Kochlöffel in Wernigerode

I went to eat at Kochlöffel Wernigerode today because we were looking around Wernigerode and got a little hungry.

The food was okay; I don't have high standards when it comes to fast food. However, I have to say that I find the service poor, and I rarely leave a negative review. I walk into an empty store, and the lady at the cash register ignores me for five minutes and then says with a smug smile that the order would have been faster at the terminal! I didn't even complain about the lack of hospitality. No wonder everything will eventually be done online!

The place is terrible. You order at the terminal and pay with a card. Ten minutes later the employee calls you and says the food is out. She would give you something else instead. We didn't want that, but they said they couldn't give us our money back because we had paid with a card. That's outrageous. If you can't offer us what was ordered, you just have to give the money back. Impossible. On top of that, the place was really filthy. There was food under the bench (chicken leg, fries), the toilet was just disgusting. The cheese sauce was old, there was a real film on top of it. The place should be closed.

Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Stressed, rude blonde employee. Drinks have been waiting for 10 minutes, but you can't take them away yet. The lady's tone was awful! I would have preferred my coffee warm, not cold.

"Kochlöffel" is a modern, friendly snack bar with delicious food. The ordering kiosks are particularly practical and modern, making ordering quick and easy. There's also a (very) small but nice play area for children. The only minor drawback: the restroom is upstairs and, without an elevator, is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. Otherwise, a thoroughly recommended stop for a quick and tasty snack!

The chicken was excellent. Perfect for a party while visiting the town.

The food itself was good, and the prices were also very reasonable for these days! Nice staff Unfortunately, the burgers and chicken were kept in a warming cabinet until someone bought them.

We went there for a snack for lunch. Ordering at the terminal was easy. The man at the counter was very unfriendly. He didn't seem to know how to say "Hello," "Please," "Thank you," etc. He only asked brief questions and gave brief instructions (e.g., "Are you eating outside or inside?" Then be back inside in 5-10 minutes to pick up your food. That's... euros.") Furthermore, he very rudely reprimanded his young colleague/employee (presumably a summer worker) in front of all the guests. This is completely unacceptable!!! The food was not tasty and the value for money was by no means appropriate. I will not be a customer again and will not recommend this snack bar to anyone.

I recently visited the burger joint Kochlöffel and would like to share my impressions. The food tasted okay, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. The burgers were delicious and tasted good. However, there were a few things that soured my visit. The restrooms weren't clean and had a strong, unpleasant odor. This should definitely be improved in a restaurant. The overall impression of the joint wasn't particularly inviting in terms of ambiance. I think Kochlöffel has a lot of potential, but a bit more attention to cleanliness and the layout of the restaurant would significantly improve the experience. I hope these issues will be addressed in the future.

I will never eat there again. The place was so dirty, the staff so unfriendly, and the food was okay, but I can't recommend it at all. Whoever wrote a five-star review either has strange standards or made a typo.

I can't recommend this location at all because the portions are much smaller than elsewhere. They're not accommodating when you ask for a larger portion. Sorry, but it's terrible.

Our food arrived 40 minutes later than scheduled, but the driver was very nice, which I must say (the only positive thing about our experience). However, our meal wasn't even complete, and the quality and quantity for the price left a lot to be desired. My colleagues and I wouldn't eat there again. You get significantly more for your money elsewhere, and even the burgers at McDonald's look better than at Kochlöffel. I can definitely understand the negative reviews from others.

It couldn't be worse. Prices are way too high for such mini portions, no one will get full. It wasn't tasty either. Cheese sauce way too thick and solid, dry.

Been here often in the past, now again for years... I wonder when things started to get so underground for you? The store is filthy... Half the chicken was inedible. Really, I've never eaten such a bad one and I get one quite often from various chicken carts... The skin was barely there, tasteless and the meat was somehow completely watery... I have no idea what you did there. How about proper cutlery and not these wooden things...

For the price you get reasonable portions. But the burgers really aren't that great. Unfortunately, our fries were far too soggy and oversalted. We also ordered 2 Pepsis. Barely carbonated and lukewarm. It didn't feel so good in my stomach. In an emergency you can go there, but if there are alternatives I prefer this one.

We ordered two cheeseburgers, one of which had chicken instead of beef. Since one of the service workers said to the other, "Don't tell them," I have to assume that it wasn't a mistake. Stupid and really subterranean in terms of cuisine.

This isn't food, this is the worst thing I've ever eaten. I've always thought that McDonald's, Burger King is the last thing people should eat. Wooden spoon has surpassed everything. 1 chicken drumstick with (a wooden spoon of “special seasoning”) €3.30 for this piece of fries fat without any taste. Half a chicken with it, a little over €5.00 is a legitimate price, the taste is like the chicken drumstick.....to the point of choking and the sour taste in the meat, as if the meat had been bitten. The fries taste like they look, flabby, sticky and hardly any fries salt. The last question, sorry for the harsh words, but that's not food, that's bodily harm. Partner has terrible heartburn and diarrhea from this food. If you can "cook" something, you should invest the time of ordering and delivery in your own food. You know what you are eating and your health will thank you for it. 1 star is too much, unfortunately you can't get -5. give stars. Now I know why the reviews are displayed for guests, it's not food, it's...! The colleague who delivered was very polite and got a tip, but never got food again.

Where should I begin... Atmosphere: looks modern, nothing more. Chairs are uncomfortable. Service: not the friendliest staff... When asked how big the difference is between the fries sizes, the answer was: "I don't know exactly, like this and that." They showed approximate sizes with their fingers instead of getting the packaging. Like, who the hell is supposed to know if not the employees?! Food: I had a burger and fries with mayo... I'd prefer MCS or BBQ for both. The burger was very bland, just a bit of sauce on top, just a gherkin, where MCS adds more these days. The meat tasted a bit harsh and old. I almost freaked out in the car with the fries. What's the problem with putting a mayo packet in there like everywhere else? No, with these, it was just a shit stain on the fries... They were, of course, completely soggy, nothing crispy, and in such a small amount that a packet could hold more, and to rip you off for an EXTRA 50 cents for it is completely unacceptable. The fries were also barely salted and just tasted of old grease. They were completely stale... All in one crappy place, shitty food, never again

Where we ate there we ordered a lot of food and it tasted almost nothing...especially my burger had a strange musty taste, which is why I wanted to give it back...but the nice employee just took a bite of my burger! and said it was good, I didn't get a new burger or my money and the good one was very unfriendly and it was the last time :)

Yes, something other than MC-D. Similar dishes but taste better value for money. We also got full service shortly before closing time, we'll be back.

As a family we treated ourselves to a lunchtime snack. Ordering was relaxed at the terminals and the food was ready in no time. We enjoyed it excellently. Definitely recommended.

Service was friendly, unfortunately the food wasn't very good. The rolls from the citizens were very soft, the fries were ok, unfortunately the ketchup didn't taste good at all so we didn't eat the fries.

Personally, I think drumsticks are the best chicken legs. It's really delicious.

We ordered and ate a cheeseburger here. There is a world of difference between the photographic representation and the cheeseburger you bought. No tomato slice or lettuce leaf, kept warm in the paper, dry and the price/performance ratio doesn't fit at all. Can't recommend.

No greeting, absolutely slow, snail-paced service. Employee coughs into his hand and then reaches for food for the guest. Unbearable waiting time with around 30 customers and only 2 employees in the branch. Not again.

The first thing that struck me was the toilets. You could do more with it. I didn't understand the device for drying hands. Luckily there was a washing facility downstairs (toilet on the 1st floor). I ordered the fries with cheese sauce. I thought this was a regular dipping sauce. But the cheese was already in the fries. My toddler didn't want to eat this and was disappointed. I said I didn't know that, but the employee just said "yes." I would have expected a different solution to be found... Maybe only mothers can understand that. In any case, I found it unpleasant and not child-friendly. The fries themselves were weak. The wings were good but spicy; the chicken burger was ok and my child liked the nuggets (it has a different name). The Pepsi was pretty watery.

I have many branches all over Germany but this one is really the highlight so the food is as usual. ..no problem but the service is miserable...that means unfriendly incompetent and just dirty and every corner has the "funny" thing, the toilet with no light and liquor bottles everywhere and very very dirty 0/10

We cannot share some of the reviews, on the contrary. Large fast food chains could still learn something here. Quick food that was still very warm and tasted good. Plus Pepsi, which is better than any other cola anyway.

Before you could even choose what to eat from the noticeboard, the employee told you that you had to order the food from the vending machine. A friendly “Hello” would have done the trick too. The food tasted ok and was ready quickly. The sanitary facilities should be avoided as they were totally filthy.

My update today: 4 people in the store as staff. 8 guests, 6 of them ready to serve. Nevertheless, I have to hand in my order at the terminal, which took forever because I don't know the kack terminal. Then waited 15 minutes for the order. Fast food works differently. I'm served now too.

Hamburgers and cheeseburgers were not tasty. Buns were completely soft. The burgers tasted like store-bought burgers that you warm up in the microwave. The crispy chicken burger tasted better. Unfortunately, the rolls here are also completely soft.

The portions are an absolute joke!

A good and budget place to eat in Wernigerode. Honestly, I don't know what's going on with all the bad reviews; all they do is have good food at low prices. I've been eating here for almost my whole stay in Wernigerode and was quite satisfied. The bratwurst is amazing, currywurst is a good choice and their burgers and fries are just like McDonald's or Burger King; I can't see where all these low reviews are coming from...

The staff was very friendly, but some seemed a bit unkempt. In some places near staff doors there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke. This is an absolute no-go. Not that the employees smoke, but that the employees smoke in the restaurant (albeit in the staff area) and guests have to smell it. For me, this is a reason not to eat there again so quickly. We were there twice last week and both times it smelled. Unfortunately, some of the food was almost cold to lukewarm, so not what I would expect from a wooden spoon.

The three of us were in Wernigerode on vacation from Berlin. Among other things, we also ate at Kochlöffel. The currywurst was very tasty and the chicken was good too. The only drawback were wooden spoons and wooden knives. I didn't know anything like that before. Nevertheless, we were satisfied and the young woman at the service was also very nice. I don't understand why people complain...when I go to a snack bar, I have to expect a snack. It was 10 times better there than at McDoof. 😊 In any case, we were very satisfied for this price. Food was very tasty, prices are ok!

The food is really good. The currywurst is very good. Also the grilled chicken. But the service is extremely impersonal due to the ordering terminals. There is particularly little going on in the store in the evenings. Then you order, and it takes until the food is prepared, and for booking reasons you don't even get the drink in advance. The waitress just stands behind the counter and looks at you with big eyes when you make a request. The additional bad thing is that the store is open until 8:30 p.m., but no longer offers the full range at 7:50 p.m. You also feel more like a disruptive body after 8 p.m.

The food is ok, the price could be better but that depends on the location.

I recently went to this cafe which is similar to McDonald's. Unfortunately my experience there was not very satisfactory. Even though we were the only guests, we had to wait a long time for our food. When the food finally came, the patty was very thin and seemed rather unappetizing. Instead of serving the sauce separately, it was poured over the fries, resulting in everything turning into an unappetizing mess. Overall, I was disappointed with this cafe and unfortunately I can't recommend it.

3 employees and all 3 a disaster. Employee number 1 apparently new trainee here and there on the cell phone, secretly of course, hmmm. Employee number 2 is waving the sweat away with a paper plate in the kitchen area, who knows who has it on their food. Employee number 3, helps himself from the fryer. One of the 3 employees had at least one glove on, otherwise food preparation without gloves... Because let's get to eating, the cheeseburgers were ok. The rest of the box was soggy and soggy because the fries had been thrown into the sauce long before the nuggets were ready. For the waiting time you got 3 lukewarm nuggets. Yeah!

We were at the Kochlöffel Wernigerode on August 2nd, 2024, we cannot confirm the negative reviews. The food was prepared quickly and was of good quality, there was nothing to complain about. The staff was very polite. After the meal, regardless of who it was, the tables were immediately cleaned and wiped down with a damp cloth. The interior was also neatly clean. So we can only recommend the wooden spoon.

Buns very soft, lettuce shreds instead of leaves on the burger. Just too expensive for fast food.

I have known Köchlöffel for 20 years and have always been very satisfied. Price/performance is always top. This one in Wernigerode was the worst. The chicken was grilled to death and was only lukewarm. The roll with the currywurst cost another 70 cents (!) extra. The store was (unsurprisingly) mostly empty.

Unfortunately, you won't find the red-headed waitress to be competent and friendly

If that were the case, I wouldn't give it a star. I ordered a cheeseburger today at half past twelve and was served almost frozen. I then went back in and turned to the employee with the orange hair and asked when you could get cold, almost frozen cheeseburgers here, and her statement was what I wanted from her and what my problem was with eating the cold cheeseburger because she did has other things to do than worry about getting a warm burger. I was there last time and I won't order anything there again, so I'd rather go to McDonald's than get cold food again and then charge a whole €2 for it.

So the food was very good. What I noticed was that an employee didn't do anything until his colleague pointed out to him that he had to work. The employees are unfriendly and they always try to tell you something. I was asked if I wanted bacon and not how many I got, I got it twice for 60 cents each, so I had to pay an extra €1.20. Very unfortunate

Oh well. First of all, the positive: The prices are unbeatably cheap. Service was good so far, but benches and tables could still be cleaned before a new customer sits down. And about the food: The burgers are really very handy, but in my opinion the portion of fries is quite large. Absolutely standard in taste, but still edible. Perfect for a cheap, quick snack in between, but nothing more.

Unfortunately the worst price-performance ratio I have ever experienced. Sure, at the moment everyone has to see where they stand financially, but €10.10 for over-salted fries, a currywurst that isn't actually a sausage at all, but a roasted bratwurst with ketchup, plus a drink is very disappointing. In addition, for example, the burgers in the menu picture have nothing to do with the real thing, both in terms of size and toppings. However, the trainee who served us was very nice and of course he can't help it with the disappointing quality of the food. It's a shame, because with the atmosphere and the menu I really had hope that this could be a good shop. But it won't work like that.

Delicious food for a quick meal and good prices

Food at Kochlöffel is always delicious and great if you want something quick on hand.

Food was very small portions. The dining room was very unkempt, there were still leftover food on the floor, the tables and benches were still dirty from previous guests. The tap was missing from the sink in the dining room. The sink in the dining room is right next to the play area for the little ones. The toilet...doesn't work at all. Dirty. It would also be nice if you could get a non-carbonated drink with a meal that included 12 nuggets and a medium portion of fries. It's actually a shame that there wasn't even a cup of tap water for our little one.

I ordered food for delivery and it all arrived on time. However, the fries were wrong, I ordered sweet potato fries but unfortunately only got normal fries. After I called twice I was told that the sweet potato fries would be delivered to me. After an hour and a half the supplier was there and the right fries were there too.

Great shop, delicious food and reasonable prices. I'd love to come back.

I always ate the same thing for many years and even after I moved away from the city, I often came here to eat a krossie cone. Unfortunately I have to change this plan because I don't eat ketchup or mayo with it, but always a LOT of salt. When I asked if I could make more of my fries, I had to deal with a very arrogant and stroppy employee. She then reluctantly gave me a bowl with a pinch of salt and wanted to argue with me after I laughed at the crowd and became even more unfriendly than before. It's a shame... We've been eating here for 10 years and nothing like this has ever happened to me. She said she was no longer allowed to give out something so senseless. Whether I eat more salt or ketchup with it can hardly be a million-dollar expense compared to the sauce🤣 I'm now looking for a new restaurant here for my visits

The chicken with fries is very tasty and the staff is friendly

I am reminded of my youth every time I visit the branch. When I ate at Kochlöffel for the first time in 1989, I found the burgers very tasty and delicious. Somehow different than the well-known names in the industry. And the prices… great!!! It's a shame that there are no more branches in Saxony-Anhalt.

Nettes kleines FastFood Restaurant. Auswahl eher klein, Speisen waren aber lecker. Wir sind 2x während unseres Urlaubs wieder gekommen für den kleinen Hunger zwischendurch. Für ein vollwertiges Mittag/Abendessen wäre es mir allerdings zu teuer für die Speisengrößen. Die Bedienung war aber jedes Mal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Relativ preiswertes Fastfood Restaurant. Ordentlich und freundlich.

Der Kochlöffel befindet sich sehr Zentral in Wernigerode. Der Imbiss ist hell, sauber und modern eingerichtet. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und zügig. Das Essen hat eine gute Imbiss- Qualität. Die Preise sind noch gut im Rahmen. Empfehlenswert ist das Hähnchen- oder das Currywurst -Menue. Fazit: für eine kleine Stärkung empfehlenswert.

Gestern und heute dagewesen, beide Tage Starburger und Pommes. Freundliche Bedienung, alles super.

Wir waren heute erstmals dort essen. An sich OK, aber man darf nichts besonderes erwarten bei den Preisen. Wir sind satt geworden, umgehauen hat uns der Geschmack aber leider nicht - es wird wohl eher eine Notlokation für uns bleiben.

Wir machen gerade Urlaub in Goslar und sind extra nach wernigerode gefahren, um dort zu essen, leider gibt es bei uns keinen Kochlöffel mehr in der Nähe, super nette Bedienung und das Essen wie immer lecker, wir wünschen uns eine Filiale in unserer Nähe, cloppenburg-Oldenburg

Hervorragend in allen Bereichen. Frisch zubereitetes Essen. Getränke auch super. Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden. Alles prima. Hier kann man sehr gut Burger, ChickenWings etc. Essen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Alles sauber. So wünscht man es sich.

Also ich dachte erst, der Preis ist echt gut für das Essen. Als ich das Essen dann bekam war ich etwas irritiert wie klein die Portionen waren, das war allerdings nicht das schlimmste. Die Currywurst wurde wahrscheinlich nur von beiden Seiten kurz angebraten, sonst war sie eigentlich noch wie aus der Verpackung und hat auch so Geschmeckt, roh halt In der Cola war bestimmt nur ein kleiner Schluck Sirup drin.. Die Pommes waren lasch und kalt, wie das Brot vom Burger, der trotzdem geschmeckt haben soll( deswegen 2 Sterne) Das Ambiente war halt wie zu erwarten in einem schnell Restaurant Die Toilette war trotz Putzplan nicht sauber und es lagen leere Schnapsflaschen rum, im Großen und Ganzen hat man in der einen Straße bestimmt bessere Auswahl.

Die wohl kleinste große Pommes der Welt zu einem stattlichen Preis. Das ist schon ein bisschen dreist. Wir hatten eine große Pommes-Box zum Mitnehmen. Die Box war schon nur die Hälfte von einer normalen Imbissassiete und die Box war dann nur halb gefüllt. Der Laden war aber sauber und die Mitarbeiter freundlich.

Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut dort. Es gibt dort, Pommes, Burger, Grillhähnchen, Nuggets, Currywurst.Die Bedienung ist nett und freundlich dort. Dafür das dort ein grosser Andrang ist bekommt man seine Bestellung relativ schnell ( 10 min. Wartezeit) ist Inordnung. Man kann alles im Menü bestellen. Die Preise sind alle Inordnung dort.
