Quiet nice restaurant. Food is mega

Delicious (my order) appetizer platter and there was Tarama which isn't available everywhere. My wife ate gyros also very tasty 😋.When we are in Essen again, we will eat here again.

Rarely have I been greeted in such an unfriendly manner - the lady at the counter just looked and when asked if you could sit down, there was a curt "Order here". Not exactly the best start. 😐 Eat: The mezze platter was mixed: Tzatziki without cucumber, taramosalata from the package, but okay. Kopanisti was good, the melitzanosalata had lots of seeds, and the stuffed dolmadakia were more leaf than filling. Instead of feta there was only simple shepherd's cheese. The best thing on the record? The olives. 🫒 The pita was more of a kebab bread, but the gyros was solid. Service & Atmosphere: Speech highlight: “First.” when asked whether I should eat or pay first. 🫠 Hygiene: The highlight was the rude lady's hair in my paste. The hint was only followed by an incredulous “Yes?” – the billing was still full. 🤢 Conclusion: If you limit yourself to gyros with fries, this is probably the best choice - at least it looked good and there was little that could be messed up. For everything else, there are definitely better alternatives. 😬

From the outside it looks like a restaurant, ultimately you order, you pick it up and you take your dishes away. There are more dishes available online than on site. Where you order the food doesn't look very clean. The food was carelessly prepared, more like canteen food. The only plus point: the coleslaw was homemade. P.S. The ladies are welcome to be a little friendlier 😉

Great snack, everything was very clean and very tasty and everything was very fresh. They were also very nice.

The lamb wasn't really good. Too much fat on it... For 15 euros the whole thing... usury!!! The cevapcici in combination with a "hit" 😁 tzatziki, onions and farmer's salad, on the other hand, were very, very tasty!! The operation and service are absolutely top! Telephone orders are ready for pickup within 15 minutes. For me personally, when it comes to my favorite Greek food, namely Cevapcici, the top address here in Huttrop, 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟‼️

So actually always been satisfied. But if it's posted everywhere that you're open until 10 p.m., but the store closes at 9:15 p.m....sorry, but that's not possible. Hello, we have been coming by for years and have always been very satisfied. The food, the service and the friendly staff can only be recommended. Gyros, sausage and side dishes/salad were always to our satisfaction. I wish everyone a happy new year 🙋🏻‍♀️

I was visiting the Elisabeth Hospital and walked past this gyros skewer (love served on a skewer). I'm coming from Mülheim and heading to Essen with my son. Had gyros complete and Crete plate. It was indescribable, gyros juicy but not greasy, great roasting. The fries were crispy and the salad was great. Huge portions, almost didn't make it. Been to many Greeks, but you are my number 1. Thank you, keep it up, we'll be back.

Ordered cream schnitzel with mushrooms // got pepper schnitzel /// Then ordered Bernaise schnitzel with rice. I paid €3 extra for rice and I also paid for fries but where are they my paid goods. Delicious, the portion was a little bigger the first time. Since everything is becoming more expensive to purchase, this is understandable.

Very tasty and, especially for today's times, very well priced food, the place seems quite small without the outside seating, so it's better not to eat there at peak times but rather to take away. I've been avoiding this snack bar for years, having lived there within walking distance for years. This will definitely be the case for the next few years. Service: I was able to pick up the food straight away after I ordered it over the phone, hence two stars. The service included friendliness to customers, smiles, any emotion. None. As unfriendly as ever, this makes me feel very uncomfortable. Another negative point is that card payment is not possible. Ambience: There is smoking at the entrance and inside there is the bar, three slot machines and outdated furniture including the obligatory folkloristic pictures and plastic vines. Very uncomfortable for me. Eat: Fries: No salt, you can change it, it was okay, but it had a weird greasy aftertaste. Gyros: 70 cents extra for tzatziki is cheeky. And the taste is okay at best. There was no onion. The meat itself was okay, but not a bit crispy, just soft spots, something was missing. No strange spots or bones, anything tough, etc. found. The gyros swims in a lake of fat. I don't find it appetizing. Conclusion: The store doesn't give me a good feeling. Maybe in ten years I'll give him another chance and refuse to go there until then.

I know the chip shop from before and it was always good. Went there again after 10 years and almost passed out, fries gyros salad (children's portion) said 13 euros 😨 plus zaziki 70 cents 😆. Honestly, are you serious? In addition, the meat didn't taste like anything. Never again, I'd rather go to a restaurant, pay less and it's tasty.

It's good to be here. The dishes are flattering to the palate. Well seasoned but not over the top. As it must. Good portions to fill you up. For me, he's currently the Greek in the city who runs his restaurant with heart.

Been here for the first time. Very nice atmosphere, you can eat outside or inside. Clean and cozy. Friendliness isn't a big advantage here, but there was a lot of activity. The food (a taxi plate) was very tasty, but the portion was very small and the price was really high. I usually have a hard time opening a taxi plate, but here it was more of a snack. The gyros completely disappeared under the tzatziki, along with 7 pieces of sausage and some fries. And that for almost 10 euros. Sorry, that doesn't fit. It was tasty and nice to sit there, but either the portions need to be bigger or the price needs to be lower.

13€ for gyros with Metaxa sauce. The food was good and it was pretty quick, about 10-15 minutes. Given the price, I expected it to upset my stomach, but I was full and satisfied 👍🏻 Really good for the price, the street next door was a bit noisy with the windows open

The food is delicious, but the portions are an absolute disgrace. Mini bowls, and not even full yet. 4 forks of gyros for €10.50. Really sad and pathetic. I once ordered Gyos Metaxa gratinated COMPLETE (including fries & salad) and a double fries without everything. I got the gyros, the salad and double fries. The fries for the gyros…forgot?! Nope, that was definitely the last time there.

Food is still ok. But kindness is obviously a matter of luck. Prices are also absolutely outrageous. For a really small portion of gratinated gyros €10.50!!! I was a fan for a long time, but I will never go again.

Bought fries and curry sausage. Was placed in a large container. The small part actually includes the curry sausage and the larger part contains the fries. It was exactly the other way around. In the small part there were a few fries and in the larger part there was a small sausage. Sad portion, all that was missing was that he counted the fries. Fat was fresh, unfortunately the sausage was cut a bit carelessly with scissors and was sometimes too big for the mouth. I had to mention that I needed a fork, and he didn't even put it in. Today we went back to this chip shop after a few years. When we were standing in front of the counter for less than a minute, the waitress immediately spoke to us in a very rude and annoyed manner. She didn't give us any time to think about what we wanted to eat, which is absolutely not possible. When she was finished with the order, she had made every sausage and fries 🍟 special, so that we came to a price of 16 euros with three curry sausages and two fries 🍟. When we opened the packaging at home, we were really amazed at the portion that was in the bowl. I just shook my head, it was so overpriced. We won't be entering this chip shop again.

A very clean and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was overpriced for what you got. You had to pay extra for every little thing even though it was supposed to be a complete menu. 13€ for a mediocre portion of gyros with fries is quite a lot, especially since with a complete menu you would expect at least the tzatziki, but this was charged additionally. 6€ for a children's portion of gyros without fries is also on the more expensive side of life, including the small portion of fries (the same price as a normal portion) and the portion of tzatziki. This was the first and last visit to this snack bar. For that money I'd rather go to a real restaurant.

We have been customers of Korfu Grill for a very long time. It's really delicious. But the current prices are really no longer justified. Totally overpriced. We will definitely not come back again. Every ingredient, every punch costs extra. We paid 28 euros for a gyros/fries, a children's plate with fries and salad and a currywurst (all without mayo). This for a chip shop. I can almost go to the restaurant. And what's more, what is ordered is not always packed. This happens often. Same today, instead of green bean salad, green salad was packed. This is always annoying. We also had Jägerschnitzel, which was completely without sauce. The service and friendliness should be worked on. Apparently that's not necessary. It is always well attended. But you should think about it if regular customers stop coming.

The canteen in the Elisabeth Hospital was closed and so we had to choose the Corfu Grill. Scanned the menu with its extensive selection and then decided on the Corfu plate: three different types of meat, fries and a small salad as a side dish. Overall, a very generous portion with a very good price-performance ratio. Particularly good: the skewer and gyros with tzatziki!

We got food to take away and when we came in we were greeted with an annoyed look by the woman serving. We were spoken to in a very sloppy and annoyed manner, not even in complete sentences. Unfortunately, the fries taste like they are almost raw, completely pale and taste like they were fried for 2 seconds. Gyros was delicious. After a “have a nice evening” there was only a “bye”. Interesting how you want to win customers...

Apparently the good previous owners changed here some time ago. The prices are really outrageous. This is a chip shop and not a restaurant. I paid around €8.50 just for the schnitzel. There were also fries, sauce, mayo and a cola. It was just under €15. And all of this before the tax increase on January 1st, 2024. When I spoke to the owner, she gave a vague explanation and the owner came straight back with stupid answers. I can only hope that shops like this won't make it anymore with these prices. Well, it wasn't as full as it used to be under the old owners. Good this way!!!!

Erstes mal bestellt, Gyros was gut. Zweite mal es hatte eine schlechte Geruch, Geschmack war hässlich und anstatt Ketchup war eine andere Sause. Nie wieder...

Bester Grieche wohne mittlerweile nicht mehr in Essen aber wenn ich da bin geht's häufig zum Korfu Grill.. essen gut Preise gut

Sehr leckerer griechischer Imbiss mit bescheidenen Parkmöglichkeiten

Seit langem mal wieder da gewesen und vor Ort gegessen... Naja der Gyros war sehr überwürzt, nicht kross und die pommes nicht richtig durch. Die Preise sind für diese Qualität nicht angemessen sondern ziemlich hoch. Im Restaurant konnte man nur mit Jacke sitzen und essen da es sehr kalt war. Fazit: muss nicht mehr unbedingt sein...

Das Bifteki und Tsatsiki waren sehr gut. Die Pommes leider nicht optimal und der Krautsalat nach meinem Geschmack zu sauer.

Sucht man nach dieser Pommesbude im Internet, findet man den Laden als "griechisches Restaurant". Aber ... weit gefehlt und völlig vermessen, weil hier gibt's nur billiges Pommesbuden-Ambiente mit nach billigstem Fett miefenden und klebrig bestuhlten Räumlichkeiten und ein Produkt-Angebot, das der bescheidenen Qualität klassischer Pommesbuden entspricht. Man weiß schon, was einen erwartet, wenn man solche Lokalitäten betritt. Wird laut gerufen: "Gyros/Pommes/Mayo", weiß man, dass man seinen Hintern bewegen muss, um sein Menü minderer Qualität vom Tresen zu holen. Das zum Thema "Griechisches Restaurant". Aber ... eins können die vom Korfu-Grill richtig gut und tatsächlich auf Restaurant-Niveau: die Preise (was auch sonst). Für 2 Erwachsene mit 3-jährigem Kleinkind, Pommesbuden-Grillteller, Pommesbuden-Schnitzel, Chicken-Nuggets für den Kurzen und 2 Getränke bin ich sage und schreibe 40 € losgeworden. Mir liegt heute noch der alles dominierende Geschmack von billigstem Fett auf Zunge und Gaumen. Jederzeit wieder von hinten angefangen. Pfui.

Gerade sehr gut zu fairen Preisen gegessen. Der Partyservice ist super. 👍👍 Bin bald wieder mit dabei. Platten für 4 Personen.

Einer der besten Imbissbuden in Essen. Dort kann man wirklich alles essen. Was den Korfugrill von anderen abhebt ist das diese auch Gerichte an Kinder angepasst haben.

Ein griechische Imbiss von Griechen geführt. Hier gibt es das, was man erwartet und noch ein bisschen mehr. Wir waren zufrieden.

Für eine griechische Imbissbude ganz ok. Sehr umfangreiche Speisekarte. Meze-Vorspeise reicht für zwei. Scheint bei der Bevölkerung gut anzukommen, denn man hat das 30jährige Jubiläum bereits hinter sich.

Leckeres Essen zu guten Preisen. Die Portionen sind ordentlich und man wird satt. Das Personal ist selbst bei größerem Andrang freundlich. Der Imbiss ist sehr sauber, selbst die Toilette ist top top

Sehr nettes Personal. Super Lecker und sehr reichlich. Sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich. Man kann beim Essen richtig gut abschalten. Am Samstag Vormittag ist es mal nicht so voll, dass ist für uns richtig toll. Wir kommen sehr gerne immer wieder. Wir geben alle sehr gerne 5 Sterne. Sehr empfehlenswert. Heute waren wir im Korfu mal wieder zu Gast. Alles ist unverändert sehr gut. Erneut gibt es volle 5 Sterne von uns Dreien.

Das Essen ist okay, aber leicht überteuert. Die Preise sind nahe an den Preisen, die in einem griechischen Restaurant üblich sind. Dort gibt es allerdings dann auch eine Bedienung und ein angenehmeres Ambiente. Warum der Bereich in dem die Gäste essen von einer Videokamera überwacht werden muss, erschließt sich mir nicht.

Sehr sauber, ordentlich, Service bzw. Bedienung oder Kellner gibt's da nicht. Ist auch gut so da es meiner Meinung nach besser läuft. Essen Sehr lecker...Personal sehr höflich nett und schnell mit der Zubereitung der Speisen. Draussrn sitzt sehr gemütlich

Das Essen ist extrem lecker und keinesfalls auf Imbiss-Niveau. Wir essen hier sehr gerne. Portionsgrößen und Preise sind angemessen.

Ich bin bis jetzt drei oder vier mal hier gewesen. Immer eine super Qualität und super freundliche Mitarbeiter. Portionen sind super gut, gerade für einen schmalen Geldbeutel :-)

Teilweise ist das Personal etwas kühl in der Art der Bedienung, darüber kann man aber absolut hinwegsehen,denn das Essen ist PERFEKT! Kann man nicht anders sagen. Bester griechischer Imbiss weit und breit!!!

Hallo, da ich ein leidenschaftlicher Restaurant Tester bin habe ich mir alle "unter 3 Sterne" Bewertungen analysiert und zu Herzen genommen. Demnach wollte ich dem Ganzen nachgehen und habe mich in die Räumlichkeiten des "Korfu Grills" begeben. Natürlich hatte ich durch meine körperliche Beeinträchtigung Schwierigkeiten den Laden zu Betreten. Das Personal sah dies und half mir unverzüglich. Die Speisekarte sehr strukturiert und einfach verständlich. Nachdem ich meine Bestellung aufgegeben habe, kam diese so schnell, dass ich es nicht einmal schaffen konnte mich mental auf die Leckereien vorzubereiten. Ich hatte mir eine Gyrosplatte mit Extra Tzatziki bestellt. Dazu noch Thunfisch Salat. Als Getränk hatte ich mir 2 Bier geholt. Also preislich super, nicht teuer. Das Essen selbst war sehr frisch, warm und mMn sehr lecker. Kann es also tatsächlich empfehlen und die negativen Kommentare sind in meinen Augen schwachsinnig. 5/5 mit extra Sternchen. Korfu ist ein Grillrestaurant mit großartigem griechischem Essen (aber nicht nur) Der Service ist sehr gut und schnell! Wir werden gerne hierher zurückkehren. 100% zu empfehlen!!! Το Korfu είναι ένα Grill Restaurant με υπέροχο ελληνικό φαγητό (αλλά όχι μόνο) Οι υπηρεσίες είναι πολύ καλές και άμεσες! Θα επιστρέψουμε με χαρά εδώ. Προτείνω 100% !!!

Kann diese Pommesbude leider überhaupt nicht empfehlen. Habe nach dem Klassiker Pommes, Currywurst und Majo schlimmste Übelkeit und Erbrechen, inkl. Schüttelfrost! Diese Bewertung ist nicht mehr aktuell! Der Besitzer hat gewechselt.

Ich war Abends gegen 18 Uhr dort. Der Laden machte einen gepflegten Eindruck. Ich bestellte mir "Gyros komplett" und war erstaunt das das Tzatziki nicht mit inbegriffen war trotz des hohen Preises dieses Gyrostellers.Die Bedienung eine etwas ältere Dame war dazu noch sehr unfreundlich. Fazit das Gyros war okay für den Preis doch etwas wenig auf dem Teller 😒
