Katomi in Frankfurt am Main

We were there with a group without a reservation, unfortunately they couldn't offer us a place at first, but we managed to organize it somehow. So the restaurant was full! We ordered a lot. Had to wait for some things, dessert came with the main course, so more of a disaster. Some were nice and one person in service seemed annoyed and unfriendly. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered a lot and everything was delicious and well prepared. Happy to eat again at any time. We'll stop by again.

A chic restaurant with very good food! 🥗🍣🍜 I ate here last night and would go there again today. Really very good! Despite the fact that the service left something to be desired. Drinks and dessert were only brought upon request. Personally, I understand if the restaurant is completely booked. I even forgot to take a photo of the main course because it tasted so good 😄 - if that's not meaningful!

We were there at lunchtime and had reserved. We then discovered that on a Sunday lunchtime a reservation is rarely necessary; the restaurant tends to be quite busy during the week, so you should make a reservation here. The atmosphere is modern and friendly, but could be a little cleaner here and there. I think the lampshades are probably just hanging too high and are more likely to be overlooked ;-) We had a starter and a main course each, along with delicious tea. Both starter and main course were plentiful and extremely tasty, the tea was freshly brewed and I have to say, I have never had such delicious tea anywhere. Very cool! The service was “Asian cool” but friendly and accommodating. We sat close to the service staff and therefore had no problems with repeat orders. I can only recommend a visit here! Info for e-car drivers: In Herriots you can park relatively cheaply and charge at the same time, sometimes up to 150 kWh, depending on availability.

We stood in front of the reception for 45 minutes with a reservation, were only occasionally put off with the words “just a moment” and were not offered a drink. At least there was compensation for the meal. Because the food here is great, but so much patience while waiting is extremely frustrating and only made us wait because of the lack of direct alternatives...

The Katomi impresses with its delicious and very well presented dishes. There is a lot on offer here for the eyes and palate in a great atmosphere. The Katomi is definitely a clear recommendation.

I'm sorry but I didn't find it that great here. The food was ok, but I've had better Asian food. Of course it's a great show the way they serve some things, but I don't need that. It's not very comfortable to sit in and it's terribly loud. The service was also just “okay”. The only parking option is in the Aldi and Edeka underground car parks, which you then have to pay for.

In terms of food, Katomi is probably one of the best Asian restaurants in all of Frankfurt. Tastes great and not like cheap fat like many others. The service tried hard to provide service. However, we waited almost ten minutes until we were finally shown to a reserved table. And that was in the part where a noisy crowd was sitting at long tables. We declined and were given a small table in the other half of the restaurant. Slightly quieter, but just as uncomfortable and uncomfortable. We'll be back in the summer when you might be able to sit outside; We don't do anything to each other inside anymore. However, Katomi gained two new customers via home delivery!

I visit Katomi Restaurant from time to time for work dinners while in Frankfurt. It’s a reliable spot that serves its purpose well—nothing overly fancy, but it gets the job done for a casual business dinner. The restaurant can get quite busy, especially during peak hours, which does add to its lively atmosphere. However, one downside is the noise level. When it’s packed, it can get so loud that holding a conversation is challenging—you often can’t hear yourself, let alone your dining companions. Overall, it’s a decent option for group dinners if you don’t mind the noise, but quieter spots may be preferable if you need a more focused setting.

Best Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to! Some of the dishes are a bit unusual, which I really like. Everything tastes great! The atmosphere is also nice and the waiters are nice. The only thing I don't like is that some of the tables are so close to each other. You basically have to listen to the other guests next to you and to them as well.

Chicly furnished and delicious food for pasta and main courses. The Suhsi was good but has potential. The optics are really great. let yourself be surprised. Parking is possible right outside the door, but parking spaces are in short supply. Better in the evening than at lunch. Service was good but not attentive enough. More sales could have been made ;( Food is always good. Service was much better on the second visit Tried sushi again today - really great!

Cool ambience, delicious food and friendly service

In general, I think the food has good quality, well presented, the service is decent, and they have interesting drinks. Perfect for family/ friends, a bit crowded for a date/ couple, especially on the weekends.

Great selection, great ambience and the service was very behind but not intrusive. Eating was a pleasure. I'd love to come back.

We had the summer rolls, flying noodles and the udon noodles - all in vegetarian versions. The summer rolls were below average, the flying noodles were spectacularly prepared but unfortunately only lukewarm and with a sauce that was very oversweet for our taste. The salad with the udon noodles wasn't washed properly, so I was chewing on sand. Overall, unfortunately quite disappointing.

The entire offering is really, really tasty. Despite combining so many different Asian cuisines, each tastes mostly authentic and really, really good. I've tried Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese and it was always really good. But the fried sushis were super exceptional. I've never eaten better. Super crunchy. Incredibly delicious.

Very nice restaurant for meeting and dinner.

The food is great and beautifully prepared too. I really liked the look and taste of everything. Unfortunately it is very loud there because the tables are very close together. That's why I'd probably prefer to go to a quieter place. A few soundproof walls between the tables wouldn't be a bad idea. Otherwise everything was great. Clear recommendation!

I have already eaten here three times, both on site and by ordering. So far I have only tried sushi, which I liked. I would give it a solid 3 to 4 stars. However, this time I opted for a main course – salmon with rice and vegetables. Unfortunately, the rice was quite dry, even though the salmon tasted good. What didn't fit, however, was the mayonnaise underneath the vegetables, and the vegetables themselves were disappointing in both taste and appearance. It seemed as if little effort had been made to prepare the vegetables attractively - they were cut carelessly, see photo. (The salmon was of course eaten up :) ) Overall, I unfortunately have to rate the dish negatively.

We had dinner here together after work a few weeks ago. We sat on the terrace, which is very comfortable, especially in the pavilions. The food was mostly very good, but the price was a bit higher. However, some dishes are prepared very spectacularly. The service was fine, just about friendly. A little forgetful at times, but overall good.

Very quality food and good atmosphere. But service is very poor specially the out door girls. They don’t have respect how to speak and they push you a lot to give them a tip.

A very nice restaurant. The look of the restaurant alone promises an experience. We had various sushis as a starter, the flying noodles and lemongrass fried beef. And what the visuals promised was exceeded by the food. Super delicious and definitely recommended.

Newly opened restaurant in the neighborhood, very nice decoration but very poor acoustics, impossible to hear each other. The tables are extremely close together and gives the impression of being in a company restaurant rather than a restaurant. The food is pseudo-Asian, nicely presented, not very generous. Will I go back? No

Super chic sushi restaurant in the office district of Niederrad. Definitely nice that there is such a great restaurant in Niederrad, just outside Frankfurt city center. The sushi is incredibly tasty, but I can also recommend the other dishes. Even as a vegetarian/vegan you have enough choice here. The sushi is spectacularly served on a platter with dry ice.

The food and service are always top notch, even if the language is often incomprehensible. But please be careful not to bother the neighbors so much on the weekend. Public viewing always went until 11 p.m., okay. But Saturday evening, this impossibly loud karaoke and then even more whining instead of singing, was the highlight. Please do something like this in your premises and not on your doorstep.

We sat outside in a group yesterday. The drinks and food would be served promptly. Our female waiters sometimes had problems communicating when taking the order. One of the two women had a rather rude tone. The food and drinks were delicious. However, 3 of us had stomach pains or diarrhea the next morning. As a result, we will no longer eat here.

Nicely done restaurant and we were excited to try it. Food is really below average and some of the starters e.g. Har Gaw are not self made but frozen from the supermarket. Tuna did not taste fresh. Overall disappointed and can’t recommend

We ate at Katomi on a Friday and were served in a friendly manner by Thao. The food was a hit with everyone and we ordered various starters (spring rolls, summer rolls, tartare, sushi) and main courses (rice noodles, rice dishes, sushi). It tasted very tasty and the portions were very good. I can also recommend the homemade lemonades.

A wonderful restaurant and one of the best Asian restaurants that I have visited, especially since it features wonderful Asian food...amazing taste, wonderful presentation and speed of service...I recommend visiting it and enjoying its delicious dishes...its prices are high but it is worth it

Unfortunately we didn't like the sushi at all, the chicken was inedible and this was reported to the kitchen.

A great place to go for sushi fans. For non-fish eaters there is a small selection of alternatives.

Fast, unobtrusive service, pleasant atmosphere also suitable for larger groups, food was served relatively quickly. visually appealing, rich, delicious.

Update 2 days later We went to Katomi again, they were much busier, the service was now faster and more pleasant. Thanks also for the apology and dessert. We were at Katomi with the company today. It took almost 20 minutes until we were asked what drink we wanted. Then another 30 minutes until the drink was there. Many drinks never arrived and were certainly accounted for. The service only woke up after a clear announcement, then a beer suddenly only took 2 minutes. It's a shame, but the food was good.

I tried a lunch menu which is much cheaper compared to a la carte menu. Soup was complementary with the lunch menu. Sushi was okeyish. The staff is friendly and helpful. I liked the atmosphere very much. Chill rock songs were playing in the place. :) This place needs more attention.

I recently visited the Asian Fusion restaurant Katomi in Frankfurt Niederrad and overall I was very satisfied. The service was always attentive and friendly, although there is still a bit of room for improvement, especially in terms of attentiveness and more professional service. The dishes were outstanding and I was impressed by the creative mix of traditional and modern Asian flavors. The ambience of the restaurant is inviting and stylish, which made the visit a pleasant experience. Despite minor room for improvement in the service, I would definitely recommend Katomi and would happily give it a good grade of 2. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Very tasty 😋 and fancy prepared. Portions are good too. Price wise 💵 completely okay and service is acceptable. Would I go here again? Yes absolutely. Clear recommendation. In the evening 🌃 it probably makes sense to make a reservation as it was already very full. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is good and not too loud.

A really nice shop, nice atmosphere and good sushi. The service needs to be a little more professional in terms of communication and friendliness when you pay so much for your food. In addition, we waited quite a long time for the food once and the second time we didn't even get a drink at 10 p.m., even though the official closing time is 11 p.m. on Saturdays... Conclusion: there's actually a lot of potential in the shop. It would be nice if you took something like that to heart!

We were there during our lunch break, which is generally supposed to be short and okay, the shop was full, but that's something you have to take into account as an operator at an office location and you need staff accordingly. We had to wait 15 minutes for the order to be taken, then another 15 minutes for the drinks and the food. That's just too long... The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite nice. The food was okay but unfortunately not more than that. A pity

A real experience - highly recommended! Fantastically good tasting dishes arranged and served with a lot of imagination. In addition, the service was extremely friendly, and the somewhat complicated division of the bill for our group was no problem.
