We had a great evening and even though we arrived 15 minutes before closing time we were welcomed with open arms. The food was great! They were the best cevapcici we ate in Germany! We would love to come back! Thanks again! Pozdrav ;)

The restaurant was closed even though Google Maps said it was open!

Due to the rating of 4.7 (!) we became aware of this restaurant in downtown Neuss and visited it yesterday, July 13th, 2024. The area of ​​the outside terrace made a disorganized impression. Inside, on the ground floor, the few tables gave the impression of a canteen. We then looked for the cellar vault in the basement, which impressed us. During our time, 6 p.m. to around 8:30 p.m., we were the only ones in the lower area! Guests. The starters (bread with aioli and tuna paste and olives) were great. The two grill plates we - 4 people - ordered for €38 each were varied. The pieces of meat were good, unlike the cevapcici and the minced steaks, which were soaked in too much fat. Drinks were ok and reasonably priced. Overall, we wonder how the rating of 4.7 came about. In our opinion, the rating tends towards 4 stars for the reasons mentioned above, as some dishes (minced dishes/rice) did not meet the high expectations.

Delicious food, friendly service. Nice location with some seating outside in front of the restaurant. Typical Croatian cuisine.

For connoisseurs of Croatian cuisine, the Konoba - Neuss with a view of the Quirinusmünster is a very good recommendation. The food was very tasty and the owner was very personable and friendly. Inside there is a medieval vaulted cellar, which is ideal for private parties and celebrations.

🇭🇷 Something different was planned today, but fate meant otherwise and so today we had Croatian food. Thank you, fate!!! We were greeted very friendly and were always asked if everything was OK. The food is excellent and all the staff is very nice. In order to try as much as possible, my sister and I always shared a dish. • We once had bread with aioli, sour cream and tuna dip, • once the Mediterranean vegetables gratinated with cheese, • once the grill plate: pork fillet, small minced steak, 2 chicken breast fillets, 4 Ćevapčići, skewer, 2 grilled sausages and croquettes, fries and Djuveč rice, • once Štrukli – fine Croatian curd strudel baked in the oven and • once the pancake with ice cream. A very big thank you for the extra water I spilled and I wasn't charged for. We can fully recommend the restaurant. We will come back. Today we ate at Danijel's Konoba. We were completely satisfied. Good food, good service.

My sincere recommendation.. I wanted so much to eat good kabobs in a bun, and now I finally got the chance and I can say that it was delicious, I am very satisfied and recommend it to everyone.. I plan to come back again :) same service friendly and the food arrived quickly, we didn't wait long, any recommendations :)

The cooking here is excellent. Almost everything is homemade. The meat is marinated in-house, the cevape are made in-house and the chef and owner work very precisely. Very hospitable and warm family business.

I can't understand the good reviews. The food was below average. The Plescavica is filled with Gouda. And the Plescavica, just like the small minced steak on the grill plate, has the character of a finished product. What chef chops his mince to the point of farce? The whole thing doesn't fit for the prices quoted. Better go to Kaarst in the old days. Ambience is dated but the food here is really authentic.

Very tasty and above all fresh food. The homemade flatbread and the cevapcici are great! The atmosphere in the vaulted cellar is very nice with nice background music. Prices completely okay. We will be back!

If you want those real cevaps, this is definitely the place to visit. Very friendly hosts, great service The food was ready within 10 minutes. All the best.!

Zum Thema Service man bekommt keine kalten Getränke wobei die aus dem Kühlschrank sind. Das Essen davon wollen wir erst garnicht reden aber ich sag nur eins was sollte das denn bitte für Essen sein??! Die Cevapcici waren so dünn wie ein Bleistift, dann war alles nicht gewürzt. Das erste und letzte mal dagewesene!!!

Unfortunately, we can't report so euphorically about Konoba. The ambience is great. The service is friendly and nice. Unfortunately we weren't that happy with the food. The fish was excellent. The meat dishes looked like they would come from a better chip shop. Taste ok. The fries were blanched rather than fried.

There were 4 of us and we had reserved a table in the vaulted cellar. It was still a bit cold, but that was probably because we were hungry. The menu is extensive and our special requests (please leave one or two out, but...) were all fulfilled. The Croatian, dry red wine was excellent and the ambience was right. We all enjoyed the food very much and we were full too. The Slibowitz at the end was also tasty, everything was delicious at the end! We will definitely come back. Thanks to the chef and the nice Danijel.

Wir waren mit 16 Personen zur Weihnachtsfeier zu Gast im Konoba. Ambiente, Essen und Service waren super. Klasse war auch die Live Musik an dem Abend. Stimmung war Top.

Wir waren heute spontan dort essen. Wir waren begeistert, sehr lecker gemütlich freundlich absolut zufrieden. Preis und Leistung passen hier absolut. Hier bekommt man auch Kroatiesches Bier🍺. Mega Wir kommen gerne wieder. Schöne Grüße aus Wesel am Niederrhein

Die Vielfalt der Gerichte ist beeindruckend. Hier findet man sowohl lokale als auch internationale Köstlichkeiten.

Der Gewölbekeller hat eine tolle Atmosphäre, die Bedienung war freundlich und das Essen lecker mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Der Koch kam sogar zu uns an den Tisch, um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung war. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend.

Waren zum 1. mal dort essen und wurden sehr nett emfangen. Der Eindruck im Eingangsbereich hat bei mir keine großen Erwartungen erweckt,war aber im Untergeschoss vom herrlichen Gewölbekeller beeindruckt. Das Essen ist das was ich von einem Original Konoba Restaurant erwarte, voll erfüllt worden. Total lecker und zudem noch hübsch anzuschauen. Komme gerne wieder und habe wieder Spass am deftigen Trinkgeld geben. Nach meiner Meinung dürften die Gerichte etwas vom Preis angehoben werden damit der Resaurant-Betrieb sich lohnt und ich in Zukunft nicht nur Döner und Pommes Buden besuchen darf. Excellenter Service - die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, hatte auf alle Fragen eine Antwort und war sehr zuvorkommend, das Ambiente war top - von außen sieht das Lokal recht klein aus und man erwartet nicht, dass man so einen tollen gemütlichen Gewölbekeller vorfindet, das Essen war super lecker und auch der Koch kam sogar an unserem Tisch vorbei, um uns zu fragen, ob wir zufrieden sind. Wir waren mehr als zufrieden und werden sehr gerne wiederkommen! :)

Ein sehr schönes Ambiente mit Kroatischen Flair. Essen ausgezeichnet und ein sehr nettes Personal. Wir sind aus 100 km Entfernung extra angereist um Kroatische Spezialitäten ausprobieren und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Eine klare Empfehlung. Weiter so 👍🤩💯

Schickes Lokal und sehr leckeres Essen!

Sehr nette und freundliche Bedienung ,der kroatische Wein ( den man vorher probieren durfte) war sehr gut und obwohl Schützenfest war konnte man auf der Straße sitzen und auch nur eine Kleinigkeit zu sich nehmen. Ich war sehr positiv überrascht.

Sehr schöne " Konoba " die ihrem Namen 💯 gerecht wird. Beim servieren der Speisen fühlte mich in Kroatien . Sehr leckeres Essen aus einer überschaubaren Karte. Preis und Qualität stimmen in jedem Fall. Der Chef selber kam an unseren Tisch und erkundige sich nach Essen und Trinken . Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder dort Essen gehen. Eigentlich 6 Sterne

Wir hatten einen sehr gemütlichen Abend in der schönen Atmosphäre des alten Gewölbes. Wir wurden rundum mit Gastfreundschaft und super Service versorgt und das Essen (Grillplatte) war sehr lecker und üppig.

Sehr schöne Location und netter Wirt. Doch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier deutlich nicht. Das Essen ist so einigermaßen, aber keinsfalls etwas Besonderes. Die Getränke werden nur in kleinen Portionen angeboten und sind damit maßlos überteuert.
