The food was tasty but expensive for the portion size. My bulgogi tasted more like goulash. The cocktails and bao were very good though. You sit pretty close to each other so you can't have a private conversation.

Unique recipees and everything is fresh quality ingredients. You need to order 2 or 3 tapas per person (in my opinion 2 is good) as that is the concept and I definitely will be back! Service is wonderful as well. The place is a bit loud when full capacity. Grilled aubergines and beef tataki are top.

We really liked the concept of sharing. The service is very attentive and friendly. Great designed food and drink menu with just the right selection. Excellent in taste. A reservation is actually recommended even during the week.

Always enjoyed going there so far. Today we were a little late for our reservation, on the way there we missed 8 calls from the restaurant with the number we had given when making the reservation. The situation was very pushy, intrusive and unpleasant for everyone, which is why we stopped going there and won't go there again for the time being. Very disappointing and unsympathetic.

I had an amazing experience at Kokumy! The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful, with options that cater to all tastes. Everything really tasted very good. The portions are quite large and the prices are really reasonable. The dishes are aesthetically presented and the service is very friendly. The only downside is the feeling of lack of privacy at the table. But that's not a big obstacle.

Wir waren gestern dort zum Mittagessen und wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Bedienung war nett und essen war sehr gut. Aufm ersten blick sind die Portionen klein aber wir sind satt rausgegangen. Besonderes Highlight war Schoko Mousse Dessert.

Pretty good experience as usual. I will note, service was a bit slower than normal, but it was pretty full in the restaurant so maybe they were just spread a bit too thin on staffing. Food was delicious as usual.

We were there today :)! Unfortunately, in our opinion, the menu is not entirely understandable (the dishes are not very well described, half English and half German) and unfortunately we didn't fully understand the concept either. The concept is that you order a lot of small dishes and share them with each other (which is cool in itself), but the portions you order are relatively large. Not big enough to serve as a complete main course but not small enough to order many more. We would have imagined smaller and different things (as is usual in Asia), which is why our expectations were unfortunately not met. Otherwise, in our opinion, the price-performance ratio is unfortunately not quite right. The prices are very high compared to many other restaurants and unfortunately I personally cannot understand the prices. The food tastes good but is definitely not worth the money. We don't regret trying it but unfortunately we won't be coming back. The service was very nice and the restaurant was generally clean, although the toilet has seen better days.

Very very tasty! You can get Asian tappas here. You should choose between 2-3 dishes per person to fill you up. We ordered 6 different small dishes and all 6 dishes were 10/10. If you want to visit a restaurant that excites you and are willing to pay a little more for it pay, then you've come to the right place.

Amazing food and great service - one can forget that we are sitting just close by to the central station. I had the nicest beef tataki with crushed cucumber and I was not expecting it to be that good.

Young shop, young team, great quality! There were three of us there and we had delicious cocktails beforehand and ate our way through the menu, everything was very fresh and everything tasted great. See you soon, we'll be back!

Excelente servicio. No estaba seguro de cómo del menú qué pedir, pero siguiendo las recomendaciones de nuestra camarera tuvimos la mejor comida de nuestra estancia en Frankfurt. La comida era muy sabrosa y variada, excelente relación calidad-precio.

What is really positive is the incredibly attentive service. Big praise for that. We felt incredibly comfortable with you. The food is very tasty. I really like the concept of Asian tapas. The interior design is modern and stylish. Only the price of the food seems a little too high in relation to the size! Therefore (only) four very good stars!

The food is not authentic. No taste and everything prepared. No freshness can be seen and there is no trace of quality. Only the young waiter was very professional and couldn't do anything about the food. He should rather work in a quality restaurant. It's a shame about that.

My partner and I had a craving for Bao Buns so seeing that this newer place had them is what brought us here. Definitely a cute Asian tapas style restaurant. The inside is nice and outside at dinner time during summer is a nice temperature since the sun has almost set. There was 3 servers attending the outside seating and each of them were very nice and had good timing for checking on us. The 3 pictures I took is what my partner and I split. It was all very delicious, however I will highly suggest the chicken bao over the duck as it had better flavor in our opinion. And the chicken karaage was honestly probably the best chicken I’ve had in all of Europe! But the only negative I have was the pricing :/ the food that we got plus our drinks came out to 56€ like I said it was all very good but some of the items for the size I think could of been about 2€ less, and or give the option of 2 of the same Bao for like 12€. But all in all give this place a try, it’s good food and good conversation/meetup spot.

Had an amazing meal at Kokumy! I loved the asian tapas style the restaurant has since it was super fun choosing between different dishes. The bao buns were incredibly soft, and the hint of orange added a perfect citric break to the rich, fatty meat. 🍊 The karaage chicken was super delish, seasoned to perfection. 🍗 And don’t get me started on the pork belly so tender with an amazing sauce. I could eat it every day! 🐷✨ @thehungrylizzard

A restaurant that surprised us. Super tasty dishes that were very versatile and whose taste you didn't know before.

The service was friendly, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was nice, though it's sad that it's wasted on a city like Frankfurt, which was filthy and felt unsafe. We read reviews ahead of time and knew it was a tapas type of restaurant, and our server advised us that they recommend 2-3, maybe 4 dishes per person and sharing, which is something we do a lot anyway so we get to try more dishes. We ordered Vegetable tempura, porkbelly skewers, soy glazed chicken with pancakes, chilli mushrooms with pancakes, Mixed green sukiyaki, beef bulgogi, and fried rice. I didn't care for the fried rice. It was spicy and I can't handle a lot of heat, but my husband LOVED it. I loved the mixed green sukiyaki, but it was hard to eat with chopsticks...it was very soupy. We ended up ordering an extra portion of the vegetable tempura. It was SO good, and my husband and daughter discovered the wonder of Hoisin Sauce. They were too full for dessert, but I ordered the Chocolate mousse with miso pear, salty crumble, and vanilla ice cream. SOOOOOO good. I don't think there was anything that we didn't like. It was all fantastic and there was nothing left over.

It really took too long. We had to get the menus ourselves because after waiting 5 minutes no one came. Everything was very slow. The food was okay, but nothing terrible either. Unfortunately the waiters were totally unmotivated. I came based on a recommendation, but it wasn't worth it at all.

Kokumy Frankfurt offers Asian food in tapas form. The dishes are small, but cost the same as entire menus at other Asian restaurants. You order several dishes + side dishes such as rice, pasta or potatoes and share them together. Which is a nice thing when you can try multiple dishes. The food in general was delicious. A little too salty. The location is in the drug district, otherwise I would happily recommend it.

I think the concept itself is really cool, offering Asian tapas that you can share. But the prices?? Sorry, €16.50 for bulgogi, a side dish like rice has to be ordered separately and then the portion is only half the size of a normal main course because it's just tapas? Sorry, but that's just too expensive.. Taste was good, and it may be good quality... But still... You can go to any other restaurant as a group and share two or three main courses and starters and Then at least you'll be full.

Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to give a review of the restaurant. According to Article 3 or 4 freedom of expression I can do this. My girlfriend and I almost broke up today, but this restaurant really brought us back together. We were literally in our honeymoon phase. We literally had oral orgasms because the food was abnormally hot. But it was a bit pricey, I wouldn't spend 9 euros on a few eggplants again.

It was my second visit to Kokumy today. Interesting concept "Asian tapas" :) As a foodie from Asia, i would always avoid the places where they claim they are "Asian", but Kokumy was actually good. It is very westernized, but still yummy. Good service is a plus, but in general it is overpriced. I would probably still go back for the bao buns, and my friends like this place.

If you eat meat, try the BBQ ribs with plum sauce. If you're a vegetarian, go for the grilled baby gem and veggie tempura. The food was great, and the staff were friendly. It's one of the gems in an otherwise not-so-nice corner of Frankfurt.

The food was delicious, but it's really not cheap and it's not particularly special either. The concept is explained to every new guest, which is very nice and is supposed to create trust: “They are small portions (which are not cheap) so that you can share the dishes more easily (and order more of them). Like tapas, but Asian.” Well. Unfortunately I can't judge how authentic the food is, but it looked more like a restaurant for the Instagram food photo clientele. There probably won't be a second visit. ATTENTION: The prices on the card posted and the card you get differ!

Excellent! We recently ate there as a couple and we will come back! The staff is really very friendly, accommodating and polite. The decor is very modern and inviting. Tables, floors and the toilet are very clean. But most of all we liked the food. Everything was so delicious that even a salad was an eye-catcher! Of course it's not exactly cheap, but taste and quality have their price, so I think it's appropriate. Definitely recommended the store!

Very disappointed with this place. Presenting themselves as a cool kitchen where a small salad that makes you even hungrier costs €14. I wouldn't have minded if it had been a tasty treat, but the salad had almost no flavor, unfortunately. The lemonade was also almost tasteless, we couldn't even drink it. The interior is nice and the service is also good. But I will never come here again and I can't recommend it because you expect a wow effect but get standard dishes (even tasteless) for a lot of money.

Really tasty plant-based Asian fusion dishes that are packed with flavour. The portion sizes are small and one is expected to order 3-4 dishes per person and share with the table in a communal tapas style. As we were a big group, we essentially ordered 1/3rd of the whole menu but would highly recommend the black bean tofu, the schezwan eggplant, the dumplings and the tofu bao. Highly highly recommend!

Browsed around the internet a bit and then the decision was made: Modern Asian Fusion - that's what we wanted to eat today at the Kokumy restaurant in Frankfurt. With four people, we tried various starters, main courses and desserts. Everything was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! A real recommendation that we would like to broadcast to the world! We also took a photo of the dessert and wanted to whet your appetite: Matcha Crème Brülée - Chocolate Mousse - Tapioca Coconut Pudding

The price is a little higher but it's fully justified and the quality is good. Especially suitable for friends who like to share their food. You had to wait a little bit for the service, but it was still completely acceptable. Top restaurant gladly again!
