Koitsche Mountain Inn in Bertsdorf-Hörnitz

Very nice inn in a rural, rustic style, with five very spacious rooms or apartments and its own restaurant in the house. It is located on a hill, just before the gates of Zittau, with a wonderful view over the city. It is slightly remote, so it is idyllic and quiet here.

The view of the sunrise from the terrace alone made a stay at the Berggasthof KOITSCHE worth it. But there was so much more: the large, comfortably furnished room with a kitchenette (fridge, freezer, coffee maker, kettle) and a spacious bathroom, equipped with everything that a woman might have forgotten in the rush. The staff is very friendly and helpful and even arriving after midnight was no problem. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back❣️

We were there for 2 weeks. Large, well-kept, quiet room with a small kitchenette. Friendly and almost family atmosphere in the restaurant and hotel with Swiss flair. We felt very taken care of.

We stayed at the Berggasthof Koitsche for a few days in August and were very pleasantly surprised. The room was nice and big and the staff was super nice. Unfortunately, since we arrived at a time when the restaurant was closed on two days, we were only able to eat in the restaurant on one evening, but it was delicious. We'll definitely be back.

We were guests at the Koitsche for 4 days last week. The ambience really appealed to us, the rooms were very nicely decorated and clean. The dinner was fantastic, the staff very friendly. Unfortunately, the downer was the breakfast. We expected a lot because at 19.00 euros it was quite expensive for an inn. We were disappointed every morning, always the same... like a scrambled or fried egg... nothing sweet... and when the boss herself was there, they didn't even get refills... if everyone was there, then everyone. Yes, you were full, but for the price you would expect a little more choice. Those who came later didn't even have a dark bun anymore.

Unfortunately it was a day of rest here and I didn't find any reference to it on Google Maps. Too bad.

Wonderful location, popular destination for excursions, beautiful view. Simply hike or drive to the Koitsche and test it yourself. You will definitely like it.

We booked this hotel as a surprise for our parents... They were THRILLED. The room and the entire area are clean, the service is incredibly friendly and even requests for decoration of a breakfast table were taken into account. WOW we were really very satisfied. Great restaurant, rooms and staff. Located idyllically on the mountain with a view of Zittau and the mountains. Well suited for holidays or long weekends. Prices are also appropriate.

We spent the long weekend over Ascension Day at the Berggasthof Koitsche and were completely satisfied. The double room we booked turned out to be a very spacious apartment with a small single kitchen and left nothing to be desired. The only downer was a creaky bed, but that will definitely be fixed 😉Certainly - the inn is a bit secluded. But that's exactly why we booked him. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you've come to the right place. Otherwise I can't understand the negative reviews. The entire house is furnished with great attention to detail and passion. The hostess is also warm. You can have nice conversations with her and also get one or two excursion or hiking tips. When it comes to friendliness, speed and flexibility, the staff is in no way inferior. Both the breakfast buffet and the menu are clear, but the food is even better (tastes are different). Well, what can I say? All in all, we felt very comfortable and will definitely see each other again. Either in the Berggasthof Koitsche or in the Hanselhof.

We had dinner with 4 people. The food was very tasty and, as advertised, with a Swiss twist. Everything tasted very good, the service was very attentive and friendly. The price-performance ratio is right and the fantastic view plays its part. A clear recommendation from us.

Beautiful terrace with a great view over Zittau. Guest room is nicely furnished but only a large room and therefore not particularly comfortable in my opinion. The food was delicious, even if one of our starters was served almost cold - but this was made up for by the extremely friendly and attentive service! Prices a little above Zittau average. Playground right on the terrace.

Last week we stayed at the Berggasthof Koitsche for 4 days, very spacious, well-furnished and clean rooms, good beds, nice bathroom, everything was very well maintained and valuable, very good breakfast and good restaurant, the location with a panoramic view of Zittau and the mountains was great and above all friendly, attentive staff, very fair prices, nothing more is possible, many thanks to the team

Today we spontaneously went to the mountain inn for a short break. Starter with spicy meat and the main course with chicken liver and a gratinated Rösti. The food was very tasty and we really enjoyed it. The Kaiserschmarrn is also delicious. The service was very polite, helpful and accommodating. Definitely recommended.

Very friendly staff, great food, great view - highly recommended!!

The food was hit or miss from perfect to lukewarm to undercooked and inedible. We also had to wait over 2 hours. So dessert was warm apple strudel with cream and ice cream, perfect but again I had to wait over 30 minutes.

We were lucky enough to find space in the restaurant here on New Year's Eve at short notice. The kitchen is very fine, the service staff was friendly and attentive, everything was perfect!

As always when we are there. Absolutely delicious. And everything with a wonderful view

A very nice excursion restaurant, good food, friendly service, beautiful view of the mountains and the Czech-Polish Giant Mountains.

Christmas dinner with family - good food and the service was good too. We were a group of 15 people - fast service and the food came almost at the same time - you can't complain about that! The only negative point was the lack of dressing on the duck breast with salad bouquet.

It's nice there, good service, delicious food.👍👍But it took a really long time and some of the food was cold😡😡

We felt very comfortable on the Koitsche for a week in late autumn. The location is ideal, the staff are very friendly and attentive. The apartment was nice and spacious. The breakfast was very good and the dinner was excellent. We can happily recommend the cozy and beautifully furnished house.

My friend and I got Soljanka after a short hike, shortly before the kitchen closed, and we were more than thrilled. The waitress was super friendly and the solyanka was simply delicious. Unfortunately we didn't manage to go there again but we won't forget the lovely restaurant.

Thanks to a tip from our landlady of the holiday apartment, we stopped here. We were so excited that we ate there all three evenings in a row. Super tasty, really nice and absolutely recommended. When we're back in the corner, we'll definitely come back. Best regards

Sehr schöner Berggasthof, mit super leckeren Essen, top Team - Wünsche werden von den Augen abgelesen bzw. Möglich gemacht und schön hergerichteten Zimmern. Die Lage ist unschlagbar. Kommen gerne wieder

Was für ein schöner Ort! Ein wenig schweizer Flair im Dreiländereck. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient, konnten die tolle Aussicht genießen und das Essen......Spitze! Mein Bierteig hat richtig nach frischem Bier geschmeckt, die Kraftbrühe wurde ohne Frage lange und langsam gekocht und das Fleisch war oberzart. Ich habe lange nicht mehr so gut und echt gegessen. Auf dem Rückweg konnten wir uns dann sogar noch persönlich beim Koch bedanken. Weiter so!

Sehr schönes Apartment, hervorragende Aussicht, sehr ruhig gelegen. Personal und Chefin sehr freundlich.Kann man nur empfehlen. Kommen gerne wieder.

Super schöne Aussicht und Gerichte aus der Schweiz

Super gelegener Berggasthof mit schöner Aussicht, sehr nettes und flinkes Bedienpersonal, Speisen echt lecker und auf vorgewärmten Tellern serviert, tolles Ambiente im Gastraum, die Aussenterrasse mit Fernsicht über die Stadt Zittau hinweg, Preisgestaltung nicht abnormal. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Es war ein schönes Erlebnis.

Ds Essen ist sehr lecker, das Personal freundlich und flink. Die Aussicht die unbezahlbar ist gibt es gratis dazu.

Eine absolut fantastische Lage, die Zimmer sind ordentlich und sauber, das Personal sehr aufmerksam und das Essen sehr gut.

Sehr nettes Personal und der Blick vom Biergarten ist einfach genial.

Wir waren vom 2.-4.Jun. zu Besuch. Von der Terrasse und auch von unserem Zimmer aus, hatten wir einen tollen Ausblick auf Hörnitz, Zittau und Umgebung. Der Gasthof ist durch seine Lage sehr ruhig gelegen und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Unser Zimmer war eines der saubersten, die ich je auf Reisen erleben durfte. Ich hab im Bad nicht nur keinen Schmutz gefunden, sondern nicht einmal Ansatz von Kalk war irgendwo zu sehen. Am Freitag Abend begannen wir das Abendessen mit einem Grillabend, der jeden Freitag stattfindet. Hier gab es ein beeindruckendes Angebot von Würsten, Fleisch, Geflügel, Fisch, Käse, Gemüse und Broten von der örtlichen Bäckerei auf dem Grill. Frühstück gibt es ab 8Uhr. Auch da gab es alle möglichen Leckereien bis hin zu hausgemachten Marmeladen. Abgerundet von freundlichem Personal, kann ich es wirklich nur weiterempfehlen. Macht weiter so und Danke für das Wochenende!!!
