Absolutely terrible! We had reserved a table for two (Saturday, 6 pm) and were sent upstairs. The waiter there was very friendly, but that was about the only positive thing we could say. After about an hour, we still hadn't received about half of the food we'd ordered from round two (we were now on round four). The hot food arrived either cold or lukewarm. When we asked, the server told us that it was very busy downstairs and he would check. After a short while, we were told that even the kitchen didn't know if we would receive the missing dishes. We complained several times and sent back cold food. There wasn't enough time left for the dessert we'd ordered, and it never arrived. According to comments from the next table, we weren't the only ones who had received only half of what we ordered. One couple left after even their drinks hadn't arrived. There was no offer of compensation on the bill or anything like that as an apology. Something is seriously wrong here. We do not recommend this place and it will be our last visit. A real shame.

After a long time, we went to Kikko again and were unfortunately very disappointed. The food was cold, there were bones in the fish, and the meat was still raw inside. And for that, we paid €90 and suffered from nausea for several hours.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience :-( We had a reservation for six people for 6:15 pm, made four weeks in advance. Despite this, we were seated in the furthest corner upstairs. Even after asking if we could sit downstairs, even with a wait, we were told it was full. "First come, first served," was the restaurant management's policy. Frankly, this makes you wonder why you even bother making a reservation. Once we arrived upstairs, we had to wait about 30 minutes for the ordering tablet. Only then could we order drinks and the first round of food (sushi, appetizer salads, roast duck, beef, etc.). Another 45 minutes or so passed before the first dishes were served – by which time we had already given up on rounds two and three. The food arrived gradually, but almost exclusively without the meat dishes. The duck, fish, and chicken from the first round weren't served until round three – and then they were cold. We asked several times We pointed out to the waiter that dishes were missing or arrived cold, but no one seemed to care. When we asked to speak to the restaurant manager, a young employee came, listened to our complaint, and offered us a round of drinks on the house as "compensation." However, when we tried to order, they stopped after the second person – they would only cover two drinks, as they "didn't want to pay for everything that evening." With six people at the table, we felt this was inappropriate rather than generous and therefore declined. We are well aware that the restaurant was very busy that Saturday evening, and we generally understand longer waiting times. However, when these come at the expense of friendliness and hospitality, it is inexcusable in our opinion. In the end, we spent almost four hours in the restaurant, for a total of six rounds of food. At a price of around €35 ​​per person, we have to say: the service was simply poor. I can only advise everyone not to let themselves be seated upstairs. We will unfortunately not be returning to this restaurant. We'll see each other again – because hospitality begins with friendliness and attentive service, and unfortunately, both were sorely lacking here. Too bad, Kikko... :-(

The food and service were very good, but the tables are so close together that you constantly overhear the conversation of the person sitting next to you. The tables are already very small, and then everything is crammed together like that – not pleasant at all.

The food is prepared quickly and doesn't take long to arrive. It's great that there's a vegan option; unfortunately, I don't eat sushi like my friends! The tables are nicely set, but I would have liked some small partitions with plants or something similar! Everyone outside can see what's on the plates, but the atmosphere is good, and the staff is incredibly fast, friendly, and attentive! I've learned how to eat cheaply, quickly, and deliciously here! I'll definitely be back.

Great concept – easy to order via tablet! We had a good time together!

Very expensive. It doesn't cost that much. The taste is strange, the cream cheese falls into curls... I reserved a table online for lunch, but I received a cancellation email stating that the restaurant only operates in the afternoons at full price during Christmas (the lunch menu is about 10 euros cheaper), even though the website indicated they were open for lunch reservations and that they offered a lunch menu on weekends and holidays.

The price-performance ratio is not justified. The food was okay, but nothing special. The selection is rather limited. Drinks and special dishes cost extra. We wouldn't recommend it. The service was good, and the atmosphere was nice too.

We booked a table for five people today at 2:30 pm. The food tasted good (at least what was still available). The website states that you have 2.5 hours for the all-you-can-eat buffet, however, the kitchen closed at 3:30 pm, so we couldn't order anything else, and the leftovers arrived cold. Many items were no longer available after the first round, but this wasn't communicated to us; they simply didn't arrive at our table. We only found out that a particular dish was no longer available after asking. The service was friendly, but we should have been informed beforehand. For the price, the selection was generally limited, and because some of the few items were no longer available, it was difficult to find anything. The price/performance ratio is poor. There are better options, such as Yumini in Dortmund or Jusho in Münster.

Only two stars...The soup was almost cold, the lamb only lukewarm and very overcooked...some of our orders arrived twice...the service was courteous and really friendly...it's a shame, we had expected more.

Here, the food is served not just on a tray, but also on a tray. For €34.90, you can order up to 40 (!!!) dishes. The selection is very varied and delicious, and it's served by a highly motivated and incredibly friendly crew. And all this in a lovely setting right in the heart of Dinslaken.

There were five of us for dinner, and it was perfect! The food was incredible, and so were the drinks! They offer sushi, for example, but also beef fillet and chicken breast. The vegetarian options are also very extensive. Sitting outside isn't recommended at this time of year, but the ambiance inside is all the better for it! The restroom is upstairs, accessible by elevator. The staff was very friendly and tolerant. I was even allowed to bring my 13 rabbits, but the chefs almost accidentally put them on the menu! 😅

We often come to Kikko in Dinslaken. The all-you-can-eat menu offers a wide selection, from fresh sushi to grilled dishes to delicious desserts. Ordering via iPad is super convenient, and the food is brought to your table quickly and freshly. The ambiance is modern and cozy; even when it's busy, the atmosphere remains pleasant. The staff is always friendly and attentive.

I find it very tasty but a bit less

As a sushi fan, I've really missed a place like this in Dinslaken. The tablet ordering system is fun, but most importantly: the sushi is fresh and delicious! ... I'll be back often and will have to practice until I can survive more than six rounds of ordering 😋

Perfect, something new... They explain how to order with Lappi really well. Fast...hot...delicious. The only criticism is the completely dirty LEDs hanging from the ceiling. We had table 2...it's not so nice if something falls off.

We've been regular guests at Kikko for about two years and have always been very satisfied. Unfortunately, our last two visits have been negative. The menu has been changed, meaning my favorite dish (sushi with scallops) is no longer available. Furthermore, the maximum order quantity per round has been reduced from 5 to 4 dishes. This has unfortunately made the restaurant less attractive for us. It's a shame that we now have to look for a new sushi restaurant.

Disappointing experience at KIKKO Sushi and Grill We spent almost €100 on our order and received only two small trays of very small and poorly rolled sushi. The expectations raised by the restaurant's pictures were not met in any way. The photos absolutely do not reflect how tiny the portions actually are. They advertise attractive and lavish presentations, but the reality is quite different. Additionally, we had to wait more than 20 minutes for our order to be ready. For such a high price and the wait time, we would have expected significantly better quality, quantity, and service. Overall, the value for money is completely out of this world – the sushi is disproportionately expensive, and neither the taste nor the presentation justifies the price. If you're happy to feel cheated out of your money and an unnecessarily long wait, then this is the place for you. One thing is for sure: We will never visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it to anyone.

Wir waren seit vielen Jahren regelmäßig Gäste dort. Das Essen ist nach wie vor sehr lecker. Leider ist der Service sehr schlecht geworden. Unser Tisch wurde andauernd vergessen und wir haben mitbekommen, dass es anderen Tischen auch so ging. Wir haben drei mal nach unserem Essen gefragt und wurden dann noch sehr (!) unfreundlich und unprofessionell angeflaumt. Das Essen der zwei vergessenen Runden kam bis zum Ende trotz drei mal nachfragen nicht. Und dazu war man noch sehr unfreundlich. Nachdem wir wirklich viele Jahre regelmäßig dort waren, war das nun leider das letzte Mal, denn schlechteren Service habe ich selten erlebt.

It was a good experience. There was a wide variety of food to choose from and the service wasn't too long. What I didn't like was the rice; it was a bit too sticky, but everything else was pretty good.

The quality has dropped drastically! And the hot dishes as well. Another negative point is that they reduced the number of items per person in the evening to four. A very cool shop, very tasty, and a pleasant atmosphere. There are people who are used to other sushi, higher quality or with more decorations and all that. But I think the people who come here repeatedly want exactly what the people and the shop offer. I've been going to the shop for years, and ordering with the iPads at the table is simply fantastic. It's a great place to sit with groups and have a relaxed evening with plenty of food. Everyone will be full for two servings. I really recommend it—even if it occasionally happens that some things get forgotten or people arrive very late, it's a great shop. You have to be understanding, and it can happen. Out of 10 visits, maybe 1 was like that. So, it's bearable. Highly recommended.

The sushi quality was inconsistent and mostly mediocre to poor for the price. The rest of the products were the same. The teriyaki chicken and the sashimi were truly disgusting. Therefore, the price was not justified.

Prices have risen, order quantities are decreasing, and unfortunately, sushi pieces are getting smaller and smaller—cutting corners are being cut at every turn with higher prices…

I went to Kikko again after a loooong time, and unfortunately, I have to say I won't be going back. The food was mostly tasteless. The rice was a mess, and many of the dishes were inedible. Compared to other restaurants, there's an incredibly limited selection. And all for a ridiculously high price... What really deserves praise are the waiters. I haven't experienced such charm and dedication in a long time. However, that wouldn't be a reason for me to visit the restaurant again for such an incredibly high price. What a shame!

What an incredible cheek! We wanted to eat there today and, of course, had made a reservation after the Facebook promotion. And then the rude awakening... Completely overbooked, and the staff left people standing in the entrance. They told us to come back after 40-50 minutes and "hope" for a table. I've never experienced anything like that before. Never again!

It used to be our favorite restaurant. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined dramatically in recent years. Many things now cost extra, despite the high buffet prices. If you're not paying close attention, you only notice it at the end when you get the bill. The drinks were all warm, the glasses were cloudy, the table was sticky, and several items ordered via tablet weren't brought at all or only several rounds later. What we found worst, however, was that we were only a hand's breadth away from the tables to our right and left, and we could hear every word, no matter how quietly murmured. We even had to move our table so that the guests on the benches to our right and left could take their seats. However, when we have no children, we like to be alone together, able to chat relatively undisturbed, and not eat shoulder to shoulder with strangers. It's a shame, but that's not our thing anymore.

I like the atmosphere. However, some tables are very dark, so your eyes suffer after a while. That's why I recommend booking a table by the window or on the first floor early. In addition, the tables are very close together, especially on busy days, so it sometimes feels oppressive. But it's worth going to Kikko for the food. The sushi and desserts in particular are delicious and inexpensive. Food is ordered via an easy-to-use tablet. Unfortunately, Kikko does not have its own toilet, so you have to use the public toilet in the Neutorgalerie. This can be reached quickly via an elevator. I can generally recommend the restaurant.

Unfortunately the food is completely overpriced in relation to the quality. Potato rostis that are available in every cheap supermarket, sauces that also taste like they come from the supermarket. Very dark ambience, defective flickering lamps that have obviously been broken for a long time. “Lifestyle” is sold at a high price here. The only plus was the waiters were SUPER NICE and hard working.

The food was delicious and the modern tablet ordering method is convenient. The staff is friendly, but there are sometimes organizational weaknesses. It was particularly unfortunate that the table preparation for the birthday was forgotten despite the promise. At least there was a cocktail for the birthday child as an apology. Overall a good restaurant with little room for improvement in the service.

We (3 people) were here on New Year's Eve. Things didn't go as planned. When we got to the third course, one person was still missing food from the first course. It wasn't possible to eat together because the food only came moderately, let alone at the same time. When we complained about this, after several delays, everything came at once. Really not nice. A waitress probably told this to the boss, who then said that she couldn't help it either. Customer-friendly and accommodating are definitely different. We were here for the last time.

Unfortunately, orders often come all over the place or at long distances so that someone can often eat alone. And the warm things, especially the beef, are 90% cold when they arrive! And I don't know why 1kg of sesame has to be on everything. Perfectly ok for sushi, for everything else I'd rather go somewhere else.

We've been visiting Kikko for years and it's really no secret that the quality has deteriorated after the pandemic, but what we've experienced now just didn't work at all. This time we were there spontaneously at lunchtime, and the selection of food is always smaller than in the evening. That wouldn't be so bad if it tasted good. Sushi was a complete disaster, tasted old. Chicken teriyaki was absolutely overcooked and the tasteless, fried vegetables, which mainly consisted of pepper strips. Mushrooms inedible, tasted like feet that had fallen asleep. Spinach salad ice cold, an absolute horror for people with sensitive teeth. I could go on and on, but after the criticism I would also like to praise the quick and very friendly service. The service has always been very nice so far and that's why the one star really only applies to the inedible food and the absolutely terrible music to fall asleep to.
