Good food, nice location. Just outside the city limits. But it's something different.

Exceptional ambience and always good food

We just ate at this very good place, and during these days I spent in Nuremberg, it was truly the best food I'd ever had. Out of all the places, I feel that this city doesn't have many good food options for someone like me, who comes from a cuisine full of flavor and has tried quite different cuisines. Honestly, it's a place I highly recommend: the service was good, the place was nice, and the food was delicious. We just ate at this very good place, and during these days I spent in Nuremberg, it was truly the best food I've ever had. Of all the places, I feel like it's not a city with many good places for someone like me, who comes from a cuisine full of flavor and has tried quite a few different cuisines. The truth is, it's a place I highly recommend: the service was good; the location was beautiful; and the food was delicious.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio wasn't right at all. The food was quick, but the service was unfriendly, and the price simply wasn't justified. It really annoyed me. I won't be back.

A truly fantastic restaurant with super delicious food! 😍 Everything is freshly prepared in front of the guests, and there's something for everyone on the extensive menu. The drinks are also creative and very well-made. 😊 The staff was extremely friendly and attentive; you just feel at home here. We were here two years ago and were absolutely impressed then, and now, two years later, we still are. Kokono is a wonderful restaurant with consistently high quality. An absolute recommendation. We're always happy to come back!☺️

Definitely a recommendation. Super friendly staff. The H50 Dragon Fire combined with the M29 Tatar Tuna was also a real treat. The Passion Fruit Mint Lemonade rounded it all off perfectly. Definitely worth the money.

The food tasted average and the portion was small, not worth the price. The dry ice was pointless and disrupted the meal. The food was served slowly. Will not return.

The sushi was delicious and there was nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, we had the edamame as an appetizer, for a hefty price of €8. When the plate arrived, we were honestly speechless. There were only a handful of beans on the plate, and the quality of the beans was mediocre. It's truly outrageous for the price. The service itself was good.

I got food poisoning from the food here. I was so sick I had to go to the hospital. The food was old and tasteless. The staff was very aggressive.

Don't miss this place. It deserves 5+ stars. Everything was perfect! Well done!

Absolutely fantastic Asian restaurant! The kitchen is open to the dining room. The dishes are lovingly prepared, even at the inexpensive lunch menu. Super friendly staff and really good food.

Very beautiful, neat and warm place. The staff is kind and helpful. Regarding what we got and ate (which can be seen in the photos) very delicious. We will definitely visit it again and will prefer it with my boyfriend and our company for more tests.

We were in the restaurant just yesterday and are so disappointed. The seafood and the vegetables were not fresh and didn’t taste good. It’s already the third time we feel indifference about the service and the quality. It was the last time we attended that restaurant.

It's not exactly cheap, but the food is really delicious!

Mass processing, most of the waiters are rude. You reserve weeks in advance, have to sit at a small table, and only get there for 90 minutes. Rude. The food is average. Better not to go, or not expect a lot. Prices are just about OK.

Unfortunately, the restaurant has continued to decline. As a chef with years of experience and worldwide stints, I know the many facets of the restaurant industry. Unfortunately, there's no longer any ambition here at Kokono.

Extensively renovated restaurant in Nuremberg's Old Town. The food was good, but we've had better Asian food. The prices are a bit high in my opinion, but that's probably due to the great ambiance. The renovation costs will have to be recouped first. :)

We got to watch them make all the sushi. Was impressive how fast they were. Sushi was amazing.

The sushi and warm appetizers (soup, gyoza) were tasty, but not a highlight. It was a Saturday night, and the entire restaurant was packed. Unfortunately, it took a long time for anyone to even come for drinks. And then the food arrived before the drinks because it was forgotten. The ambiance, however, is really great thanks to the very modern decor.

Excellent Asian cuisine and outstanding, freshly prepared sushi by master chefs. Excellent value, central location. Outdoor seating in the shade, cozy, visually appealing interior. Friendly, very attentive, typically Asian service. A perfect and relaxed dining experience. We truly enjoyed KOKONO. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the sushi is absolutely average and the prices are high. As is often the case in Nuremberg, the price/performance ratio of a sushi restaurant isn't right.

The food was amazing. We had so much to choose from, it was hard to decide. The highlight was the sushi with dry ice. The design is really great.

We felt completely at home and the food was delicious... The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food came very quickly, even though it suddenly got busy around 6:45 p.m.... We had a reservation and got the requested seat upstairs by the window... The food was very good and there was nothing to complain about... The only criticism would be that it was relatively noisy (a bit like a train station concourse)... but our seat by the window somewhat compensated for it... We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend KokoNo...

Very popular place with nice scenery. Everything looked great, also the food, but it didnt really taste that well. We had sushi which was fried to our surprise, and we actually didn’t eat it. Drinks was nice.

We had a really good experience at Kokono Nürnberg – a beautiful and stylish restaurant, where the details in both the interior and the atmosphere are meticulous. We were particularly impressed by the non-alcoholic drinks, which were both creative and fresh. The one we had with fresh lemonade and passion fruit was really delicious and perfectly balanced. The food was fresh and tasty, and it was exciting to be able to watch the chefs work in the open kitchen if you wanted to. It gives an extra level of transparency and quality. The waiters were friendly, attentive and quick to take orders, serve and clean up. You felt well taken care of throughout. However, it is worth noting that not everyone speaks English, so we were sometimes greeted in German, which could be a challenge if you are not that strong in the language. We thought it was so delicious that we ended up eating there both days we were in Nuremberg – and that is saying a lot! All in all, the price and quality are really good, and we left with a really good experience. Worth a visit if you are in Nuremberg and want good food in beautiful surroundings.

As a Franconian, you don't necessarily go out for Asian food that often. But you can't miss Kokono. Delicious food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. I'd happily go back.

There's no doubt that Kokono is a very chic restaurant – especially upstairs, under the school of fish, you can sit at the front window. The service is typically Asian: very friendly, prompt, and attentive. :) Both the appetizers and our main courses (duck breast with deluxe sauce and a chicken curry), as well as the dessert, were excellent – everything tasted very good and fresh. I've been here several times now, have always been impressed, and a good review was due. :) Many thanks to the entire Kokono team!✨

We were here for the first time. The pleasant interior and quiet atmosphere attracted our company to sit inside the restaurant. The order was brought quickly, but there were not many people on a Sunday afternoon. The food was delicious, especially the baked rolls and duck with rice and vegetables.

Beautiful location, great food, and friendly service in the heart of Nuremberg's old town. We've been there for dinner several times now, and it's always been a lovely evening. Thanks to the Kokono team. I recommend making a reservation during peak times.

No fresh rice, no fresh food in general. Tastes like everything is a few days old. I had only vegetarian sushi; I can't personally judge the other dishes; they had ready-made sauces and frozen wasabi on the plate. My companion didn't like it either, though; we're of the same opinion. The ambiance is very nice, but that's about all the positives I can say here. The staff is unfriendly, unhealthy (coughing, sniffling noses), which I find disastrous in restaurants. They just take orders and bring the food; zero customer service. I reserved a table by phone, but on arrival they simply assign me a random table without asking for my name. I explained that I had a reservation, but nobody cared; it's not that busy anyway. You don't even need a reservation; now I understand why that is.

The starters were okay. We ordered two Spezis, unfortunately, which were completely non-carbonated. The second ones were better. The main courses were so-so, but not to our personal taste. The shrimp were too fatty in the batter, and the duck didn't taste like duck. The waitress's behavior was a disgrace. We wanted to pay by card, so I rounded up the amount. He wanted the tip in cash. Unfortunately, we didn't have any cash with us, which I politely replied. He then quickly left with the reader, muttering something to himself. We didn't get a receipt for the payment either. It's a shame that people only act friendly as long as things go their way.

An absolute recommendation for lovers of Asian cuisine. A wide selection of culinary specialties, artfully presented, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. Friendly, fast service. Wonderful.

The service was super bad. The food was horrible. The price was super high. They said there was a 10% discount for picking up food, and they charged me 2 euros more, and I don't know why. They also didn't give me soy sauce. I don't recommend it; it's a disappointment.

The appetizer platter we ordered for two people really wasn't anything special for the hefty price of €10.90 per person. The sushi platter for €50 was simply overpriced for such poor quality. The fish didn't taste like fish, it just had the texture of fish. I was very disappointed. I definitely won't go there again. On top of that, seven staff members were standing next to us smoking, and I wasn't even asked if I wanted anything else to drink, even though my drink had been empty for at least 10 minutes.

We ate here as we were staying at the Congress Hotel Mercure in Nüremberg. The U-Bahn connection is superb, with a station nearby. The food was good but the portions were enormous. The service barely speaks English so we had difficulty ordering, and the waitress ended up ordering 48 maki’s for one person. The service kept speaking in German around us as we couldn’t understand German. In the end we paid 144€ for a medium sized meal. I would come here again if the staff knew how to speak proper English.

Very tasty but expensive sushi in downtown Nuremberg (right next to the main train station). We got a table without a reservation.

Delicious mango spritzer, tasty sushi, and coconut curry – the food is top-notch! There are plenty of waiters serving, you feel well looked after, and you don't have to wait long. The prices are a bit steep, and I would have preferred a few curry main courses in the evening (there are apparently a lot of them at lunchtime), but it's not the Chinese takeaway around the corner, but a pan-Asian restaurant.

I ordered steak and vegetables, very good, everything was delicious, and my wife also ordered noodle soup.

I'm here for the second time today, and I'm impressed again. Even though the place was packed inside and out, the service was very quick, and the food was once again fantastic.

Good Pan-Asian restaurant. Very well decorated. The service is very fast. I found the various courses tasty and unique. The rice with coconut cream and tofu is spicy enough, with a distinct sweetness. The bill is adequate for the quality of the food.

I was passing through and had a really delicious soup with coconut milk, chicken, and vegetables. The seating was nice, the atmosphere was good, and the staff was attentive. The price was reasonable. I'd be happy to come back.

Food was a solid 6/10, the food had a little issue ,the wasabi was stuck under a statue , that's why we didn't tipped much , and then the waiter waited for more money...Sorry for not tipping for something that looks like chewing gum.(Wasabi was hidden under the tiki statue).Also in the photo you can see the portion is smaller , and we bought perfect strangers (70 Euros), they can't even count properly.

We went there for dinner before going to the movies. I had curry with duck, and my wife had sushi. The food was delicious. The service was friendly, and the ambiance was okay. It's okay for a casual meal, but for a relaxed meal with my wife or friends, it lacks warmth and coziness.

The restaurant is located in Nuremberg's Old Town, and the first thing that catches your eye is the stylish interior (with impressive ceiling decoration). Particularly striking is the open kitchen, where you can see many chefs at work, stirring woks, and preparing sushi. And when the friendly waiter brings the food, the culinary delight begins: Beautifully presented dishes with great flavor completely won me over on my second visit.

Food was good but be very careful when you are paying your bill with a credit card - your bank will charge you cash advance fee as the restaurant's credit card payment device is transferring cash from your card not make credit card payment. This is the first time of over my thirty years of using credit cards when travelling around the world.

The restaurant is very nice, but the music and the people clearing the cutlery on the first floor were very loud. The tofu curry was okay, but nothing special and not hot. The sushi and calamari were also only average. The nitrogen-coated serving was a nice idea. The service was actually okay, but some of the dishes had already been cleared away even though one of us was still eating.

Several months in advance!!!! We reserved a table for Saturday evening! Then we called a week in advance, reduced the number from 16 to 12, and had the date confirmed! A call from the restaurant on Saturday afternoon? Asked again if we could come with 12 people! Yes!! And then we got there and there weren't any tables available? That shouldn't happen! Three couples had to move because of us, which was inconvenient for them and for us! Why make reservations months in advance? The food and service were otherwise good, but it almost didn't even happen! We wouldn't do it again!

It was very loud and expensive, but the food was rather mediocre. A shame, because the service was very friendly.

It was okay. Unfortunately, our reservation was forgotten, so other guests were moved around so our group of 12 could sit together. The aperitif with pistachio syrup tasted almost exclusively like rum with rum 🙈...and the sushi was, unfortunately, just okay. The accompanying guacamole was unusually (not deliciously) sweet. The atmosphere at Kokono is pretty cool, though.

Highly recommend this place for some good sushi. Made reservations here with some friends and we were all impressed with the quality of the food and atmosphere. It was a busy Friday night so it felt like they were rushing us a bit with service though. We will definitely be eating here again in the future.

There were eight of us at the restaurant. Unfortunately, one of the children couldn't find anything on the menu. We ordered a pizza for one of the children next door. Even though everyone else was eating in the restaurant, we were told not to let my son eat his pizza there. Impossible!!!

If you want to eat good sushi, this is the place to go. The restaurant is beautiful, the food presentation is very nice, and everything is delicious. The staff is very friendly. We didn't have a reservation, but the restaurant is quite large and can accommodate many people without sacrificing quality and speed of service. Definitely a very good experience. Per person, it costs €30 to €40, a bit pricey, and the portions aren't that big. But definitely delicious. See you next time!

The sushi was disappointing. The creations were quite unusual in comparison. We were really looking forward to it. The taste wasn't great, though. The rice dishes we had were standard and overpriced.

The restaurant is huge and was quite busy during our visit. The service is very attentive, and the ordered items arrive incredibly quickly. Thumbs up. I had the curry with tofu. The sauce was sooo delicious. Mmm. Unfortunately, the tofu wasn't crispy in the sauce, but rather wobbly. What a shame. Maybe they could serve it differently?

Unfortunately, the noise level in the restaurant area was very high, so we couldn't enjoy our stay. The service was very friendly and quick, and the food was served quickly, too.
