SUPER delicious. It's midweek, quite late, but the food is still delicious, fresh, and hearty.

Where Pilsner Urquell used to be (it was always very good and delicious!), Konoba Laterna is now located. We went there for the first time in June. We were invited there. And the food there was delicious, too; we had a lovely table for four by the window. The service and hospitality were very nice.

Good food in a pleasant atmosphere

My husband surprised me with a visit to "Konoba Laterna." The restaurant is very clean and well-maintained, the waitress was very friendly, and you could even chat with her for a few minutes. The food was delicious. We will definitely come back here. The parking situation is a bit limited, but that's not the restaurant's fault.

After a long time, we stopped by the “Konoba Laterna” again today. This time we decided on Pljeskawica in the house style with fried potatoes and fried eggs. Plus a delicious drink, a successful evening with a beautiful ambience.

The restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere, accompanied by pleasant background music. The service was consistently friendly and accommodating, which made the visit particularly pleasant. The food, however, wasn't entirely convincing - especially in relation to the price. The beef broth starter was solid, but could have used a little more seasoning. The main course, the Bergische Pfanne, was served with a so-called cream sauce, which, however, didn't really correspond to what you would expect from a creamy cream sauce. Additionally, the vegetables were like a regular frozen mix that you can find in any supermarket freezer, which was disappointing in a restaurant of this price range. Overall, the food was edible, but not outstanding - especially not at this price. Anyone who values ​​a cozy atmosphere and friendly service will get their money's worth here, but there is still room for improvement in terms of cuisine.

We were in this restaurant for the first time. The service was fine, friendly and attentive. The fish soup tasted like fish, but consisted of bones and minimal waste. So no recommendation! The main course was okay, but the price-performance ratio wasn't right! There is a lack of attention to detail and spice. There is no special memory of this meal. No taste experience! We had reserved a table for 12:00, but unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour for our food. Only after we asked, it was served after another 5 minutes, as if it was put together quickly in a hurry. The food was disappointing - lacking flavor, seasoning and attention to detail. After such a long wait, we expected a lot more, especially since it was a special occasion. Unfortunately no recommendation.

We've been here many times in the past and have always been satisfied with the quality of the food. However, on our last two visits, we noticed a significant decline in the quality and presentation of the menus, and we decided not to return to this restaurant.

My husband and I have a funny habit we call "repetitive disorder." We always go to the same restaurant and order the same food. One of our favorite places in Leipzig is a Croatian restaurant just 350 meters from our old apartment. I clearly remember when I was pregnant with my son; we would eat there once or twice a month, always ordering the "steak teller." Today, we visited the restaurant again. As soon as we walked in, the owner greeted us and said, "I haven’t seen you in so long." I told him that we had moved and no longer lived nearby. He then shared some sad news: he is leaving Germany soon. He sold the restaurant and is going back to Croatia. Soon, this Croatian restaurant will become an Italian one. We felt sad because this place has been an important part of our relationship. It holds many memories for us, from celebrating special occasions to enjoying quiet meals together. Even our son once asked if the owner would still remember us. I confidently said, "Of course!" Thank you for the wonderful memories!!

The selection of dishes is clear, vegetarians should avoid this restaurant. The food came quickly, was sufficient and tasted good. I found the starter significantly too expensive, the main course was on the upper limit.

The staff needs to work on etiquette and the Croatian language

We were there a while ago for my husband's birthday with two small children. We received an unfriendly welcome and were told to sit in the back corner, away from the other two couples, which we didn't like, and after asking, we were rather reluctantly allowed to sit by the window. The service was unfriendly, even to our four-year-old son because he was playing with the decorations (understandable, but it can also be expressed in a different way). The food was definitely not fresh, but convenience food. The menu wasn't really Croatian either, but rather German; the only Croatian item was perhaps the dessert, written in Croatian. After the main course, I actually wanted to order dessert, but after the inedible food (my vegetables were completely oversalted and my husband's weren't seasoned at all), I lost my appetite. We also noticed this with the waitress, who gave us a rude response: "You can't have everything fresh and seasonal. Then you probably won't want anything else to drink." For us, this was our first and last visit there. Not child-friendly. Not to mention the food. It was also far too expensive for the quality.

Good food, great service, ambience could use a little sprucing up

We ate at Konoba Laterna for the first (and last) time. We were very disappointed - to get a plate full of frozen food for this price (some of the vegetables were still bone hard, completely unsalted for me and totally over-salted for my wife) is really quite weak. I mean, it's clear that vegetables that aren't in season have to come from somewhere. However, it simply tasted 1:1 like the cheap Aldi frozen vegetables, without having to refine it a bit. The schnitzels looked like they came from a deep fryer, with croquettes and not a drop of sauce. So overall not recommended...a shame

Waren am 18.11.2023 hier.Wir waren 11 Personen und es war wunderschön. Das Essen war vorzüglich es hat allen super Geschmeckt. Der Service war auch super.Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen.Es ist aber von Vorteil vorzubestellen,da es sehr gefragt ist.Liebes Konobateam weiter so und nochmal vielen Dank für den schönen Abend!!

Das Essen und der Service waren sehr gut. Der Preis der Speisen ist schon recht teuer aber das sieht vielleicht jeder anders. Testet es gern selbst aus.

Essen war wirklich sehr lecker!! Einziger Kritikpunkt wären die etwas öligen Bratkartoffeln, aber das ist wirklich schon alles und jammern auf hohem Niveau. Die Einrichtung ist schön. Die Stühle könnten ausgetauscht werden, die sind schon etwas ramponiert. Ein wirklich schöner Abend mit leckerem Essen. Geht da hin. Es wäre schade wenn dieses Restaurant verschwindet.

Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen. Das Essen ist sehr schmackhaft und frisch zubereitet. Das Ambiente lädt wirklich zum gemütlichen Abendessen ein und ich finde die Atmosphäre als sehr angenehm. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist wirklich top und das fachkundige Personal sehr freundlich.

Positiv: Freundliches aufmerksames Personal, geschmacklich in Ordnung Negativ: Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Ja es wird alles immer teurer, aber 85 € sind für 2 Personen (incl 1 Glas Wein, 2 Bier und 1 gr. Fl. Wasser -7,80!!!-) einfach zu teuer.

Wir haben heute zum Mitnehmen für eine kleine Firmenrunde hier bestellt und sind alle durchweg begeistert! Das Essen war pünktlich fertig, der Kontakt am Telefon und im Restaurant ganz freundlich und hilfsbereit! Sechs Personen haben gegessen, sechs Personen waren absolut begeistert! Das Restaurant sah auf den kurzen Blick, den ich beim Abholen darauf geworfen habe, auch sehr sauber, freundlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet aus. Vielen Dank für diesen leckeren ersten Versuch und wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Fleisch-Liebhaber kommen hier voll auf ihre Kosten. Vegetarisches Angebot hält sich qualitativ in Grenzen, viel Knoblauch. Portionen sind eher klein für eher hohe Preise. Der Wirt und seine Angestellten sind freundlich und gut gelaunt.

Nach längerer Zeit wieder mal mit Familie essen gewesen, war wieder sehr gut freundliche Bedienung und lecker Essen. Komme gerne wieder und ist bestens weiter zu empfehlen.

Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Das Essen ist handwerklich solide ohne viel Schnickschnack. Wer allerdings etwas Raffiniertes oder Modernes möchte, muss woanders hingehen. Abzug gibt es für die sanitären Einrichtungen und die Rechtschreibung der Speisekarte. Es ist zwar alles sehr sauber, aber die Toilettentür ließ sich nicht schließen, weil der Rahmen verzogen ist und die Wasserhähne rosten vor sich hin. Alles in allem aber eine Empfehlung. Im Frühsommer kann man auf der Terrasse abends schön in der Sonne sitzen.

Kroatisches Restaurant im Osten? Super selten! Da mussten wir unbedingt in Leipzig zum Konoba Laterna. Wir haben zu Dritt köstlich gespeist. Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Dessert - alles mega lecker. Muss man sich leisten können, aber wir kommen wieder. Versprochen ✌️

Aquí no hay nada malo, gran porción y comida sabrosa con un servicio amable en un ambiente aceptable. Por otro lado, claramente por debajo de ser llamado delicado. Buena señal es que el restaurante está bastante ocupado.

Tuvimos un almuerzo familiar en Laterna Konoba. El servicio es fantástico! El ambiente era muy grande. Éramos un grupo de 16 personas, ¡pero la comida se servía rápidamente y estaba deliciosa! El propietario es muy acogedor y amable. Los precios son muy razonables para una gran calidad y frescura de la comida! ¡Definitivamente lo recomendamos! ¡Al final de nuestra cena, nos dieron una botella de vino croata para llevarla a casa! : ) ¡Volveremos!

Ja es gibt sie noch, zumindest in Leipzig, Speisekarte erscheint wie bei den guten alten jugoslawischen Restaurants in den 80 ern, viel Fleisch mit Pommes und Djuwetsch Reis in durchweg guter Qualität.

Hi. Meine Freundin und ich besuchten eher zufällig das Konobe Laterne im Januar 2019. Wir waren im Juli 18 in Kroatien im Urlaub und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Und auch das "Laterna" konnte bedenkenlos überzeugen. Ich hatte gegrillte Dorade mit Blattspinat. Meine Freundin klassische Chivapchichi mit Tomatenreis. Es war köstlich. Ebenso ist das Personal sehr freundlich und das Restaurant optisch sehr gut eingerichtet. Daher meine unbedingte Empfehlung wenn es in Leipzig etwas Kroatisches sein soll.

Das andere Gericht war der "Steak-Teller". Rindefhüftsteak, Puten- und ein Hacksteak (Pljeskavica). Dazu gab es eine Backkartoffel und auch Djuwecreis sowie Salat (2-). Zum Abschluss gönnten wir uns einen Erdbeerbecher mit Vanille Eis und Sahne (2). Zu empfehlen. Wir waren für zwei Tage in Leipzig und hatten die Adresse über das Internet recherchiert.
