We visited this restaurant yesterday and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was beautiful and the food incredibly delicious – a thoroughly enjoyable evening! We'd like to particularly commend the only member of staff who did everything on his own that evening: He welcomed guests, served them, and even helped in the kitchen. Despite the obvious pressure, he was always friendly, calm, and positive – that deserves great respect! It would be great if he could get some support in the future – at least one more person would be really helpful. This employee definitely deserves recognition – and an assistant! We would love to come back.

The sushi was fresh and delicious, definitely one of the best I've had the pleasure of enjoying in Munich so far! The service was also extremely friendly and attentive. My only minor criticism: the wait time between courses was a bit long. However, thanks to the excellent taste, this was quickly forgiven.

Superb, delicious Asian cuisine. Quiet, tasteful, incredibly delicious food. We really, really love going here. Everything is so aesthetically pleasing, from the dishes to the decor, and the food is incredibly good. An insider tip that I don't want to share. But the amazing tea alone is simply fantastic. Fantastic sushi, amazing appetizer creations.

You can actually eat very well there - but what was absolutely disappointing on my last visit was the wasabi, which is no longer freshly grated, but comes from a tube! 🤢 This doesn't go with the otherwise good sushi and sashimi at all and gives it a completely unnecessary flaw - it's a shame that the owner is making false savings here...

5 stars for the food and quality 1 star less overall - a bit disappointing that it took such a long time to bring the food. But overall amazing food - best sushi and dessert was as well really good Interior was classy though they need to have a bit of a space bw tables. Will def visit again to try other dishes

This restaurant is designed perfectly and serves accurate and amazing food. The Sashimi fish was super fresh and delicious. The yakitori was addictive. The sushi was super. The reason I graded 4 stars is that the service was too slow. We waited too long for the main dish (more than 1 hour between first course to main course). The dishes are not cheap. Summary- Perfect food and design. Pricy and slow service. Go there if you have time and money - you would enjoy a lot!

Very nice and clean restaurant, with extremely nice staff. We were warmly welcomed. Wide selection of traditional and modern sushi and sashimi. Very good and tasty tartare. Everything in good quality. I can only recommend it for dates or a small get together. It might be a little tight for larger groups, but otherwise this restaurant leaves nothing to be desired.

We visited with our dog and felt completely comfortable. The food was extremely tasty - the fish in particular was fresh and of excellent quality. The price is absolutely justified for what is offered. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Chic shop with good opening times (lunch even after 2 p.m.). The Japanese curry has a lot of fresh vegetables (including zucchini and broccoli), the katsu is not heavy on the stomach as it often is. Very good quality of the ingredients, and a miso soup is available for free.

I did not have problems with slow or bad service like other mentioned, perhaps it was because the place was not full. My husband and I ordered two dishes that had some ingredients missing, therefore they were replaced for other ingredients without being asked if it was fine, very annoying! Food is okay but Overpriced and overestimated.

Ambience and customer service are great but there are limited vegetarian options.

Schönes Restaurant, leider etwas schludriges Servicepersonal. Auch sehr hochpreisig wobei die Qualität schon super ist.

The food was good BUT: a) It was freezing cold in the restaurant (problems with the heating). Ok, it can happen b) Waited about 30 minutes to be served. We had to actively go forward and ask to be served. c) Tables and chairs are very close together d) After ordering, it took another 15 minutes until we got something to drink e) too few hooks in the “locker room”. We found our jackets on the floor. That doesn't work at all d) the waiter was more busy with his tablet than checking whether customers needed something (were starving or thirsty) Unfortunately never again.

Winter is approaching and the AC was on, couldn’t be turned off due to a technical error. It was bloody cold, too late to leave and we had to dine in winter jackets. Not really an apologize or the will to move us when tables in the heated area got free. No nothing to substitute. That was actually a bit sad and super cold!

The service lady was touching the plates behind the counter giving their final touches before bringing them out without ever washing her hands. Not hand towels in either bathrooms, no soap in male bathroom and old sponges laying around. The service lady was carrying water bottles under her armpit instead of using a tray. Overall a real disaster! Don’t waste your money!

Some of the best sushi in Munich so far! Loved the truffle and tuna rolls – it's really too bad they'll be closed for the rest of my time here (the month of August). Service was excellent and price was quite reasonable for the quality

Having lived in Japan for five years and travelled extensively around the world, trying Japanese food wherever we can, I honestly say this is some of the best I have eaten outside Tokyo. Fresh; imaginative combinations and wonderful flavours. Very friendly service and also very comfortable. If in Munich, do go and try it

My experience here was that when my partner and I arrived, the server asked us if we had change so that she could give change to the customer currently paying for a meal. Then she polished cutlery for ten minutes before seating us in a mostly empty restaurant. They only have farmed salmon, no wild options, though I under that is pretty normal for Germany, some restaurants here do offer wild salmon. Overall the initial impression of the treatment by this server left a bad taste in my mouth.

Wir waren am SA den 23.06 mit 4 Personen im Kokumi und haben den Abend genossen. Die Bedienung war sehr Aufmerksam und hat uns gut beraten, das Essen (Vorspeise und Hauptgang) kam zeitlich in gutem Abstand, wir haben nicht zulange gewartet :-), die Vorspeisen wie Hauptspeisen waren sehr lecker, die Drinks ebenfalls. Wunsch wäre, dass es ein breiteres Angebot an offenen Weinen gibt... Ansonsten ist die Empfehlung klar: Hingehen und Genießen !

Overpriced for what it offers. Ok portions, nothing extraordinary in terms of flavour or quality but so expensive. It was empty. The personnel were cotrect and the place nicely set up. But they should reconsider the concept. Sushi fusion style but not quite there and edamame covered in too much salt.

Unfortunately, there was no non-alcoholic beer in the restaurant (which in my opinion is unacceptable!). Wasabi was not at all spicy and initially very little was brought for two portions of rolls. Sea urchins were not available. 🥲 But! The interior is very stylish, the music is pleasant and not very loud, so you can talk comfortably.

Unfortunately just mediocre sushi. Far from authentic Japanese cuisine, as the inside outs were clearly over-seasoned. The tempura wasn't fresh or crispy. If you're unlucky, like I was that day, you'll dine in the company of fruit flies. 🪰

Visited the restaurant for a first time. Even though the tables were not fully occupied, they still kept us waiting for around 5-7 minutes to prepare the table. I would expect the table would be ready? We ordered shrimp tempura as starter and one classical and one “etna”. Etna was way more delicious with a mild spicy sauce. We also tried the crepe cake. Unfortunately it wasnt tasty and even I suspect it may be a left over.

Food was good, but not necessarily exceptional! The condition of the toilet facilities was negative; more cleanliness would be desirable, especially with black sanitary objects!

The food was good, maybe a little expensive. It could have been a nice evening (birthday party) if the acrid smell of chlorine from the cleaning crew hadn't wafted through the restaurant around 11 p.m. We were the last 8 guests, the restaurant was officially open for another 2 hours. Our complaints were ignored, it was normal, windows couldn't be opened, it kept getting worse... at around 11:45 p.m. we fled with a headache, no excuse, we've never experienced anything like that.

I can only say good things about the restaurant. In our opinion the food was TOP. The price was quite normal for the excellent quality. The service and operation were very optimal. We were served very nicely the whole time. The chef came to us and kindly explained to us what our makis were made of. Basically satisfied and we can only recommend the restaurant.

The staff is very friendly and there immediately if you need anything. The food is excellent and you can taste the effort that goes into it. No matter what dish... Everything is artfully conjured up on the plate. The entire restaurant is lovingly decorated with all kinds of flowers and other eye-catchers. Definitely worth a visit!!!

Der Restaurantbesuch am Valentinstag haben meiner Freundin und mir insgesamt sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen war hervorragend. Was etwas ausbaufähig ist: die Servicequalität: Zwar wurden unsere Jacken direkt beim Hereinkommen abgenommen, was ich sehr gut fand, aber unsere Bedienung war nicht besonders freundlich zu uns. Die einzelnen Handtücher im Klo fand ich sehr gut. Außerdem war die Bestuhlung viel zu eng. Wir konnten die Gespräch links und rechts neben uns komplett hören und haben uns somit ebenfalls etwas "abgehört" gefühlt, da unsere Nebensitzer unsere Gespräche ebenfalls vollständig hören konnten. Trotz des extrem guten Essens würde ich für den Preis wahrscheinlich nicht noch einmal dort essen gehen und lieber in ein Restaurant mit besserer Ambiente auswählen, da gibt es in München wahrscheinlich bessere Adressen mit gleicher Qualität.

Even though the restaurant was barely busy, nothing worked. Waited 45 minutes for food, half of the food wasn't served at all but was charged for it. Despite emailing the restaurant, no response or apology was received. Unfortunately I can't say a good word about the store, definitely not worth a second visit! Overall, the evening was an absolute disgrace!

Food was good, but nothing exceptional. Service did little “right”. Bottle of wine - no tasting sip - no wine cooler. Sushi came, we had to ask for soy. An order was forgotten. A starter came after the main course. No music for a total of 4 tables. You could listen to the conversations of the other tables. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer right here. Maybe I'll give it another chance at some point, but for now I'm a little disappointed.

For our New Year's Eve dinner we went to kokumi - the furnishings are modern and high quality and I also liked the lighting concept, the food was absolutely convincing in terms of taste and visuals. The only thing that really surprised us that evening was the service. (It was our first time at kokumi, so unfortunately we have no comparison values) Various waitresses looked after us throughout the evening. When our water was brought, we were asked if we had ordered water. Unfortunately the food was brought 5 minutes apart, no information about what we had in front of us, no good appetite and no apology. We had to wait forever for our "last" dish (which, like all the others, should have come at the same time), but when we asked, it came straight away. When paying, I had to work with the waitress to find which table she needed to charge for. I was then charged for the wrong table, which I only barely noticed because the amount seemed unexpectedly high. Unfortunately, there was a certain level of incompetence and poor communication from the service staff throughout the entire evening. If this were the Asian place for relaxed Monday evenings, it wouldn't be as bad as the staff was quite friendly - but at prices like that I would expect a certain level of professionalism

I would like to start by saying that we had a lovely evening. However, there are a few points that you need to know. The quality of the food varies greatly. The soft shell crabs with dip were very good, but the gyozas were very sour and the filling wasn't very tasty either. With the sushi, the nigiri were very good, especially the fish/rice ratio. The spicy tuna roll was spicy, but you didn't notice much of the tuna, which may have been because the tuna looked very finely pureed. The restaurant is nicely decorated, but apart from the large table in the middle where you have enough space, the rest of the restaurant is so tightly packed that you end up sitting on your neighbor's lap, which isn't very pleasant. The service tried hard, but wasn't familiar with the menu. There was no coffee (beans were out) and no warm sake or sake at all. Overall it's ok, but for the price it doesn't need to be repeated.

Vorweg, wir hatten einen netten Abend. Leider waren einige der Speisen einfach nicht besonders gut. Die spicy tuna Roll war matschig und vom Fisch hat man gar nichts geschmeckt. Die Füllung der Gyoza war sauer. Es gab keinen Sake (generell) und keinen Kaffee (Bohnen waren aus). Dafür waren die Preise insgesamt sehr teuer. Die Bestuhlung ist so eng, dass man selbst als schlanker Mensch kaum an den Tisch kommt und der Nachbar ist ca. 10 cm weit entfernt. Daher werden wir leider nicht nochmal dort Essen gehen.

Really outstanding food - haven't eaten this good in a long time. Service was good and the atmosphere was generally very nice. But what is an absolute problem is that after the visit we smelled of grease and deep fryers as if we had visited a chip shop. My coat is now slowly odor-free again after about 4 full days in the fresh air. That's not possible for a restaurant in this price range/category.

We were already regular guests before the renovation. Since the reopening we have been a bit put off by the negative reviews, but after our visit today we can only praise the food and service, really first class. The ambience of the restaurant also looks great. Keep it up!

The restaurant has been remodelled into a very modern and chic interior space that is perfect for a date or an intimate reunion for a large party. The food is absolutely delicious, perfect in flavour and quality of fish, a hint of experimental and modern in execution. The service is fast and you are treated like a princess. Definitely one of my favorite hotspots in Munich, and a place a visit regularly for a soul-fulling dinner.

Wir haben uns von der Servicekraft eine Sushi Auswahl empfehlen lassen, die auch wirklich hervorragend, wenn auch etwas majonäselastig war. Die Aperitifs waren lecker und der Wein gut. Das einzige was uns den Genuss verdorben hat, war die Raumtemperatur im Lokal, es war so kalt dass wir unsere Jacken geholt haben und mit diesen gegessen haben. Auf unsere Nachfrage ob man nicht die Heizung anmachen könnte bekamen wir nur die Antwort dass die Lüftung ein Problem wäre. Wir waren nicht die einzigen Gäste die wirklich frohren.

War alles super, wenn wir nicht aus der Schweiz kommen würden, würden wir öfters hingehen.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit einem fantastischen Ambiente, sehr freundlicher Bedienung. Das Essen ist hervorragend, auch die sehr guten Drinks und Cocktails sind sehr zu empfehlen. Preislich nicht ganz billig, Preis— Leistung ist jedoch hier völlig ok. Ich komme gerne wieder.

The food was very good, though quite expensive for the portion sizes. Several items on the menu were not available, including no sparkling wine/prosecco, which as disappointing. The staff ways very friendly, though only one person was working so it took a while to put in our order and receive our food.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit nettem Service. Das Sushi war sehr lecker und frisch. Verhältnis Fisch zu Rice war hervorragend der Fisch war von einer tollen Qualität das Sushi gut gerollt und lecker Präsentiert. Auf jedenfall Empfehlungswert.
