Prices for the lunch menu are more than reasonable. Unfortunately, there are no lactose-free options, and no lactose-free milk for coffee either. In my opinion, this could be improved.

It feels like we've been here a hundred times already – and now it's really time for a Google review. We're thrilled every single time. The service is incredibly friendly and attentive; you immediately feel welcome. The meat is consistently excellent, always of a very high standard. We especially appreciate the regular new creations and the ever-changing menu – it keeps things exciting and varied. Overall, we're always very, very satisfied and love coming back. Highly recommended!

The three of us dined at the Zur alten Eversburg restaurant for their set Christmas menu and paid approximately €160 in total (one drink per person). The service was very friendly, attentive, and clearly trying our best, which we would like to emphasize. Unfortunately, we were not convinced by the value for money. The menu offered five choices, but no steak or beef, which we would have expected at this price point. • Starter: Chickpea soup – okay, but nothing special. • Main course 3: Two pieces of goose breast with a small dumpling and a lot of red cabbage. The taste was okay, but for €51, the portion was very small and the flavors were unbalanced. • Main course 5 (vegetarian): Beetroot dumplings – five small dumplings with a little gravy and a small amount of spinach. The dumplings were unfortunately quite bland. €43. • Dessert: Baked apple, about the size of a crabapple, with a teaspoon of vanilla ice cream – very minimalist. The taste was okay. Everything was served on large plates, with each side dish in its own small bowl. Although the table was full, everything could easily have fit on the large plates. Overall, the menu seemed very expensive for the small portions, giving the impression of blatant profit maximization, which was unfortunately noticeable. We arrived with much higher expectations and were ultimately disappointed, despite the friendly service. It's a shame – perhaps we were unlucky with the menu, but for that price, we expected better quality, more flavor, and a more generous portion. Just a quick note: we weren't informed about a buffet, and we didn't see one. We only review menus that we have actually ordered. We cannot and do not wish to comment on the other menus.

We were at this restaurant yesterday, January 9th, 2026, and what can I say? We're still thrilled! A wonderful first spring day in the sunshine in front of the Ratskeller restaurant. The food was fantastic, a perfectly thin veal schnitzel, and of course the Augustiner beer was delicious too! I can't understand the 1-star reviews.
