Highly recommended .. Everything was fine. Except 2 small points. You have to go down steps to use the toilet, which is unsuitable for wheelchair users, and there are only several stools in the back to sit on. And unfortunately you can't lean on it... Otherwise very good food, very friendly staff. And very tasty food.

Had booked a reservation a week in advance with a time slot of 1 hour 45 minutes. We received an unfriendly, overwhelmed employee who then reacted in an annoyed manner. We were then supposed to sit down somewhere with strangers (the waiter said “he can squeeze us in with him”). Without us...we actually wanted to celebrate a birthday in private. Accordingly, we chose another restaurant nearby.

7 p.m. Saturday evening 6 people Reserved. We arrive at 6:45 p.m. and wait until 7:15 p.m. To then hear I can squeeze you in somewhere... When we asked why that was the case, we made reservations for 7 p.m. for 6 people. (We were even asked if the table would last until 8:45 p.m. and you also had a cell phone number) The answer came that that wasn't the issue and that he couldn't handle the pressure. Because this doesn't change the situation. Unfortunately never again. Then say you don't have room on the phone or own up to your mistakes! We recommend the BurgerHeart next door and got a nice table without a reservation.

I am very disappointed with my visit to Kokono Nuremberg. The food was really bad - the sushi and other dishes tasted bland and inconspicuous, as if they were prepared without freshness or love. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also disappointing, there is no music at all, which makes the stay uncomfortable and does not create any comfort. The staff also seemed to have no interest in the guests - the service was unfriendly and not very attentive. I cannot recommend this restaurant if you are looking for good food and friendly service.

Very, very great food, super nice staff who really take care of organizing places. Fast service and always a smile. In the end: not nearly as good an Asian meal as here. Price-performance ratio for lunch dishes is just ok. The ambience is pleasant, decorated with a lot of deco and good taste, but the acoustics are bad - you couldn't talk comfortably at the table. 4.90 for lemongrass tea is actually a disgrace when there is only hot water and cut lemongrass in the cup.

We traveled an extra hour... The sushi is not worth the price. Old rice, the fish just at the limit of the cold chain... some of the wasabi is still frozen... The waitress does the bare minimum and is sick, always wiping her nose on her sleeve... No goodbye or have a nice evening... Doesn't work at all... it takes a long time for the food to arrive... At the time we had a bill of almost 80 euros... you don't just expect a show when eating with dry ice... The ambience is nice but not only the tables should be cleaned but also the absolutely dirty radiators at the table...

The ambience/design is awesome. The food is good, it's nothing special (it tastes much better at a very similar-sounding restaurant around the corner or at other addresses in Nbg). But what really put us off was the impersonal and superficial assembly line handling. If you put the ambience before the food, this is the place for you.

We had to wait at least 10 minutes before we were even registered and given the menu. The second drink we ordered was forgotten after asking twice and then it came. The dessert menu wasn't brought at first after requests, only after a reminder. But food was great.

Wonderfully decorated Asian restaurant with friendly service, a variety of different dishes of good but not outstanding quality. The Kokono is located at the gate to Nuremberg city center, opposite the Literaturcafe and near the Königsturm. It is definitely recommended to make a reservation as it is always busy. The food is really tasty and good, but it simply lacks the creativity and uniqueness that characterizes few other, admittedly smaller, Asian restaurants. Furthermore, the dishes are sometimes already on the table a few minutes after typing, many sauces and ingredients taste a bit like “wholesale” such as the wasabi paste, which does not give the impression of being homemade. However, everything is really of good quality and sometimes spectacular presentation. Given the immensely high number of visitors, manual work may no longer be possible. The service is friendly, no question, but from time to time you have the feeling that you have to clear the table a little too quickly. The interior deserves a special mention, there are numerous schools of fish on the ceiling, the toilets, to which a stone-paved path leads, are absolutely clean, hygienic and well-maintained. In summary, a visit to Kokono should be recommended to everyone; no one should experience a letdown here.

I got take red curry here for €15. Unfortunately it didn't taste good at all. It was extremely sweet and barely contained any vegetables. Employees were nice. Very disappointing..

Really a very visually appealing restaurant and the food really suited my taste. When it comes to service, well… We didn't say we would make a reservation in advance. We went there and the restaurant actually seemed to be pretty “empty”. We were quickly shown a table, but it was “only” sufficient for 1.5 hours in principle, but it immediately gave the feeling that we had to hurry up. Food and drinks came quickly. I found it rude that we were asked if we wanted to pay while our drinks were not yet nearly empty. Some people might not see it as a big deal, but they would just ask if they wanted anything else, etc. But when it came to paying, it was an absolute disgrace. The waiter came to settle the bill and then changed his tone (not insulting but unfriendly) after you said you didn't want to give a tip. One was also greeted with a why? “urged” for an answer… It doesn’t work at all. Something like this should be tacitly accepted without any comment. It shouldn't be standard to have to pay tips. It should be standard that prices are calculated so that employees can be paid fairly. Or you can add a few percent to the prices as a tip and mark it visibly on the card, so everyone who works there can get something (including the kitchen staff).

Went there twice now for lunch with colleagues and we were thrilled every time. The ambience is very nice. The service is nice. The food comes quickly and a lunch menu is offered. The portions are sufficient and we all always enjoyed it very much. We will always go there. Really a recommendation!

Best sushi in Nuremberg so far!!!! The service was very friendly and accommodating, the food came quickly and, as mentioned above, was super good. Even if my picture isn't that good the food definitely is. And tip definitely try the special.

The food is amazing! Food and drink are brought quickly, but if you then want to pay or wait until the table is cleared, you will wait a long time in vain. We visited twice and both times had to wait ages until our plates were cleared away and, after waving in vain, someone finally came to pay... But given the top sushi, we would still come back again and again

The ambience and decoration was really nice, but that's the only positive thing. I was there on Friday evening and I felt like I was being treated like a high five. The waitress wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible, especially after we had paid, they really drummed up that we were leaving and the next guests were already standing right at our table and waiting. This made it not very comfortable and quite stressful. The sushi wasn't rolled properly and kept falling apart, making it difficult to eat. In addition, the sushi was not cut correctly and some of it fell apart when taken. I think you can really expect much better for this price! By the way, I can't recommend the children's menu either, as a little rice and three shrimps for €10.90 is far too expensive. Other sushi restaurants nearby are significantly better.

Good food and Ambience but the Service wasn't great because I just had a simple request for a happy birthday written and presented alongside with the food which was already present in their Google maps reviews(you can check) pictures so nothing new was demanded, I said I'm willing to pay extra for it as well , a staff told me only If you order a Dessert we'll think about it, I ordered and as expected there was nothing. No it was not crowded and I went there on a weekday. It's fine I understand they might be busy sometimes. But the thing that made me give a low rating for service was because the person who was taking our order made us feel not welcomed there, wanted us to decide immediately after handing over the menu and I just ordered 1 drink because the other person had cold and didn't want more ice (few fruit drinks have 70% Ice 30% whatever fruit flavor drink you ordered) the staff reacted in a weird way saying "just 1 drink", later they were making it obvious that they want us to leave. I would not recommend this restaurant if you're a so called "outsider" All good, hope they change this in the future.

So as a non-sushi fan, I ate exceptionally good Asian food!!! Super tasty, garnished with delicious vino!

This restaurant is really impressive on the way they manage to serve 200-250 people and still keep a good quality and taste. There is an intense smell of food when you enter and we were lucky we were seated upstairs where they hold the reservations. There was a lot of people all tables were full and the noise was intense. Food came quickly sushi was ok, seafood was above average , wine was wrong from what we ordered but got another bottle. Nice place for group dining and cocktails looked good.

Overall I love the food here, portion size, taste, waiting time. No flaws here. But I rate service as 2 star, we walked pass and decided to sit down. We asked a waitress if we could sit down, then we sat there with no menu after 2 rounds of waiters walked around us. We grabbed someone to order and we asked for tap water and was told restaurant don’t offer free water (so I assume everything is priced in the menu. Is that a fair assumption?) The service we received was dishes we ordered were brought to us and placed on the table. In the end, we were told the total bill doesn’t include tips. I said no i don’t want to leave tips. And there’s surprised stares , unbelievable tone and awkward silence. I hope the waiter realized when customer don’t leave tips, it’s because the service is below par…

Summary of the visit delicious sushi - but also very expensive. Small point of criticism: the fish roe tastes very artificial - it would be better to leave it out. Of course it was on the menu, but I personally didn't like it. Otherwise very good sushi.👌 What I think is very good: you can see directly into the kitchen - at least when you're sitting on the ground floor. I find it interesting to see the chefs at work. Staff is courteous and friendly.👌

Drinnen wie draußen in der Fußgängerzone wirklich sehr ansprechend. Der Service ist schnell und freundlich. Mittagskarte: Sushi. Der Fisch ist sehr frisch - aber sehr viel Reis, zu viel Reis. Das ist dann wiederum enttäuschend. Richtig gutes Sushi geht anders. Nach dem Essen haben wir noch Wein, Wasser in den Gläsern. Das steht der Kellner bereits neben uns und will kassieren. Wir schauen uns um, das Restaurant ist nahezu leer, es bahnt sich auch kein Schichtwechsel an. Den Espresso trinken wir dann eben woanders. Schade

Just wow. You should definitely have been here. The ambience is amazing. Totally original, cool and individual. The service was very friendly and quick. The food was absolutely delicious. The choice alone made it difficult; I would have liked to eat more. What we ordered, a seafood platter, was sensational. Everything is fresh and perfectly prepared, the vegetables are crunchy and aromatic. The Maraqua lemonade was also perfect. Price performance is absolutely right. It's better to reserve a table.

A bitter disappointment, especially for the price asked for the boring, overpriced food and the extremely poor, unprofessional and unfriendly service. Would never go there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The ambience in the pictures is also deceptive, but the service is really in a different league when it comes to dealing with the guest and good hospitality.

The drinks and sushi were very tasty, but they come with a hefty price tag. The lunch menu is a little cheaper, but the selection is significantly smaller and the sushi can no longer be selected individually, but can only be ordered in certain combinations.

They serve the most delicious high-quality sushi with passion and an eye for presentation. It’s truly an experience. The service is excellent, but make sure to reserve a table as it’s often fully booked. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, although the seating is a bit close. Nonetheless, it is definitely worth a visit.

We sat outside. Interiors large and over 2 floors - beautifully decorated. Food was very tasty. Unfortunately we didn't receive all of our order. A menu was swapped, but we only noticed this once we had already started eating. Sushi was very nicely prepared and really tasty.

There were 4 of us and we reserved a table. When we arrived we were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and shown to our seat. We ordered a platter of all sorts of sushi (intended for 6 people). When the food came we were very amazed, the plate was huge and had to be brought by two waiters. It was beautifully prepared and tasted perfect. This is how sushi should taste, super fresh.

Outside wow... but unfortunately we were disappointed. Despite reservations (which obviously don't matter), we had to ask several times for a proper seat that wasn't directly next to the waiting area for arriving guests. When we reluctantly got another table after some back and forth, the area around it was unfortunately rather dingy - there were napkins and a plastic bottle on the floor. The food came after just 5 minutes and was fine. Fresh vegetables and good portion size. The. Restaurant wants to give an appearance of class - for me it doesn't do it justice, especially since the table surfaces have been sticky on both of my visits there so far. Also: A little steam over the sushi does not make a good restaurant.

They brought the food very fast. It was delicious but they were also too fast to take the plates away and ask us to pay. The service wasn’t even align with each other. Paid once and we were drinking our drinks and someone else asked us if we want to pay. It felt more like they wanted to clear up the table fast, although there wasn’t a line! The food was really good though!

Very nice restaurant in itself. The food was excellent and 2/3 of the waitresses were also very good. However, the last waitress forced me to pay to clear the table so that other guests could sit down, even though I actually planned to have a drink. Very rude and rude.

Very nice surroundings and place. The service is fast , but not very personal and could be a bit more friendly. We had some irritation because of a small vs. Big bottle of water. Not a big thing but there was no understanding. The sushi and food was not bad but also not great. The mango was not ripe, the avocado had no taste. The fish was ok but could have been a little more tasty. Overall the price performance point was still ok!

Definitely on the worse side of Asian food options in Nurnberg. Inauthentic Pho, the smell is not right, Pho is not just some beef and noodles in random bland broth. The owner should remove it from the menu.

Beautiful ambience and food. Staff is still very confusing. We had to wait 40 minutes for our food and in the meantime the other guests who came after us had already had everything served.
