The chicken was just salted and peppered. It wasn't the best, although it's supposed to be quite good. Crispy isn't possible. I can do it better at home.

Wir waren eine kleine Gruppe, also habe ich reserviert. Das war auch gut so. Innen ist nicht so viel Platz, aussen war es noch etwas kalt. Es war Fussball, also hatten sich einige versammelt um das zu schauen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, leider hat aber die Karte im Internet mit der im Lokal nicht über ein gestimmt. Es gab zum Beispiel keinen Feldsalat mehr. Trotz beginnender Spargelzeit waren noch keine Spargelgerichte auf der Karte. Wir waren zu Fünft und einige der Gerichte waren leider aus. Wir hatten unter Anderem einen grossen Salat, der gut ausgesehen hat, eine vegane Gemüserolle, die auch sehr gut ausgesehen hat und zweimal Spare Ribs mit Pommes, die sehr gut waren. Ich selbst hatte ein halbes Hühnchen mit Brot und mir dazu einen Beilagensalat bestellt. Der war Standard, aber gut. Bei dem halben Hühnchen war aber gar nichts dabei, das sah etwas langweilig aus. Eine Scheibe Zitrone und zwei Scheiben Brot und das wars. Zwar war das Brot gut aber es hätte eine Scheibe mehr sein können. Auch hätte es etwas Deko sein können. Da hätte ich auch einen Euro mehr bezahlt. Man muss aber ehrlicherweise sagen, dass der Preis mit 9 Euro echt günstig war. Trotzdem; sehr schmucklos. Die Bedienung und auch der Chef waren sehr freundlich zu uns. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Die Toiletten sind etwas eng, parken kann man unter der neuen Rheinbrücke und im Sommer ist draussen sitzen echt toll. Ich kanns Empfehlen, aber Schnickschnack ist nicht zu erwarten! Als ehemaliger Wormser find ichs aber echt gut. Es ist keinesfalls eine Touristenfalle, mehr ein Einheimisches Lokal. Kommt und esst was rustikales!

Yes, cozy and down-to-earth friendly staff. Even with a high number of guests, things work very well. Unfortunately, the good pretzels of the past have not been around for decades.

Preislich sehr aufgeschlagen, qualitativ stimmt es auch nicht mehr leider. Hähnchen kleiner, teils trocken oder auch mal nicht ganz durch. Pommesportionen werden zusammen in einer Schüssel serviert, so unterm Strich weniger wie separat, aber einzel abgerechnet. Salat ist Convenience. Getränke muss man selbst holen und getrennt bezahlen. Schade, früher war es deutlich besser.

I'm absolutely tired of reading comments like "You have to get your own drinks" or "Hendl used to be bigger"! You'd better go home, stand in your kitchen and let your neighbor serve you food!!! For just under €9 a "peppery, crispy" chicken without, for just under €15 with a huge portion of fries and a delicious mixed salad...! Food is served! Plus a nice place on the banks of the Rhine...and friendly staff... One can only envy “the Wormsers” for such a great offer..

Hab absolut keine Lust mehr, Kommentare wie "Getränke muss man selbst holen" oder "Hendl war mal größer" zu lesen ! Geh' besser nach Hause , stell' Dich in Deine Küche und lass' Dir das Essen von Deinem Nachbar servieren!!! Für knapp € 9 ein "pfeffriges,knuspriges" Hendl ohne, für knapp € 15 mit riesen Portion Pommes und einem leckeren Gemischten Salat...! Essen wird serviert! Dazu ein schöner Platz am Rheinufer...und freundliches Personal... Man kann "die Wormser" für so ein tolles Angebot nur beneiden....

Eating on the Rhine is always something special. You can sit outside and enjoy the food. Employees are friendly and competent. Food came in one reasonable time and was good. Drinks good selection. Therefore 4 stars.

We had a reservation but arrived 30 minutes early, which wasn't a problem. Four adults and two children. The menu is hearty and typical of a restaurant. There are children's dishes and additional daily specials. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the service was attentive and friendly. The prices are absolutely fair for today's times. The daily special of sauerbraten with dumplings and red cabbage was plentiful and delicious, as were all the other dishes. Unfortunately, we were just passing through, but we can recommend it without reservation! Thank you 🙏🏻

I can only say that every time we were there with the family, the food we ordered was always served quickly and we were always served in a friendly manner. The food is delicious and the atmosphere on the Rhine is very nice. Whether in the morning or in the evening, it is always worth a visit and the prices are quite good.

Small, cozy inn on the Rhine, as far as I know the oldest in Worms. Very nice location! There are sufficient parking spaces within a radius of 300 meters. Friendly service, good food and a reasonable selection of drinks. The prices are moderate; the half chicken is well known here. Top location, gladly again

For me, Kolb's beer garden is a place of stability in our fast-moving times. We enjoyed visiting with our parents when we were in Worms in the 70s. What's nice is that the cozy Rhine-Hessian ambience with a view of the Rhine has lost none of its charm over the years. The fine little fan mile at the World Cup or especially at the European Championships is always great. Delicious food, decent food and service people who make my wife and I feel like we are in good hands. Stay as authentic. We are already looking forward to our next visit. P.S. And just don't take the "American" slatted plate off the menu. 😉 Ciao!

We came in with a reservation. At first we didn't get a table, we stood around stupidly in the middle and then one became free and other people went straight there. So we weren't shown to our table. I find that very unfortunate. The food, however, was very, very tasty 🫶🏻 A great meal for the money Would go again.

Best chicken in Worms and the surrounding area. I've known the beer garden for probably 35 years, but only in the summer and in the evenings to sit there and have a drink. Yesterday I ate something there for the first time and was very, very positively surprised. If you like half chicken...you have to go there.

Yes, the staff is nice, yes the location is great, yes all in all it's fine. Now comes the but: if I want to eat convenient food, I can make it at home. I had a vegetable strudel that was definitely not homemade. The fries are cheap fries like you get at McDonald’s. My son's cordon bleu was actually from the kitchen, but potato salad etc. was all convenient food. It's really sad what today's gastronomy allows and at this price. The two of us paid €40. For putting some whirlpool into the microphone? Sorry, I'd rather make my own food and not go out. For this reason I can only partially recommend the restaurant. Sure to go for a drink. Maybe a piece of cake. Yes, the pollack was freshly made, you could see that, but the side dishes were all convenient food. In my opinion this has nothing to do with gastronomy and that's why I only give it two stars. If you want convenient food, please do so at reasonable prices. Otherwise I don't feel like it. This is my honest feedback and opinion. I'm sorry if I'm troubling the restaurant. But then please make real food with the prices!

The beer garden on the banks of the Rhine was really nice and relaxed the food was delicious, especially the traditional dishes were well prepared the staff was very friendly and helpful there is a very pleasant atmosphere and the view of the river is great a perfect place to relax

I'm really sad, what's wrong, the chef has changed. I'm not saying this to complain. We've been stopping by on the way to vacation for at least 10 years because there wasn't better chicken anywhere. Chicken no longer has as much meat, seasoned differently and differently than usual. We also had schnitzel and every housewife can do it better. I would say now, out of the bag. Very unfortunate. Salad is no longer comparable. I hope Day changes again, because it would be a real shame

Everything was good. We were a little disappointed that the weather wouldn't allow us to sit outside. They have a very nice garden. The food was very good.

Goose, completely dry, not fried that day. Maybe pre-cooked days before and then warmed up. Regardless of the poor quality, it wasn't worth a price of 0 euros.

Super friendly service team. Food was quite good except for the bratwurst. Nothing to complain about in terms of taste. But the skin was so hard that it was almost impossible to eat. I just changed the sauerkraut for red cabbage.

The restaurant was recommended to us by a local. It is located directly on the Rhine and offers down-to-earth cuisine. Very rustic inside - it was full here, which is why we sat in the beer garden. The staff was extremely friendly! The food was okay, we think a lot of it was canned. But all in all a recommendation!

Was asked to delete the review several times. But it's the truth 😀 Because of "customer is king"... schnitzel with fries was ordered and it wasn't finished. Waitress argues with me that it's probably done and makes me look stupid (woman with shoulder-length brown hair). Then gossips about me to her colleagues in my field of vision. Call another waitress and she brings me new schnitzel, no apology or any word. This time the fries weren't cooked through. Again no apology and not when paying anyway. Never again!

You have to buy and pay for drinks outside, and you can order food from the friendly staff.

The service was very quick and tried to please everyone. The food is completely OK and tasty for the price. When it's really hot, you can sit in the shade under the plane trees.

Kolb's beer garden is Worms culture! And it's been longer than I've been alive!

Once and never again. Worst restaurant in Worms. Inedible food, finished products are only used, salad soggy, schnitzel greasy and not fried, carelessly prepared, poor service, impossible and cheeky tone from the boss when there are complaints. Dirty cutlery, dirty plates. I had to give one star as a review otherwise I wouldn't have been able to write anything. For me and our extended family they deserve 0 stars. The salad was already dark, i.e. a few days old. We will never enter the restaurant again and I can advise everyone not to.

There could also be 6 stars here. Food and drinks were very good and decent across the board, at quite reasonable prices. Service is very warm and attentive, the location is unbeatable. If you're in Worms, then definitely go there!

If you eat half a chicken with bread, the portion is fine. But as soon as you order with fries, we order half the chicken smaller. Something like that doesn't work!

Because this beer garden is so close to the bridge, you don't even notice it anymore. The shop is highly sought after, which we didn't know, but the service seated us quickly. If you share the table, it's firstly helpful and secondly you come into contact with locals, who make up the audience. You get your own drinks from the booth and the service takes care of the rest. The food was good. You sit directly on the Rhine, on the promenade. Nice.

As nice as it is to be able to sit and dine directly on the banks of the Rhine in a classic beer garden atmosphere... the leaves and pigeon droppings that, with a bit of luck, end up next to your plate are just as annoying - parasols could help here. Attention: Drinks are only available outside in self-service!

Sit outside. Order crispy chicken or sausage salad and enjoy. The chicken is phenomenal and second to none. Highly recommended and always very good.

Ambience very cool. Food totally over salted. The salad is a disgrace for the price. Otherwise you just pay for someone to heat up the finished products and put them on a plate. Too bad.

I was there today, at least briefly. I find some of the staff unfriendly and you have to look for them. That's why the price and performance are not right for me. We then went to the Italian restaurant where the staff was friendly.

Cozy beer garden in the old style. We didn't eat anything because we were only there in the afternoon. Self-service drinks. Of course there was water for the dogs. Very sweet ♥️
