Update, October 23rd, 2024: Simply fantastic again this year. Top service and fantastic Greek food. Went there for the first time yesterday. We are currently on vacation here at Edersee. The food, service and friendliness were great. We had a really great store. The restaurant is small and cute. Gladly again. Special requests were also addressed without any problems. Really great value for money.

We didn't have a reservation, but we were still welcomed very warmly. Very child friendly. Service was super nice & quick. Everything very tasty! There was even a little treat bag for the little ones: with ice cream, gummy bears and lollipops. We can only recommend everything!

We went to the Athens Restaurant for dinner with 8 people for my birthday. All guests were completely satisfied with the food, I personally have never eaten such good gyros as I did there. The service is also perfect. Friendly, quick, thorough. All orders were correct and were brought to the table promptly even though the restaurant was completely full. At the end there was ice cream and lollipops for the children and the adults either got an ouzo or Baileys, other drinks were also offered. It was definitely not the last time we were there, 100% recommendation for the restaurant and the employees.

A great Greek. You should reserve a place in advance. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Class. The food is good, fresh and tastes delicious. The portions are reasonable. For me, the gyros could be a little spicier and the garlic bread could also taste like garlic. But you don't smell like garlic.

I visited Athens for the first time with two friends. We had a nice seat outside. The staff was extremely friendly and on the ball. The food arrived very quickly and tasted incredibly good! 😍 We would love to come back! ♥️

Super arrogant women working there, probably in the kitchen, the way you looked. At first I wanted to eat there, but after this arrogant, strange information I didn't want to go there anymore!!! You should remain friendly to the holidaymakers, because you also want to earn money from us. Here in Northern Germany we are friendlier!

Yes, what can I say. We've had it on our minds to eat here for 5 years, and today was the day. We weren't disappointed. The food was outstanding, as was the service. The ambience is a bit atypical, but that doesn't matter. It fits as is. We'd love to come back.

We were there for the first time today and ate standard gyros, baked sheep's cheese, farmer's salad and a lamb shank. The staff was super nice and very accommodating. The food was simply very tasty and the price/performance ratio is very good. All in all, highly recommended and we will definitely and happily come back.

I was a bit skeptical at first because it was very crowded both inside and outside! But the boss and his employees create an excellent atmosphere with a lot of warmth, which makes you forget the busy business. Very fast service and incredibly great food. We are thrilled with our child! Reservations are mandatory! We will be back!

Were there today and had 2 salads that were good, extra dressing would be very good and unfortunately it was hardly to be found in the salad. The bifteki was a pleasure but not a tzaziki as you would expect. Unfortunately there was a red sauce that was watery and no onions or vegetables and then the price of 15 euros is unfortunately too much...but we are just vacationers😔☹️

We were there at 12 p.m. during the week and didn't have a reservation. We were the first guests and had free choice of table. The choice of food is typically Greek, there are also many dishes with rice instead of fries. We had Suzuki with rice and tzatziki (€14.50), the portion size was okay. In order to keep the prices on the menu from escalating, the dishes are offered without a side salad. We also ordered two side dishes of salads for €3 and a large bottle of water, which added up to €40.90. The food tasted really good and a free ouzo was also offered. The Greek man who served us was very friendly and accommodating.

This restaurant takes you into Greek cuisine with a lot of heart and taste. Be sure to try it out if you're nearby. It's worth it.

We ate here on our vacation. We have a toddler and it was very family friendly. We were happy to have managed to get a spot. Next time we would definitely make a reservation. The meal was brought forward for the little one, and at the end there was a great surprise for the little one. Our food was really tasty, the tzatziki was very tasty. We'll definitely come back when we're here again.

We had the pleasure of being at this wonderful Greek restaurant last night and it was an experience we won't soon forget. The food was simply delicious - perfectly prepared! The waiters were very friendly and attentive. The owner was super fun and provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere. His sense of humor contributed significantly to making our evening so pleasant. Overall it was a fantastic evening with delicious food, excellent service and a great atmosphere. We can only warmly recommend this restaurant and are already looking forward to our next visit! A very good restaurant with good food and very friendly service. There is a really large selection of different Greek dishes, the restaurant is actually run by Greeks. The waiters are all very nice and the atmosphere is also very nice, especially in the outdoor area. With the meal there is also a classic free ouzo and the children get something small for dessert. Most of the time it is understandably very crowded, but with a little patience you can get a seat.

I can only recommend it, everyone was very friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. Always my pleasure!!!

No topic was great as always! I can "only" give 5 stars to everything... unfortunately... I would actually give more stars. There's even an asterisk for the weather... it was great too! Service is friendly, courteous, quick and always tries to fulfill special requests if you have them. The food, no matter what, has always been great (this time it was bifteki with rice and a red "salsa", a warm starter plate with baked eggplant, zucchini, baked sheep's cheese and the delicious tzaziki)... and they almost rolled me out must... super tasty 😋 ... with a nice cold beer from the handle glass and since I don't like ouzo (that made me shudder), there was an ice cold sour apple... also very tasty. The Athens, no problem, is in my opinion the best Greek restaurant in northern Hesse. But please always make a reservation... it's better... no problem 😉

Always well attended because of the delicious cuisine!! There is also a spacious covered outdoor area that you can use in warm weather!! A recommendation for me!!

Really great little Greek restaurant. Very friendly and tastes great! Price-performance is right. We went there for lunch during our vacation and got a table straight away without a reservation. (Calling and reserving in advance is definitely better). It was really well attended. Children get a great surprise after their meal. All in all we were very satisfied.

Very nice little Greek restaurant in Waldeck. For us it's the starting point for hikes on the Edersee and a subsequent stop here. The grilled dishes are very tasty and the service is super friendly in a very familiar atmosphere. It's also great that it's open at lunchtime. We'd love to come back.

We found the restaurant spontaneously via Google after ski jumping in Wellingen. We went there on a whim and even though we didn't have a reservation, we were served extremely friendly and the staff tried extremely hard to assign us a free table. We were allowed to spend the waiting time in the “barn”. The map was brought to us straight away and at our request we were able to stay in the “barn”. The food was excellent. It's been a long time since I've had such a good Greek meal. Very high praise for the kitchen. Super friendly staff and great service. Every wish was “not an issue” 👍👍👍 We will definitely be back and are happy to accept the 3-hour journey. Many greetings from the Franconian Forest

Es ist ein Traum dieses Essen genießen zu dürfen. Sehr gut, sehr traditionell und extrem liebevoll. Man fühlte sich sofort wohl. Am besten ist eine Reservierung.

Ein kleines gemütliches Restaurant. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Qualität des Fleisches ist immer sehr gut. Man wird schnell bedient, ohne das es nach hetze aussieht. Preis Leistung sind hier klasse. Die Zubereitung ist wie beim Griechen zu erwarten. Besser vorher anrufen - es ist sehr beliebt !

Hier erlebt man die griechische Gastfreundschaft live und pur. Das Essen ist hervorragend, die Qualität gut und der Preis völlig okay. Viel Platz darf man jedoch nicht erwarten, da dieses Lokal stark frequentiert wird, weil es eben so gut ist. Leider ist der Weg zum WC nicht leicht (steile Treppe) und für Menschen mit Gehbehinderungen nicht passierbar. Trotzdem vergebe ich 4 Sterne plus.

Wir kamen ohne Reservierung...der Laden war voll und wir haben unkompliziert noch zwei Plätze bekommen. Letzter Abend vor vier Wochen Betriebsferien. Service super schnell und super freundlich. Essen mega lecker und ordentliche Protionen. Und wir essen nicht wenig 😅 Tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis 👍

Während unseres einwöchigen Urlaubs am Edersee waren wir gleich zwei mal im Restaurant Athen essen. Einmal ohne Reservierung, trotz vollem Haus wurde uns ein Tisch zugewiesen. Beim zweiten Mal mit Reservierung, unbedingt zu empfehlen. Das Essen sehr gut, der Service ebenso gut und trotz Stress immer geduldig und freundlich. Wir kommen wieder, wenn wir mal wieder am Edersee sind.

Super Restaurant mit durchweg freundlicher und aufmerksamer Bedienung. Die Plätze draußen unter der Markise sind sehr empfehlenswert. Eine Reservierung ist vorteilhaft.
