Great day trip destination with kids. Simple lunch options. We had the Maultaschen (swabian pasta). Quite a large cake selection (about 8 varieties). Indoor and outdoor seating with a great view. A great, large playground with a zip line, several swings, a large play tower with a slide, and a suspension bridge.

I haven't eaten such good, affordable home-cooked food in a restaurant in a long time. Locally sourced and cooked with love. The staff is very friendly, and the food is served quickly, so you get your food at the same time. You order yourself, including your table number, at the counter, and pay immediately. After eating, it's only natural to place your dishes on the serving cart at the entrance, out of respect for the work of volunteer members of the Koloing family. Chapeau, we'll be back.

Summer festival around the Aalen Kolping Hut. As always, very familiar and very cozy. As always, the food on offer was delicious and sumptuous.
