Kitzmann Bräuschänke in Erlangen

We spent a lovely evening there with colleagues and the food was without complaint. But the waitress reprimanded us in a rather condescending tone because of the insufficient tip, and that with a bill that was well over €300. I can therefore not make a recommendation.

Were there with 10 people. The restaurant became more and more crowded and was always busy throughout the evening. It has to be said that most of the guests came without reservations, which is why they weren't prepared for such a crowd. The food still arrived quickly, was warm and very tasty. The waitresses were always friendly and handled it very well.

My favorite weizen beer in Germany! Thanks you all !

My son invited us for my Granddaughters first Day of school.

Wir waren zu einem Zwischenstopp in Erlangen und haben abends im Kitzmann gegessen. Das Essen und die Getränke waren in Ordnung. Das Personal freundlich. Es handelt sich um ein Brauhaus mit der typischen (Wirtshaus-)Atmosphäre: alles in allem völlig in Ordnung, aber auch nichts besonders spektakuläres.

We had dinner in the beer garden 7 days ago. What particularly caught my attention was the staff. I haven't seen anything so friendly and accommodating in a long time. I hope the boss honors that.

Delicious beer, unfortunately poor value for money for the food. Unfortunately, the cheese spaetzle was only a tiny portion, which was quickly eaten with 10 forks and was quite expensive at just under 15 euros (if you compare it, for example, with the Schäufele, which was only 5 euros more expensive). Note wasn't passed on... I can't recommend it.

Excellent restaurant quite central and with the possibility of parking. The seats outside enjoy a quiet seating area, the service is excellent and the dishes are mostly meat-based. Good beer, average prices.

I ordered Franconian bratwurst with potato salad. In my opinion they were pork sausages that were swimming in fat and the potato salad had a bland taste. The service was very friendly.

Friendly service and wonderful food

Kitzmann is first and foremost the beer of Erlangen. Then the place is an excellent Biergarten in the city center. There are parking spaces, but if you can get there on foot. The beer is very good, the menu varied, based mainly on typical Bavarian (or more precisely Franconian) ones. And rightly so for a real Biergarten. Fast and courteous service. Prices average for the region. I recommend it.

Wir sind Stammgäste. Dimi und die liebe, blonde Servicefrau sind beide auf Zack. Schnell, nett und offen. Meine Frau liebt die Currywurst und ich das Braumeisterschnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat. Auch der gemischte Salat ist lecker. Getränkenachschub ist schnell und zuvorkommend. Auch der tolle Biergarten ist schön. Für kleine Kinder nicht so geeignet, weil keine Spielmöglichkeit. Das Essen ist hervorragend und reichlich. Auch die Wartezeit auf das Essen absolut ok. Wir kommen wieder!!!!!

My wife and I are regular guests here and we are always 100% thrilled and very satisfied. The service woman and Dimi are super fast and very nice and accommodating. The Braumeisterschnitzel or the Currywurst on Saturday are very tasty and recommended. We often go there on Saturdays because they have currywurst. Service very fast, even when it's busy. Wait until the food arrives. Drink replenishment also quick. We'd love to come back. The friendliness is also great. We thank you and are glad that you exist!!!

Have a good dinner with a bear! Only one point is that this restaurant has taken american style: ask for a trip if you are a foreigner. In Germany, service is normally included.

Great beer garden in the middle of the city center. Food great selection and very tasty 😋. The horseradish soup is to die for. Were there in a large group. Orders came very quickly, food for over 20 people almost at the same time. Great service, really thumbs up. We had a really great few hours. Become regular customers here now.

It was very tasty 😋 and the service was super nice

Seems like a tyrannical boss. You are only allowed to sit at certain tables in a row, even if there are 10 free unreserved tables next to them, even if the shop is almost empty. But even at the permitted tables ("that are set", in Erlangen that means a can with a wooden spoon in it!) the waitress is not allowed to wipe the table, instead she should take care of the guests (we weren't there?) and that's what she did long explained that the slowest person could have wiped three tables in that time. Everything was so unpleasant, I didn't want to stay there.

Horseradish soup was great, dumplings with sauce were good, schnitzel was rather dry and not freshly baked in a pan, but in a deep fryer, salad was ok. Service from the Italian was very nice.

I thought for a long time about whether I should write at all! But I decided to do it. We haven't been to this beautiful beer garden for a long time and remembered it a little differently. But if I order a pan schnitzel on the menu for over €16, I want one too. I got a shaped meat the thickness of Carpaccio. The breadcrumbs were almost thicker. And it wasn't from the pan, but from the deep fryer. It's a real shame ☹️.

As a Berliner, I came here at the end of April because I really wanted to try Franconian cuisine. I'm not a beer drinker and my shandy was non-alcoholic, but it was the best shandy I've ever drunk. I ate, in Berlin you would say bulette, in Franconia it was probably Fleisch-Pflanzerl. It was very delicious. Also the asparagus soup. The ambience was rustic, exactly how I imagine a brewery would be. The staff was attentive and friendly. The tavern was well attended and the only drawback was the resulting noise level. I would come here again and again!

Das beste Schäufele dass ich je gegessen habe. Auch die sauren Zipfel waren Spitze, das Kalbsschnitzel so wie es sein soll, fluffig und die Panade so wie sie sein muss. Das Bier spitze, der Hochmoorgeist toll, die Bedienungen super kompetent und sehr, sehr freundlich. Wir wollten nirgends anders mehr in Erlsngen essen gehen und wir sind verwöhnt. 5 Sterne von uns. Ich muss normal nicht mehr nach Erlangen, alles gesehen, aber Kitzmann kann mich da eines anderen belehren.

Food was okay, scoops were well done, potato salad was okay. Simply put together. Unfortunately no waitress took care of me. So it remained with one wheat.

Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Aber unsere Tellern: 6 parallel aufgelegte Spargelstangen und eine halbe Kirschtomaten sind gewiss kein Spargelsalat. Was den Paprikagulasch betrifft: sehr guten Geschmack, allerdings sind 4 Milimeter schwimmendes Fett in der Pfanne ein gastronomischen Faux-Pas. Schade.

Food was OK but unfriendly staff. Maybe they just had a bad day. The restaurant was well filled and the beer seemed to taste good.

Nice but very noisy and the next room was very brightly lit. The service made us wait for a very long time.

Caution! Hidden rip-off. 2 euro surcharge for changing supplements. It doesn't have to be. The selection of dishes is impressive. But the quality changes. Unfortunately, an “oven-fresh” Schäuferla can also have already been warmed up. Overall “only” 3 stars.

Great cuisine with tasty beer in a modern brewery atmosphere

Superbly furnished, newly renovated. Great toilets on the 1st floor. The background noise is brutally loud, which is why the 3 stars for the ambience are otherwise great and it's also great to park for "out-of-towners" in the parking garage nearby

I stumbled upon this amazing place in Erlangen and loved its relaxed vibe. The staff were super friendly, and I felt welcomed right away. I didn’t have to wait for a table, which was great. Tried their Aperol, and it was the best I’ve had. A must-visit for Aperol fans. We also tried their bock Bier, Keller Bier, and Weißbier—all amazing. To eat, we ordered spätzle, which was delicious. Overall, loved the service, atmosphere, and drinks, definitely going back.

Right in the center and yet quite quiet, so being outside was a real treat on my last visit in the summer. The drinks were well chilled and very refreshing. I didn't eat anything because it wasn't time; Therefore, unfortunately no rating in this regard. Staff very attentive and friendly! Recommended after a stroll through the city or sightseeing!

We were thrown out very rudely because we just wanted to drink and not eat. It's called BräuSCHÄNKE. Think about it! In my opinion, you don't tick all the right boxes, and that's putting it much more politely than how you behaved towards us.

I was there for my family's funeral. There is only one parking garage for 3 euros per hour. There is a limited parking space, you have to go through the parking garage and then turn right or park in the immediate vicinity. Parking machine possible.

If I had guests from outside Franconia, I would take them here in Franconia! Not exactly cheap for Franconian cuisine, but you get the entire Franconian culinary program plus a well-kept, cozy atmosphere (perhaps a bit noisy at peak times) and attentive, really hospitable staff!

Familien mit Kindern, bleibt bloß weg! Wir wurden schon am Eingang von einer unfreundlichen Bedienung angeraunzt, weil wir versehentlich auf die falsche Treppe zusteuerten. Am richtigen Eingang dann schickte die Dame mich mit meiner Tochter direkt wieder weg, weil die Kleine (2) weinte und "es den anderen Herrschaften zu laut ist", wobei sie auf einen der wenigen besetzten Tische deutete. Das Pärchen dort sagte nichts dazu, dennoch wurden wir aufgefordert, draußen zu sitzen. Als ich die Dame dann noch einmal darauf ansprach, wurde sie regelrecht beleidigend und sehr überheblich. "Ich bin hier die Chefin, da haben Sie sich ja genau bei der Richtigen beschwert!" war das Schlusswort der Tirade - gefolgt von konsequentem Ignorieren unseres Tisches bzw Vorschicken eines anderen Kellners. Umso schlimmer, wenn es tatsächlich so ist - die Chefin ist laut kurzer Google-Recherche selbst Mutter, da hätte man doch einen anderem Umgang mit dem Weinen einer Zweijährigen erwartet. Ich war hier in der Vergangenheit öfter, da Bekannte von uns das Lokal sehr schätzen, aber das war nun leider definitiv mein letzter Besuch.

Erst nach über 30 Minuten durften wir unsere Essensbestellung aufgeben und wurden bei Nachfrage vorher etwas schroff abgewiesen. Sorry, aber das geht so nicht. Mein bestelltes Wiener Schnitzel bestand aus ein paar Fetzen und war eher Panade-Nix-Panade.

Schönes Ambiente, war sehr viel los, daher sehr laut, warm und stickig. Waren viele Weihnachsfeiern. Preis eher gehoben. Service freundlich, manchmal etwas forsch. Wartezeit aufs Essen war ok (ca 20 Min).
