Kim Wok China Restaurant in Bad Saulgau

We went to the lunch buffet today and I have to say, it was delicious with a more than ample selection, all for an unbeatable price. You could tell because the whole restaurant was packed with retirees. Where else can you find such delicious food at such fair prices? The selection included appetizers like soup or salad, main courses like sushi or various hot dishes, and even dessert. Everyone could help themselves to as many items as they liked. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. Keep up the good work! 😊👍🏻 Top-notch.

I took my teenagers here to eat because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, I can't agree with them at all. First, the positives: the lady, I assume the owner, was very friendly, but that's where the positives end. The buffet was tiny, with one-third fried food like fries and the like, one-third fresh and preserved fruit, and only one-third Chinese or Asian dishes... these tasted bland and were generally awful. You could immediately tell the meat was delivered from a wholesaler. We ordered three buffet items and two bottles of still water, which turned out to be tap water and charged a hefty €3.60 per glass. While the buffet is inexpensive at €11.50 per person, when the food is this bad, you're basically getting nothing for your money. Even my hungry teenagers barely ate anything. I've never had such tasteless and bad Asian food before. I advise against it.

I highly recommend Kim Wok! A super nice Chinese restaurant! The staff is always friendly and attentive, making you feel immediately welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed. We've eaten there several times – even in larger groups – and it's been really good every time. The food is always fresh, delicious, and everything is very clean. The Peking soup is my favorite! For special occasions, they think of loving gestures, such as birthday music – really sweet and heartfelt. What I particularly appreciate: You never feel like you're disturbing anyone or that someone is annoyed – quite unlike in many other restaurants. The staff are polite and genuinely friendly, and that makes all the difference. Debit card payments are also accepted – convenient and uncomplicated. A place where you can truly feel at home and leave satisfied – we'll be happy to come back again and again! 💛

I'm absolutely thrilled every time we eat here. The staff is incredibly kind, accommodating, and polite. You're treated like royalty. The food is always excellent and plentiful. Nothing is lacking, and if there is, Ms. Chen is always there immediately, helping wherever she can with her gracious manner. I can only give this place 5 stars (even though they deserve 10). We ate at Kim Wok Chinese Restaurant again today. I also celebrated my 40th birthday here. The food is always delicious, and they also offer a buffet on Fridays, weekends, and public holidays. I give it 5/5 stars for value for money, as well as for the ambiance. It's beautifully decorated for such a small restaurant. The staff is always very friendly and smiling, and special requests are always fulfilled. The food is always delicious and tasty. Everything at the buffet is always fresh and hot, and the food is constantly being refilled. The only small drawback (but one that's easy to overlook) is that the selection isn't as large as in larger restaurants. But everything we personally value is there, and the price is unbeatable. Keep up the good work!

We were just in the restaurant with my sister and brother-in-law. It was more than half empty and cold. They only refilled the beer upon request, and that was a big discussion. The beer was warm, and they didn't tell us that the buffet was only open until 9 p.m. My sister then asked for the bill and was thrown out. The person in charge was very rude and overwhelmed.

Very friendly staff, extensive buffet, and reasonable prices. You can even choose your own raw meat and raw fish and bring it to the grill. Everything is very well labeled, and there's something for everyone. I noticed that you can also pay by card if you prefer. I'll definitely be back.

They only take German cards and where get rude to my mum me and my mum’s boyfriend and insulted my mum and baratted me about my parents having no money even though we do and over al the food was not fresh and the whole atmosphere was ruined

Very Disappointing First Visit – Poor Service and Payment Issues This was my first visit to this Chinese restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing – mainly due to the poor customer service and unclear payment options. The restaurant only accepts German bank cards or cash – no international cards such as UK bank cards or Revolut. There was no visible notice or sign informing guests of this, which is absolutely unacceptable, especially in a small village where the nearest ATMs are either far away or out of service. When we had trouble paying, the owner reacted extremely rudely, saying, "If you don't have money to eat here, you should cook at home." I left my 14-year-old son in the restaurant while I looked for a working ATM. Meanwhile, the staff began to question him about whether his parents even had money to pay – which is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. No child should be treated this way. This experience raises an important question: How should tourists handle such a situation? If international cards are not accepted, this must be clearly communicated at the entrance. It's unrealistic to expect every visitor to carry German cash or a German card—especially in an area with limited access to functioning ATMs. While the food was fine, the lack of hospitality and respect for customers—especially tourists—is absolutely disappointing. I will definitely not return and cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the region.

I recently visited this restaurant and was disappointed that I couldn't pay by card. These days, I think it's common practice to offer card payments—especially if this isn't clearly communicated upfront. I recommend making this information clearly visible to avoid any unpleasant situations.

Everything's great, but there are some strange people there who only have greedy intentions. I find some people's behavior at the buffet lacking in style.

The food was really tasty and we opted for the buffet, which was a good choice. However, some dishes were often empty in between, which was a bit of a shame. Unfortunately, the table service sometimes left a lot to be desired - it took quite a long time until we got something to drink. Maybe it would be a good idea to offer a self-service tap like McDonald's. This would not only make service more efficient, but also reduce the burden on staff and provide guests with a more pleasant experience.

There is very little food on the menu. On the subject of the map - this can be ordered from a tablet on the table. It may be modern, but I personally didn't like it at all. There were 3 of us. The rice was cold and the meat never came with it. The 1st was finished eating until the 3rd had his. It doesn't work at all!!! The restaurant was overrun with guests, although I can't understand why. Immediately after paying we had to vacate the table. So it's all about sales. You don't have to count on me there anymore.

Ich habe das Vergnügen gehabt, das Kim Wok Restaurant in Bad Saulgau zu besuchen und möchte gerne meine Eindrücke teilen. Das Restaurant bietet eine solide Auswahl an Speisen, einschließlich eines Buffets, das gut präsentiert ist und verschiedene Gerichte enthält. Geschmacklich kann das Buffet überzeugen, es gibt nichts zu bemängeln, aber ich habe schon bessere asiatische Buffets probiert, die mir geschmacklich etwas besser gefallen haben. Dennoch ist das Kim Wok auf jeden Fall eine Option, um dort zu essen. Der Service war angenehm und entspannt und Freundlich. Wenn das Restaurant gut besucht ist, kann es zu Wartezeiten kommen, aber diese sind akzeptabel. Die Toiletten befinden sich im Untergeschoss und sind daher nicht gut für Rollstuhlfahrer geeignet. Alles in allem ist das Kim Wok eine solide Option für eine Mahlzeit. Das Ambiente ist durchaus ansprechend, doch leider wirkt alles etwas eng gestaltet und dadurch etwas erdrückend. Aus diesem Grund fällt es mir schwer, dort für längere Zeit zu verweilen. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist auf jeden Fall Akzeptabel.

Nettes freundliches Personal. Schönes passendes Ambiente. Sehr sauber. Super mongolisches Buffet mit reichlich Auswahl. All You can eat am Freitag, Samstag und Sonntag jeweils ab 17.30 Uhr. Speisen alle frisch und wird immer drauf geschaut das am Buffet nichts ausgeht. Preise sind nicht übertrieben. Da wird man auch mit kleinem Geldbeutel mehr als satt.

Super Restaurant, die Bedienung ist super nett, vor allem die Besitzerin! Sie versüßt einen den Tag! Sind Stammkunden und sehr zufrieden!!

Ich war in dem Asiarestaurant am Samstagmittag, um mich durchs Buffet zu essen. Es gibt keine riesengroße Auswahl, aber das wichtigste ist dabei und kann sogar auf Wunsch gebraten werden. Das Essen war lecker und die Bedienung schnell und freundlich. Toiletten halbwegs sauber. Mittagsbuffet und kleines Johannisschorle kosteten mit Trinkgeld nur 20€. Einzig 2 kleine Kritikpunkte: Zwar gibt es Mittagsbuffet bis 15h, aber trotzdem ist es ratsam, so früh wie möglich zu kommen, sonst wird manches (Sushi) nicht mehr nachgeschoben. Leider ist nur drinnen sitzen möglich (aber draußen in dem Gässle wäre es auch nicht sonderlich einladend).

Passt alles bestens, nur zu empfehlen...

Sehr leckeres Büfett am Abend gegessen... Schöne Auswahl... Es wurde auch mongolische Küche angeboten... Netter Service und schönes Ambiente...
