Small restaurant with around 20 seats located on the edge of the old town. Beautifully furnished sushi restaurant with great toilet facilities. Super friendly and competent service. The food is great and always fresh and beautifully prepared. The price level is reasonable. 100% recommendation.

If you want to eat good sushi in Weimar, this is the right place for you. The owner will explain everything you want to know. It is small but very nice. The best sushi I've ever eaten so far. Fancy rolls and drinks rounded everything off. Super super good and can only be recommended, I'm thrilled. Thank you for this experience.

Somehow I didn't expect to have possibly one of the best vegetarian sushi platters of my life in Weimar. Prices ok, service friendly, the self-created drinks menu is also impressive.

The food was very, very tasty and the conditions were very friendly and personable. We were even invited for ice cream :). Highly recommended, always happy!

I had an excellent late Nigiri dinner in this Japanese restaurant a Sunday evening. My dish included eel which for me is special. I was all alone and so well taken care of by my fun Vietnamese waitress it's worth a special mention. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

The food is very tasty and the prices are reasonable. The lunch menu did not disappoint and there are vegetarian versions of these. Although the selection is not extremely large, the food itself is authentic and tastes good. Anyone expecting things like a "crispy chicken roll" will be disappointed, but as long as you look at the menu beforehand you can be sure that the contents of the menu are tasty. The service is very nice and the atmosphere is convincing. Very quiet and relaxed, comfortable seating and no bright or dark lights. The toilets are clean and modern. There's even warm water for your hands! All in all very good!

We went to Kawa today for my birthday. The sushi variation for two people left nothing to be desired - absolutely delicious and beautiful to look at. As we all know, the eye eats with us. The kitchen here demonstrates imagination and creativity when preparing the dishes. The service is very quick and friendly and the furnishings are stylish and quite remarkable. We would definitely love to come back! A small star deduction for the temperature in the guest room - it was a bit too cool for us.

We were in Weimar spontaneously and were in the mood for sushi and came across this restaurant thanks to Google reviews and what can I say, 5 out of 5 stars. The food was very tasty and the host accommodated special requests without any problems. We'd love to come back.

The sushi and especially the chocolates for dessert were world class. The terrace didn't seem very inviting, but the atmosphere inside was very nice. However, the service that is often praised here was not there. There was no advice about sushi, the wrong drink was brought and the complaint was not understood and when the food came it was not explained. It was good that we spontaneously got a place on Saturday evening.

Finally nothing to complain about. Great 🍱 food. Table reservation made possible at short notice by email, quick response. Very friendly waitress, absolutely tough, has the place under control. She explained everything to us very well and her recommendations were great. It's not cheap, but worth every penny. We had a really nice evening, even with a free drink for our dad on Women's Day, and for us women anyway. The restaurant is quite small and cozy. You can watch the sushi being prepared. So we give it 7 out of 5 stars and will definitely come back. Thank you.

Absolutely the tastiest sushi in Weimar and the surrounding area. Crisp fresh salmon sashimi, delicious fresh ginger and sushi to die for. Started with a miso soup, which was really flavored. So not to be sneezed at! Recommended. The restaurant was full, so reservations are advisable

The presentation of the dishes was a feast for the eyes, and the quality of the ingredients was second to none - the care with which each piece was prepared was evident. Particularly noteworthy is the variety of sushi creations on offer. From classic nigiri variants to creative rolls – KaWa impressed me with a wide range of taste experiences. There are also some vegan dishes on the menu. The drinks selection was equally impressive, with a range from warm drinks to specialty cocktails - the KaWa Signatures, sure to suit every taste. In summary, I can absolutely recommend the KaWa. The high quality of the ingredients, the sophisticated preparation of the dishes and the friendly staff make this restaurant an outstanding place for all sushi and cocktail lovers. Absolutely fantastic evening! We spent our first wedding anniversary there and were surprised with many little things. The decoration was beautiful and very lovingly designed. We also got Prosecco and dessert at the end on the house. The food was beautifully prepared and tasted very tasty and fresh. The price here is absolutely justified. What should also be highlighted is the service, the young woman was very friendly and clearly enjoyed her job. Thanks for the evening, we'll be happy to come back!

In summary, it was great! There was really a lot going on on Valentine's Day. The apparent shift manager made a little misplanning with the seat reservations and so we had to wait about 5 minutes, which wasn't a problem for us. Couples who waited longer after us received drinks as compensation, which I thought was really great! Ambience: very dark, Asian, the ceiling is great! You're just sitting in the corner, very quiet and comfortable Service: a competent service woman who gave us enough time for the menu and communicated well. We were served the food on a platter and introduced to it, very great! Then you didn't have to puzzle about it. Drinks: They were delicious, many on the other tables were also very graphic. I missed a bit of alcohol in the cocktail - but those are small things. Eat: super tasty! The sideboard was just with us. As a starter we had the dumplings (super tasty, we kept the sauce) and edamame (greatly seasoned with grainy salt). The main course was of course sushi. I really enjoy eating sushi and the menu had such a great selection. In my opinion, it was very versatile, with variations that were unknown to me and great spices! Tip: Garden Roll, Surf & Turf and Hells (Kitchen?) Prices: Since we got to know it right now, I can't say whether the prices are on the menu now because of all the circumstances. However, I would say I would rather go to this tapas bar to try my way through the menu than order sushi from well-known supply chains. With the few negative reviews I've read here, all I can say is: I can hardly agree. In my opinion, there should be waiting times, especially when eating. If you want quick food, you can go to fast food restaurants. :) Note: The part about “platters for 2 people” also confused us a lot. But asking should help :)

Tolles Ambiente, fantastisches Essen! Alles sieht super toll aus und schmeckt unglaublich. Auch das Personal ist super nett, sehr viele vegane Optionen. Auch preislich völlig in Ordnung. Da der Innenraum nicht riesig ist würde ich auf jeden Fall reservieren.

Ich kann es nur empfehlen Mein Freund mag eigentlich kein rohen Fisch aber er konnte nicht genug bekommen. Am Anfang dachte ich das es etwas teuer ist aber für die Qualität absolut gerechtfertigt. Ich kann die rainbow und surf and turf nur empfehlen.

Wir waren in unserem Kurzurlaub gezielt im Kawa essen. Vom Essen;vom Service und vom Ambiente waren wir total geflasht.Der Sushikünstler in der Küche ist der Hammer. Wir wurden total nett zuvorkommend bedient. Der Tisch Nummer 10 würde auch 10 Punkte vergeben. Weiter so.!!!!

Wir sind durchweg begeistert, ein sehr angenehmer Service. Die Suppe war einzigartig und auch das Sushi war sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder, macht weiter so.

Fröhlicher, aufgeweckter, aufmerksamer Service, der mit dem Gast kommuniziert und dazu auch noch leckeres Sushi und ausgezeichnete Cocktails wie nebenbei auf den Tisch zaubert. Wie man hört die beste Margharita der Stadt. Kann ich nicht beurteilen, dazu fehlt der Vergleich - aber der Wettbewerb sollte sich besser gehörig anstrengen um mitzuhalten.

Ich habe heute mit meinem Mann hier gegessen, die Sushis waren außergewöhnlich gut, der Service ausgezeichnet und das vegane Dessert sehr gut. Das Ambiente sehr modern und gleichzeitig klassisch japanisch. Wir kommen wieder !

Sehr schöne Lage, großer Außensitzbereich und abgesehen vom echt leckerem Sushi sogar noch hauseigene Limos und kreative, frische Cocktails! Auch für die Kids spannend- sie können beim Anrichten vom Sushi zusehen!!
