Great place and cool staff! esp jey!

Oysters were great, everything else nothing to rave about, especially at the price point

The food was excellent, but I found the prices too high. The staff was initially mediocre until I asked for the bill. Instead of the final bill, I was initially only given a subtotal receipt. I asked for a catering receipt, but was told in a somewhat unfriendly tone that I would only receive it after payment. After payment, the receipt was actually handed to me. I find it problematic that they initially only give me a subtotal receipt. Immediately afterward, we went to the bar. There, too, I only received a subtotal receipt when paying. I didn't explicitly ask for an invoice and ultimately only received the subtotal receipt. I have reported this practice to the responsible tax office.

The food and the location are great, but the size of the dishes is too small.

The food here is so good and the vibe in this place is always a 10/10. The service takes long each time in here so that’s disappointing because kink is amazing!

Very nice atmosphere and great cocktails

This is a really cool place! The building and its furnishings alone are very impressive. The bar staff work hard and clearly have a lot of fun together. They also serve delicious cocktails!

expensive puddles, service on the bar is a bit condescendingly but the interior and the vibes are amazing. Ive been there for the island universe party so the 70/80s vibes fit. the crowd was chill, a mix of DJs and friends of the owners such as tourists. but in the end everyone outside talked about the same topic (drugs)

Today I got to eat at Kink with my husband and it was a real treat in every way. The service was absolutely first class - from the start we were pampered with the utmost professionalism, attentiveness, relaxedness and friendliness. Nico, Yannick and Germanos looked after us with a lot of charm and expertise, which made the entire evening even more pleasant. The culinary experience was simply exceptional. The octopus and ox cheek we chose were of the highest quality and expertly prepared. The octopus was incredibly tender - like butter - and perfectly seasoned, with a smoky note, while the ox cheek was a true delicacy with its delicate texture and intense flavor. It was a feast for the senses! After dinner we went to the bar, where the highest level of artistry was at work. The cocktails tasted perfectly together. The bartenders here are great too! The restaurant is a real gem where both the food and service are of an exceptionally high standard. An all-round successful experience that we would be happy to repeat.

A real recommendation for everyone who values ​​quality and a relaxed atmosphere. The service was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We were particularly impressed by the creative and unusual cocktails - you can tell that real professionals are at work here! The crowd was pleasant and predominantly 35+, making for a relaxed and stylish atmosphere. Perfect for a successful evening in good company. We'll definitely be back!

We had a lovely evening last night at Kink. The place is warm, tastefully decorated, the staff are attentive and friendly, and the choice of food and drink is wide and of high quality. The hype surrounding this place is not usurped.

The many good reviews made us curious and so we visited the Kink. It was a great evening, everything went well. What should be highlighted is the great service, super nice and incredibly attentive. The food was sensational, new and innovative. And the ambience really suited our taste. We also really liked the attached bar and were able to end the lovely evening there perfectly. Any time :-)

Was für ein tolles Erlebnis - unser Besuch im KINK war fantastisch. Hervorzuhebn ist der extrem freundliche Service, vom ersten Moment an fühlt man sich willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Das Essen war innovativ und voller frischer Ideen. Es hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Das KINK war für uns eine Entdeckung und wir kommen definitiv wieder.

An all-round successful evening. Both the restaurant and the bar have a really great atmosphere. Separation is a good concept. Restaurant: The food is super tasty and the menu is very harmonious. The wines recommended with the dishes fit perfectly (beef cheeks and Nieport Vertente were a 10/10 match, as was the wild octopus with the Riesling Silberberg). The whole bottle wine list also has some nice treasures. The service was also 10/10. Bear: After dinner we sat down in the bar. There are some nice own creations on the menu, but also a classic like the Old Cuban was very good. The service was also very attentive.

The food was tasty and the service both wheb booking and when in restaurant was very friendly.The only negative part was the fact that 10% tip had been added,without being asked first.The service was very good,but was just strange to have that automatically.Maybe it is the policy of the restaurant and I was just not aware.

Went to this restaurant a year ago and while it was lovely, this time the experience was very disappointing. The main dishes options were very limited and the only beef available was awful. Super greasy. Also, it took a long time for the food to arrive and it was even served on a broken plate. Even after we left our entire plates, no one from the restaurant asked if we liked or if anything went wrong. Poor customer experience. The table was very close to other tables, which is different from the previous time. Drinks were good, the starters were good.

Great service, should be standard in Berlin

Good atmosphere, really bad and expensive coctails. Instead of going here, you could buy a bottle of whiskey from the store and drink it.

Rude staff asked us to leave... My girlfriend and I went to Kink and we left feeling humiliated and angry. The staff in the bar are extremely rude - we were asked to leave for 'not drinking fast enough', even though we had already had a meal in the restaurant with drinks. Our experience in the restaurant was good, we had a nice meal (the food was good, if expensive), and the service was relaxed and friendly. We enjoyed ourselves, so we decided to go to the bar for a cocktail after dinner. It turned out that was a mistake. After being made to wait in a dark corner under the stairs for a table, we were seated upstairs. We ordered cocktails (for 11 euros each) and were happily enjoying them. We'd already had a bottle of wine with the meal, so we weren't guzzling the drinks, but we were not sitting there for hours either. A waiter then approached us and asked us to pay and leave, because we were 'blocking the table and not drinking enough.' We argued, but he wouldn't budge from this position even after we explained that we'd already eaten a meal in the restaurant. We complained to other staff in the bar, who seemed sympathetic, but who ultimately did nothing about it. No new table, no apology, no money off the bill. Overall, Kink has a decent-but-expensive restaurant attached to an overpriced bar, with try-hard cocktails, and rude staff. There are better places to spend your money, and I'll not be calling back.

We have celebrated new year eve yesterday and music, bar, atmosphere, staff and most importantly people are great, great and great! Kink is become our Berliner spot for our next visits! They have very lovely garden where we watched fireworks and enjoying seating outside! We loved the place!

Das Essen hat uns nicht überzeugt, das nächste Mal lieber Qualität statt Quantität. Unsere Hauptspeise wurde verwechselt. Aber die Bedienung war sehr nett und zuvorkommend - das Highlight des Abends. Die Musik auf der Party danach war sehr enttäuschend, weswegen wir früh nach Hause gingen. Preis-Leistung insgesamt überteuert. Wir kommen an einem regulären Tag eventuell wieder ins Restaurant, aber für einen speziellen Anlass wie Silvester würden wir es nicht empfehlen und auch nicht wiederholen.

KINK provides unique, creatively concocted and presented dishes in a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere (definitely come-as-you-are). Local and wild ingredients are heavily featured. The bartender and server offered inventive pairings of cocktails with each course that truly added to the flavors of the dish. The staff are highly knowledgeable, and very friendly. Perhaps not surprising in Berlin, KINK is queer-friendly.

Kink in Berlin is an absolute insider tip! The ambience is unique – modern, yet cozy, with a great atmosphere. The food was an experience for the senses: creative dishes, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. I was particularly impressed by the extraordinary cocktail menu – a real highlight! The service was attentive, friendly and always available without being intrusive. A visit to the Kink is not just a dinner, but an all-round special experience. I'll definitely be back!

After a few minutes it was clear to me: that's 5 stars! The restaurant is in a beautiful location, even when it rains you can come here. At the entrance you are greeted nicely and your coats are taken off. Then we were escorted upstairs, the atmosphere is chic but still very relaxed, warm and friendly. The service is professional, friendly and attentive. The food can't be beat! Bread with lemon together with aperitifs that you can't even describe, just enjoy, unfortunately almost too little! A special taste that had to be noticed across all courses. I'm sure it doesn't matter what you eat, everything is just very special. The beef cheeks were so tender! The duck was a delight! The risotto and the antipasti broccoli and oergine are very tasty but the best thing here was the lamb!! The wine was delicious and the dessert was also very good! It wasn't exactly cheap (around 100 euros per person) but the price-performance ratio was definitely right!

Fantastische Atmosphäre Sehr leckeres Essen und Drinks Tolle Weine

Die Bedienung hinterm Tresen war schrecklich unfreundlich. Wir wollten noch ein paar Drinks nehmen, es war spät, dennoch noch gut besucht. Uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass wir nur bleiben könnten, wenn wir Champagner bestellen- wir wollten aber lieber Cocktails….also mussten wir gehen. Nie wieder, unfreundliches Personal braucht kein Mensch!

First time dining here during my first trip to Berlin. Overall positive experience. Had the oysters, lamb, broccolini, and octopus. The wine pairing was perfect and our server was helpful. We went to the bar next door afterwards and had a great old fashioned.

Es war wieder ein sehr schöner Abend 🤩 wir hatten die erste Gans dieses Jahr und sie war vorzüglich und zart. Dazu leckerer Rotkohl und knuspriger Wirsing: ein weihnachtlicher Genuß! Die aufmerksame Bedienung umsorgte uns liebevoll. Auch den alkoholfreien Sparkling mit seinem zarten Bukett, können wir sehr empfehlen. Danke 💕 an das ganze Team, wir kommen bald wieder!

I didn't go there for the food, but my guests liked the food and the restaurant so much. I joined my friends in drinking wine. It had a nice ambiance and after the meal we went to the area where we could have drinks and it was a much better place. Meanwhile, the DJ was playing very good music. The DJ and his girlfriend were also very polite and friendly. A place I would like to visit again when I visit Berlin.

We were here recently and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was very nice and the food was also very good. Everything was a bit more expensive than elsewhere but it was worth it for us.

Fantastic place, architecturaly very Berlin, with different ambiances. We spent 300€ for 2 in the restaurant, and we were served by 6 persons. We then went to the bar and we got ripped off, but after talking to management they admitted their mistakes and gave the drink money back. Still, 300€ for food for 2 is a bit in the high end... but some dishes were noticeable, like the oysters and the octopus legs.

The atmosphere is great and the food is good (we were there in a group and opinions on the food were a bit divided, the vegetarian menu didn't really convince some people). Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. If you order Cuba Libre without ice (the drink otherwise consists almost entirely of ice), then you actually only get a half-full glass served - on the grounds that the drink was calculated with ice and then it's just a half-sized glass without ice gives! So that's really cheeky. For the last course there were chocolates, but unfortunately there weren't enough left, so not everyone got 3 chocolates, but only 1-2 - that didn't change the price of the menu. There is no flexibility when it comes to cocktails, so you can't order a Caipirinha or Mai Tai. Would I come back? No!

We were in Berlin for a family celebration and ended the weekend at KINK. What a surprise. The first-class food almost fades into the background when I think about the location and the wonderful team. I walked through the restaurant with wide eyes and was just thrilled. This attention to detail. This is guaranteed to be remembered. And when I think about the team, I can't stop raving about it. Everyone makes me, as a guest, feel like I am the most important person at the moment. We were looked after by Patrick that evening. His calm manner, how natural every wish was, was striking. So for me. And I would like to thank him for explaining so much to me. About the KINK. We would love to come back

We ordered two appetizers (lamb + raw fish, can't remember the name), and they were super delicious! For main we shared octopus and potato gratin – also delicious. Food was very enjoyable and inspiring with a lot of taste and good quality. Didn't have much expectations but ended up enjoying every bite. 🥰 Staff was very friendly and considerate and welcomed our family with a baby warmly.

Certainly not a tourist trap per se, but the target audience is "international hipsters" for whom integrity is more important than authenticity. Nice bar, restaurant average and too expensive for what you get. Overall, the store is a bit pseudo, if you know what I mean.

A little difficult to find the first time as it is at the top of the Pfefferberg. You will be rewarded inside with excellent food and a competent, friendly team.

We were there ages ago, so the review is not entirely up to date. But: 5/5 Great restaurant.

This place is a hit and miss. The hostess’s at the entrance were really messy. Especially with crowds, they just can’t handle it all at once. The food is good but I wouldn’t say it’s super balanced. The octopus is really done outstandingly, at the same time the garnish is bland, unseasoned, and just doesn’t work. Same goes to beef checks. Good quality products, excellent cooking skills but the taste is meh. Asian-style Vitello Tonato with ham was definitely a highlight of the evening. The ambience depends on the room, the bar area seems to be the most vibrant. 200€ for 2 appetizers, mains, 1 dessert to share, and a couple of drinks - not worth it.

Basically a great restaurant. Fine cuisine, in a casual style, we felt comfortable and the fear of being underdressed was unfounded. The atmosphere is really nice and the distance to the neighboring tables is relatively large, which was very pleasant. The food was super tasty, we had imagined it to be a bit more experimental. The kohlrabi and hamachi as a starter were fantastic and were our highlight. While serving the bread at the beginning, the bread basket slipped out of the waiter's hand, which in turn fell against my full aperitif glass, which fell over, broke and made my hair, face and entire top wet. The glass shattered and shards landed on me. That was a very unfortunate mishap and can happen at any time, and I didn't want to cause a scene. I was assured I was good and so we continued with the evening. I was offered a free glass of wine and not charged for the substituted aperitif. At the end of the evening I was surprised that this was the compensation... I wonder how I would have been treated if I had worn a satin dress instead of a muslin shirt on which the stains were not so visible. .. In retrospect, the champagne in my hair unfortunately overshadowed the overall experience more than expected, and as a customer I would have liked to have been a little more queen.

I had wanted to come to KINK for a while so I was quite disappointed when the food came and it was quite underwhelming. The beef cheek was particularly sad - not at what you would expect from the dish. The menu is restrictive and unimpressive. I won’t be back.

Enttäuschend unprofessionell im Eventbereich. Ich hatte meinen Geburtstag dort gebucht und zwei DJs angemeldet, die für mich spielen. Irgendeine Person, die ich nicht kenne und auch nicht eingeladen war, drohte damit, die Polizei zu rufen, wenn einer der beiden DJs auf meinem Geburtstag spielt. Leider entschloss sich das Kink, ohne eine genaue Angabe von Gründen dieser Person zu den Umständen, meinen DJ zu cancelln und so war ich leider gezwungen, meinen Geburtstag abzusagen 😞 schade, dass das Kink solche Aktionen unterstützt.

Great atmosphere, both in the bar and in the restaurant area. We were a larger, closed group and sat in the “glass box” on the upper floor. I found this perfect for privacy. The menu was really tasty, all the dishes tasted excellent. The service was very friendly and well organized.

Good food but I fear it’s overpriced for what you ultimately get.

Absolutely superb. The bar space is beautiful. The service was friendly but professional and well informed. The food was out of this world. We all said it was one of the best meals we have ever had. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Great ambience, service and especially food

Excellent gem of a restaurant slightly hidden away from view, but fantastic food and service make this a must visit location for anyone who loves great food!

I visited alone, but everything was perfect: friendly staff, delicious food, and cozy atmosphere. The recommended wine was delicious, and even the octopus dish and dessert were good. One special experience I had was with charging my cell phone. My cell phone battery was almost dead and I wanted to charge it, but there was a separate charging cabinet in the passageway to the bathroom. There was a small cabinet with several compartments that could fit a few cell phones, and all the cables were inside so you could connect them. It was safe because I could put my cell phone in, lock it, and keep the key.

Great flavors, fantastic staff. They recently did a menu refresh and each drink was inspired and fun. Highly recommend!

Overrated. It is unclear how this restaurant received a recommendation in the Michelin Guide. We waited almost three quarters of an hour for the starter. No greeting from the kitchen, no amuse-bouche. The service is sometimes subpar. It was served in front of/over the guest. The plates were carelessly placed on the table without words. Most of the time we had to refill the bottled wine ourselves. You can't taste any of the zucchini flowers because the scamorza cheese drowns it out. Amalfi lemons may have been waved past it. The short ribs were tasty, but consisted of a third of inedible fat. Only the octopus was ok, but nothing more.

We were very disappointed with this restaurant, as what it represents does not match the quality of the main dishes we were served. The meat I was given was just a solid piece of fat, which was hard to eat and made me feel nauseous afterwards. As for the octopus served to my girlfriend, it was the worst I’ve ever had – most of the tentacle was inedible because it was covered in a thick layer of skin, which was unpleasant to eat. The presentation of this dish was also done in a rushed manner. The waiter noticed our dissatisfaction and said he would pass it on to the kitchen, and that was the extent of their apology. I would be ashamed to serve such terrible quality dishes compared to how the restaurant positions itself. The appetizers and service were good, but without the quality of the main dishes, none of that matters. Unfortunately, the KINK team managed to spoil what should have been a special birthday evening. We didn’t want to argue, so we just went to the bar. However, we do want to leave a review so that others are aware they might come here on a day when the kitchen staff isn’t up to standard, and end up with terrible dishes.

We chose this place for a birthday celebration based on a recommendation from friends who were satisfied with their visit. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about my experience. It started well, we tried excellent oysters and what seemed like lamb carpaccio. But after the main courses, our opinion changed. The octopus had a thick, fatty skin that unpleasantly separated from the meat in the mouth. The presentation was awful as well, just a pile of wilted leaves. When I showed the photo to a friend, she was surprised and said that their octopus looked completely different. You can also find other presentations in the restaurant’s reviews and photos. And after all, the main courses are the most important part. My boyfriend was also disappointed with the small portion of too fatty meat served with just a spoonful of corn puree. The mezcal cocktail was mediocre and simple, as were the other cocktails we tried that evening at the bar. Of course, the friendly staff and good appetizers kept me from leaving completely disappointed, but I’m not sure if I’ll return.

Überbewertet. Unklar, wie für dieses Restaurant eine Empfehlung im Guide Michelin zustande gekommen ist. Wir haben fast eine Dreiviertelstunde auf die Vorspeise gewartet. Kein Gruß aus der Küche, kein Amuse-bouche. Der Service teilweise unterirdisch. Es wurde vor/über den Gast hinweg bedient. Die Teller ohne Worte lieblos auf den Tisch gestellt. Den Flaschenwein mussten wir uns über die meiste Zeit selber nachschenken. Von den Zucchiniblüten schmeckt man nichts, weil der Scamorza-Käse alles übertönt. Amalfizitronen wurden vielleicht mal daran vorbei geschwenkt. Die Short-Ribs waren schmackhaft, bestanden aber zu einem Drittel aus ungenießbarem Fett. Lediglich der Oktopus war ok, aber mehr eben auch nicht.

To all people with small children - I wanted to flag some discriminatory experiences we had at KINK bar in Mitte. With friends we were celebrating a double birthday and pregnancy. We arrived early as you cannot make reservations at the bar, to have a chance to sit at the nice big sofa they have there. Not only were we treated poorly and aggressively by the bar owner (we = two highly visibly pregnant women), two friends of ours who brought their small sleeping babies in a carrier were not even let in! Mind you, this policy, if there even is one, is not mentioned anywhere, and these are small babies that were sleeping. All in all we were a group of around 30 people, buying lots of drinks and snacks, and thrown out by the bar owner after some hours, claiming those seats were needed even though they have a no reservation policy. I grew up with family members from a different country and a dad with a big disability, so I’ve seen my fair share of discrimination, but not letting someone in was really something else. I am pretty sure this amounts to illegal behavior, and using aggressive tones with pregnant people is a general no go.

Lively Restaurant & Bar. Stylish and cozy as well. Food is great but I felt that portions are rather small, especially having pricing in mind, e.g. 12 EUR for a potato gratin as a side, which was really tiny. Had a bottle of wine, which was great but with 84 EUR already one of the cheaper ones on the menu. In a nutshell: great location, good services, nice food ... but price/performance was a bit disbalanced, at least for me.

The atmosphere is great and the place is beautiful. I was expecting more from the food and drinks. The starters were fine, especially the aubergine. The octopus was amazing, perfectly cooked. However, the short ribs were 60% fat. Luckily they exchanged them and the second time around they were much better. After dinner we went to the bar. It is a very nice space and they have creative cocktails. Sadly they were extremely sweet. It is defenitly a nice dinner but not sure the quality justifies the cost.

Super experience Food amazing Great quality No big menu but super cool

2 Kidz (7&11) und wir beide waren an einem Sonntag abend da. Besonderes Wreignis: Liveband. Mega Stimmung, Kidz wurden herzlich aufgenommen und mit wieklich leckerem/herben, nix süße Pampe Sekt empfangen. Das Essen ist einfach ein Kunstwerk, jeder Gang eine neue Sinnesanregung. Der Service: phänomenal: herzlich, professionell und super Know-how. Das war bestimmt nicht unser letztes Besuch! Weiter so :)

It was a nice place to eat with friends. The food was good and the ambiance was nice!

El bar es bastante agradable y acogedor, pero la comida aquí estaba un poco bien, no era algo así como un efecto “wau” platos bastante pequeños si me preguntas y básico! 2 tipos de menú degustación aquí, yo tenía el menú omnivor, el primer plato era un poco de pescado “crudo” berenjena glaseada, y principal era “costilla corta” si me preguntas los platos eran un poco pequeños al menos el principal podría haber sido un poco más grande!! El servicio estaba bien, no es la mejor experiencia con seguridad aquí.

We werden na binnenkomst verteld dat het heel druk was en dat we 2 uur hadden om te eten, maar we kregen ons hoofdgerecht pas na anderhalf uur. Waren het enige tafeltje tussen een paar grote groepen, en zaten boven. Was niet echt gezellig. De tijd dat we er hebben gezeten was er overal nog plaats genoeg. Ook in de leuke en veel gezelligere (voor 2 personen) bar. Dus paniek bij binnenkomst was volledig overbodig. Mijn vlees (ribs) bestond voor 70% uit vet. Bediening was wel prima.

Service is very friendly and helpful. Very clean, cozy and subtly colorful restaurant and bar. The dishes and cocktails are imaginative, unusual and taste incredibly delicious together.
