I can recommend the food on site, the selection of dishes is large, even if I chose a dish that overwhelmed me with the spiciness.

Food (bibimbap) was delicious and the ingredients were very fresh. Not the best Korean food I've had so far, would definitely go again.

!NOT HALAL! They advertise halal chicken and there are always a lot of people going to Iftar to eat the fried chicken, but there is rice wine in everything. I was initially told that the whole chicken was halal, but when I asked more closely, a service person said that all the sauces, including the tofu, contain rice wine. Absolutely disgusting to advertise halal chicken so that more come but then sell something like that

Great atmosphere and very nice staff. We came without a reservation and still got a place. The selection is great and the staff was also very helpful in providing advice. The food was incredibly tasty, I can recommend it to everyone and would come back at any time

This was genuinely the best Korean food I've eaten in Germany. Everything was so tasty and the service was fantastic! We waited for a little while to get a table, but it was totally worth it. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Hamburg!

Great place with delicious Korean food. Loved the bibimbap in a hot cast-iron bowl: it came sizzling, with a rich sauce and lots of veggies. The miso soup and kimchi on the side were also really good. Tried the sesame ice cream, served in a paper cup super tasty. Fast service, everything fresh and flavorful. Definitely coming back!

Great atmosphere, very nice service, sometimes a different selection than in other KG stores, which is a shame. Price-performance ratio is rather higher.

I always enjoyed eating here, but what I experienced today was a huge disappointment. I called yesterday to make a reservation for today and they said 6 p.m. wouldn't be a problem. But this evening I was turned away and told that I would have to wait at least 30 minutes for a table. 4-5 tables were free but they were reserved for others. I won't visit the store now and will only go downtown in the future.

When people ask me where do we want to eat, I always reflexively say KG :-) The bibimbap, the cauliflower, the kimchi...all fantastic. The self-made drinks are also highly recommended. Loving it!!! May the quality always remain so great.

For us it's actually number 1 in Hamburg and an absolutely 5 star shop. But yesterday we unfortunately had to have two new experiences. Due to staff shortages, we waited almost an hour for our food. What annoyed us was that the delivery service was busy picking up food at the same time. You ask yourself whether your priorities are right and in such situations it would be better to concentrate on your local customers. The second point was that the quality of the food probably also suffered due to the staff shortage. We love the local chicken sauce, but the meat was tougher yesterday. Because we were so confident beforehand, we gave it 4 stars. We will certainly give Kimchi Guys Ottensen another chance and can recommend it despite yesterday's experience.

Ordered there for the first time and were not disappointed. It was tasty, some dishes could have used a little more spice. The bottom line is that it's not exactly cheap, but overall it's absolutely ok. It was delivered with Wolt - no complaints either.

I haven't been this excited in a long time! There were three of us (reserved for Saturday afternoon), we had a fabulous table, a super friendly waitress, fantastic fried chicken, a delicious bibimbap and a delicious dessert. Price/performance is right, the interior is the crowning glory of the whole thing. Just as delicious as Stadthöfe with a much more cozy atmosphere.

Very beautiful and young place. The service is very good. We got the 12 pieces of chicken with sweet and sour hot sauce and sesame seeds again...just finished, so we got another 6 pieces, 2 individual bowls of rice... We wanted to order salads, but unfortunately it wasn't on the menu. The toilets are spotless, as is the restaurant area. We had soju...so we had a great time.

Kimchi Guys in Ottensen is a great place for authentic Korean cuisine! The double-fried Korean Fried Chicken is a highlight – crispy, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The bowls and kimbap are also fresh and delicious. The prices are ok, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Clear recommendation! PS: reserve in advance!

After having been there several times, I unfortunately found out that the kimchi is not vegetarian/vegan because it is prepared with fish oil! Firstly, that should be on the menu and secondly, in my opinion, it is absolutely out of date! If you order otherwise vegetarian food, why don't the otherwise super nice staff point out to you that the kimchi is not vegetarian? There are delicious vegan recipes for kimchi that taste absolutely no different to those made with fish oil! You wouldn't lose anything by making your kimchi this way, but you might gain some new (vegetarian/vegan) customers!

The food was incredibly tasty and, thanks to the warm "shell", it stayed hot for a very long time so that you could eat in a relaxed manner without the dish getting cold. The drinks menu was also very extensive. And the service was also very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely go back...to try out one or two more Korean dishes.

Top casual Korean, with very good food at pre-Covid prices. Absolutely recommended 5* We had padjeon, tteokbokki, chikin in 2 flavors and kimchi jigae, everything was very good. Very nice service. Reservations are recommended as it is always very crowded.

Auch nach Jahren sind wir begeistert. Das Essen ist hervorragend, man sollte eine Mazza nehmen sie ist das signature Essen des Restaurants. Ja es ist nicht sehr günstig, aber last Euch überraschen, es lohnt sich. Was weniger toll ist, man muss manchmal etwas warten, also nicht zu wenig Zeit einplanen. Aber das war unser persönliches Problem. Probieren!

Tastiest Korean chicken I've ever eaten here as a Hamburg resident. The japchae is also great with beef! It's a shame that with Korean chicken you now have to decide whether you want radish or kimchi (before that you always had both). Generally a bit expensive, but ultra tasty!

We were there last week. I had to change a reservation over the phone and was looked after very kindly by Franzi. Super friendly. I was really looking forward to going to the restaurant afterwards with such service. The food was tasty, although too spicy for my companion, although both had ordered a mild rice bowl with sweet sauce. The atmosphere is very dark and modern. Enough tables and you can sit outside. I found the selection of dishes on the menu a bit limited. But that's a matter of taste.

We waited a long time and were finally seated at a table. When a group came in who knew the one (long-haired) waiter and spoke to each other in their own language, we were suddenly asked if we had just sat down there on our own initiative (with a not-so-friendly tone) and if we should move around the table be reserved at once! (They also said within earshot that we should just sit somewhere else so that the “known” group could sit there) We then canceled our entire order and went somewhere else to eat! Of course they don't need it because there are enough customers. Even if the reservation is correct, it can be clarified better, especially if you are service-oriented. The two waitresses were friendly! That was the last time kimchi guys in Ottensen! We eat at the Kimchi Guys Stafthöfe more often and are otherwise satisfied with the food 👍🏼

I honestly don't understand the hype. Cocktail felt like pure juice, containing little to no alcohol. KG Chikin is more soggy than fried chicken. Desert was okay, but to be honest it wasn't a big hit either.

Ausgezeichnete Qualität aller Menübestandteile (wir hatten zusammen das 4Gang-Menü) und sehr gute Weinauswahl (der Rosé aus Rheinhessen und der großartige libanesische Pinot Noir!). Die beste Ente, die ich je aß-in Kombination mit der Aprikosensauce und dem ebenso perfekt gegarten Lammfilet dazu). Vielen Dank ans gesamte Team und bleibt weiterhin so entspannt und gut!

Ordered food for a group, unfortunately the extra sauces were missing. In addition, the portion sizes are very small for the prices. Ordering kimchi separately is not recommended, it comes in a sauce can, which is simply cheeky for almost 4 euros.

Extremely delicious Korean cuisine. The Japchae and the KG chicken blew me away. With Japchae, I would perhaps leave out the rice that doesn't go well with the noodles and add more of the noodles instead. Prices are clear and fair for Hamburg standards. Great service and the atmosphere is very modern and pleasant. You may have to wait in line a little longer, but it's definitely worth it!

Authentic Korean cuisine - I ordered a bimbimbap. What is strange, however, is that you have to pay extra for kimchi as a “starter”. In addition, the egg was also added to the bimbimbap, which is usually part of Korean cuisine. Service was quick and nice :) Prices okay for the location. I'll definitely come back again.
