Kochwirt in Dachau

Sehr typisch. Große Tische auf einer hübschen kleinen Terrasse, die in den letzten Sonnenstrahlen erstrahlt. Blick auf die Altstadt und die Jakobskirche. Ideal für einen Aperitif oder um die typisch bayerische Küche zu entdecken. Sehr freundlich und einladend. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Getränke kamen schnell und gut gekühlt. Schweinebraten war zart, gschmackig und das Krustl knackig und resch. Krautsalat schön mild. Die Gäste und das Personal sehr freundlich. Man fühlt sich wie in einer grossen Familie.

Immer wieder a Traum. Mega Essen. Bestes Bier. Und beste Bewirtung.

Waren Weißwurst-Essen, waren guad.

Top Service trotz vollem Haus. Entsprechend hoch war der Geräuschpegel. Das Essen schmeckt sehr lecker und der Kaiserschmarren und die weisse Schokomus mit Rhabarber waren echt grandios. Ein Lokal zum weiterempfehlen. Reservation empfehlenswert.

Sehr gutes Restaurant im Stadtzentrum. Es war Ostern, daher waren nur wenige Gäste da, also... nicht besonders viel Atmosphäre... aber die Gerichte sind einfach, gut und die Portionen sind großzügig. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Besucht zu Ostern 2026.

Die Wirtschaft ist vom Ambiente schön..keine Frage..und der Service gut..aber was hier als "paniertes Schnitzel" verabreicht wird ist ein witz..das Fleisch war gepresst auf 1 mm Dicke und dann paniert..dieses sog. Schnitzel (vermutlich Industrieschnitzel) hatte die Dicke eines Blatt Papiers..denke das Fleischgewicht lag bei max. 30 gramm..ging danach noch zum McDonalds was essen.. Sowas kann man bei aller Liebe nicht für 16 Euro anbieten.

Tolle Bayrische Wirtschaft in mitten der Dachauer Altstadt. Die Speisen schmecken hervorragend und das Bier vom Fass sehr gut. Sehr freundlicher Service, was einen Besuch immer lebenswert macht. Zu den Toiletten muss man das Lokal kurz verlassen, da es auch öffentliche sind.

Beim #Kochwirt in #Dachau wird das Helle vom #Amperbräu vom Faß ausgeschenkt. Ein unfiltriertes, feinmalziges, mildgehopften, super bekömmliches Bier. Schön weich, aber nicht langweilig, mit etwas Restsüße. Feine Aromahopfung. Weitere Biere der Brauerei, die als GbR von vier ambitionierten Hobbybrauern in Dachau betrieben wird, gibt es aus der Flasche und sind auch zu empfehlen. Die Gastwirtschaft ist gut geführt und es herrscht die richtige, griabige Stimmung für einen bierigen Abend. Und das Schnitzel war auch in Ordnung. Es ist was los dort. 😊

Wir waren beim Kochwirt vor kurzem bei einer Bierverkostung. Insgesamt wurden sieben Biere gereicht. Neben gutem Bier gab es auch eine ordentliche Brotzeit. Gerne wieder. Gutes Bier, gutes Essen!.

Ambiente gut, aber Akustik hat Potential nach oben

Eine tolle bayrische Wirtschaft, in der ich mich vom ersten Augenblick einfach nur wohlfühlte! Das traditionelle Essen ist immer sehr lecker und oft gibt es auch mal etwas Außergewöhnliches, womit mein Gaumen wirklich schon sehr verwöhnt wurde! Eine wahre Freude ist es immer, wenn ich die wunderbare Wirtin Kathi sehe❣️

Tolles Essen, alles geschmacklich sehr gut, besonders die Schnitzel mit hausgemachtem Kartoffelsalat. Seht freundliches Personal, das sich immer wieder erkundigt, ob alles passt. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert, wir werden definitiv wieder kommen.

The menu is concise, which I personally consider a huge plus, and everything is freshly cooked! We can absolutely recommend this restaurant; we will definitely be back!

A really cozy Bavarian inn. The service team was very quick, friendly, and helpful. I had the currywurst with fries. I've rarely had such a delicious sauce. Really tasty and slightly spicy. I'd gladly come back again.

The currywurst "to go" was delicious!

Although I live only 7 kilometers away, I've never been to the Kochwirt in Dachau's old town. After a funeral service at St. James' Church across the street, which is on the Bavarian Way of St. James, I had reserved seats here. I know the beers from Amperbräu; I ordered a Kellerbier in a 0.3-liter bottle. A roast pork pairs perfectly with it. The crust was crispy, the dumpling was just as it should be, and the two slices of roast were enough to fill you up. I'd be happy to go again. The Kochwirt has a few beer garden tables on Augsburger Straße with a view of the church and the square in front of the Schranne (a pub). Behind the restaurant, there are outdoor seating areas that are very private and quiet.

I was ripped off for €30 after the fair. The response was, "No one pays with more than a €20 here." Very disappointing.

Very friendly service; we were allowed to stop by as part of a private party and have a few beers. The staff were pleasant to chat with. We'll be back!

After all these years of visiting Dachau, I was very surprised by the young and dynamic team, with surprisingly interesting dishes on the daily menu and excellent quality food. Vegetarian options are also available. A great team, thank you to everyone there for the excellent service!

A truly atmospheric, authentic Bavarian food. Excellent value for money, generous portions. Definitely try the homemade Kaiserschmarrn for dessert!

My absolute favorite restaurant in Dachau. Kathi (the landlady) is truly outstanding. If you're looking for excellent Bavarian cuisine (especially the roast pork is amazing), friendly people, Augustiner beer on tap, and a pub atmosphere in Dachau, you can't go past Kochwirt.

Nice restaurant with draft beer in the middle of the old town

The food was very good, for dessert we had Kaiserschmarn, which was also very tasty, but there was too much rum in it. It was said to have rum, but the fact that half a bottle was poured over it was too much. But still a nice atmosphere and good food.

Hello to the chef host. Roast pork dumpling sauce was excellent… Ambience, beautiful. However, very tight for several guests. What I have to complain about or what we have to complain about, people, is that it doesn't work at all. The dishes were dirty. There were a lot of people, the tables were beautifully set, and if you look closer, the plates had dirty edges, fingerprints and so on. We used our speed tissues to clean the plates. The white tempo handkerchiefs were black. Guys, that's not possible at all... I understand that there was too much hype, the whole inn was occupied and, as I said, many tables or all tables were set, but you have to wash the dishes beforehand!!!!! Unfortunately we were very disappointed in terms of cleanliness…

Best quaint restaurant in Dachau

The Gaatraum was about half full. We still had to spend the first 40 minutes at the table without a drink because the day's menu was being written and other work was being done in the dining room. Desserts, coffee and second drinks only at the guest's initiative. Service overall overwhelmed and inattentive. --- The schnitzel with fries was excellent. Motivated by this, I ordered the Kaiserschmarrn for around €18. Portion medium. Quality underground. Never eaten such a muddy, solid Kaiserschmarrn before. Like sweet scrambled eggs with flour. Everyone at the table was horrified.

Small selection and fantastic food. I had the schnitzel with fries and it was super tender and everything was very crispy and tasty. The Bavarian cream is also highly recommended. However, the fruit flavor might be too sweet for some. Good portion size and reasonable prices. The waitresses were nice, but the place was quite loud. I'll be back.

First of all: The (few) bad reviews seem to refer to the previous chef. It's clear to me that I have to go to Kochwirt when I come home from Frankfurt. The roast pork (I've never eaten anything else here) is great! The staff is welcoming and music is sometimes played. Unfortunately the opening days are as few as stated. My only wish for the restaurant is to be open more often.

The “Kochwirt” is a rustic restaurant with a small outdoor area. Unfortunately there is a very bright light hanging over the tables and the volume in the large room was unpleasant. The toilets are outside, which I found took some getting used to. Eat: Small portions, it was too expensive for that. I liked the menu: it's rich in content and it's not too extensive. The service was friendly and quick. (Visit February 17, 2024, from 7:30 p.m.) The homepage could be more up to date; on April 25th There is still information as of April 13th. inside. Unfortunately, the menu and drinks menu cannot be found at all.

Four of us were there on Saturday evening. Great service, great roast pork, griabig.

Tried the Milzbrat and it was delicious! I requested a small portion, otherwise I think they would have served more pieces. Never had a sliced and breaded sausage before. Interesting experience :) This is a great place to try local Bavarian food.

Gutes Ambiente, nette Bedienungen und trotz vollem Haus kam das Essen schnell und auch beim bezahlen mussten wir nicht lange warten als wir es gesagt haben. Gerne wieder :) Die Portionen waren auch ordentlich. Parkplatz findet man nach ein bisschen Suchen auch meistens. Ansonsten oben am Schloss Dachau parken oder im parkhaus der Altstadt.

Der einzige laden in Dachau in dem sogar Reservierungen mit 80 Personen Problemlos funktionieren und am Ende keiner irgendwelche "Reste" auf seiner Rechnung hat. Service ist immer super, genau wie das Essen. Dunkles Bier vom Fass einfach perfekt.
