Kings Garden in Bad Salzuflen

This is a great spot at a Chinese buffet in Germany. The food is fresh and there's a wide variety. The owner is warm and attentive. There are plenty of seats. And of course, seafood, which is naturally scarce in Germany, is also plentiful here.

Great atmosphere, delicious food.

It was very crowded and consequently noisy on Saturday. The selection was large and, in my opinion, okay. The food was only lukewarm by the time I got to my table. Around 8 p.m., it started to empty out. The tables were being reset. While doing so, the staff talked loudly and clattered the dishes and cutlery quite noisily. They handled the cutlery by the fork and knife. You got the feeling they wanted the remaining guests to leave as soon as possible, which we then did. I didn't enjoy it. It felt more like grabbing a quick bite at a train station than a proper meal out.

Unfortunately, the food containers were already almost empty and were not refilled. (7 p.m.)

Buffet restaurant with a good selection of food. Very high prices. Three adults, one 2-year-old child, one 5-year-old child, one or two drinks per person totaled over €150, and they didn't accept credit cards. It's really not worth it.

Some of the grilled food was quite tough. The cook mixed up the dishes once. Large selection, friendly service.

Rather poor food. The fried fish was rubbery, the peanut sauce rancid, and all the sauces were unappealing, curdled, and already sticky in dirty, sticky bowls. Furthermore, all the food was cold. You really couldn't call it a salad buffet; the lettuce leaves were moldy, etc. Freshness doesn't look that good. The mussels smell strongly of fish, which isn't acceptable in my opinion, not fresh. The service was mediocre. Taste is subjective, but the price is definitely too high. I've never wasted money so badly in my entire life. We won't be going back to this place.

We really enjoy going here, although we've been going less often since we moved. Good selection, very friendly service. What I miss compared to the past is the soft-serve ice cream machine, which was great. But we're always very satisfied and full.

It was delicious and cool with the robot

Today was a total disaster, eating leftovers was the motto. We were at this restaurant today at 6:15 p.m. When we arrived, all the food containers were already empty. After a while I got the urge and had to ask whether the buffet was ever refilled or whether we should eat the dry leftovers. When I asked, something new was made, but not everything. An absolute no-go. There always has to be something fresh of everything, especially if the restaurant isn't full. But this was absolutely terrible, the motto is: eat the leftovers first, then maybe we'll put something else on! The quality has also dropped dramatically. We won't be coming again. And last but not least, all the guests got a schnapps or wine at the end. We didn't get one, was that because we don't like leftovers?

Beware of rip-offs!!! Buffet meals are no longer charged per person, but rather per plate, without any notification!! Absolute fraud, and also the last time we ate there. €11.90 for a lunch buffet. We went with two people and one drink each and paid over €60!!

This is our second time here and we love it. It's practically too cheap for what it offers. The staff are all welcoming and friendly. The food is good and varied. The restrooms are very well-maintained and clean, and overall, it's nicely decorated. Definitely a must-have for Asian food lovers. Best wishes<3

Today was my first time there since the remodel, and a lot has changed at the buffet. Not only does it look great, but the food on offer is also fresh and delicious. The new counters make everything much more clearly laid out, and everything is clearly labeled. The fresh meat and vegetables, a very good selection, are prepared on the grill with a specially selected sauce. The new helper 😁 then brings it to the table. It was a lovely evening, and we'll definitely be back. It's worth it 👌 Once again, we had a delicious meal. The quality of the food is always very fresh, and there was plenty of it. The fresh meat is well chilled. Unfortunately, you can't try everything; there's just too much to choose from. Still highly recommended 😋😋👌👌👌

This was our last time here. It was greasy, boring, and just like a two-star all-inclusive resort on Mallorca, although I don't know if I'm doing Mallorca an injustice. All this in the ambiance of a gymnasium... what a shame.

My family and I really enjoy coming here. The whole atmosphere is great, the food is delicious, and everyone who works there is very nice. If I could, I would give the friendly service 10 stars.

Just like the stars, I find it mediocre and rather expensive for what it is. You practically have to call the waitress for every drink. The food is heavy on soy sauce; you can get better sushi at any supermarket (which I don't need at a Chinese buffet anyway). Everything was overcooked when it was freshly prepared, and the shrimp was even burnt. The ambiance is a bit messy, dated, and somewhat dingy. There's definitely room for improvement.

I was in this restaurant for the first and last time today. Very shabby and dingy from the outside. Well, I thought. There were people in the restaurant. So I gave it a chance. My husband and I ordered the luxury buffet for 32 euros per person. In return you got non-alcoholic drinks and food in buffet form. The first drink was served quickly. After that you hardly saw the waitress anymore. However, at some point we managed to order a second drink. This was placed on the table without saying a word. The empty glasses were not taken away either. The selection of food wasn't very large. Many containers were almost or completely empty and it took ages to get anything refilled. Some things weren't refilled at all. And it was only 6:30 p.m. Dead flies on the windowsill. All in all very dingy. Service staff unfriendly and inattentive. The man serves as a waiter in sweatpants and a T-shirt. The waitress in a baggy polo shirt. All in all, a restaurant that I cannot recommend to anyone. Never go there again.

Wir waren am Ostersonntag mittags zu zweit essen. Ich muss sagen, dass sie das Management gewechselt haben. Jetzt gibt es auch einen Roboter, der an die Tische liefert und dieser war nicht voll. Mein Mann und ich gingen dorthin zurück, weil wir uns an die Eismaschine erinnerten, die köstlich war, aber mit dem Führungswechsel wurde alles renoviert, einschließlich der Softeismaschine, die es nicht mehr gibt, aber sie haben wie in den anderen Restaurants Platz für Eis geschaffen. Schade, denn es war zum Fingerlecken gut. Was das Essen angeht... nun, ich bevorzuge eher andere chinesische Restaurants. Wir werden wohl nicht wiederkommen, auch weil wir heute für zwei Personen 55 Euro für das Buffet bezahlt haben.

I like Kings Garden. The food is good, the staff is friendly and it is clean. The prices are comparable to other Chinese restaurants. A highlight is the service robot that brings you the grilled food.

The lady didn't know that Fernet Branca was on the menu. German knowledge could be better, a bit of communication problems.

I absolutely can't understand all the negative reviews. I was there for the first time today and the food was delicious and there was a lot to choose from. The selection of things for the grill was also enormous. The service was super nice. It was relatively busy today and the buffet was refilled very quickly when something was empty. I was very skeptical because of the many negative reviews but I'm glad I went anyway. Can only recommend it. :)

Not tasty. Fish raw. Beef fatty. Children scream and ride tricycles right at the buffet. Not worth the money for me.

I would actually prefer not to give a star. The food was absolutely not edible, we actually threw it away. The food was soaked in sauce and the sauce didn't taste good at all. We've had Chinese food in various restaurants but this was by far the worst food we've eaten so far.

I went to Kings Garden for the first time today on the recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately I have to say that I am very disappointed with the food. I prepared a small plate for the Mongolian grill and used the bracket with our table number. When the food was delivered I received a completely wrong dish. It was quickly clarified that this had simply been swapped with the neighboring table. However, the sauces were also swapped. So the person sitting next to me received my dish with his sauce and vice versa. At the same time the meat was very poorly prepared. Fried for too long and occasionally even with a burnt taste. Afterwards I tried the sushi. More specifically the surimi. However, something happened here that was unimaginable for me. The rice-covered surimi was still completely wrapped in plastic. An extremely dangerous and disgusting mistake. The errors described were blamed by the staff on the new chef, who was probably on his first day. As for the staff themselves, I can say that they were very nice and accommodating. However, I will no longer eat in this restaurant and cannot recommend it.

I was there on a Sunday lunchtime and the service wasn't that good

So I wrote a review with 5 stars 3 years ago, but I had to delete it again because after several visits it simply no longer corresponds to reality. The meat is not of good quality, I know what I'm talking about because I'm a trained butcher. What I also found unsatisfactory was the behavior of the "cook". You can have your food freshly fried, but what we saw there unfortunately spoiled our appetite. The cook and also the assistant cook simply touched our food with their bare hands. My colleague also had pasta on his plate, which was simply distributed to other plates, for whatever reason. In addition, some things simply tasted very spoiled. But apart from some mild nausea, we didn't have any further problems during the day. Long story short: the quality is not even remotely worthy of a restaurant. The behavior of the “cook” was absolutely undignified. I won't be eating there again, which is a shame considering I've been there for many years.

Sometimes the food isn't really warm, but if you say something, they try very hard to do everything right. The waitress sometimes doesn't understand what you're saying, but tries very hard.

We wouldn't eat there again. It was far too greasy, the sprouts were swimming in oil and the rice had nothing to do with really nice Chinese rice. The sauce we ordered was also missing. Really no good quality for the money.

We meet there once a month. It's nice to sit there and chat. There is a very large selection of different ingredients or dishes.

Because of the many good reviews, we visited the Chinese restaurant. We were there around 6:30 p.m., many things were already relatively empty and were only delivered after we ordered. From a sustainability point of view, it's not that bad, but on a Sunday evening there should be enough traffic that you should offer enough as a buffet and not à la carte. The fresh meat and fish were really good. The chocolate fountain wasn't running and the strawberry sauce was unfortunately expired :( French fries and baked banana weren't served. The service was really very nice. In order to have an experience at a Chinese restaurant, we would prefer another restaurant in the near future.

Definitely the best option in the area when it comes to an all you can eat restaurant. The food is fresh and very tasty. There is also a counter where raw meat can be prepared and the finished plates are brought to the table using robots.

Still my favorite restaurant far and wide... Addendum: Unfortunately it's now only my second favorite. There have already been two misunderstandings with reservations and the price has also gone up this year, which has meant that my friends and I no longer come here as often. If asked, we should get our own soy sauce from the buffet. The meat dish was just a bit of greasy chicken, covered in 2 kg of dough. I don't want a lot but high quality food and I'm willing to pay more but never here again. I can only understand the stars here if I just want to fill myself up cheaply with fried and stale foods.

It was super tasty again! Since our last visit everything has been redesigned and renovated. Looks very modern now. The highlight was of course the cat robot that brings the grilled things directly to the table. The next visit is already planned.

The staff was very friendly and always tried to ensure there were enough drinks at the table. All 6 of us enjoyed the food very tasty. Due to the very extensive selection of types of meat, which were prepared directly according to your own choice of variety, simply perfect and not overcooked. Sushi, a well-stocked salad buffet, soups, a very large selection of mushrooms are particularly highlighted. A wide variety of side dishes. The finished dishes in the heated buffet are super tasty, with a wide selection of varieties. Dessert buffet rich, colorful and simply great: puddings, fruit, chocolate fountain, ice cream. Sometimes the staff is supported by robots when serving plates, it looks funny but works great.

Food was mixed up, and the hot buffet was warm but not hot. There was plenty of choice.

I haven't eaten Asian food this well in a long time. Everything is fresh and a lot of choice. Were there at 5:30 p.m. But it's better from 6 p.m. because at this time most things are only freshly prepared and on display. Service friendly. Price a little higher than expected. Apparently caught an older flyer. Prices were increased by 5 euros per person. We paid 96.70 euros for 2 adults, 2 children aged 6 and 9, each for 1 drink. It's not exactly cheap, since children really only eat very little. I don't think the relationship is good. Should be better staggered. And drinks for children should be included, such as water or soda. Otherwise recommended.

We ordered the worst food here in a long time. The spring rolls were filled with different, undefined pieces of meat. The beef ChopSuey was swimming in an oily sauce, the vegetables only consisted of onions and two pieces of carrot and the meat was strangely soft and yet totally tough. Unfortunately only something for the bin.

Food a la carte was quite good, I'm a bit spoiled and would like it to be a little more authentic. But understand if you are cooking it for the general public.

So we have been regular customers from the start and have always been enthusiastic about the food. Now it was my wife's birthday and of course we wanted to celebrate it with a meal in the Kings Garden. There were 3 of us and we were shocked at how bad the food was this time. The duck meat was bad and I told the waitress immediately and she said yes it wasn't for dinner. The chicken was cold and half raw. OK, everyone has a bad day, but no response and paying full price left us very disappointed. I hope that honest reports help you to do better. Hoping for answer

Unfortunately, the food was rarely refilled, and when it was, then very little. I know it differently from other buffets of this type. The remaining food in the containers is cold and no longer appetizing. You have to wait forever to order a drink, or you have to go to the front of the bar yourself. I find the old, musty cleaning rags on the floor, which the waiters step on and which I can also kick away with my feet as I walk past, quite annoying. This is super unhygienic right in front of the buffet. If I do that, then at least I'll do it behind the counter... where no one can see it. My child could easily touch the rags and then put them in his mouth or something similar. Please change it urgently, otherwise there will be even fewer. I'll save the photos.

Ambiente ganz ok. Essens Auswahl ganz in Ordnung, nichts besonderes. Leider war das Essen sehr sehr schlecht gewürzt und die Garnelen schmeckten Alt/fade. Besteck und Geschirr mit Flecken bedeckt. Service mehr als nur katastrophal. Sucht euch lieber Alternativen, die sind im jeden Fall Preis/Leistungs technisch stärker! Ein Besuch von Gesundheitsamt, sollte wohl viele Probleme des Restaurants lösen… Ich würde mich über die Reflexion des Inhabers sehr freuen und heiße Verbesserungsschritte für sehr angemessen.

Unfassbar Unfreundlich! Wollten mehr Geld als besprochen, haben je kind jeweils 5€ mehr genommen. Kellnern haben uns angeschrien. zudem war das essen grauenhaft dort! NICHT EMPFEHLENSWERT!!!!!

Die frischen Sachen vom Grill sind top. Die warmen warten schon seit mittags unter den warmhalte Lampen. Bedienung ist unfreundlich. Teller werden auf den Tisch geschmissen . Mittags ist es vielleicht gut, werde ich aber nicht mehr testen.

Ich weiß gar nicht wo ich so recht anfangen soll.....🫣Wir waren in der Woche mit 7 Personen dort. Es war von der Anrichtung der Speisen prima. Die Essens Theke war mit Glashauben bedeckt,damit alles frisch bleiben kann. Soweit so 👍. Das fertige Essen war leider lau warm bis kalt.Jeder kann sich denken wie fast kalte Pommes schmecken und das war nicht das einzige. Das Fleisch welches separat gegrillt wurde war völligst versalzen und zu stark mit Pfeffer gewürzt. Ein Schokobrunnen stand beim Obst.Er war nicht an aber auch nicht sauber🫤. Die Öffnungszeiten sind in der Woche bis 23.30 Uhr ausgeschrieben, ab 20.45 Uhr wurde der Staubsauger und Wischer in den Ess-Raum geholt egal ob Gäste da waren oder nicht.Mit dem Besteck wurde so ein krach gemacht,wir hatten das gefühl man sollte endlich gehen. Getränke,dafür fühlte sich bald niemand zuständig. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht 😞.
