Small dishes to share. Was very tasty. However, the tables are a bit close together. I thought it was great that all the dishes were labeled vegan and vegetarian.

Not at all an authentic restaurant. Most of the cooks are from Bangladesh or North Indian.

We were there today :)! Unfortunately, in our opinion, the menu is not entirely understandable (the dishes are not very well described, half English and half German) and unfortunately we didn't fully understand the concept either. The concept is that you order a lot of small dishes and share them with each other (which is cool in itself), but the portions you order are relatively large. Not big enough to serve as a complete main course but not small enough to order many more. We would have imagined smaller and different things (as is usual in Asia), which is why our expectations were unfortunately not met. Otherwise, in our opinion, the price-performance ratio is unfortunately not quite right. The prices are very high compared to many other restaurants and unfortunately I personally cannot understand the prices. The food tastes good but is definitely not worth the money. We don't regret trying it but unfortunately we won't be coming back. The service was very nice and the restaurant was generally clean, although the toilet has seen better days.

Very very tasty! You can get Asian tappas here. You should choose between 2-3 dishes per person to fill you up. We ordered 6 different small dishes and all 6 dishes were 10/10. If you want to visit a restaurant that excites you and are willing to pay a little more for it pay, then you've come to the right place.

Amazing food and great service - one can forget that we are sitting just close by to the central station. I had the nicest beef tataki with crushed cucumber and I was not expecting it to be that good.

Young shop, young team, great quality! There were three of us there and we had delicious cocktails beforehand and ate our way through the menu, everything was very fresh and everything tasted great. See you soon, we'll be back!

Excellent service. Wasn’t sure how from the menu what to order but following recommendations from our waitress had the best meal of our stay in Frankfurt. Food was very tasty and varied, excellent value.

What is really positive is the incredibly attentive service. Big praise for that. We felt incredibly comfortable with you. The food is very tasty. I really like the concept of Asian tapas. The interior design is modern and stylish. Only the price of the food seems a little too high in relation to the size! Therefore (only) four very good stars!

The food is not authentic. No taste and everything prepared. No freshness can be seen and there is no trace of quality. Only the young waiter was very professional and couldn't do anything about the food. He should rather work in a quality restaurant. It's a shame about that.

Unfortunately, the taste is absolutely below average. Had the Karaage Chicken and Szechuan Eggplant. Unfortunately, neither was convincing. In addition, the price is very high. Unfortunately it doesn't convince me to try any other dishes here.

Absolutely recommended! Both the food, drinks and service are very good. There is something for everyone, and there are also many vegetarian and vegan options. In terms of taste, I can recommend the spinach and the boa buns! We'll definitely be back.

My partner and I had a craving for Bao Buns so seeing that this newer place had them is what brought us here. Definitely a cute Asian tapas style restaurant. The inside is nice and outside at dinner time during summer is a nice temperature since the sun has almost set. There was 3 servers attending the outside seating and each of them were very nice and had good timing for checking on us. The 3 pictures I took is what my partner and I split. It was all very delicious, however I will highly suggest the chicken bao over the duck as it had better flavor in our opinion. And the chicken karaage was honestly probably the best chicken I’ve had in all of Europe! But the only negative I have was the pricing :/ the food that we got plus our drinks came out to 56€ like I said it was all very good but some of the items for the size I think could of been about 2€ less, and or give the option of 2 of the same Bao for like 12€. But all in all give this place a try, it’s good food and good conversation/meetup spot.

Had an amazing meal at Kokumy! I loved the asian tapas style the restaurant has since it was super fun choosing between different dishes. The bao buns were incredibly soft, and the hint of orange added a perfect citric break to the rich, fatty meat. 🍊 The karaage chicken was super delish, seasoned to perfection. 🍗 And don’t get me started on the pork belly so tender with an amazing sauce. I could eat it every day! 🐷✨ @thehungrylizzard

A restaurant that surprised us. Super tasty dishes that were very versatile and whose taste you didn't know before.

The service was friendly, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was nice, though it's sad that it's wasted on a city like Frankfurt, which was filthy and felt unsafe. We read reviews ahead of time and knew it was a tapas type of restaurant, and our server advised us that they recommend 2-3, maybe 4 dishes per person and sharing, which is something we do a lot anyway so we get to try more dishes. We ordered Vegetable tempura, porkbelly skewers, soy glazed chicken with pancakes, chilli mushrooms with pancakes, Mixed green sukiyaki, beef bulgogi, and fried rice. I didn't care for the fried rice. It was spicy and I can't handle a lot of heat, but my husband LOVED it. I loved the mixed green sukiyaki, but it was hard to eat with chopsticks...it was very soupy. We ended up ordering an extra portion of the vegetable tempura. It was SO good, and my husband and daughter discovered the wonder of Hoisin Sauce. They were too full for dessert, but I ordered the Chocolate mousse with miso pear, salty crumble, and vanilla ice cream. SOOOOOO good. I don't think there was anything that we didn't like. It was all fantastic and there was nothing left over.

It really took too long. We had to get the menus ourselves because after waiting 5 minutes no one came. Everything was very slow. The food was okay, but nothing terrible either. Unfortunately the waiters were totally unmotivated. I came based on a recommendation, but it wasn't worth it at all.

Kokumy Frankfurt offers Asian food in tapas form. The dishes are small, but cost the same as entire menus at other Asian restaurants. You order several dishes + side dishes such as rice, pasta or potatoes and share them together. Which is a nice thing when you can try multiple dishes. The food in general was delicious. A little too salty. The location is in the drug district, otherwise I would happily recommend it.

I think the concept itself is really cool, offering Asian tapas that you can share. But the prices?? Sorry, €16.50 for bulgogi, a side dish like rice has to be ordered separately and then the portion is only half the size of a normal main course because it's just tapas? Sorry, but that's just too expensive.. Taste was good, and it may be good quality... But still... You can go to any other restaurant as a group and share two or three main courses and starters and Then at least you'll be full.

Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to give a review of the restaurant. According to Article 3 or 4 freedom of expression I can do this. My girlfriend and I almost broke up today, but this restaurant really brought us back together. We were literally in our honeymoon phase. We literally had oral orgasms because the food was abnormally hot. But it was a bit pricey, I wouldn't spend 9 euros on a few eggplants again.

It was my second visit to Kokumy today. Interesting concept "Asian tapas" :) As a foodie from Asia, i would always avoid the places where they claim they are "Asian", but Kokumy was actually good. It is very westernized, but still yummy. Good service is a plus, but in general it is overpriced. I would probably still go back for the bao buns, and my friends like this place.

If you eat meat, try the BBQ ribs with plum sauce. If you're a vegetarian, go for the grilled baby gem and veggie tempura. The food was great, and the staff were friendly. It's one of the gems in an otherwise not-so-nice corner of Frankfurt.

The food was delicious, but it's really not cheap and it's not particularly special either. The concept is explained to every new guest, which is very nice and is supposed to create trust: “They are small portions (which are not cheap) so that you can share the dishes more easily (and order more of them). Like tapas, but Asian.” Well. Unfortunately I can't judge how authentic the food is, but it looked more like a restaurant for the Instagram food photo clientele. There probably won't be a second visit. ATTENTION: The prices on the card posted and the card you get differ!

Excellent! We recently ate there as a couple and we will come back! The staff is really very friendly, accommodating and polite. The decor is very modern and inviting. Tables, floors and the toilet are very clean. But most of all we liked the food. Everything was so delicious that even a salad was an eye-catcher! Of course it's not exactly cheap, but taste and quality have their price, so I think it's appropriate. Definitely recommended the store!

Very disappointed with this place. Presenting themselves as a cool kitchen where a small salad that makes you even hungrier costs €14. I wouldn't have minded if it had been a tasty treat, but the salad had almost no flavor, unfortunately. The lemonade was also almost tasteless, we couldn't even drink it. The interior is nice and the service is also good. But I will never come here again and I can't recommend it because you expect a wow effect but get standard dishes (even tasteless) for a lot of money.

Reservation accepted for 1:30 p.m. only to be fobbed off within 2 seconds that the store opens at 2 p.m. No excuse, nothing! Awkward

Really tasty plant-based Asian fusion dishes that are packed with flavour. The portion sizes are small and one is expected to order 3-4 dishes per person and share with the table in a communal tapas style. As we were a big group, we essentially ordered 1/3rd of the whole menu but would highly recommend the black bean tofu, the schezwan eggplant, the dumplings and the tofu bao. Highly highly recommend!

Browsed around the internet a bit and then the decision was made: Modern Asian Fusion - that's what we wanted to eat today at the Kokumy restaurant in Frankfurt. With four people, we tried various starters, main courses and desserts. Everything was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! A real recommendation that we would like to broadcast to the world! We also took a photo of the dessert and wanted to whet your appetite: Matcha Crème Brülée - Chocolate Mousse - Tapioca Coconut Pudding

High prices and small portions. If you are very hungry you have to dig deeper into your pockets. But the food was delicious

Great food. Tasty and good vegetarian/vegan options. The veggie dumplings and the chocolate mousse were particularly delicious! The price is a little higher but it's fully justified and the quality is good. Especially suitable for friends who like to share their food. You had to wait a little bit for the service, but it was still completely acceptable. Top restaurant gladly again!

- Ambience ok -- The food is over-seasoned, we had Chicken Kung Pao & with the best will in the world it was too salty for me, I developed a cough. - The spiciness of the food is unusual for people with sensitive stomachs. (There are certainly dishes that are easier on the stomach, such as salad.) - The chicken bao bun is ok, you can try it. But it doesn't have to be a second time. Unfortunately we couldn't eat the Spicy Kimchi. -- the whole location seemed like "mass processing" to me -- the portion sizes are not proportionate to the price (e.g. 15 € for a "tapas dish") - The store was extremely crowded. Every table was occupied. - The waitresses seemed stressed, which is okay. BUT: When I wanted to have the leftovers packed up, the waitress gave me PACKAGING TO PACK YOURSELF without comment. Unprofessional & customer-unfriendly for this price. We were disappointed & will not come back. ‐------------------ CONCLUSION: Unfortunately I felt sick the next day. This fusion cuisine is not for me.

Interesting concept: Asian tapas to share. Everything we had was delicious. But I especially liked the Mini Bao Burger.

Negative experience not to repeat: First time ever , last time surely. They invite you to order many dishes because they are small, and they were too much to finish we left in the plates. Leftovers were also due to the fact that every single dish was too salty. Too much soy sauce. The bbq was burnt. They have recommended a cocktail that turned out to be pure yuzu, no alcool limonate. It is one of those places where you end up because you don’t find others available and you won’t go back again.

Wir haben leider 20 Minuten gewartet trotz Reservierung weil kein Tisch frei war. Das Essen war sehr lecker, wenn auch etwas teuer. Wir haben dann nach fast 45 Min warten unser Essen endlich bekommen aber hier war etwas dabei was wir nicht bestellt haben und etwas fehlte dafür. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich.

Viel zu teuer für schlecht umgesetzte Gerichte a la schickimicki. Im Restaurant war es zum Teil auch unerträglich laut, dass man die Leute am eigenen Tisch kaum verstehen konnte. Einziger Pluspunkt: Die Bedienung war viel präsent und hat sich um ihre Gäste gekümmert

There were 5 of us and we had 11 different dishes. All the dishes were super tasty and visually very appealing. The restaurant is really recommended, even if the location in the train station district is a bit unfortunate.

wir waren sehr oft im Kokumy gewesen und immer wieder was neues ausprobiert. Hier passt es einfach alles. Ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen.

Das Essen und der Service waren sehr überzeugend. Es schmeckte nach frischen Zutaten und frischer Zubereitung. Die Getränke erschienen mir etwas zu hochpreisig. Leider zog es an unserem Tisch fürchterlich, sobald die Tür geöffnet wurde.

But a tapa costs around €15 - so you can calculate where you end up at the end of the evening including a drink (cocktails €12-13) and a good tip. I can eat out three times in other restaurants.

Das Essen und der Service waren wirklich ausgezeichnet. Alles frisch und man bekommt Speisen, die nicht dem 08/15 Standard entsprechen. Die Zubereitung war wirklich toll, das Fleisch sehr zart und alle Speisen haben überzeugt. Auch das Sharing-Concept mag ich persönlich sehr gerne, da man verschiedene Sachen probieren kann. Das Einzige, was mich gestört hat, war unser Platz. Wir saßen direkt an der Tür, wo es durch unzureichende Abdichtung bei jedem Türöffnen sehr kalt hereingezogen hat. Außerdem stehen für meinen Geschmack die Tische deutlich zu nah zusammen, sodass das gemütliche Gefühl und die Privatsphäre etwas leidet. Auch die Lautstärke war recht hoch, für ein romantisches Date nicht unbedingt perfekt. Insgesamt waren wir aber sehr zufrieden und würden wiederkommen!

The two of us were there on Saturday evening, with a prior reservation. The service was super friendly, we liked the menu and we think the concept of sharing several small dishes is great. The food and drinks were very tasty. But I want to enjoy a meal in a nice, cozy environment - and unfortunately that's not the case here. We sat in the front area. It was super cold, the interior wasn't to my taste at all, there was nothing comfortable about it, the tables were way too close together... Conclusion: I felt like I was in a canteen and for that reason I wouldn't go there again. If you're going to spend a little more money on a nice meal, possibly a date, the ambience should also be right.
