Tastiest Korean chicken I've ever eaten here as a Hamburg resident. The japchae is also great with beef! It's a shame that with Korean chicken you now have to decide whether you want radish or kimchi (before that you always had both). Generally a bit expensive, but ultra tasty!

We were there last week. I had to change a reservation over the phone and was looked after very kindly by Franzi. Super friendly. I was really looking forward to going to the restaurant afterwards with such service. The food was tasty, although too spicy for my companion, although both had ordered a mild rice bowl with sweet sauce. The atmosphere is very dark and modern. Enough tables and you can sit outside. I found the selection of dishes on the menu a bit limited. But that's a matter of taste.

We waited a long time and were finally seated at a table. When a group came in who knew the one (long-haired) waiter and spoke to each other in their own language, we were suddenly asked if we had just sat down there on our own initiative (with a not-so-friendly tone) and if we should move around the table be reserved at once! (They also said within earshot that we should just sit somewhere else so that the “known” group could sit there) We then canceled our entire order and went somewhere else to eat! Of course they don't need it because there are enough customers. Even if the reservation is correct, it can be clarified better, especially if you are service-oriented. The two waitresses were friendly! That was the last time kimchi guys in Ottensen! We eat at the Kimchi Guys Stafthöfe more often and are otherwise satisfied with the food 👍🏼

I honestly don't understand the hype. Cocktail felt like pure juice, containing little to no alcohol. KG Chikin is more soggy than fried chicken. Desert was okay, but to be honest it wasn't a big hit either.

Viel Liebe zum Detail, sehr aufmerksamer und herzlicher Service. Ausgezeichnete Qualität aller Menübestandteile (wir hatten zusammen das 4Gang-Menü) und sehr gute Weinauswahl (der Rosé aus Rheinhessen und der großartige libanesische Pinot Noir!). Die beste Ente, die ich je aß-in Kombination mit der Aprikosensauce und dem ebenso perfekt gegarten Lammfilet dazu). Vielen Dank ans gesamte Team und bleibt weiterhin so entspannt und gut!

Ordered food for a group, unfortunately the extra sauces were missing. In addition, the portion sizes are very small for the prices. Ordering kimchi separately is not recommended, it comes in a sauce can, which is simply cheeky for almost 4 euros.

Extremely delicious Korean cuisine. The Japchae and the KG chicken blew me away. With Japchae, I would perhaps leave out the rice that doesn't go well with the noodles and add more of the noodles instead. Prices are clear and fair for Hamburg standards. Great service and the atmosphere is very modern and pleasant. You may have to wait in line a little longer, but it's definitely worth it!

Authentic Korean cuisine - I ordered a bimbimbap. What is strange, however, is that you have to pay extra for kimchi as a “starter”. In addition, the egg was also added to the bimbimbap, which is usually part of Korean cuisine. Service was quick and nice :) Prices okay for the location. I'll definitely come back again.

Very tasty Korean food. The furnishings are very modern and stylish. The waiters are very nice and the food is very authentic, I can only recommend it. However, you should definitely make a reservation a week in advance, as the store is not that big and is always quite full.

Everything we had here was simply delicious. Staff was very kind and they explained the meal in detail while serving it, which was quite professional. Very glad that I found this amazing place in the heart of Ottensen!

Atmosphere and service are very very nice. Food was bland. Tea even more so; essentially 5 EUR for boiled water.

The place is super clean and the staff incredibly nice. The fried chicken is a highlight, the best I've had in Germany. All of our food was also great, tasty, perfectly seasoned and just 10/10. They also have baby chairs, they're also the best we've seen in Germany, quite comfortable for our little ones.

This Asian waitress she took us to a table with reservation at 19, we arrived 18:30! Then we asked her it’s 19 or 22, she said 19!! What the sense give us 30 mins to eat and drink?! My friend from Netherlands and me we got surprised and she moved us to the other table, wish a not happy face! she was exactly a waitress who discriminated same nation!!! After we moved she never come to the table and served other table around, she did ok purpose, for sure. We came for a year celebration but never want to come again! This Korean or Asian waitress definitely not professional!

I know Kimchi Guys downtown, but this place definitely has a better restaurant feel. It is very bright and functionally furnished. We had to wait quite a long time for our food, but the taste made up for it all. My companion had the Korean Fried Chicken and since I'm not allowed to eat spicy food at the moment, I ate Bibimbap Bulgogi with a mild sesame sauce. The range of dishes here is very good and there are also typical drinks.

The food was a bit slow and the drinks took a long time to arrive. The overall taste was pretty good. I ordered stone pot bibimbap and regular bibimbap, a small portion of fried chicken (6 pieces), and got one kimchi, one pickled radish, and a bowl of miso soup.

All in all very disappointing. As an intro: "You have 90 minutes to eat", although we had reserved a table and were informed several times by email that due to high demand you only have 90 minutes to eat. Doesn't seem so ideal to me. Nevertheless, we were still looking forward to the food. Korean was always special for me because after studying I worked for a Korean company for a few years and also spent some time there on business. So I can roughly estimate what the original is. For me, the Han Mi in Hamburg comes closest, or the Hodori in Berlin at the Yorckstrasse train station. The ambience there, which is simple in Korea, simple tables, chairs, decorations - if any at all - and some people still sit on mats on the floor. The food is delicious and varied. Nothing is right here at all. The food is a random one-size-fits-all mash, with only a trace of taste reminiscent of Korean cuisine. I don't understand the positive reviews. Have all the people who wrote this ever been served real Korean food? Or do they just think it's cool to be able to say they've eaten Korean, but are happy that it doesn't taste any different than the Chinese takeaway around the corner so they don't have to get used to new tastes? Just like people in the village have been running to McDoof for generations and believing that it's the wide world. We were there twice today. The first and the last time.

Very tasty food, we shared dakgalbi and dolseot bibimbap. Can recommend the “handmade” drinks. The teas are a bit expensive at 5 euros per cup. Nice atmosphere. I would love to come back to try more dishes. Including tip €70 for 3 people, nice thing.

Echte Empfehlung! 10/10. Ich kannte bisher nur Kimchi Guys in den Stadthöfen, was für mich eher einen Bistro Vibe hatte. Dieser Kimchi Guys ist aber richtig schön groß & bietet ein richtig angenehmes Ambiente! Super clean eingerichtet & geschmackvoll. Das essen war wie immer super lecker & die extrem scharfen Fried Chicken, sind auch wirklich scharf! Der Service war super freundlich & aufmerksam! Ich werde wieder hingehen!

Ab jetzt ist es sehr schwer, ein ähnlich gutes Restaurant zu finden: angefangen beim wirklich netten Service in einem sehr schönen Ambiente und nicht zuletzt der exzellenten Küche ( schon allein Gewürze - ein Konzert für die Zunge!! :)), frische erstklassige Zutaten mit viel Liebe zubereitet und serviert. Und der Nachtisch: ist einzigartig! Jederzeit kommen wir gerne wieder!!
