The food was delicious. We ordered roll-outs, which were fresh and scrumptious. We also had rice with chicken and vegetables. The atmosphere and service were wonderful. It might be advisable to reserve a table in advance, but we didn't and found a free table for three right away.

Incorrect work I was there today, January 11, 2026. But unfortunately, I didn't expect this.

This was our first time at Kokono, and we were absolutely delighted. We hadn't made a reservation, so we had to wait a bit as it was very busy, but we were eventually seated. Both servers were very friendly. The food arrived very quickly. Everything was delicious; both the meat and fish were tender and perfectly cooked. I especially enjoyed the salad dressing. The open kitchen allows you to see that the food is prepared cleanly. We found the restaurant's decor very cozy; however, it was quite noisy, making conversation difficult. But that was the only minor drawback.

The restaurant is heading in the wrong direction and urgently needs someone with an eye for detail to fix things. The food saves the impression – 3 out of 5 stars. Worth trying, but with reservations.

The food was excellent: freshly prepared, imaginatively combined, and beautifully presented. While the prices are high, the quality fully justifies them. We had a delicious meal and were more than satisfied.

We tried Kokono for the first time in January 2024. It's simply a place with a WOW factor. We had a lovely evening with a fantastic sushi platter and also ate authentic Vietnamese pho for the first time. It was absolutely amazing. And the restaurant's interior nearly dropped my jaw. It's always packed, so a reservation is highly recommended. It's a shame there's no dessert and unfortunately no matcha either.

Delicious food, a great selection of dishes, friendly and fast service, well-organized, and a lovely atmosphere. We especially appreciated the pleasant lighting, and the fish decorations on the ceiling are impressive.

It was wonderfully delicious! The service was superb! Even though the place was packed, they told us to wait a bit and that they would find us a table! The food was exquisite.

They used to have different tastes, now nothing tastes good at all. The staff are very unfriendly! They don't serve everyone equally, no one asks if everything is alright or not, they only make a show of it and give attention to certain people! Disrespectful!

Excellent Japanese options and value for money

Excellent food, you can find many interesting dishes from the broader Asian cuisine. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the service is also very good.

We ordered vegetarian food. The food tasted okay. Since the allergens weren't listed on the menu, we asked. The server said it wasn't in the food. I told her I was allergic and asked if she was sure it wasn't. She confirmed again. It turned out it was in the food after all (and quite noticeable). The decor is nice and includes an open kitchen. If someone dislikes the smell of fried fish, this might be a bit off-putting.

We spontaneously got a table for two. Super friendly service, the sushi platter was plenty for two and incredibly delicious. But the other dishes are also very good. In the summer, you can also sit outside.

Fantastic!! We are in town 5 nights and had the pleasure of eating here twice for dinner - once in the upstairs hall and once on the main floor. Both levels were equally lovely with the same beautiful aesthetic. We had the same gentleman host both times and he was really wonderful and even remembered us - such a kind, professional and fun person to speak with. The food (sushi) and drinks were outstanding and we would be here often if we lived locally. 10/10

Wow, the food was fantastic. The sushi and steak tartare were freshly prepared and served at the perfect temperature. The noise level inside is very high, especially if you sit near the large tables.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing sushi restaurant visits I’ve had. I ordered sushi that clearly had the word “spicy” in the name, but it was not spicy at all and honestly didn’t look very appetising either. Other sushi we ordered were better, but I still don’t understand why an item labelled spicy delivers none of that expectation. The reservation situation was also strange. We had a reservation, yet when we arrived, we were told we could either sit at the only available table next to the entrance on the ground floor or wait in line for a table upstairs. That felt wrong to me — when you book a table, you expect an actual reserved seating option, not a choice between waiting or sitting somewhere you wouldn’t normally choose. Service was minimal and not attentive, especially considering the price level. The wine was fine, but overall the experience did not match what you pay for. This made the restaurant feel overpriced for what it offers. The women’s bathroom was in very poor condition: no proper locks, not clean, the toilet seat wasn’t fixed properly, paper lying on the floor instead of the bin, and no soap available at the sinks. The paper towel dispenser also didn’t work. This was far below expectations and made me avoid using the bathroom altogether. Overall, the experience felt underwhelming, especially given the pricing and reputation.

Sushi and Asian menu with plenty to chose from for everyone. Fun drink menu to start your dinner. We did not have a tea but arrived early enough to get a table. Recommend getting a reservation in advance.

A woman at the next table fainted. Neither the people around her nor the waiters or waitresses made any effort to help her. The woman lay on the floor for an hour and a half. Simply appalling…

A good Asian restaurant with a pleasant terrace. The food was very good, and there's a wide selection of cocktails and dishes. It's a great place to have a drink on the terrace. The service is quite fast once your order is taken. The interior atmosphere is calm and pleasant, and there's plenty of seating.

Everything is very good; the only drawback is that you can only reserve the table for 1.5 hours. If it's completely full, time could get tight.

Definitely make a reservation; without one, you most likely won't get a table. Unfortunately, the service isn't as quick or efficient as you might expect from other restaurants. There's also a 90-minute time slot, which is a bit tight if you're relying on the staff, as service isn't very fast. However, the food is definitely a highlight; the kitchen team does a great job. Rice, curries, salads, sushi, soup—you can order practically anything, and it all tastes fresh and delicious. You can pay with cash or debit card.

There is a difference between being a busy restaurant and just being rude. You wait at the sign that says 'wait to be seated" to be received by someone who just asks you to wait outside without giving any instruction or giving an estimate of when you can be seated. Again there is a way to do this gently, but we were shooed out like some stray animals. Feel like the workers are not paid well. They look miserable and unhappy, which reflects in how they treat guests.

If you sit inside, the ambiance is great. Outside, it's loud and crowded. Food: The menu has no graphics. It's difficult for a layperson, or if you want to try something new, it's impossible, since you don't know exactly what you're going to be served. More like 2 stars...there are better restaurants.

The only thing we didn’t like is that our table was right next to a coat hanger , where some of the guests were coming to hang their coats and they weee not exercising themselves which felt a bit odd . Super restaurant can only recommend

We were there for the second time today, and it was fantastic again. This restaurant impresses us every time. The food was delicious and served quickly. The staff is super friendly, and even on a Saturday night, we managed to get a seat without a reservation.

The food tasted very good, but the service was extremely slow, and we had to wait over 45 minutes just to pay. Only one person can check out. The food, however, came quickly. What's really annoying, though, is the noise upstairs. It's impossible to have a conversation. The ambiance is very nice, but the sound quality is unfortunately completely off. A pleasant evening is impossible here when the restaurant is at capacity.

I like going to Kokono. Very good quality, friendly service, and reasonable prices.

The best sushi, just like my dream, the old Oishi in St. Johannis. You can't miss anything at Kokono. My favorite meeting place.

We just ate at this very good place, and during these days I spent in Nuremberg, it was truly the best food I'd ever had. Out of all the places, I feel that this city doesn't have many good food options for someone like me, who comes from a cuisine full of flavor and has tried quite different cuisines. Honestly, it's a place I highly recommend: the service was good, the place was nice, and the food was delicious. We just ate at this very good place, and during these days I spent in Nuremberg, it was truly the best food I've ever had. Of all the places, I feel like it's not a city with many good places for someone like me, who comes from a cuisine full of flavor and has tried quite a few different cuisines. The truth is, it's a place I highly recommend: the service was good; the location was beautiful; and the food was delicious.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio wasn't right at all. The food was quick, but the service was unfriendly, and the price simply wasn't justified. It really annoyed me. I won't be back.

Definitely a recommendation. Super friendly staff. The H50 Dragon Fire combined with the M29 Tatar Tuna was also a real treat. The Passion Fruit Mint Lemonade rounded it all off perfectly. Definitely worth the money.

Very beautiful, neat and warm place. The staff is kind and helpful. Regarding what we got and ate (which can be seen in the photos) very delicious. We will definitely visit it again and will prefer it with my boyfriend and our company for more tests.
