Ordered chicken files for two people, super tasty, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, it was the first and not the last time we eat there.

One of the best Korean chicken places I've ever been to, and the vibe and service are on point. We got the boneless for two, with garlic and sweet chili, and it was seriously delicious and not too expensive. They have a good beer, cocktail, and liquor selection, and the outdoor seating is perfect for a few drinks after you're done eating. The service is also amazing, with super friendly staff. They totally deserve to do well. As for how busy it is, we went on a Friday afternoon and got lucky, getting a table as another group left, but I can see how you might have to wait a bit.

We happened upon this place by chance. It truly feels like Seoul! The service was super friendly. We had to put our names on a waitlist, but we were seated very quickly, despite the relatively long line! I highly recommend this restaurant!! They also have lovely ambient lighting in the restrooms 😊 We'd love to come back!

This is my favorite Korean fried chicken restaurant. I've been here a few times and have always enjoyed delicious meals—perfect when I want to treat myself. The chicken is juicy and the sauce is truly delicious; you can choose whether it's served separately or mixed directly with the chicken. The fries were a bit salty this time, but after I mentioned it to the staff, I was immediately given a new portion. I will definitely be back again.

Is it an Insta thing? Yes! Is the place packed? Definitively. Is the food good? By all means!!!! The "KFC" is crispy yummy, the seasonings are finger licking good. The fries are .... well, fries ;) you'll leave the place stuffed and happy, once you get a seat.

Went in on a friday around 21:30. 10/10 would recommend. Never had nice korean chicken until kokio (not even in seoul lol). Very attentive service!

Extremely solid Korean fried chicken that can certainly stand up to international comparison!

The food itself was very tasty, but the drinks were really expensive. A water costs 3.50?! You weren't even allowed to bring your own. It would also be better if you could pay in cash, as card payments sometimes don't work. Some of the waiters were really rude.

Absolutely fantastic! I shared the fried chicken for two people. And there was definitely enough for both of us. We also had the kimchi. Absolutely AMAZING! Highly recommended.

Fancy atmosphere with fried chicken specialties. Good, generous portions, but it's still just regular fried chicken and fries, but the sauces make all the difference. I recommend trying the dumplings, truly excellent and super filling! The prices are reasonable for the portions served.

We really enjoyed dining at Kokio. The korean style fried chicken is flavorful and delicious. Servings are generous and worth the price. The ambience is also really modern and cool (even the WC was a highlight)! In the future, we’re hoping for more additions in the menu to pair with the chicken.

The food is great! One of the best chicken experiences ever! We ordered an extra dish even though we were full 😁 We needed to wait around 25 minutes for a table.

I’ve been coming here for years! Their fried chicken is very addictive. The quality has always been consistent which is great, the team is super friendly. And what’s really great they expanded their restaurant few months ago, so now there is almost no wait time. Highly recommended.

The chicken had a great flavor, and the portions are quite large, so it's ideal for sharing. We ordered the spicy and sweet chili sauces. In our opinion, they're the best. They give you the option to taste the sauces before ordering in case you're unsure. They have Korean beers, which I recommend trying. I recommend making a reservation.

By far the absolute best Korean Fried Chicken place in Berlin…Germany…Europe (coming from someone who has lived in Korea). A must try and try and try again…!

We arrived around 19:30 on a Sunday evening, and all the outdoor seats were already taken, so we grabbed the last available spot inside. Seeing the long line of locals waiting raised our expectations. We ordered boneless chicken with sweet chili and soy sauce, sharing it between two people, and it was more than enough to leave us full and satisfied. There were plenty of Korean dishes and drinks on the menu, but we skipped them since the prices were a bit high. Speaking as a Korean: this is some pretty authentic Korean fried chicken. The sweet chili sauce with peanuts tasted just like the kind I used to eat back home. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I crave proper Korean fried chicken!

The food is amazing and the staff is so nice and friendly. The food also doesn't take more than 30 minutes to come out. They only take card, though.

My absolute favorite place for Korean fried chicken and tofu; it tastes incredibly good. I've never tasted anything so delicious. I'm usually disappointed by vegetarian Korean fried chicken options in restaurants, but at Kokio, it tastes absolutely amazing and especially good :)) I can also highly recommend the rice cakes as a topping.

I visited ‘KOKIO’ around July 5th. because I’d heard it was one of the popular chicken places in Berlin. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start:( The wait time for to-go orders was extremely long, but I stayed patient, hoping the food would be worth it. When I finally got home, I realized they’d forgotten the fries that were supposed to come with the order. I tried to find a phone number on Google Maps to call them, but there was only an email address. so I ended up going back in person When I explained the situation to one of the male staff members, he didn’t apologize—in fact, his attitude came off a bit rude. I then spoke to another man, who said they couldn’t give a partial refund but would offer another side dish instead. I asked if I could use it on my next visit, and he said they’d send me an email to confirm That email never came What’s worse is that I had to go through all this trouble for their mistake, and I still ended up losing out. The chicken was dry and tough — not as good as I thought it would be. All in all, it was a really frustrating experience, and I have no intention of going back I don’t recommend this place!

The best Korean fried chicken shop in Berlin, in my opinion. The chicken pieces are nice and big, well seasoned, and the portions are generous. The staff is incredibly friendly. I highly recommend this place!

If you are looking for the best chicken in Prenzlauer Berg try Chicken Coma. Kokio chicken was dry and bland.tbey are obviously batch cooking and keeping under heat lamps so it is just like a KFC. The fries are also frozen.. when all you do is chicken and fries that they can't do it well. I also didn't like that they wouldn't change the fries for something like kimchi. If you don't want fries they will give you more chicken..not all of us want to over eat! Giving the feedback to the staff member on the bland and dry chicken..he just smiled and walked off..so obviously wasnt really open for negative / constructive feedback. As mentioned before if you are looking for great fried chicken in Prenzlauer Berg, try Chicken Coma and skip Kokio.

When it comes to fried chicken KOKIO is one of the to go place. Delivery is good as well but I strongly recommend going to the restaurant.

The chicken was delicious, it might be appropriate to say that the sauces that could be ordered with it should not be poured on it. The toilet smelled and the lighting was inadequate. The tables were cramped. If there is no reservation, you have to wait, I don't think there is a need to wait spontaneously for this taste and environment. The food came in an average time, the price for the chicken menu for two and two drinks was 35€

worst chicken i have ever eaten also chicken was so soft not cripsy. Place temperature was so high they need to use air conditioning . Dont eat sweet chili sauce it was not chili only too much sweet

A very nice and authentic place. The food is very good – the boneless chicken is especially recommended (warning: it's really spicy here). However, you can't make reservations, and there's almost always a line. So, you'll need to allow some time.

The tofu is amazing and the sweet potato fries are delicious too, the staff is so cute and the portions are generous for not much money! 🫶🏻

I understand why everyone is saying "Kkokkio Kkokkio".. It's really delicious ㅠㅠ It tasted like chicken that I ate at a pub after a long time ˃̣̣̣̣̣̣︿˂̣̣̣̣̣̣ I also ordered spicy whelk salad, but I think it would be better if there was an option to add somen noodles to it..!!

The food was amazing. We had the boneless chicken with three different sauces with friends, and all three were incredibly delicious. The staff were also extremely friendly.

The place is always very packed. Better to place a reservation before coming here. As for the food, it's pretty good. The chicken was very juicy and flavorful, although I was it a bit more spicy. I found the price to be a bit expensive compared to the amount of food. Other than that it's pretty good and you can't really go wrong here.

Excellent fried chicken, felt treated like home!

I’ve been coming here for years now and the food has remained delicious. I was also happy to see that the restaurant has expanded a bit, as it was always packed and had a huge waitlist. Now with the new space I hope that wont happen as much anymore (although the restaurant is so popular I can see it happen still) . I went there again last week and the food and service were still excellent. The fries and the chicken were great and I was happy to see them have new menu items. If those I got the gimmari and that was great too. I regard this as the best Korean fried chicken in Berlin and most everyone I know agrees. Definitely recommend a visit.

It was amazing and soy sauce wasabi was especially good! Chilli sauce is authentic although it's less salty and less garlic flavoured compared to the Korean local taste. I missed it so much and I appreciated the athentic food here. Thanks for the quality food!

The food is delicious, but the service was unfortunately unfriendly and downright mean. When I was there alone, the service was actually quite nice. But a friend of mine who is Arabic told me that he was always treated badly there. I didn't believe it until we went there together. We were served rudely and downright meanly for no reason. We behaved completely normally. It's strange that that doesn't happen when I'm alone. If your job is in service, you should treat all guests equally kindly, and if you don't want to do that, then maybe you should do something else.

The Korean fried chicken with Super Spicy and Soy Garlic sauce was absolutely delicious—the best I’ve ever had! Special mention to the flavorful and comforting veg noodle soup, which was equally amazing. The ambience and vibe of the place were great, making the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Best Korean fried chicken I've ever had in Germany! The chicken is nice and juicy on the inside and super crispy on the outside. As an alternative there is also fried tofu! The selection of sauces is great You should be prepared to wait because the store is quite small but the crowds are high.

this is probably my partners favorite restaurant in Berlin. We come at least 2x a month and every time the food, service, quality has been very consistent. Staff is also really warm and friendly so it creates a very nice atmosphere. They also move very fast so even if there's a wait, you're not waiting for too long. 10/10

The representative Korean chicken restaurant in Berlin. There are many fake Korean chicken restaurants in Berlin, but this one is the real deal! However, the prices are not cheap, and the seats are so close together that you can clearly hear the conversations of the people next to you..

Amazing, must visit when in Berlin!!!

This is the Chinese review you are looking for. The signature fried chicken focuses on the crispiness of the thin skin. The chicken is very solid and juicy. I believe they marinated it very skillfully. Basically, it looks heavy but is actually very refreshing and not too sweet. It is different from the greasy bomb of American fried chicken. I recommend this place and it’s very comfortable to eat.

It is simply a must for anyone who likes Korean chicken. The quality of the food has not only maintained its quality after all these years, but it has also improved. The staff are always friendly and keep an eye on everything (because it can be quite busy and turbulent).

After a long while, I visited the new location. Much better since it has more space. Taste is as always good.

2025 Update: i tried their gol bang yii(not sure about the name). So good. 💯 dduk bbok ggi is good too. Chicken quality is still the same, sometime good, sometime bad. 2022: I like here a lot. One problem is, taste is not always good, sometimes good sometime bad. Having problem to maintain the taste. Hope you guys are working on that matter.

Absolutely delicious food! We had the Boneless for 2, Veggie Dumplings, Kimchi and O-I-MuChim. Everything was very tasty and came to the table quickly. The staff was also very friendly.

The food is very good, we live nearby and get something often. But as a local resident, I find the Kokio garbage around the restaurant totally disgusting! I wonder why the guests can't dispose of their garbage, but just throw it on the street? Unfortunately, this is an increasing Berlin problem. But the Kokio owners also have responsibility. You would have to take out the garbage and set up trash cans. Also in your own interest: If it stays like this, there will soon be even more rats in the neighborhood and around the restaurant.

I always order take out because the restaurant is super tiny. Although they have now moved to a different local (next door) that has more space. The boneless with spicy chilly is just great. Sweet Chili is also good. Or without sauce. The fries are meh.

French fries are hard to eat The chicken is marinated like a dragon, it's like eating zombie meat Without comparison, I would never think that "Angry Chicken" is actually quite delicious🌚 Because of the social activities, I have no recollection of having eaten junk food here. It turns out that I had been trapped last year. This food is really hard to eat! The chicken was thick with heavy MSG and flour, the fries were not even as good as the cheapest frozen fries sold in supermarkets, and they were left for so long that they looked like food waste. Because I ordered a glass of sparkling wine at a social event and the menu said it was carbonated, but when I got it, there was no carbonated wine. It was obviously garbage that had been left there for a long time. The food and drinks were terrible, and even the waiters ignored me or pretended I wasn't there or couldn't hear anything I said, so they just listened to what the Germans said. I ordered two and one was missing, and I ordered Coke and nothing was left out, that's really cool. If nothing unexpected happens, there will be no tourists coming to such a remote place to eat, so Westerners say it is a success.

Kokio is definitely one of the best spots for Korean Fried Chicken in Berlin 😋 The Chicken Boneless were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and generously portioned. The pickled side dishes were also well balanced and complemented the taste of the dish.

The soy wasabi flavor is truly delicious!! Personally, sweet potato fries are much more delicious than gamfries, K Chicken is the best!!!

We ordered via Uber Eats and chose the main menu. Once Boneless Soy Garlic and then Chicken Wings Soy Wasabi. The soy garlic was very tasty, but in my opinion the soy wasabi wings were way too heavy on wasabi - you really only tasted wasabi. Unfortunately, the fries that came with it were the worst I've ever eaten.

Kokio has been one of our favorite restaurants in Berlin for the last few years. However, unfortunately, the quality and the taste has been going down regularly for almost a year. The chicken is not as tender as it used to be. The amount of batter seems to have increased, this causes it to separate from the chicken and we are left with many pieces of crust at the end of the meal. This didn't happen before. Most importantly, the flavor and the spicyness of the spicy sauce has decreased a lot. It used to be really mouth watering & so hot it made my nose run. Now it is just bland. I hope the managers take this review seriously & resolve the issues mentioned. Then I will happily revise this review. It is meant to be a warning anyway.

I went to eat Korean chicken with an (old) Berliner. Because there are so many people, waiting is necessary. It tastes almost similar to what you get in Korea. French fries are just frozen fries The interior has become bigger after remodeling. They say it has become clean. Friendly young female staff It was delicious Willing to visit again 🙆‍♀️
