Old hard fries with chicken, thank you never again.

Very cozy inn. Food delicious. We particularly recommend crispy chicken. Beer garden under plane trees very pleasant on hot sunny days. Highly recommended.

Was asked to delete the review several times. But it's the truth 😀 Because of "customer is king"... schnitzel with fries was ordered and it wasn't finished. Waitress argues with me that it's probably done and makes me look stupid (woman with shoulder-length brown hair). Then gossips about me to her colleagues in my field of vision. Call another waitress and she brings me new schnitzel, no apology or any word. This time the fries weren't cooked through. Again no apology and not when paying anyway. Never again!

You have to buy and pay for drinks outside, and you can order food from the friendly staff.

The service was very quick and tried to please everyone. The food is completely OK and tasty for the price. When it's really hot, you can sit in the shade under the plane trees.

Kolb's beer garden is Worms culture! And it's been longer than I've been alive!

Once and never again. Worst restaurant in Worms. Inedible food, finished products are only used, salad soggy, schnitzel greasy and not fried, carelessly prepared, poor service, impossible and cheeky tone from the boss when there are complaints. Dirty cutlery, dirty plates. I had to give one star as a review otherwise I wouldn't have been able to write anything. For me and our extended family they deserve 0 stars. The salad was already dark, i.e. a few days old. We will never enter the restaurant again and I can advise everyone not to.

There could also be 6 stars here. Food and drinks were very good and decent across the board, at quite reasonable prices. Service is very warm and attentive, the location is unbeatable. If you're in Worms, then definitely go there!

If you eat half a chicken with bread, the portion is fine. But as soon as you order with fries, we order half the chicken smaller. Something like that doesn't work!

Because this beer garden is so close to the bridge, you don't even notice it anymore. The shop is highly sought after, which we didn't know, but the service seated us quickly. If you share the table, it's firstly helpful and secondly you come into contact with locals, who make up the audience. You get your own drinks from the booth and the service takes care of the rest. The food was good. You sit directly on the Rhine, on the promenade. Nice.

As nice as it is to be able to sit and dine directly on the banks of the Rhine in a classic beer garden atmosphere... the leaves and pigeon droppings that, with a bit of luck, end up next to your plate are just as annoying - parasols could help here. Attention: Drinks are only available outside in self-service!

Sit outside. Order crispy chicken or sausage salad and enjoy. The chicken is phenomenal and second to none. Highly recommended and always very good.

Ambience very cool. Food totally over salted. The salad is a disgrace for the price. Otherwise you just pay for someone to heat up the finished products and put them on a plate. Too bad.

For me, Kolb's beer garden is a place of stability in our fast-moving times. We enjoyed visiting with our parents when we were in Worms in the 70s. What's nice is that the cozy Rhine-Hessian ambience with a view of the Rhine has lost none of its charm over the years. The fine little fan mile at the World Cup or especially at the European Championships is always great. Delicious food, decent food and service people who make my wife and I feel in good hands. Stay as authentic. We are already looking forward to our next visit. P.S. And just don't take the "American" slatted plate off the menu. 😉 Ciao!

I was there today, at least briefly. I find some of the staff unfriendly and you have to look for them. That's why the price and performance are not right for me. We then went to the Italian restaurant where the staff was friendly.

We spontaneously stopped here after a bike ride. The beer garden has just opened, but the staff were super quick and took all of our orders straight away. We had a portion of fries as well as a blackcurrant spritzer and a few drinks. You get your own drinks. The food is brought directly to the table and was very quick. The location is beautiful. You sit protected under poplar trees close to the water and can spend the day here beautifully, even on very hot days.

Hello We had been going to Kolb Biergarten for a long time. The food still tastes very good. Unfortunately I have to say I think it's overpriced For a salad 14.90 euros and a sour cider 5 euros, sorry, that's not possible for me. I understand that everything has become more expensive, but these prices are definitely too high for me.

Hello I think the place is very nice, one of the few rustic restaurants in Worms. The waitresses were all very friendly and helpful. But the food... Well. We had half chicken twice. The skin had taste, was okay, but the meat was totally boring... When I see the refrigerated trailer in front of me with the label "Chicken specialties" on it, I have to be very surprised... We also passed it on to the service, I hope it changes... Otherwise just drinks for me.

My favorite beer garden since 1980

It's just nice to sit comfortably on the bench right on the Rhine, watch the boats and ships and dream about your vacation. Of course, don't forget the food at Kolb, the chicken is delicious, but I prefer to eat spare ribs. It's a matter of taste, of course, but it's worth a visit. I go there often, especially in the summer when you can sit outside. Reservation is recommended.

Open all day when the weather is nice. It is believed to be the oldest inn in Worms. The regulars' table in front of the house is wonderful. Only 4 tables inside, outside is arranged under the plane trees (where pigeons nest) depending on the number of visitors. The stage (currently with a large screen for the European Championships) was still inanimate on Friday afternoon. A saxophonist played 5 pieces with the help of a boom box and then walked from table to table with a basket. I like the concept, it has something nostalgic about it. The man behind the self-service counter (in the covered part of the beer garden) is hard-working, has a sense of humor and enjoys his own music. The ladies from the food delivery service are attentive, quick and charming. The crispy chicken was huge and tasty. Draft hefeweizen (hence also 0.3 l glasses). A view of the Nibelungen Tower from the old Rhine bridge is worth it. You just have to do something about the mosquitoes. Moderate prices, we feel comfortable.

All in all, we are very disappointed and cannot agree with the otherwise consistently positive reviews. You can only get drinks by self-service at a separate house, the young man tried very hard to get along with the few guests. The beer selection is shocking for a beer garden, they don't even have a light beer or a beer from the region. Overall the service was ok. The quality of the food is at a low level. The crispy chicken they are known for was just that, crispy. Poorly seasoned and way too well done, tasteless. The mini pot of ketchup 0.50 cents, the farmer's bread carelessly prepared, no butter. The refreshing towel for your fingers is in the fat of the chicken. The pork loins are tough, the spaetzle is too cooked, the mushroom sauce is a huge mud from a ready-made stock that tries to drown the meat. The salad dressing 0815 from the bucket. The ambience on the Rhine alone invites you to come, you could do a lot more with it here.

The chips were served cold, and the so-called oven-baked feta cheese was just reheated, flavorless junk. The garlic bread was a total scam – €5.90 for a pathetic, store-bought bread roll with a dab of garlic butter. It's a blatant tourist trap serving overpriced, subpar food. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place.

Very nice terrace right on the bank under the trees. The food is brought, but you have to fetch all the drinks yourself. It's not so nice when you have to stand in a queue and the food gets cold. Unfortunately only frozen fried potatoes with otherwise great food.

For us cyclists it was a great stop under the shady trees and a home-cooked meal that strengthened us for the onward journey.

Nothing works without a reservation. Great location, food is good and German.

It was our first time here and our expectations were met in the best possible way. My wife had already had a craving for chicken a few days before, and in fact the chicken at Kolb's is highly recommended, I had great spareribs and both came with very good fries. The service is very courteous and friendly. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

The ambience is like a beer garden, so I can't say anything about it. The service and staff was very nice, friendly and good. But unfortunately the food wasn't that tasty, the hollandaise sauce was extremely watery, the fries were soft and that. Condon Bleu wasn't really tasty either and I don't think that's good for the price. But the location is very nice because it is right on the Rhine.

The staff is always very friendly, the price-performance ratio is completely right and the ambience on the banks of the Rhine simply invites you to relax.
