You can eat really tasty food here. I can't get the 400g fillet steak out of my head. Friendly and courteous service.

We were there with a larger group on a Thursday evening. The place looks nice, cozy. The wait staff was very nice, but had a lot to do and in my opinion were understaffed when a simple drink order takes almost 20 minutes. The food was very tasty. Nobody had anything to complain about. The portions were also plentiful. But the menu could perhaps use a few more typical brewery dishes. The selection of draft beers is also good and offers something for every taste.

The ambience is really great. The food is also good, but you can't order everything (I didn't really like the schnitzel) The burgers were the best and really delicious! There is a business card from Mon-Fri that we always used (€10.90) Because otherwise I find the prices actually very steep. There is definitely room for improvement in the service. It wasn't really cared for. Paying didn’t matter either. We often had to go to the counter to be able to pay. Had dinner at Königs today with 4 people, it was very full for a Wednesday. Service was very friendly and quick, and we didn't have to wait long for the food. Overall, a successful evening, we would love to come back. A big compliment to the friendly service, who was able to smile in a friendly manner even though it was so busy.

A visually appealing restaurant. We can't say anything about the quality of the food because we had to leave even though the restaurant was only 1/3 full. There were only two of us and we weren't allowed to sit at a table for four. We didn't just sit down, we asked proper questions. The problem: there wasn't a free table for two that we could sit at. The time of our visit did not suggest that there would be a short-term rush of other guests. The question about the managing director was also dismissed. It doesn't seem to be desirable for guests to sit there. Five waiters stood around unemployed and then turned their backs to us.

The food is typical pub and delicious. Dishes are beautifully prepared and served hot. Unfortunately, the waiters don't come often to refill drinks. Therefore, you should allow a little time when ordering drinks. Since it is a large restaurant, it can be louder. A little quieter compared to other large restaurants. We recommend reserving a table on weekends

The “train station hall atmosphere” sends greetings here... In my opinion, there weren't enough wait staff for the number of guests. The service was still nice and friendly. The food was delicious and the portion size was absolutely sufficient (yes, I was hungry...). I thought the price was reasonable. I have rarely experienced such bad service. First we sit for 15 minutes in front of our predecessors' table that hasn't been cleared. When a waiter finally comes and starts to clear away, he stops after the first two glasses, leaves his tray with the words "these guests were there before" and disappears for another 5 minutes. Then when he starts serving the people at the next table (who came after us) and the same thing happened, we left. Therefore I can't say anything about the quality of the food and drinks. However, the 1 star is still too much for the service.

The food is super tasty and the menu offers a large selection for meat eaters as well as vegetarians and vegans. In addition, strict attention is paid to allergies upon request, so that you feel well looked after by the entire team! A small deduction in the ambience because it is a little too dark for my standards. Nevertheless, this restaurant is currently sneaking into my top 3. The prices are fair (in my opinion) and there is a large selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Everyone should also find something to their taste when it comes to the dessert menu. Unfortunately there is no vegan cream there yet. But it is still the perfect place to gather a very diverse eating and drinking community. I recommend reserving a table as it is usually quite busy. This is super easy to do via Google.

A little more expensive but tasty, service often overwhelmed (as understaffed) but friendly. The atmosphere is cool, but cards and the like have seen better days and are often stuck, broken or incomplete. Otherwise you can go there for special meetings.

Once and never again. Wait 2 hours for food, then one dish is still missing. Ultimately the food wasn't a highlight. At least 1 drink was forgotten for EVERY drink order. The service blames the mistakes on the kitchen. NO ONE in this store has even the slightest claim to wanting to make the guest happy! It's sad that there are shops like this and they're still holding on... a very good example of how gastronomy does NOT work.

The food was average at best… the meat was (unfortunately) very dry and the food overall was quite mildly seasoned. The desert comes three times out of the box, but is outrageously expensive. Service was friendly but quite slow. A rather unimpressive experience.

I got a schnitzel with fries and salad for lunch, unfortunately it wasn't worth the price. A simple schnitzel with fries and cream sauce shouldn't be too difficult for a shop this size. The schnitzel was dry, the fries were okay, although I also had 1-2 fries that weren't even cooked through or were "frozen". The salad was okay but nothing special. I think I chose the wrong food, the people who ate there looked really great. Unfortunately, the waiting time was really long, but that was to be expected when there are so few waiters at lunchtime. (I counted 3). The store is well decorated and looks really inviting, but it really doesn't have to be a schnitzel with fries and salad for €18 😂

A classic brewery house. During the week there are 5 inexpensive, hearty dishes. These are properly prepared and you will always be full.

Unfortunately I can't rate the food because I didn't get it. Unfortunately the service was understaffed. You can't blame the staff, the place was packed and there were only 4 employees. Drinks took forever and so did the food. I waited for over 2 hours and there was no food in sight. Absolutely underground.

We ate there on the holiday (October 3rd) with the family (8 people) from Italy and were very disappointed!!!!!! As is almost always the case, the restaurant was very full but totally understaffed. Only 4 people had to work through everything and did their best for the guests. We therefore had to wait a long time until we could order and then eventually eat. The food was almost inedible!!!! The fried potatoes were very limp and not fresh from the pan. But Original Wiener Schnitzel had nothing to do with an “original”. It started with the breading that went smoothly over the schnitzel!!!!! There were exactly 5 (!!!!!) pieces of chicken breast in the potato chicken pan. When I asked, I had to reorder a bowl of meat for €8!!! 250 € bill and no one had eaten. There was also dissatisfaction at the neighboring tables. Here the owner is required to quickly return to the well-known good quality, otherwise I see black for this once very good restaurant.

We ate in the restaurant with 8 people on October 3rd, 2024, we were very disappointed, the food didn't taste good, it was very dry, and 4 people had stomach ache afterwards. Actually okay restaurant. But cocktails are simply expensive. And you get 70% ice cream instead of cocktails. To the owner and employees: learn from this and give fair portions for such high prices. It is more expensive to defraud people with such practices than to provide honest service. Remember: good stories are shared twice on average and bad stories are shared 11 times.

I was there today at 2/3 p.m. and would prefer not to give a star at all! After just a few seconds, an unfriendly employee made it clear to us that we were not wanted! We then went to another restaurant where we were served very nicely. We'll never go to the pub again!!!

Typical Koenig Restaurant. The furnishings range between rustic and modern. You can like it, but you don't have to. The food was good, the portions are also quite large. The prices for the food correspond to the current situation. However, I think the price of €24.90 for an original Wienerschnitzel without any side dishes is too high. You can get this in comparable restaurants at this price with extensive side dishes. The friendliness of the service is limited. During our stay we had to deal with three different waitresses, which I don't think is that exciting.

Leider wird die Gaststätte als König Pilsener Haus ihrem Namen nicht gerecht. Ein so schlecht gezapftes Pils Serviere ich nicht Mal Zuhause meinen Gästen. Und das gieße ich aus der Flasche ein. Keine samtige Krone welche den Glasrand nicht Mal übersteigt, leider kein Trinkgeld.

Wir besuchten das Restaurant mit einer Reisegruppe von 50 Personen. Da wir das Essen im Voraus telef. bestellt hatten (4 Gerichte zur Auswahl) wurde sehr zügig serviert. Wir wurden vom Personal sehr freundlich empfangen und zuvorkommend bedient. Die Qualität des Essens war hervorragend und die Menge mehr als genug. Alle waren sehr zufrieden.

Really great restaurant with a view of the inner harbor. I highly recommend the schnitzel with beer pepper sauce and fries. Comes with side salad. Add a König Pilsener and everything is perfectly rounded off. A visit is worth it 😊

The food was okay, the meat was too dry, the side dishes were tasty but unfortunately there was a bit of a lack of spices. The quantity was more than plentiful. The waitresses were nice and accommodating, the waiting time was completely fine. The ambience by the water was very nice.

Het eten was goed. En daar is alles mee gezegd want wat we hier mee maakten hebben we nog nooit beleefd! Wat een slechte zaak qua bediening! Eerst buiten een drankje gedaan om daarna binnen iets te gaan eten. Werd al meteen gezegd dat het wel een uur kon duren.. Dus maar weer een drankje besteld. De bestelde rode wijn, aangewezen op de kaart, werd een witte wijn. Deze geweigerd want was niet besteld. Het heeft bijna 1 uur geduurd voordat de rode wijn kwam, na 3x vragen ook! De dame achter de bar maakte een hoop stampij over de wijn, welke door hen verkeerd was genoteerd of ingeschonken. Mevrouw is totaal niet geschikt voor dit beroep. Een grote puinhoop op de bar, gezicht op onweer. Het personeel doet maar wat, weten niet waar ze de bestelling moeten brengen. En helaas waren we niet de enige die dit zo ervaren hebben, mensen zijn gewoon weggelopen omdat ze zolang op alleen een drankje moesten wachten. Het dessert zijn we bij de buurman gaan eten, wilden het risico niet lopen om nòg een uur te moeten wachten!

Terrible! The food was OK. Not exceptionally good, but not a disaster either. OK for the price. The atmosphere would certainly have been more inviting if there hadn't been empty glasses, bottles, etc. on various tables. The service... catastrophic. You had to ask for everything. Got there at 6:30 p.m. After 45 minutes we were finally able to order food, and after another hour it was there. Thank goodness our 3-year-old was kept busy. At other tables, guests left because they weren't served. A waiting guest dropped a glass on the floor. The shards remained lying there. The other empty glass and bottle sat there until the end. The staff didn't want to see the work. Walked past it several times. In the meantime we have already criticized the waiting time. However, not only was the criticism not accepted, there were even complaints about how long the staff had to work that day and how few staff there were. In addition, they would only have asked for the food after an hour and not after 1.5. We have taken into account the waiting time until the order is placed. The information that we were there at 6:30 p.m. and didn't get our food until 8:15 p.m. at the earliest was not addressed further. No free drink, no food, not even the mayo. Simply zero accommodation. Not only was the customer not king, but he was a troublemaker, the employer was also bad-mouthed by the service staff. We definitely won't be coming back!

We went there for dinner as a group. The service was quick and friendly and the food was good and the portions were sufficient. What wasn't good is that there was a glass shard in my salad about 1 cm long and 2 mm wide. I called the waitress, she showed it in the kitchen and all she apologized for was it. You can't explain how the splinter got in there. I still had to pay the full price!

On June 9th, 24, I made a reservation for our group of 27 people by email for August 17th, 24th, 5:00 p.m. The managing director asked to confirm it again a week before the appointment. I did that. The number of people was reduced to 22 people. This was also confirmed by the managing director via email. He wrote...going to a restaurant is like an evening at the theater...something special. Reservations that are not canceled will be charged 35 euros (no show fee). Punctuality would be very important. On August 17, 2024, fate took its course. We were on time at 4:45 p.m. At 5:20 p.m., our group was assigned a table. We were able to place our order at 5:45 p.m. At 6:15 p.m. two starters arrived. After that nothing more happened. We asked the staff several times...no response. I asked again around 7:00 p.m. but had no result. At around 7:30 p.m., an employee said there was a transmission error between service and the kitchen. It was now 8:00 p.m. Our bus was ready to be picked up. Return to Kempen. We had a nice day in Duisburg... harbor tour etc. until the fiasco in the inn began. On August 19th, 2024 I wrote to the managing director by email with read confirmation and high priority. This was not opened. Why? We, our group, have fulfilled the contract..YOU didn't!!! No apology..no compensation!!! Conclusion...once, and never again!!

I know the König Pilsener in Mülheim and that's really great. At least the same in Duisburg’s inner harbor. The choice of food was a bit more.

The food has deteriorated a bit since my last visit, but it still tastes quite good. Prices for a baked potato are simply excessive. The service was ok. But it's really nice to sit there by the water.

We were served nicely and had a delicious meal, but when we got home we noticed that we had paid around €40 too much. Since my grandma paid for a total of 4 people, we didn't really notice. At home when she said that she had paid €112 and I checked the online menu we only noticed it. I contacted them directly by phone earlier, the waitress was rude, couldn't do anything and essentially hung up on me. Too bad! But we'll get that sorted out

Nice location with good service and a nice ambience. The beer selection is great and the food was delicious. As ordered, the burger was medium and well topped. The dessert (warm chocolate cake with a liquid center) was very good.

We've actually been there many times, but today was the big deal. We had to wait forever before we could place our order and then we had to wait over 1 1/2 hours for our food. And unfortunately not everything was edible. One person had the schnitzel gratinated with egg and bacon. I don't know how long it was under the salamander, but it was far dry. I'm afraid that was my last visit there. It's a shame actually

2 out of 3 meals were good... The 3rd was too cold and the salad was completely forgotten... The service; a disaster... Waiting forever was normal (the restaurant was far from full). Basically ordering new drinks for delivery straight away and then still waiting with an empty glass.... At least you didn't discriminate or favor anyone... No matter whether it was drinks, food or the bill, no one got it. I didn't count how many left without paying... Seen in this way, the price-performance ratio was very good (at least for those who went) I/We, definitely never again...

The best schnitzel and the best koepi in Duisburg can be found in the inn. We were very satisfied again.

The salad was OK, but the plates weren't really washed properly. Some of the empty spaces on the top of the plate were smeared and the bottom wasn't really satisfactory either, it really spoiled my appetite!

Mit dem Service waren wir komplett zufrieden, die Lage ist schôn und der Hähnchensalat war auch sehr gut. Der Matjes und die Bohnen waren allerdings in keinster Weise frisch und schmeckten auch dementsprechend.

We were at the Köpi Wirtshaus last week with a group of 10 people and had reserved a table with a tap. When we made the reservation, we were assured that a fresh 30l barrel would be connected especially for us and that we would therefore not be able to spontaneously move our booking outside. Apart from the uncomfortable chairs and the rather carelessly prepared, not very tasty food, we were particularly unimpressed by the beer, which was too warm and tasted slightly stale. After we pointed this out to the service, we were assured that the beer would taste normal. Unfortunately, after about 7l the barrel ran out. Apparently we had an old barrel hooked up to us. It's questionable how long this has been open. In response to our complaints, we were ultimately waived the cost of the first liter, but I would still have liked to have avoided this experience. A Köpi brand pub shouldn't need something like that. I would soon go to another place that serves fresh beer.

We were guests in this restaurant for the first time on July 6, 2024. The ambience was very nice, the hamburgers we ordered were very good and tasty. However, 5 stars are not enough for the service. We were lucky from Mrs. Demircan? (I don't know if I remembered the name correctly) to be served. The service was very friendly and super attentive. Someone in our group had ordered a large bottle of water. Without being asked, she brought glasses of water for everyone. A service person who thinks like that is absolutely rare. We later took a harbor tour. I would like to apprentice the operator on the ship to Ms. Demircan.
