Kocherwerk Bistro in Forchtenberg

A small, rustic inn in the heart of Forchtenberg, lovingly decorated. The menu is small; we had a seasonal special with a few specials. The service was unfussy and impeccable. The food is a treat for all lovers of traditional Swabian fare. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, December 30, 2023, is the last day open. After that, only open for events, right? Stop by; maybe it'll be open Friday and Saturday in 2024. The operators aren't finalizing their decision yet... we'll see, we'll keep in touch.

Good German cuisine. The portions are also great. My onion roast was very tasty and tender. I took some home for my husband, but it was unfortunately tough. The conditions were friendly, and children are welcome too. There's a small toy box in the adjoining room. It was busy, and the waitress sometimes took a little longer to take our requests. The rooms are small, and when busy, it quickly gets loud in there.
