This was a bar in the early 1980’s. I was a young American army soldier (22yrs old) and I dated a waitress (Roswitha) there and was friends with the owner, Brigette. Renout (Spelling incorrect) was a bar tender. I drank beer, played pool and had a great time with the locals there! Roswitha and I were eventually married for a few years.

When in the U.S.ARMY, I was stationed at Larsen Kasern up on the hill. I had an apartment at the present round about location. The Kolosseum was my regular spot to eat and drink. Became good friends of the Family that owned The Adams Villa. They also owned The Kleinschroth Brauerei. Still in contact with the family. Good memories. Hope to return after a leanthy absence.

Very good kebab, simple decor, which probably explains the reasonable price for the truly filling portion. The bread is slightly crispy, the meat cooked through but tender. Plenty of side dishes, delicious sauce, and the "a bit spicy" is exactly how I like it. The ambiance inside is simple but serves its purpose...you sit down, you have a table, it's clean...

Alte Burgstraße 2The food was very tasty, even though I got something different than what I ordered. I was asked if that was okay, and of course, I wouldn't give away any finished food. The service was very friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful view on the terrace, and it also looked very cozy inside. We would come back anytime.
