The chef's choice of sushi wasn't anything special, the coconut curry was good even if it didn't really need the pineapple chunks or the pumpkin. The Nana cocktail was tasty. The strawberry lemonade was okay. The dried ice was a bit unnecessary and splashy.

Very nice atmosphere. Excellent service and really decent sushi.

Unfortunately, I didn't like the food at all. I ordered fried chicken with curry rice and vegetables, but what I received was an undercooked, soft, pink-on-the-inside chicken. The server wasn't very helpful, but they were still very friendly. The price was also quite steep for the portion size. The dry ice was cool, though!

I was absolutely thrilled at Kolono in Aalen! The sushi, in particular, was super fresh, perfectly rolled, and tasted simply amazing. The quality is immediately noticeable, and the presentation was also a real highlight. The modern ambiance and friendly service rounded off the visit perfectly. An absolute recommendation for all sushi lovers in Aalen!

The food tastes absolutely amazing!!! I liked the variety of the dishes and in my opinion everybody can find something. The staff is very friendly and in combination with the kitchen they serve the food really fast. What I dislike is the atmosphere, for me even when there weren't so many people in the restaurant, it's kinda loud. At a specific time the staff will eat too. Of course they should but people are waiting on stuff and it's difficult to let them eat or to need something. Still i would recommend it 10 / 10

Really awesome sushi. We were there at lunch and wanted to order a set meal for two. We were told that you could put together a similar meal from three lunch menus. That saved quite a bit of money, and it was a true feast for the palate. Beautifully presented.

There were four of us at Kokono. On the plus side, we still managed to get a table despite it being a Saturday night, the crowds, and no reservations. That surprised us. I came here on a recommendation and ordered sushi. Unfortunately, the overall package didn't convince me: It was very loud, the seating was quite cramped, I found the prices significantly too high, and the sushi tasted no better than cheaper alternatives. The service was friendly, I'd like to emphasize that. Nevertheless, I personally wouldn't go back.

The food is super delicious and healthy. It's centrally located and has ample parking. The ambiance is really nice and quiet. It's almost like a gusto experience.

I can only recommend it. The food came quickly and was excellent. I ordered the surf n turf, and the portion was generous and beautifully presented. The staff are very polite. Ahmed is probably the best bartender I've met in a long time. I'll be back.

Eight of us were there for a birthday dinner – the food was outstanding, no question. Fresh, beautifully presented, and truly delicious. The kitchen knows what it's doing. But what good is the best food if the rest of the evening spoils your appetite? Even upon arrival, the wait was long before the waiter even showed up. The noise level in the restaurant was extreme – it was almost impossible to communicate without shouting at each other. Instead of a cozy atmosphere, there was constant noise and hustle and bustle. When we were finally allowed to order, it took forever – and the same thing happened when paying: waiting, waiting, and being looked at in annoyance. The waiter was so obviously overwhelmed and stressed that any friendliness was lost. In the end, we were literally brushed off – rude, rude, and anything but professional. Bottom line: If you come just for the food, you'll be full and satisfied. However, anyone who values hospitality, atmosphere, or even a somewhat respectful approach should look elsewhere. Even the best cuisine won't help if you, as a guest, feel like a nuisance.

Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the evening. The start was already rocky: We had to wait a very long time before the waiter even had time to take our order. There was a palpable rush throughout the entire restaurant – and an unpleasantly loud noise level, more reminiscent of a train station concourse than a restaurant. A relaxed conversation at the table was almost impossible. Unfortunately, things didn't get any better in the end: Paying also took forever, and when it finally came, the stressed-out waiter met us with an unfriendliness that guests really shouldn't be subjected to on a birthday. The frustration was palpable – a shame it was also conveyed verbally. In conclusion: Great cuisine, but an aural and emotional imposition. If you just want to eat, you'll be happy. If you value atmosphere and friendly service, you should think carefully about whether you want to go for this.

It's a shame, because up until then, the evening had been truly perfect. The bottom line: We'd gladly come back for the food – maybe we'll bring a tea to calm us down next time. 😉

Even during the evening, there was a palpable sense of hecticness in the air, but when it came to paying, the mood completely changed. The waiter was so stressed that he openly displayed his unfriendliness – as if we had personally ruined his evening just because we… well, wanted to pay. It's a shame that such a successful evening was marred by poor service right at the end. Good food saves a lot, but a smile at the end wouldn't have been too much to ask for.

I went to the restaurant today for lunch to pick up food to go and felt extremely uncomfortable. The behavior of the male employees was completely inappropriate. I was given strange looks, comments were made in a foreign language, people laughed, and I had the feeling that I was being treated as an object rather than a customer. The demeanor was more reminiscent of a questionable place than a reputable restaurant. Some employees even made suggestive gestures, which was totally disrespectful. The food itself was also disappointing. I ordered a fried sushi roll from the lunch menu, but the fish inside was completely raw. This was not only unappetizing but also potentially harmful to my health.

A fly in the middle of your sushi makes you feel like you're on an exclusive nature experience! Who needs fresh ingredients when you're served frozen fish that smells so strong you almost lose your appetite, if you even have any left after seeing the fly? Hygiene standards seem to be optional here – insects included. For those prices, I would have expected a fancy restaurant. Instead, you get the charm of a train station snack bar with bargain-basement decor. You even have to pay full price for this adventure! No discount, no extras – except maybe stomach cramps and a round of diarrhea for free. If you don't mind paying too much, don't mind a bit of disgust, and want to really challenge your stomach, you're very welcome! Everyone else is better off eating somewhere else.

I'm truly pleasantly surprised! From the very first contact and the first use, it was clear to me that great importance is placed on quality and customer satisfaction. Everything seemed well thought out, carefully implemented, and geared towards a coherent overall experience from start to finish. You immediately notice that great attention to detail has gone into it – be it in the design, functionality, or service. I would particularly like to emphasize the pleasant atmosphere and user-friendly layout – nothing seems cluttered or unclear. Everything is focused on the essentials, but by no means minimalist or cold. Even after extended use, the positive feeling remains – no weaknesses, no unnecessary compromises. That's exactly how it should be. I can honestly say: expectations were not only met, but even exceeded. It's rare that I express myself so unequivocally positively, but in this case, it's absolutely justified. If you think about it, don't hesitate – you certainly won't go wrong here.

On Sunday I went to Kokono for dinner. Since then everything has always been good. But this time we had sushi in dough. Thank God I only ate a small piece of it, my girlfriend had eaten more, I had a brief diarrhea at home and my girlfriend had a stomach ache all night long. Chic, modern restaurant with a large selection of drinks and cocktails. Good food too with some vegetarian options. The interior feels a bit small and is quite loud even under medium load.

Had dinner this Sunday at 4 p.m. It's great that you get something to eat all day long. Delicious Vietnamese spring rolls, also many vegetarian dishes. When we are back in Aalen this is one of our top addresses.

First of all - the food is absolutely great! I wanted to redeem a voucher that I received as a gift. When paying, I presented the voucher and said that I would like to pay the rest by card. The waitress then made it clear to me that you can only redeem vouchers if you pay the rest in cash. For once, I didn't have a euro of cash with me - and then had to pay for everything by card without being able to redeem the voucher. With such a brilliant meal and the higher prices (which I'm happy to pay, no question about it), I expect that there won't be any complications when paying. This reduces the high class of your restaurant. Please write such important information on the voucher.

You had to quickly decide what you wanted to eat and drink and after 2 hours you had to vacate the place. The whole thing was very relaxed. Fast processing. You can also tell from the waitress that they want you out quickly. Food was ok.

We visited Kokono last night. The place looks incredible. The sushi was really fresh and delicious! We especially loved the tuna nigiri and the tempura rolls. And the presentation was amazing! We were served by Ahmed, his service was super polite and attentive - a very good employee! We will definitely come back, highly recommend!

The food is fresh and very well made, and the drinks are good too. The prices are very high but you get something for it. The platter for 2 people was exactly enough for 2 people (man and woman) but to me it is much more important that the food is super fresh and tastes good. Unfortunately our little mouse forgot his food and we only got it after the 3rd request. As compensation there was a portion of edamame and a voucher and we didn't have to pay for the food. The older man (possibly the boss) was less stressed but super friendly and nice 👍 I couldn't see any bitterness like some people write here. As a human being, you can't always smile and beam when there's so much going on. It's also human and normal that something doesn't go smoothly. Which is why I'm 0.0 angry about forgetting to eat. The only thing I wouldn't do with my little one is just order it to take home. It is very loud and the tables are placed so close together that a little privacy is simply impossible. It's nicely done and super interesting with the open kitchen, but I think a larger location would simply be better for the shop.

The sushi is extremely tasty and the drinks are also very good. The employees are very nice. However, it is a bit expensive. What really bothered me was that the phone constantly rang extremely loudly and it was really tiring to have a conversation.

Was there because it was considered a top spot at the time. Visited twice and never again. The man we ordered from was an unfriendly old man who was dissatisfied with his life. When I went to the toilet, he ran towards me with plates full of food and just shook his head angrily. Sorry for visiting your restaurant and using your toilet. It won't happen again.

There's no question that Valentine's Day is busier - it's impossible to wait another 60 minutes for your food after the specified time. The sauce was watery, the vegetables were overcooked and the sushi was not packaged separately as requested. Despite this waiting time, there was no price reduction.

Quaint atmosphere, friendly wait staff. No English menu so ordering if not fluent in Deutsch is the biggest challenge. Kokono did have Pho soup, though not served in traditional bowls with traditional utensils and side dishes it was reminiscent of the soup I have had in other regions of the world. Parking may be a challenge but once that’s sorted your experience will have been worth it.

Very nicely decorated restaurant with very good Asian cuisine. The elegant, warm design of the interior is surpassed by the warmth of the staff. I had a really great evening here and can only recommend the location.

We still know the old Kokono, where food was transported back and forth on a conveyor belt. ... The ambience looks great, but you're almost sitting on top of each other. This is totally uncomfortable. Ordered drinks, ok. Then came the drinks: my glass with a hair on it that was stuck to the glass due to some residue, disgusting. The coffee was totally bad. The starter consisted of a touch of nothing. Sooo overpriced. The main course was visually eye-catching, but the duck was rubbery and the sauce was over-salted and over-seasoned. I still have stomach problems 1 day after eating. Never again.

Unfortunately our visit to this restaurant was a very disappointing experience. After we couldn't find the food on the menu, we politely pointed it out to the waitress. Instead of responding to our request in a friendly manner, we were rudely rejected. The atmosphere was generally very unpleasant and it seemed as if our request was more of a nuisance than welcome. We would have liked more understanding and respectful interaction. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant due to the poor service

But: Not ideal for vegans. -small vegan selection -my “vegan” plate was decorated with mayo and one maki had leftover meat from a knife from a previous dish… There is room for improvement in vegan options and the handling of vegan/vegetarian dishes, including with regard to allergies.

Quality of food very good! Service very hectic. There's always a lot going on in the restaurant. You sit very close together and when you pick up your food you stand in a small aisle and everyone walks past. It's very loud. Orders are usually ready for pickup after 20 minutes.

After the meal we still had our drinks half full, but it's not possible to drink it in peace... As soon as the plates were taken away, the next guests were already at the table... .

The food is very good. However, I only give 3 stars for ambience because it is always terribly loud here. The service is very hard, but always a bit hectic due to too many guests. You always have to make a reservation and ideally a few days before the planned visit.

A sushi platter for 2 for just under 45 euros to pick up. (Pickup discount 10% = 40.05 euros) Ordered for 4:30 p.m. Unfortunately it wasn't ready at 4:35 p.m. Staff tend to react unfriendly and claim: "It was ordered for 5 p.m., please stand to the side" (impression: you won't stand in the way there and you'll have to wait another 15 minutes for your food) Then the kitchen got hectic and that's exactly what the result looked like. Carelessly thrown together ("swaddled"), ordered and paid for elements missing (ordered 8 rolls, there were only 5), several small bones in the salmon. A 1:1 comparison clearly shows 12/2021 and 11/2022. (Pictures attached) Same description according to the map, the same ordered content, 2 different qualities and quantities. Very disappointing.

We were there for dinner once in HDH and three times in Aalen. Ambiance, looks good but that's about it, it's not possible to spend a comfortable 2 hours there, it's loud like in a train station hall. Very narrow, everything is uncomfortable, it looks like a system, just don't hang out for too long so that there is room for the next guests. Food looks really good and is well presented, but the taste is not my cup of tea, too much coriander and somehow the ingredients don't harmonize properly, but that's my personal taste, In short, it's a restaurant chain with a focus on what's around it rather than really good food, apart from the price, which they're not really squeamish about

Schönes Ambiente, toll angerichtete Speisen und Getränke. Allerdings teilweise für den Preis zu kleine Portionen. Für mich hat die Portion Curry gut gereicht, die Männer in unserer Gruppe waren allerdings alle noch hungrig nach dem Hauptgang. Der Service war gut, kann aber variieren je nachdem wieviel los ist.

I ordered spicy tofu in vegan. It tastes ok and there were enough vegetables and tofu. Unfortunately, their allergen menu is not up to date on site, so I couldn't see for myself whether the vegetarian dishes were also vegan. Personally I think they could offer more vegan dishes. The server was friendly and the ambience in restaurant was very nice.

Been there several times, mostly very satisfied, unfortunately last time I had some “stale” salad and vegetables. For the price, the quality simply has to be better.

The Kokomo in Aalen is absolutely recommended! The service was friendly and the food was delivered incredibly quickly. The drinks were refreshing and the food not only tasted excellent, but was also prepared with great attention to detail - this is where the eyes really feast! Every plate looked fantastic and immediately left you wanting more. A small note: card payments are only possible from 40 euros, but that doesn't detract from the great overall experience. If you want to enjoy good food in a cozy atmosphere, this is the right place for you!
