Gemütlicher Biergarten im Wald ( durch kaum befahrene Straße von Gasthaus getrennt) sehr nette, kundenorientierte Servicekräfte, problemlose Umbestellung von Schweineschnitzel auf Putenschnitzel ( auch ohne Aufpreis 😉) Moderate Preise für sehr leckeres Essen......wir kommen gerne wieder.

Rustikales Restaurant am Waldrand. Im Sommer Terrasse unter den Bäumen. Lokale Küche von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Bestes Schnitzel mit Kochkäse, dass ich jemals gegessen habe. Waren mit lokalen Freunden da, die sehr von dem Lokal geschwärmt haben. Sie haben nicht übertrieben. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Der Käsback ist und bleibt eine super Waldgaststätte mit Biergarten. Extrem leckere Schnitzel, Kochkäse und Handkäse mit Musik sehr nettes Personal, aufmerksam und freundlich. Man sitzt sehr schön und das Essen ist köstlich. Portionen sind zum satt werden, appetitlich angerichtet und frisch. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Eine absolute Empfehlung, wenn man im Odenwald ist. 🍀🙋‍♂️👌👍🙋‍♀️

Klasse Restaurant in schöner naturnaher Umgebung. Gute Speise- und Getränkeauswahl. Beliebt sind die Schnitzel, die wir auch hatten. Sehr gute frischer Beilagensalat. Wir haben das Restaurant im Rahmen einer 11 km langen Wanderung besucht (Komoot). Los gewandert sind wir vom Parkplatz am Bahnhof in Erbach. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und sehr freundlicher Service. Klare Empfehlung!

Ostermontag um 19.30 Uhr nicht mehr bedient worden, obwohl noch Gäste da waren. Wurde abgewiesen, werde Lokal nicht mehr besuchen.

Wir waren am Wochenende als Wandergruppe mit 13 Personen und zwei Hunden unterwegs und sind hier eingekehrt – und was soll ich sagen? Es war ein Volltreffer! Schon beim Betreten wurden wir unglaublich herzlich empfangen. Obwohl wir eine recht große Truppe waren, wurde absolut unkompliziert auf unseren Platzbedarf reagiert und ruckzuck alles passend gemacht, sodass wir alle gemütlich zusammensitzen konnten. Auch die Hunde waren überhaupt kein Problem, was für uns Wanderer natürlich Gold wert ist. Hier die Highlights unseres Besuchs: * Service: Die Bedienung war nicht nur super freundlich, sondern auch beeindruckend schnell. * Logistik: 13 Gerichte kamen fast zeitgleich an den Tisch. Bei so einer Gruppengröße ist das eine echte Meisterleistung der Küche! * Betreuung: Wir wurden den gesamten Aufenthalt über hervorragend betreut. Auf weitere Wünsche oder spontane Nachbestellungen wurde sofort und mit einem Lächeln und umgehender Wunscherfüllung reagiert. * Qualität: Das Wichtigste zum Schluss – das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und frisch. Alle in der Gruppe waren durchweg begeistert. Fazit: Wer eine gastfreundliche Atmosphäre, tollen Service und richtig gutes Essen sucht (auch als größere Gruppe!), ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! 🥾🐕🥗

The autumn schnitzel was delicious 😁 And the staff was super friendly.

The restaurant is quietly located on the edge of the forest, a bit out of the way from Erbach. We ate there with a group of 10 people – we hiked there from Erbach – and had made a reservation in advance just in case. There's a wide selection of dishes, most of which come from local suppliers. According to the menu, all the sauces and dressings are homemade. The salad dressing was definitely delicious 😋 The other dishes were also very good. The waiters were all very friendly and attentive. I'd be happy to come back.

I visited this restaurant back in the 1990s, and it's always been a place of comfort for me, thanks to the beautiful surroundings. I was astonished when we wanted to go there last Saturday at 6:45 p.m. (opening hours until 8:00 p.m.) and, after waiting for 30 minutes, were greeted with the words: "Are you new? We're not accepting any more customers!" - "Huh? What?" We thought we'd misheard. You might hear this kind of greeting in doctor's offices, and only if the staff hasn't been adequately trained. Okay, there were still a few tables unoccupied, and it wasn't really obvious why we had to be greeted like that. One thing is very clear, though: this restaurant is completely out of the question with such rude service. It's a shame that this place is now history for us, too. Amen!

Always happy to be a guest there. The service and owner are always friendly. Even when busy, the food arrives quickly and is very tasty. It's the perfect place to stop during a cycling, motorcycling, or hiking tour.

We went to Käs Back with friends for dinner. The food was super good, the selection...something for everyone. The attentive, friendly service rounded off the beautiful ambiance perfectly. Big praise to the team...we'll be back.

The best schnitzel in the Odenwald! There are a few alternatives these days, but the meat dishes are the best. Always book a table on the weekends. Reserve a table, it's always full. The interior is a bit dated, but that's not really what you go there for. The service is attentive and quick.

Just the thing for hot summer days. Beautiful beer garden in the forest. Food and service impeccable. We're always happy to come back.

We visited yesterday with our e-bikes, and the friendly landlady immediately offered us a socket to charge our four e-bikes. The beer garden across the street in the forest is truly something special. The menu, featuring Odenwald and international dishes at slightly higher prices, has something for everyone. The KäsBack is highly recommended. 👍🏻

The only beer garden in the Odenwald where you can sit right in the forest among the pine trees. 🙂 In bad weather, there's also the dining room or winter garden. Odenwald dishes, very good. When it's busy, you'll have to wait a bit longer, but if you consider the distances the servers have to travel and the fact that the dishes are freshly prepared, it's nothing to complain about. I'll be happy to come back again and again.

At Käs Back, we always feel very comfortable and at home. A cool chef, a charming lady, and the staff are always attentive and extremely friendly. The food is top-notch and the wines are simply delicious. Of course, we'll be back at Käs Back in the beer garden on Corpus Christi.

The whole atmosphere there is great, the service staff are not only super nice and accommodating, but you also have the feeling that you are being treated with kindness. Very nice forest restaurant in the middle of the forest. Unfortunately we didn't have a reservation, which would have been advisable. Thanks to the very nice service ladies, we were still able to grab a place for 3 hours. Service was very attentive and extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty. The restaurant is a good home-style restaurant, especially the schnitzels and other breaded dishes and salads are really good. Unfortunately, the desserts are often not that good, but unfortunately that is often the case. Otherwise, the restaurant is very quiet on the edge of the forest, the outdoor area in the forest is really great (if you like that) and the staff is polite, approachable and tries to do everything possible. Paying with cash or EC card is no problem, and the bill can also be split using a tablet right at the table. We love eating there when we are nearby.

We were at Käsback with the hiking club. Great location, nice people, food tastes good, asparagus cream could be creamier and richer....I know steak in the Odenwald is bigger for the price...otherwise good menu...full hut, so reservation is recommended...gladly again , because the location above the Erbachs zoo is also really good.

A really good beer garden atmosphere at the end of the day. Also suitable for children who don't want to sit still for long and prefer to run around in the forest. The food is delicious and also a feast for the eyes. Delicious asparagus dishes are still on offer at the moment ☝️🤠

We came here on the recommendation of friends, it was very busy and luckily we had reserved. My husband ate the Käsback-Schnitzel and I ate the “normal”. The schnitzels were great, but if there is caraway in the cheese sauce, that should be on the menu. The side salad was great, the fries needed a little more. The staff was super friendly. The prices are really pleasant, value for money is great

The food was delicious. The service was on point, but not intrusive. I thought it was nice that there was a small beer garden in the forest opposite. When the weather is nice, the restaurant is worth a visit. It is a beautiful hiking or cycling route. But it is also very easy to reach by car etc. and there are enough parking spaces

A rustic restaurant on the way from Ober-Mossau to Erbach. The successful conclusion to an equally successful Mossautal hike. From there it's another half hour walk downhill to Erbach train station. The innkeepers are very friendly and committed, the food is worth the price.

Gutes Biergartenessen, manchmal leider Dosenpilze, aber sehen wir mal darüber hinweg. Toller Biergarten, aber auch im Wintergarten ist es schön zu sitzen. Selbst große Familienfeiern (Konfirmation mit 35 Gästen) werden toll gemeistert, mit Essen nach Karte. Freundliche Bedienungen und herzliche Chefin. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne. Zu empfehlen ist eine Reservierung... Bei tollem Wetter ist ohne kein Platz zu finden
