Keio Gourmet in Neu-Ulm

We visited the dinner buffet on August 8, 2025. We were actually a bit appalled by some of the things. Our drinks arrived warm, and we had to wait 30 minutes for the first plate we put together to fry, even though it wasn't busy. The plate itself sat on the counter for 20 minutes before it was even fried, which we personally found very unhygienic, given that there was also meat and fish on it. Most of the fried items tasted of fish; presumably, they fried everything in the same oil. The quality of the food left a lot to be desired. The desserts were all warm and not chilled, which meant they weren't fresh and tasted sour. The worst thing for us, however, was that an employee walked through the buffet all evening with a fly swatter, swatting away the many flies sitting on the food. It looks very unappetizing, and you can't do that in a restaurant. Her job was apparently to constantly stir the dried-out sauces and food, which had already dried out when we arrived. We didn't tip, so she threw our change at us and didn't say goodbye. All in all, we wouldn't come back.

Unfortunately, it has declined considerably. You can do it once, but you can also leave it alone.

Not a recommendation from me! You really don't expect much when you go to a buffet, but here it's a waste of money. The unfriendly and stressed staff unfortunately couldn't even bring the right drinks when they finally got to the table. The teapot was half empty because the contents kept spilling onto the tray. The food, unfortunately, didn't taste good at all; it was totally bland and unseasoned. There was raw fish in the fruit container because the containers were facing each other, and it must have somehow gotten in there. But it wasn't noticed and wasn't removed because the containers weren't refilled often enough. The kids didn't want anything to eat; even the fries weren't tasty because they were fried in the same oil as the sushi, chicken, duck, shrimp, and probably the banana balls. The parking lot is large, but unfortunately, there are also cars belonging to the vendor next door, which are for sale. Conclusion: unfortunately sad

Saturday lunch was very bad. No meat/fish or vegetables for grilling, very little choice, and very loud staff. So never again.

In our opinion, the food standard is getting worse and worse. From the beef with lots of gristle, to the very dry rolls, to the lifeless dessert. Yes, it's an "all you can eat" option, but it used to be much better. And sometimes the soup plates are dirty.

The quality has declined considerably. The duck was very poor, and the beef was tough. Some of the soup bowls were dirty. We were very disappointed. We won't be back.

So, we had the buffet, and it really wasn't good. Cold/hard fries. Dry rice. The meat was dried out. The fruit was brown. And the stuff you could add to the roast was personally disgusting to me. The waitress was very nice. But they can't be blamed for the incredibly bad food.

Fish and seafood were half-raw. Buffet was partly cold. Coke was stale.

Nice Chinese restaurant. They have a buffet with a wide selection. I just miss the crispy chicken. Unfortunately, they only serve breaded chicken. The reason the food only gets three stars is that it's lukewarm, not really warm. Otherwise, the taste is delicious.

When we picked up our food, the waitress sat at the counter and yelled at us loudly the whole time. It could be heard all the way out into the parking lot. We've never experienced such poor treatment as a paying customer. Never again.

We've always really enjoyed Keio Gourmet. Unfortunately, our experience today was appalling. The staff were rude and unwelcoming, as usual. Two of them couldn't even take our drink orders in German. The food is usually delicious and fresh, but today it was cold and stale, and the duck was very tough. And for that, we paid €33 per person for lunch. The food tasted the same as it did yesterday. The fruit wasn't fresh either. The drinks and the room were very warm. We really hope it was a one-off and that the quality will improve again. Four of us ate here, and everyone who attended shared this opinion. Otherwise, we'll probably have to find a new all-you-can-eat restaurant.

This is not only disrespectful, but also a disgrace. I've never experienced anything like it. Furthermore, the hygiene in the restaurant was appalling. The floor was dirty, the tables were sticky, and the dishes didn't look clean. Under these circumstances, you lose your appetite. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. The service was terrible, the staff rude, and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Never again!

RIP-OFF THROUGH AND THROUGH!!!!! There's a buffet with and without drinks (non-alcoholic), BUT! Everyone at the table has to take the same amount!!!! But if someone wants to drink alcohol, they have to pay extra? What's that supposed to mean??!?!?!?! The food isn't exceptional, the dessert was thawed and ready-made. The food was greasy. The waiters were hardly there and weren't very friendly. I won't be back.

When we asked if they could please prepare some more sushi (because it was completely empty), the lady exploded with rage... We immediately went home. We visited the restaurant on the recommendation of a work colleague. Paid 31.90 €uro per person. There was already the first restriction here, only non-alcoholic soft drinks. At other restaurants you pay less and also have beer and wine. The staff wasn't very friendly and the food from the buffet was also below expectations. Had meat that wasn't even cooked through and was still raw inside. Unfortunately the price and performance are not right here, we won't go there again.

Unfortunately the signs were missing for some dishes. The service leaves a lot to be desired. There were several waitresses but unfortunately plates were only cleared from the table every now and then. We only received glasses for our drinks after asking several times. There was food on the floor at the buffet that was not removed during our stay.

We were here for the third time on Valentine's Day and were unfortunately very disappointed. The first two times everything was great but the last time it was terrible. People walked around the buffet looking for something to eat and ended up taking whatever was available because more than half of the bowls were empty. There wasn't even rice available. Due to the complicated and unfriendly conditions and the drinks policy that was incomprehensible to us (two at the table wanted a buffet including "all you can drink" and 2 wanted to charge for food from the menu and drinks separately. Last night at 8:30pm we visited Keio Restaurant to try out the all-you-can-eat buffet. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The restaurant closes at 10 p.m., but even at that time the buffet was in poor condition. The chocolate fountain was no longer in use and the refrigerated foods such as meat, dessert no longer looked fresh. We were the only customers, which gave the impression that it wasn't worth it for the restaurant to maintain the food or equipment for us. For the price you pay, the offer was in no way satisfactory.

So we were really disappointed with the place; wanted to "try out a different buffet restaurant", but should have stayed with our usual host: the buffet was mostly empty (not to mention the food on offer), the taste was also rather disappointing and the employees didn't seem to be very motivated to be. You had to order drinks - even though they were included - and then you waited forever for them. At the other restaurant we were used to simply taking it out of the fridge. There are also alcoholic drinks and coffee, which apparently isn't the case here either. Conclusion. We probably won't go there again 😪.

Hello, we were there last night at 8 p.m. The shop is really not recommended, the food is very salty, the sushi was warm and therefore very unappetizing. Most of the things don't taste high quality and yes, I know that it's an all you can eat and not a gourmet restaurant so you can't expect top quality but that's really not possible. If the conditions are so unfriendly you get other drinks as ordered. I really wasn't convinced, it's a shame :( The only reason it really scores points is the restaurant itself, it looks beautiful!

I have been going to this restaurant for many years and have always enjoyed coming since I moved to Munich “until today”. The quality of the dishes has declined significantly in recent years and the service is now subpar. I had arranged to meet there for dinner at 1:15 p.m. today because, according to the homepage, the opening hours on public holidays are 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Well, when we were in the middle of a conversation and had just eaten two small plates, the waitress pointed out to us that we could get another dessert and that they were closing in 15 minutes. We were a little unsettled and asked if today's meal wasn't under the heading of "holidays". The waitress said “no” and left again. Well then, for better or worse, we had to leave half hungry, but when we wanted to pay it was 22.90 euros for the meal. I asked again why I now had to pay the “Sunday & public holiday price” when we were just being “kicked out”. The waitress said very snippily that it was the opening hours. When I pointed out to her that the homepage said something different and that we would have come earlier, she just said “yes, that's old, she has nothing to do with that and we can still sit, but without food and they would Then turn off the light.” There was no apology, no accommodation, nothing! Just super unfriendly! In the end we paid full price for next to nothing and went to McDonalds. I haven't experienced anything so outrageous in a long time. The avocado sushi was already BROWN inside, the caviar sushi had WORMS on it and the seaweed salad tasted like sour milk!!! The sauces in the dishes were heavily thickened and concentrated, and the dishes themselves were soggy. I strongly suspect that they were prepared the day before and kept warm. The chocolate fountains were out of use, covered in numerous layers of dried crust on the outside and stuck together, apparently for a long time. The fat separated from the chocolate at the bottom of the collecting container and floated to the top as a greasy film. The sushi wasn't refrigerated, so I didn't dare eat it. It is clear to me that for the low price you can at best expect snack quality and convenience food, but at least it could be fresh and appetizing. The staff often shouted at each other and seemed very stressed. The tables and chairs are already very worn. I hope that the other buffet restaurant in Ulm Söflingen will soon be finished with the renovation.

Worst restaurant in Neu-Ulm. Hands off! The sushi offerings and fish in general are not edible there. Both had massive stomach problems after the visit. Went to the doctor because I suspected salmonella. Result: food poisoning. The health home office should definitely stop by here (we were also notified). Unfortunately the store looks very unhygienic. The overall package is reflected in the quality of service: you are neither greeted nor farewell. It is incomprehensible why something like this can even exist. By the way, the restaurant was closed for a long time some time ago (guess why).

Shortly before 8 p.m. we found ourselves standing in front of a very desolate and sparsely stocked buffet. The food from the grill and the drinks took an outrageously long time and unfortunately both didn't really taste good. The food from the grill was too greasy, but hot. Unfortunately the buffet was cold and completely over-spiced. The iced tea was undrinkable. The whole thing is then topped off with a cost of €31.90 per nose.

Unfriendly service and bad food. Not a good combination...
