the evening we agreed that we hadn't eaten so well for a long time and we would definitely come back.

Absolutely top! We were guests here today, 9 people, birthday party with reservation slot 7:30 p.m. At 7 p.m. we were allowed to sit at our table and were greeted with a glass of champagne, the best choice. Then the drinks and food were picked up and red and white wines were recommended for the main course. Our choice was a dry red wine, absolutely recommended. The starters were stylishly prepared and very tasty. The main courses, including pulp, risotto and venison, were extremely delicious and the portion size was sufficient. For dessert there was Kaiserschmarren with a simple espresso. All in all, a pleasant and successful evening. The guests felt like they came from all over the world, young and old, relaxed and open to what they could expect here. So to draw a final conclusion, everyone is welcome here, no matter where you come from! The staff is open-hearted and committed, very friendly and will read your every wish. We'd love to come back. An experience for the palate in a very tasteful ambience. There are few top restaurants in Chemnitz, but this is definitely a pearl among the bars and restaurants. Great ambience, incredibly nice staff and the cuisine literally conjures up a treat for your palate. The name KostBar does justice to the small but fine restaurant. It was a great evening with indescribably great food. Definitely an insider tip 😉

Best shop in town. Service is outstanding, there is always a quick message in store and the two of them still deliver. The food is great, as is the ambience. There are always specific dishes or even entire themed evenings. They'll come up with something, I say. :) The only thing that always surprises me is that kitchen staff walk through the aisles with Tupperware containers. I can understand that given the delicious food, but it's also a bit funny.

We were there for the second time and will definitely come back. Everything fits: beautiful ambience, great service and excellent cuisine! The prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food largely justifies this. Conclusion: highly recommended if you are not a penny pincher :-)

Wir waren gestern Abend mit Freunden bei Ihnen zu Gast. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Der Tisch war sehr schön dekoriert. Wir gaben unsere Bestellung auf bei einen sehr netten jungen Mann. - Das Essen war in einer sehr guten Qualität. Es hat allen gut geschmeckt. Ich kann das Restaurant gern weiterempfehlen. Hier stimmt alles. Wir kommen gern wieder, wenn wir wieder einmal in Chemnitz sind. Allerdings sollte man vorher einen Tisch reservieren. Das Restaurant ist klein aber fein.

Immer wieder ein Erlebnis, köstliches Essen, herzlicher Service und tolles Ambiente. Wechselnde Karte je nach Jahreszeit und Festtag. Reservierung empfehlenswert. Hatten heute eine sehr leckere Martinsgans (11.11.2023) und der Kaiserschmarrn danach war einfach himmlisch. Schade, dass es diesmal keine Kaffeekekse gab. Die waren immer mein Highlight zum Schluss. Na vielleicht beim nächsten Besuch wieder. Macht weiter so, wir kommen gern wieder.

Super Küche (Handwerk und kein nullachtfünfzehn Essen) und toller Service (aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich). Gern wieder bzw. Wiederholungsgefahr😉

Selten so hohe Erwartungen gehabt und so bitter enttäuscht worden. Ich hatte extra reserviert, wir bekamen allerdings den schlechtesten Tisch, mit der Eingangstür im Rücken. Als ich fragte, ob es noch einen anderen Tisch gibt, wurde gesagt es sei alles durchgeplant. Gut, da kann man nichts machen, das verstehe ich auch und habe es hingenommen. 10 Minuten später trafen allerdings zwei Gäste ohne Reservierung ein, die - ganz spontan - einen besseren Tisch bekommen haben. Eine absolute, überhebliche Frechheit des Herren am Tresen! Ich wählte die Pastapfanne für stolze 14,50 EUR. Meine Begleitung das Saltimbocca vom Hechtfilet für 18,90 EUR. Die Pastapfanne war ein Lacher. Ölige Spaghetti in einer stinknormalen, geschmacklosen Tomatensoße, Parmesanplättchen, die es in jedem Supermarkt gibt, riesige Brocken lasches Gemüse. Da kocht jede Kantine besser. Aber das Saltimbocca war der Ausbund. Vielleicht informiert sich der Küchenchef mal, was das eigentlich ist. Jedenfalls keine totgebratenen Stücke eines TK-Fischs, der bereits zum Himmel stinkt. Die Ravioli wurden gleich mal ganz vergessen, wurden nachgeliefert und auf das Gericht gab es 50% Rabatt. Das war okay. Auch unser Kellner war okay. Die Ravioli waren dann allerdings in der gleichen Tomatensoße ertränkt, die sich bereits in meiner "Pfanne" und auch im Gemüse meiner Begleitung befand. Auf den Nachtisch haben wir dann verzichtet. Keine Ahnung, warum wir hier so behandelt wurden und uns so dermaßen schlechtes Essen vorgesetzt wurde, die anderen Bewertungen sind ja durchweg positiv. Da nützt dann auch der weiße Handschuh nichts, mit dem das Besteck hingelegt wird. Das wirkt im Zusammenhang echt lächerlich. Nie wieder!

Today's Festival of Sounds in Chemnitz. During our bar hopping-mission we've stopped by at KostBar. By the time of our arrival there were no free tables for a group of 7. The service personnel organised a table- even without a reservation. The waiters were super friendly and easy going. Thank you for a nice time!! Keep doing what you are doing and how you are doing things.

Immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Super Essen, zuvorkommende Bedienung und tolles Ambiente

Wir sind wieder da. Gezielt sind wir das zweite Mal hier und haben wieder vorzüglich gespeist und getrunken. Heute folgten wir der Empfehlung des Hauses und wählten u a das ~250g feinstes Stück Rumpsteak sowie Vorspeisen Würzflesich und Bruschetta sowie als zweite Hauptspeise Flammkuchen mit Birnen und Ziegenkäse. Ein gigantisches Geschmackserlebnis bei allen Speisen, besser geht es einfach nicht. Vielen Dank an das ganze KostBar Team.
