Delicious and plentiful food, friendly and pleasant service. Prices are perfectly reasonable. The pork medallions were very tender and tasty. Cozy atmosphere. Everything was just right, and we'll definitely be back.

Genuine hospitality and super delicious food

It was very tasty. Leg of lamb with Greek pasta, served with garlic bread and calamari. Everything is highly recommended! The food was well prepared, and there was hardly any wait time. Friendly and attentive staff, and a chef who clearly loves his job. Our dog was even allowed in. What more could you ask for? A little light, perhaps... it was a little dim for my liking. But I would definitely come back here again if I'm in the area. Please keep up the good work! Thank you for the lovely time and the delicious food.

Mega, but very small restaurant

I had a snack (appetizers) here after my hike on the jungle trail and received friendly service. The village salad really tasted like a friend's in Greece. Tomatoes, cucumber, onions, feta cheese, oregano, and delicious olive oil. 😋

A very attractive restaurant with delicious food. We felt very comfortable. The food was excellent, and the service extremely attentive. Unfortunately, we were just passing through, otherwise the Athen would have become a regular for us.

Yes, it's good! You can't go wrong here. A wide selection, friendly staff. My highlight was the "gyro with calamari," which was really good. You do have to reserve a table, though. This is where the locals meet! And it's simply delicious.

It was really, really great!!!!!!!! We were treated really nicely and well, and I've rarely had such a good meal as I did there!! Despite being very busy, the staff there are cheerful and relaxed, and they manage to fulfill every wish. The food is simply delicious and the price is completely reasonable. Excellent Greek restaurant. Always very busy. We didn't have a reservation, but we just managed to get a table. The food was delicious. The stifado was way too much, so we were given the rest to take home. As an extra, we received five delicious slices of baguette to dip in the sauce.

I've tried almost every corner of the menu. Everything is freshly prepared and delicious, okay, the buttery-tender leg of lamb was, of course, prepared and tasted delicious, the skewers and minced meat rolls were juicy and tasty, the grilled fish was delicious, the scampi was perfect, and the squid was delicious... the team is unbeatable: friendly, relaxed, helpful, it couldn't be better. The atmosphere is good; even in bad weather, you can sit sheltered under large umbrellas. If it gets too cold, spotlights heat things up from above... it's simply fun to be there; I wish there was a restaurant like that in my city. But: without a reservation, nothing works—who would be surprised?

We've been enjoying the Greek restaurant in Waldeck for years! The food is amazing, and above all, the service is first-class! Relaxed, friendly, and with a smile, they cater especially well to children. They usually even get a surprise afterward. Sitting outside is much nicer than in the small dining room, so I would always recommend making a reservation when the weather is nice! Reservations are usually a good idea, too.

The restaurant was packed, but we were allowed to sit on the terrace! The owner welcomed us kindly and immediately turned on the heater. Large menu, something for everyone! We didn't have to wait long for the dishes, it was ready within 15 minutes, despite the fact that it was so busy! Cosiness, nice atmosphere, extremely friendly service! We enjoyed it!

The atmosphere was very friendly and the food was excellent. Since the weather was nice, we sat in the beer garden. We were also able to bring our dog, which made us very happy. I highly recommend this place.

Today we were in Athens with 8 people as part of our family vacation over Easter. Excellent food, very nice service. Price/performance ratio absolutely fine. We ordered everything from the menu... from starters to Metaxa Schnitzel... everything was great. When we arrived there was an Ouzo and when we paid the ladies even added a Baileys. We definitely recommend Athens. A nice end to a great day despite the bad weather.

An absolute insider tip in Waldeck! The “Athens” restaurant not only offers authentic Greek cuisine, but also a wonderful ambience. From the first moment you feel welcome - the service is friendly, attentive and always with a smile. The menu is varied and offers something for every taste. The portions are generous and the quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite. The beer garden is cozy and inviting - ideal for a relaxed evening with friends or family. We have spent many summer evenings there and now count visits in the high double digits. We can only warmly recommend the restaurant! A must for all lovers of Greek cuisine.

The food was very tasty and the price was also quite good. The only thing that would be nice was a slightly larger portion in some cases, but it's always enough to fill you up. The service was very nice and accommodating. The ambience was just like a small village restaurant, kept small and rather discreet with a few club pictures on the wall.

Overall, a really exceptionally good restaurant. A very nice and attentive team, throughout. We were in the annex opposite, it's nice to sit there. The food was very good, the only point of criticism: the unfortunately quite limp fried pieces of calamari. The meat, the fries, the salad - all very good. Another positive thing to mention is the very clean toilets. Overall, really highly recommended!
