Favorite place in Bensheim. Great view 😃

A great place to stop after a hike. Children's playground. Shady outdoor seating with a wonderful view over the Bergstrasse to the Ried and further to Ludwigshafen. Good menu and drinks. Great Riesling. Happy to go back again and again.

I like to combine hikes on the mountain road with a stop/rest at the Kirchberghäuschen. The absolute unique selling points are the opening times (open daily!!!) and the location in the vineyards with a great view. The service team is pleasantly friendly and the Kaiserschmarrn tastes good too!

The view and ambience can't be beat. However, the price/performance ratio no longer fits at all!

The location is nice, but the food is almost outrageously expensive. A bit of cooked cheese with two slices of bread costs €10, as does a piece of hand cheese. There was no hot food because the kitchen was closed at 6 p.m

As always, the Kirchberghäuschen is a place with a fantastic view. The cooked cheese is very good, unfortunately the bread served with it was not fresh. The currywurst was good, the fries were quite firm - but at least not greasy. Unfortunately, the prices quoted are quite high (e.g. currywurst with fries €9.50). Unfortunately the coffee was not for coffee lovers. The outside service must be praised, as it ensures order and a tidy ambience very well.

A real insider tip. Rustic atmosphere with friendly, fun staff. The path to the Kirchberghäuschen through the vineyards alone is worth experiencing.

We have been there countless times and always enjoy the wonderful ambience. This time, however, we noticed how expensive everything had become. 7 EUR for a 0.4 liter wine spritzer is quite steep for self-service. Unfortunately, the prices for food and quantity no longer match at all.

A place to go in Bensheim for as long as I can remember. A beautiful outdoor area under old trees and a fantastic view reward the walker for the climb. And since the Bulling family has taken over the culinary scepter, that too has been a pleasure. Despite self service, it's worth a trip.

Great location with a very nice view over Bensheim and very good food. Since friendly service staff already help with seating guests, they could also be used to eliminate self-service, which would also be better suited to the prices.

A must-see, the best view over the Rhine-Neckar region. Great shady beer garden, perfect for switching off and forgetting about everyday life. Here you sit above things... unfortunately the cooked cheese schnitzel is no longer what it used to be. It was once legendary, the best in the area...

Great, small regional dishes in a rustic atmosphere. The dishes are extremely tasty, but what impresses most about the Kirchberghäuschen is its fantastic location. It was also nice that a good, big live band played nice music despite the weather.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio doesn't fit for the price. There could be more on the plate. The bratwurst didn't particularly appeal to us either. The wild goulash soup was very tasty.

The Kirchberghäuschen in Bensheim offers a breathtaking view of the city and the Rhine plain from its terrace. After a steep climb through the vineyards, you will be rewarded with a cozy and rustically furnished rest area. The regional cooked cheese with onions and farmer's bread is particularly delicious. Despite self-service, the prices are a bit high. The staff is friendly and helpful, and cleanliness is guaranteed throughout. A popular stop during the vineyard hike.

Excellent cottage with live music. Rarely have I had so much fun. The band LOL was great and everyone was in a good mood!

Nice spot. Schnitzel not classic, rather thick piece of meat, but overall rich and very tasty. Atmosphere nice. Small playground nearby. Only accessible on foot after about 15 minutes from the nearby parking lot. Attention: It's quite steep uphill and you should be able to walk reasonably well.

Great place to stop, good food for hikers. But totally overcrowded on weekends. Tip: Take half a day off and see if the flag is hanging out (you can see it from Bergstrasse). And have a nice afternoon 😊

We have known the Kirchberghäuschen for many years. It used to be just a nice garden restaurant with a view over Bensheim and a manageable menu. A bit provisional at times, but that's why it's somehow likeable. For a few years now (new tenant?) it has become a sales machine: Even the two sawn-off tree trunks directly below the restaurant have been removed so that no hiker comes up with the idea of ​​sitting there and possibly eating their own provisions. On the viewing bench right next to it there is also a sign informing you that you are still on the territory of the inn (which means: just sitting down and biting into your own bread is not welcome here). The service staff is also trained (or should we say "trained") to check whether one or two of them eat their own food on the bench: there is a risk of being expelled. The only thing missing is that as a walker you have to pay tolls if you simply want or have to cross the grounds of the garden restaurant in order to get back on the hiking trail to Bensheim.

Nice place to visit after a hike through the princely camp and the surrounding area. Very attentive staff. Local dishes such as hand cheese, cooked cheese or schnitzel.

Today was the first time we were dissatisfied after more than 20 years. Unfortunately, the pricing is not family-friendly. Also the dishes served, bread was boring, cooked cheese and hand cheese, well. The fries, on the other hand, were great as always.

Was there today! Nice ambience! Apple cider was delicious! The man at the food counter seemed annoyed and rude! Ordered cooking cheese with music. But got wallpaper paste with stale bread. Not recommendable!

Beautiful destination. Nice and friendly service. On the one hand, the food was very expensive (hand cheese €9), but on the other hand, the quality was subpar: the Kochkässchnitzel was a pre-made wholesale market product, potato salad in a watery sauce. Currywurst like in the snack bar. It's a shame. Cake looked good.

It's great that the Kirchberghäuschen is also open during the week and in winter when the weather is nice! So I was able to take a break here on a sunny afternoon in February and even got a delicious meal! The innkeepers were super friendly and very professional; You can tell that they enjoy their job and the mood among the entire staff was correspondingly good. Always a worthwhile destination, not to mention the fantastic view.

Great attendance in brilliant weather. Despite the large crowds and long queues for catering, the waiting time was relatively short.

There is a great hiking trail from the Fürstenlager (Bensheim/Auerbach) to the Kirchberghäuschen. There you can reward yourself with good food and better drinks. The view when the weather is nice is a dream.

Ich hatte eine sehr unangenehme Erfahrung, als ich in Bensheim auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt das Kirchberghäuschen am Marktbrunnen besucht habe. Am 21.12.2023 ca. 14:00 Uhr wurde ich MEHRFACH mit rassistischen, primitiven, geschmacklosen und ohne intellektuellen Anspruch auf die widerwärtigste Art persönlich durch den Inhaber bzw. Geschäftsführer beleidigt. (4 Zeugen vor Ort). Als Inhaber bzw. Geschäftsführer sind Sie den Ethikrichtlinien und Verhaltenskodizes nicht mächtig! Wurst/Glühwein nicht der Rede wert, in Ordnung. In einem allgemeineren Sinne wird der Begriff "Vorsatz" manchmal verwendet, dass eine Person bewusst und absichtlich handelt, um ein bestimmtes Ergebnis zu erreichen oder eine Handlung auszuführen, von der sie weiß, dass sie rechtswidrig ist. "Der HERR segne dich und behüte dich. Der HERR lasse sein Angesicht leuchten über dir und sei dir gnädig“"Und so leuchtet die Welt langsam der Weihnacht entgegen, und der in Händen sie hält, weiß um den Segen.“ Zur Info meine Vorfahren: Das antike Griechenland(ca. 800 v. Sehr schöne Aussicht. Guter Service.

Meiner Tochter fiel vor ein paar Wochen ihre Lieblingstasse auf den Boden. Es war eine Tasse vom Kirchberghäuschen, die man leider nicht mehr kaufen kann. Ich telefonierte mit Herrn Bulling, der direkt am nächsten Tag das Lager durchsuchte und zwei dieser Tassen fand. Ihre Augen hätten nicht größer strahlen können, als sie ein paar Tage später nach einem wunderschönen Spaziergang zum Kirchberghäuschen ihre Tassen überreicht bekam. Vielen, vielen Dank lieber Herr Bulling, dass Sie meiner Tochter die Tassen geschenkt haben.

Schöner und gut bekannter Ort. Leider ist die Beflaggung um zu sehen, ob geöffnet ist, nicht mehr aktiv. Ich bin von dem Betreiber sehr deutlich angegangen worden, dass man ja anrufen kann. Die Qualität der Speisen ist nach wie vor top .

Schön, schöne Aussicht! Das Ambiente ist herrlich, natürlich bei schönem Wetter 🌡ich muss es mal bei Nebel 🌫 ausprobieren da oben, wenn die Wolkendecke, der Nebel unten im Tal liegt ist es bestimmt auch schön zu sehen von da oben. ✌️

DAS Ausflugsziel mit Blick über Bensheim schlechthin, wunderschön zwischen den Weinbergen gelegen! Wie toll, dass sich trotz stressigen Zeiten besonders an schönen und damit gut besuchten Tagen jemand gefunden hat, der das Kirchberghäuschen nun schon seit einigen Jahren erfolgreich führt, pflegt und weiter entwickelt und nicht im Regen stehen lässt. Denn was will man mehr als nach einem steilen Aufstieg zu Fuß hoch dann dort oben mit regionalem Wein und lokalen Spezialitäten den Sonnenuntergang genießen? Unbedingt eine Empfehlung!

Ein wunderschöner Ort zum verweilen. Tolle Aussicht die sich bei leckerem Essen und Getränken genießen lässt. Ein freundliches Personal macht einem den Aufenthalt do gemütlich wie möglich. Wir kommen regelmäßig zu Besuch.

Nach einer sehr langen Wanderung war der Lokal unser letzter Stopp. Zu Fuß bis dahin gegangen und der steile Weg war etwas ermüdend. Es hat sich aber gelohnt, der Lokal ist voll nett, die Aussicht schön und die Weinreben sehr romantisch. Die bieten Wein, Bier und gute Säfte. Was zum essen gab es auch. Also, alles in einem, kann ich empfehlen. Vor allem wenn man mit einer großen Gruppe unterwegs ist, findet man mehr als genügend Platz zum Sitzen.

Bei einem Ausflug nach Bensheim/Umgebung (vorallem bei schönem Wetter) darf ein Marsch zum Kirchberghaeuschen nicht fehlen. Tolle Aussicht mit gutem Essen und Alkohol, und viel Platz für die Kinder zum Toben in der Natur

Tolle Lage mit Blick über Bensheim. Service erwartungsgemäß nett. Essensportionen ok, die Auswahl an gesunden vegetarischen Gerichten allerdings non existent. Das Schnitzel, was mein Freund bestellt hat, war qualitativ sehr gut, allerdings empfand ich den Preis im Verhältnis zur Portionsgröße doch hoch. Konstruktive Verbesserungsvorschläge: - Einführung gesunder vegetarischer oder veganer Gerichte (Chilli Sin Carne, Gemüseeintopf, Kartoffelrösti, Veganes Schnitzel etc.) - Größere Beilage zum Schnitzel

J'adore cet endroit ! Après une très jolie balade pour accéder au "Kirchberghaüschen" (ça grimpe un peu) on profite à toute heure de la journée d'une vue exceptionnelle sur la plaine et les reliefs alentour, sur les vignes toutes proches et la petite ville de Bensheim. Le café/restaurant est cool, tables et bancs en bois, simple et efficace, les vins aux fruits rouges sont délicieux, l'ambiance est sympa et bien sûr le cadre est idyllique :-) Un vrai moment de détente et une grande bouffée d'air quand on vient de Paris !

Wir waren in Bensheim zum Bummeln und sind anschließend raus gelaufen. Die Aussicht ist bombastisch und das Essen war auch sehr gut!

Der schönste Biergarten an der Bergstraße mit genialen Ausblick und freundlichen Personal! Essen und Getränke sind regional und müssen selbst abgeholt werden.
