This Kaufhof is becoming increasingly curious and unpleasant. The decline is evident every day, and there's less and less evidence of the former good quality of the product range. 70% of the time, the shopping experience is nothing more than Rudi's bargain basement. Unfortunately, Kaufhof has more than lost its fine style from its heyday! It's more than sad for the employees, who clearly give their all, that this will be a gradual departure. The first 4 and 5 floors have been closed for some time, and it's only a matter of time before the 3rd floor is closed as well. As a Cologne resident, you feel the same way. 🥺

A nice place for shopping. Large selection of items. We bought shoes and handbags. Afterwards we had a delicious meal in the restaurant.

It's a place in the heart of Cologne, where you can't finish visiting in one day and has so many product varieties you can't imagine. Product prices are incredibly reasonable. The restaurant is very nice. Many thanks to the kind and caring lady at the tax-free counter.

More than two weeks ago I ordered two items. According to the tracking number, the goods should be ready for collection within 2-3 working days. However, this information has remained unchanged and not updated since I placed my order. The app also contains the note: "The item is currently available in the branch for self-collection. Please note that the stock can change at any time due to sales. Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve the item in the branch. However, you can conveniently order the item via Click & Collect in the branch and pick it up in 2-3 working days." However, when I then went to the branch, I was informed that I could not take the goods with me, even though the item was shown as available in the branch according to the app.

Despite there being few customers in the store, I waited an hour before I could look at a watch; there were no salespeople in sight. Ultimately I decided to buy a watch only to find out at home that it was defective. So I went back to complain about the damage. But instead of simply giving out a new watch in a customer-friendly manner and replacing the defects, the shop insists on having it repaired by the manufacturer. The watch has now been under repair for 10 weeks, which is supposed to take 5-6 weeks, and there is no one available at the phone number that was given to me to ask if I don't hear from them anymore. I definitely won't buy anything there again, it's no surprise that everyone shops online these days. I have never had such problems with defective items online as I did with my first purchase from Galeria. Edit: finally reached someone. Apparently there are delays because the watch was handed in during the school holidays... There weren't any holidays, and I don't know what that has to do with a repair. It was definitely my last purchase there.

I completed my training as a businessman in what was then the Kaufhof from 1981 to 1984 and had good experiences, even though the training back then was very intensive. Unfortunately the old departments no longer exist (Home and Crafts) and (Automotive Hi-Fi). I visited for a few years after my training but unfortunately the departments were abolished and Saturn is there today. Back then there were still real experts who were completely trained at the Kaufhof, from salespeople to department heads. From today's perspective, they were good years.

Unfortunately unprofessional! Tom Tailor sweaters were advertised on the first floor. 1pc. €39.99, 2 pieces. for 50€. So I picked out 2. At the checkout they explained to me that the advertising had expired the day before. Sign was still there. That wasn't my problem. The cashier was unwilling to compromise. You leave the sweaters there and buy the next ones somewhere else.

The building now looks dilapidated. It drips and not everything works. It's a tragedy how a once wonderful department store was ruined by financial wolves! We received very good advice in the household goods department, but not in the shoe department. There was suitable goods available for us, but overall there seemed to be less available than before. However, we also recently visited Beck in Munich - no comparison; almost like McDonald’s vs. star restaurants! But you can also get your fill at McDonald's. That's why my frugal impression is perhaps to be seen in relative terms.

The galeria Kaufhof on Hohe Straße is an excellent Kaufhof! There is a finest deli department downstairs on the ground floor where you can also eat! Perfume department is also very good! You will receive very good advice here in the house! There is a fashion clothing for men, women and children as well as a sports department! And there is a wonderful toy department that makes children's hearts beat faster! There is another self-service restaurant upstairs! The staff is very friendly! There is also a parking garage attached!

Unbelievable... I just bought something there for over €80. When I wanted to have my parking ticket validated, surprise, that only works in conjunction with a customer card, which I don't have. So I paid €3 for 10 minutes of parking. Original tone from the saleswoman “Yes, I know, customers have been complaining about this for 5 years.” What, for 5 years? I already know why I've only been shopping at Amazon since 2007 and no longer at Kaufhof (this year, by the way, a mid-4-digit amount).

Yesterday I had breakfast in the Kaufhof/Hohe Straße restaurant. I have repeatedly noticed how great the service and how friendly and attentive the staff are. I am a wheelchair user and unfortunately I am not treated so helpfully everywhere. Please appreciate your staff and be happy to have such dedicated staff. Big thanks to everyone.

Cash registers close without prior notice, no employee is nearby or no one feels responsible. It's only minutes after closing time that you find out in front of the security guard that no one is there anymore and you are asked to leave the store.

I dont mind the prices. The problem is quality. I buy something. One day layer already problems. This is not a problem I am used to having shopping in the USA. I bought a bed sheet and the zipper broke immediatly when using it. I dont have time be a guinne pig. They should do the quality control not me!

We did that. Occasionally, bored and not particularly committed saleswomen (because they are definitely underpaid) are leaning in the corners, they look as if they expect to be fired at any minute. The goods are draped more or less carelessly, the idea of ​​a leftover ramp comes to mind. The prices: grossly overpriced. The idea of ​​buying a sports sweater was quickly abandoned on our part. Later we got two sweaters online for the price of one. The comparison is unfair, we know that, but why should we reward this company?

Unfortunately, all of my interactions with this store have been poor or mediocre at best. Prices are regularly incorrectly marked, or discounts are (seemingly intentionally) communicated unclearly, so that you only find out at the checkout that your purchase is becoming more expensive. I think that some people were too intimidated or in a hurry to cancel the purchase, ask for the correct price, or return parts of the purchase. The employees are occasionally friendly and helpful, but sometimes they are extremely unfriendly and/or poorly trained, so that you often have to wait for more experienced staff to come and explain the checkout. It's really a shame that this chain is gradually going down the drain and losing out to online providers, especially if you want to support local trade. Unfortunately, it's no surprise when you look at this branch.

Here the customer is lured with an additional 15% discount on reduced and non-reduced perfumery items (added on the receipt) ... and if you then want to redeem this, then it is said that this does not apply to a reduced item from the current advertisement... No combination with other discount offers... How illogical is that… every reduced item is a discount promotion… Pure customer fraud... next to the service staff who would rather exchange recipes than serve customers.

Review for 123 Maison, Kaufhof Cologne Unfortunately, I have to share a very negative experience that my wife had today at 123 Maison in Kaufhof Cologne. She wanted to look for clothes, but was repeatedly told by the saleswoman that not all items of clothing were available in her size. This behavior left her feeling misunderstood and discriminated against - a feeling no one should have to experience while shopping. Instead of competent advice, she was given a degrading feeling that still bothers her hours after the visit. Such comments are not only unprofessional, but completely disrespectful. I have been a customer of your brand and have purchased a few items, but unfortunately after this experience I can no longer recommend this location. Customer service should aim to support customers – not humiliate them.

I haven't been to the Kaufhof for a long time and was looking for a perfume. After they couldn't help us in the specialist store with the capital D and in the end only referred us to their own website, I was very grateful to the Kaufhof saleswoman in the perfume department for the very pleasant and proactive support (it's almost like that today no longer used to it). We ultimately found what we were looking for and would be happy to come back when the opportunity arises.

You can tell that the company is almost at its end. Hardly any customers for a Friday late afternoon. The inventory is no longer renewed or well maintained. Some escalators are switched off and only one of three elevators works. Staff are playing with their cell phones out of sheer boredom. At least the prices/offers were okay.

The staff on the ground floor is very rude, they answer questions with dislike and aggression. In the end I didn't get an answer and just had to wait while the advisors walked back and forth talking to each other.

I've known it since my childhood, I've never forgotten it, it simply belongs in Cologne.

Aside from the smell of feces, the fishy smell often stands out. The bowl with the dried meat salad in the counter burned into me. And what about the prices? Doesn't fit together. Let's go to the ground floor. Many of the escalators are broken. Maybe from the water dripping from the ceiling? 10-12 degrees temperature today. As a customer you feel like you are in an igloo. The employees in their down jackets and ear warmers are simply to be regretted. Where is the trade inspection and checks compliance with the workplace regulations? 17 degrees is the minimum. It gets warmer higher up. But the charm remains true to itself. With very few exceptions, nothing here is decorated for Christmas or has any Christmas atmosphere. Of course, decades of missing investment cannot be made up in weeks. But if something doesn't change quickly, the final end is inevitable.

I was in the Kaufhof with my girlfriend two weeks ago. We started in the watch department then moved on to handbags and underwear. We received excellent service and advice in all departments and could hardly believe how much effort the salespeople put in. Our wallets became increasingly empty but we drove home happy and satisfied. I hope it wasn't a one-off experience!

We were there to buy my wife new clothes. Luckily, we met a very competent employee in the Betty Barclay women's department who gave my wife very good advice on styling, colors and sizes. My wife is happy 😉

“Doom and gloom” is exactly the right word that still applies to the Kaufhof of today. I also have to say that the food really tasted like shit. I knew it differently back then. The buffet foods were checked under my selective nose. All I heard from the staff was: ahh, fill up with a little cheese and then everything will be fine again. The sliced ​​currywurst was completely spoiled and hard. The potato gratin was musty and from that moment on I understood that everything on offer at the buffet was a bit too much. Do you know when McDonald's burgers become rock hard because they sit for a long time? I also let them know that there was something wrong with the things. The chef said that I should take the sausage off the plate and use something else instead. Unfortunately, the meatballs didn't work at all and from a purely visual perspective they weren't an eye-catcher. But the truth that everything has been simmering since midday would have been a good answer. Instead it was over 12 € for a bunch of food on the plate, all of which tasted old and rotten when weighed and I'm sure it will stay that way because it no longer has the quality from years ago. If you make new sauce with old sausage, you can do that for a while even if you hate your guests and don't care what ends up in their stomachs. In short: never again since the visit today. It was disgusting
