Lovely food and great hospitality.

Masala Dosa of this place is awesome. Papadi chat was the perfect starters. Chana bhatura and shahi paner with garlic naan is the best item of Indian dish had in Germany. People come from nearby cities and countries to have food here. And mango lassi is so yummmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!

Delhi is a traditionally furnished restaurant whose owner is extremely friendly towards the guests and serves food neither too early nor too late. The selection is great. The food tasted fresh and was great in terms of taste. Will come often!

Chole Bature and Amritsari Kulcha were excellent! The owner uncle is super friendly and always very attentive, and the service is really good despite the busy and packed restaurant! The atmosphere is also very authentic. Overall this is really good restaurant!!

The food is really delicious and the portions are a good size, at what I think is a very good price. The Coconut Lassi is highly recommended, as is the Garlic Nan! Since the outside area is right on the street, I find the traffic a bit annoying. The interior, on the other hand, is very nicely decorated and suitable.

There is an urgent need for cleaning here, the window sills and windows are not attractive, and there is dirt piled up on the lamps. Food being served in a metallic-looking food bowl tray is not an option for me personally. The fact that it was clapped at my counterpart, well, no one needs it. Quality of the food was below average. A lot of things weren't really warm or hot. This works much better in Indian cuisine. We were very disappointed and perhaps made too many comparisons to really good Indian cuisines. Price-performance ratio too expensive for what is offered. Parking is a matter of luck. We didn't have access to toilets, so we couldn't rate them. As of: 2024

There is such a huge vegan selection that I simply had to order four dishes (three starters and one main course) because I couldn't decide. =) Everything tasted really, really delicious and the service was also very loving and courteous! Great spot for vegans in Erlangen!

Clear recommendation! If I am reincarnated as Mango in the next life, I hope that I will be processed into Mango Chicken at Delhi!!! At Delhi you definitely get the most flavorful mango chicken in all of Erlangen! We have never been disappointed with the service in the store during our visits, and taking away has always worked. I would love to eat there every day. No joke, give the store a chance! 😀

We visited yesterday for dinner with my family. We ordered dosa chhole bhature vadapav and idli sambhar. Everything was pathetic. I called restaurant before going to check whether they serve southindian food for dinner owner said yes it's available. When we went they gave me masala dosa with potato chana masala stuff and sambhar loaded with frozen veg with some random gravy base coconut chutney was not even eatable. some random butter masala gravy toped with chhole they serve as chhole bhature. And owner can see on our face that we don't like anything here but he didn't even acknowledge it and handover the bill. Will never go there.. such a shame. Yes they changed dosa but still it was pathetic we ate because we were hungry and obviously we had to pay 41, euros for that.

I have put order through Ubereats, Food got delivered in 20 -30 minutes but the order was wrong, when I call the restaurant, the person told me that you have to pick it up your order or I will drop by 2 PM. But then I send someone to pick up the order, I got the food , which was so Pathetic No Taste, cold. Onion Naan was Like I am eating only Maida. I ordered Chicken Tikka, and I got colourd boiled chicken pieces with salad leaves. No taste no Masala. Very Pathetic Service. I will never ever visit this restaurant or order any Food. Waste of Money ....

Food almost no seasoning - you probably have to order extra - service below average, for example the table wasn't wiped down after the meal even though he saw it, from 8 p.m. families with small children came - totally loud - like in a canteen, a nice evening for two is not possible! We were asked to pay at the counter! Are you crazy ? And €33 per person vegetarian! No.

Total hyped. I love Indian food and have been to many restaurants, but the naan is simply amazing. Just the right mix of crunchy and soft and buttery. The food also came super quickly.

Visited for Dinner on Friday evening and order basic food as Dosa, Idly, vada pav. Horrible food, worst ever. Never ever going to visit again. My recommendation is to avoid .

I had a vegan biryani that was on the menu with fresh vegetables, but unfortunately only the onions and a few peppers were fresh. Otherwise it tasted good. A friend had a paneer dish and was very satisfied! Service was good, food came quickly and large portions! Good experience overall!

The owner can be a bit more polite to the customers/ guests. Some remarks were quite off-putting and could have been expressed in a more courteous way. Food is subpar.

No own parking spaces, nice atmosphere but a bit cramped (wheelchair users and strollers would have problems), food good, service very good.

Authentic Indian taste. Just ask the cook to have more Indian style and he will serve as you describe. Paneer kebab role was not that good. But yeah next time when you visit first taste it and then can return to make more tadtier or spicy, this was the polite advice by the owner

Food is very expensive and one item they overcharged me more than usual. They say one item will come with rice but they did not give me rice as side dish. Quantity was less. Taste was ok

Für jeden, der indisches Essen liebt, ein Geheimtipp. Große Speisekarte mit vielen Gerichten, die es so auch nicht unbedingt bei einem Inder gibt (z.B. Pani Puri, Dosa, Idlis) ohne dass die Auswahl oder Qualität der indischen "Standard-Gerichte" darunter leiden. Auch super Auswahl für Veganer.

Sehr guter Inder. Wir waren mit dem Schlemmerblock dort und wurden sehr gut bedient. Das essen war phantastisch. Die Portionen sind ausreichend groß, das Hühnchen sehr zart und die Soßen gut gewürzt aber nicht zu scharf. Service war top, sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Lediglich auf etwas mehr Sauberkeit könnte man achten. Gerade auf den Bänken ist es nicht so toll, wenn dort noch die Krümel von vorherigen Gästen liegen.

Super leckeres indisches Essen. Wir waren mit dem Schlemmerblock dort und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Der Service war freundlich und auch das Essen war zügig auf dem Tisch. Die Portionen waren groß und gut gewürzt, auch das Fleisch war bei den bestellten Gerichten reichlich. Lecker!

Order placed for pick up. I arrived 20 minutes later and i was told they didn't process my order. I left after another 30 minutes wait and two people served before me. May be you don't like tourists after all. Well you won't see me again, that's for sure.

Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Nuremberg-Erlangen area. Authentic taste and authentic ‘mehmannawazi’. The people working here are really hospitable and act like hosts rather than ones just running a restaurant. Biryani recommended to us by Akeel was really good

Esse sehr gerne (und viel) Indisch und muss sagen, dass es für mich das beste indische Restaurant in Erlangen ist! Ein echter Geheimtipp. Sehr große Auswahl an Gerichten und schmeckt immer ausgezeichnet. Man merkt (im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Indern), dass hier viel selbstgemacht wird. Service ist außerordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich immer sehr willkommen! Die Einrichtung ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hat jedoch auch seinen Charme. Kein Schickimicki-Restaurant, aber wer authentische indische Küche sucht ist hier genau richtig!

Das Essen war sehr lecker! Ich habe das Vegane Vindalu gegessen und es war wie im Menü beschrieben sehr scharf. Ich fand das Essen, das Ambiente & den Service wirklich toll. Ich fand nur die Getränke bisschen teuer. Bis zum nächsten Mal!

Absolut authentische indische Küche! Die Auswahl an Speisen ist gigantisch groß und das Essen war super lecker! Es gibt auch sowohl eine große vegetarische wie auch vegane Auswahl! Der Guaven Lassi ist sehr zu empfehlen.

I highly recommend Delhi Restaurant in Erlangen as the best Indian dining spot. I've personally visited it over 5-10 times and would suggest it to everyone, especially students. One dish I particularly enjoyed was the Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani, which is quite generous in portion size, serving two people easily with four chicken legs and a substantial amount of rice. If you order just one, it's likely to be sufficient. In my opinion, no other restaurant in Erlangen offers such generous portions. It's definitely the top choice in town – don't hesitate to give it a try!

The food here is closest to authentic Indian cuisine. I have not had such good food in any other Indian restaurant in Erlangen. Amazing taste. The staff is very polite and you get a warm welcome.

When we think about celebrations, DELHI Erlangen Restaurent is always our first option and it never disappoints. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding, my sahi paneer, chat papdi ,Allo tikki ,masala dosa,onion ring ,samosa, mango lassi 🥭, chilly chicken, cheese chilly, Manchurian, Paneer tikka, mashroom tikka , pav bhaji might have been the best meal I have ever been served. Service was delightful and very professional. 10/10

I love this place! Have had great food and service every time. Great food in Germany Favorites include the garlic naan, karahi paneer ,sahi paneer ,butter chicken , chicken chilli ,the Greek salad, the Indian style tomato soup, the vegetarian appetizer sampler, and any of the curries. So delicious! The naan are huge, chewy, bubbly, and perfect. Pav bhaji , paani poori , masala dosa , idli sambar , aallo tikkies , chat papdi are amazing snacks The best part is the chutney that comes with naan. The mint/cilantro one is AMAZING and the tamarind one is so so good. I love mixing them, and even using them as dressing for the salad. This is my go-to Indian place! In Germany

This place is very cozy ,there is lot of varieties of Indian food like paneer butter masala ,karahi paneer , Sahi paneer , Palak paneer , butter chicken , mix veg etc There is many street snacks such as allo tiki , chat papri , dosa , pani poori , pav bhaji etc . Quality and quantity are very excellent and delicious, In this restaurant ,bar is very attractive and have lot of variety of drinks and staff is very polite and cooperative with good smile The price is affordable as compare to other restaurant , The climate of restaurant is superior, So I want to visit there again and again , highly recommedable restaurant

Das Essen war fantastisch! Der Kellner überzeugt mich immer wieder mit toller Gastfreundschaft, ein fröhliches Lächeln und hatte uns gut im Blick zwecks der Getränke etc. Außerdem ist die Indische Küche nun mal sehr vielfältig und es ist kein Fastfood, also ja es kann sein, dass das Essen etwas dauert. War bei unserem letzten Besuch nichtmal der Fall aber wollte hier nur Klarheit in die Rezensionen bringen Gerne wieder!

I definitely recommend this restaurant, for anyone looking to have authentic Indian food. Probably the best one in Germany lastly, I suggest asking the staff for recommendations.

Everything was so good, the ambience, the food, the service... Superb.... The Vindaloo chicken was my favorite, the naans were so soft that they melt in mouth. The service was very good, especially Aqeel bhai was very friendly, served everything with a smile. Do visit this restaurant.

I love to have chicken biryani with bones , especially leg pieces . Most of the Indian restaurants in Germany serves biryani with boneless chicken . Delhi has a special Hyderabadi Briyani which is with chicken legs . Worth it .

The taste is good, close to the original one and better than the others in Erlangen. The service is excellent and the roti is really good!
