Food was excellent. Service in the beer garden wasn't present enough, even though not all tables were occupied. But it's only a snapshot, I can't judge how it works on a daily basis. Otherwise everything was fine. Food very 😋 delicious.

Food was good, fries very fresh, side salad very good and fresh, especially different salads. Schnitzel was very large and really tasted very good. The waiter tried very hard but all in all the drinks and payment took longer than the food. Still recommended again after a long time.

I ordered a non-alcoholic Radler and received a non-alcoholic Jever. Now to the sausage salad...I was looking forward to it, but what was on the plate was a joke for the money. I had the feeling that the leftovers had been scraped together. About 4 slices of sausage roughly chopped together with some peppers and cucumbers and heaps of spring onions, probably to make it look like more. It's a shame because it tasted very good. Despite everything, we'll give the beer garden another chance, it's really nice to sit there, maybe I'll get a non-alcoholic shandy 😉

Very tasty rump steak. Perfectly seared and buttery soft. Pils according to the Erbacher recipe is still fabulous. Unfortunately, only the Radeberger Group can do something about the fact that this no longer exists everywhere. One of the most beautiful beer gardens in the district. You can hear the Mümling rushing past. Absolutely recommended.

The food was really very good, as was the ambience, but the service left a lot to be desired. The designated disabled toilet is also a joke; it is impossible for a paralyzed person to use a wheelchair. No space and no toilet elevation either. Very poorly equipped. Too bad!

Unfortunately, it was a bad experience. Let's start with the positive first. The brewery atmosphere comes into its own. A beautiful old half-timbered house and matching interior. Like in many German breweries, you feel comfortable. Unfortunately the rest was below average. The food was unacceptable. The starter was beef broth with vegetables and herbs. This consisted of 100% pure Maggie ready-made powder and a few hard carrots and zucchini/cucumber strips, which were also very rare in the soup. That's just not possible! In a restaurant, even a brewery, I expect homemade soup. There wasn't even any bread or any kind of filling. The main course was salmon which was very small for the price and far too many boiled potatoes in proportion. The meatloaf was okay. The sauce was definitely made with powder and there was way too much caraway in it. The fried potatoes are also no longer up to date. The beer tasted good and I liked the selection too. Unfortunately, we saw some of the beer being poured together from several glasses. If you know a little about beer taps, it's simply out of place. The service was definitely not experienced and quite unsafe. However, he made a very, very nice impression and kept asking questions. So no blame, because the uncertainty didn't bother us. In conclusion, one can say that it is suitable for drinking beer, but the food is simply no longer up to date and also unacceptable for a restaurant. As long as there are no clear improvements, I won't come back.

Went to the Erbach brewery this evening! Super tasty knuckle eaten with dumplings and sauerkraut. I can only recommend. Very nice staff! We will be back!

Food borderline to inedible. My cooked cheese schnitzel was simply baked with toasted cheese. Service rude and friendly Ambiance is terrible, very sad and unpleasant feeling. It's a shame, the Erbacher Brauhaus simply can't find good tenants anymore.

4 adults and a child were eating here yesterday. The service was top and the food was very good. Rarely have I eaten something so good in a restaurant. 6 stars to the kitchen. Other restaurateurs could learn a lesson here. The sauce was also great. No bags of sauce again. Thank you very much.

I have never eaten such a fantastic knuckle. As stated in the menu, it was very crispy. We were free to vary the side dishes. How you imagine the food in a brewery, delicious, delicious... What I've never eaten before was minced steak with fried potatoes and cooked cheese... Very 😋 😋 😋 😋 and highly recommended. We sat in the garden ,which was very pleasant in this sunny weather...Unfortunately we had to move because the gentleman at the next table was smoking one cigarette after the other and the smoke was wafting straight into my face...Perhaps it would be appropriate to set up a separate area for smokers would be enough..But overall we were very satisfied...The waitress was very friendly, her smile made me forget the gentleman smoking..We will see us again on our next visit to the Odenwald.

Delicious regional food. I had the pleasure of tasting Hessen cuisine. The portion is huge and everything is very tasty. Staff who don't really know the language or understand what we are asking.

A beautiful old economy. Very nice location. When the weather is nice, it's best to sit outside. The service in the brewery is friendly and attentive. The food was very good and plentiful. The starter “Handkäs with music” was tasty. The dressing on the side salad tastes very fresh. My “Schnitzel culinary delight” was a hit. Beacon and cheese were well matched. It was very delicious. The prices are cheap based on the portion. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

Good, home-style food, nice beer garden with toys for the little ones. ‐--------------------- Update, this review was for the predecessor, which was really great. The current tenant is incorrectly using the good reviews of his predecessor. I think it's high priced for the quality, apart from fries and ice cream nothing for children, menu on the door shows much cheaper prices (~10%) than the current menu. Unfortunately I only noticed it afterwards. The children left the crusty turkey burger (14.90, menu door says 12.90) with more Indian seasoning, but an extra portion of ketchup cost 50ct, the first mini portion was empty after 5 fries. Jägerschnitzel (16.90) too little sauce, goulash soup so-so (7.20, reminded me of the canned ones)... the location is great, but there is no longer a play area for children outside, which makes the visit more difficult very relaxed...

Really good food, great atmosphere and really smart and funny service. Definitely a thumbs up. Maybe another suggestion: cooked cheese should definitely be on the menu in the Odenwald 😊

We went to hide from the rain and ended up tasting excellent national cuisine. It was veal rolls with pickled cucumbers and lard, red stewed cabbage and boiled potato dumplings. And of course, German beer. Thank you 🙏🏼

Ordered a starter of tomato soup and goulash soup (which was very annoying). Main course Basmati rice with turkey in peanut sauce and turkey in green pepper sauce was delicious. Service (lady) very rude and impolite, service (young man) polite. The waitress (lady) tried to convince us that we could have the soup straight away and eat it even though the main course was served. Old inn beautifully and rustically furnished.

Nice waitresses who easily fulfilled any special requests. Food was plentiful and very tasty. Weather was perfect for the beer garden with a great view. Any time.

A cozy beer garden and guest room in the town center of Erbach. We had made a reservation here for the Mutterrag. The food is tasty and very plentiful. I had the Mümlinger Kochkäs Schnitzel. There is freshly tapped Hefeweizen and many other drinks here. A visit here is recommended and we will definitely come back.

Very tasty food and of course the beer too

The beer garden and the inn invite you to linger. Regional cuisine, cooked cheese, green sauce, knuckles, burgers and Asian-inspired dishes are offered, as well as various schnitzel dishes and salads. The service was extremely friendly and customer requests regarding allergens were taken into account as a matter of course. We didn't have to wait long for food and drinks. Our dishes tasted delicious throughout and the portions were quite generous. Definitely recommended!

We were regular guests for many years and always felt very comfortable. When we visited the restaurant for the first time after the change of operator, we were unfortunately disappointed. We had reserved a table for a birthday dinner. When we entered, the landlady harshly pointed to our table. Unfortunately, she didn't get friendlier as the evening progressed, although we remained extremely polite despite her behavior. However, the young man who finally cashed in after a long wait was very nice. The taste of the food was okay but the salad was way too overpriced for what you got. The birthday was ignored but then it no longer mattered. It's a shame about this beautiful restaurant, we won't come back and won't recommend it to others.

Diebe haben einem Kollegen 20 Euro gestohlen. A colleague was robbed of 20 euros! Be careful. Steak was ordered medium and came well done. There was too much spice on the steak, you couldn't even feel the taste of the meat. The only thing that was good here were the fries.

Super delicious food and friendly staff!

The food was quite ok, the service was unfriendly, inattentive and totally unmotivated, even though there was nothing going on at lunchtime, the plates were only cleared away when paying and you could only pay after several requests. I wanted to take the rest of my schnitzel with me, but after it was slammed on the table I decided against it.

We were there with 4 adults in the afternoon and ate various schnitzels. They tasted very good, the portions were huge. Everyone had the rest packed up. The service was great, the staff was very friendly. The prices are perfectly fine, not expensive.

We went to Erbach with friends to visit the Ivory Museum and then stopped at the Erbacher Brauhaus. The furnishings are designed to be cozy rather than overly modern. The service is very friendly and helpful. With the regional beer there was a pork knuckle with beer sauce and dumplings. I can only recommend it if you like knuckle. There was a good fruit schnapps to digest and a rosé wine for after-dinner chatting. Both were very tasty and reasonably priced. We will definitely make it to Erbach more often, this place is worth a trip not only because of the museum and the pretty old town. We also felt very welcome and comfortable there as guests. Thanks also to the nice lady from the Ivory Museum for the nice and informative conversation about the historical history of ivory processing in Erbach. This is what a day trip should be like. 👍🖖🤘🤠

Non-carbonated Cola tasted like pure syrup juice. The food: Carelessly prepared, a huge portion of boiled potatoes that were called fried potatoes. But a huge bill of 53 euros for 2 people.

We wanted to have a good meal and were surprised by the change in operator. Unfortunately negative! When we looked for a table and sat down, it took 30 minutes until the dishes were put away by the previous guests and we were allowed to order our drinks. It took another 20 minutes until we could order the food. We once had the cooked cheese schnitzel and once the meatloaf, also with cooked cheese. There were fried potatoes as a side dish. The schnitzel and meatloaf are good! Unfortunately, the sauce and the fried potatoes are not! The fried potatoes tasted like old frying fat and were not freshly prepared but warmed up. An absolute failure. The portions were far too large; half-full plates were returned to several tables. The service was sometimes overwhelmed by the few guests. A nice restaurant that unfortunately goes down the drain after the change of operator. No comparison to before! I can't recommend the restaurant at the moment!

We are there every year in February because of the storming of the town hall. Very friendly staff, you get large portions of food. The dishes are a force. We recommend. Come back next year.

It's always nice and the atmosphere is rustic

Had booked for New Year's Eve 2023, unfortunately my reservation was no longer there. We still got seats for 7 people in the hall. It wasn't as loud there as in the restaurant. The service was very friendly and it didn't take long to serve the food. Everything tasted very good. If I'm in the area again, I'd love to come back.

Unser Essen war super lecker und reichlich! Die Kinder hatten (wie immer) extra wünsche, sie wurden alle erfüllt. Die Roulade in Biersoße mit Rotkohl und Kartoffeln, war für mich das Favorit Menü. Mein Mann war sehr begeistert von seinem Kunstwerk (Schnitzel überbacken) und Salat mit Rinderstreifen. Nettes Personal! Preislich war es auch in Ordnung!

Ein sehr schönes und vorallem kulinarische empfehlenswertes Lokal. Freundliches Bedienungsteam & Gastwirtin, immer für ein lockeres Späßchen gut. Essen sehr lecker, hier vorallem die knusprige Schweinehaxe mit Klösen, aber auch alles andere ist sehr gut und kann man wirklich nur empfehlen. Eine kleine Empfehlung sollte abet erlaubt sein, bitte eine Kinderkarte machen, die Portionen sind für Kinder einfach zu groß, die Kids werden es euch danken. Als Hotel-|Gastro Consultant habe ich selten so eine liebevoll mit Herzblut geführte Gastwirtschaft gesehen.

Wenn wir in Erbach sind, kommen wir immer wieder mal hierher. Auch bei dem neuen Pächter war unser Aufenthalt angenehm. Man sitzt schön draußen im Biergarten oder innen im historischen Gastraum. Das Essen war ok, der Service etwas schleppend, aber freundlich.

Das Gaumenschmaus-Schnitzel ist jedem Kochkäseschnitzel zu bevorzugen. Ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus.. Kindergerichte gibt es leider keine auf der Karte, diese werden individuell kreiert. Die Bratenjus zur Haxe, ein wahres Kunststück. Die Haxe selbst sehr lecker. Der Kaiserschmarren nur zu empfehlen.

Jeden Tag geöffnet. Wir haben um 15.00 Uhr zu Mittag gegessen. Rinderroulade war klassisch deutsch. Schweinshaxe war perfekt. Von den Klößen schmeckte man die Kartoffeln. Sauerkraut war gut gewürzt. Bei nächster Durchfahrt durch den Odenwald werden wir wieder hier essen. Weiter so!

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Auch für Vegetarier gibt es eine gute Auswahl.

Sehr leckeres Essen, liebevoll garniert, schöne Auswahl an Speise zu vernünftigen Preisen. Wenn man draußen sitzen kann, genießt man das plätschern des Baches auf der Seite und den Blick auf Schloss und Schlossplatz. Auch die Einrichtung innen ist sauber und gemütlich. Wir sind bereits mehrere Male da gewesen und kommen gerne wieder.

Anfangs hat es etwas gedauert bis wir wahrgenommen wurden. Obwohl Sitzplatz Nähe Tresen. Dann jedoch ging alles fix. Kurz nach Bestellung, Getränke und Essen gebracht. Rumpsteak genau richtig. Menge absolut okay. Evtl sollten mal die Speisekarten abgewischt werden.

Essen ist empfehlenswert und auch die Lage des Bauhaus hat einen gewissen Charme.

Hier haben wir ein sehr leckeres Schnitzel mit Kochkäse gegessen. Man muss auch dazu sagen, dass es eine sehr große Portion ist. Der Service war auch sehr nett.

Käseschnitzel.....Spätzle waren trocken, Schnitzel ebenfalls, sehr hartes Fleisch, Käse sah aus wie Resteverwertung. Für den Preis hatte ich mehr erwartet. Die Bedienung war freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Bier war gut.

Sehr, sehr gute u. große Schnitzel in versch. Variationen u. leckere, knusprig krosse Zubereitung, unbedingt empfehlenswert! Das Ambiente ist unverändert urig vom Vorpächter übernommen, im historischen Wirtshaus-Stil. Man fühlt sich wohl: Im Sommer innen angenehm kühl, alternativ außen im Biergarten (direkt neben dem Bach) - wer‘s halt wärmer mag. Beim Vorpächter gab’s noch ein Bier aus eigener Produktion (wohl daher auch passend zum Name des Lokals), welches wir diesmal aber nicht mehr entdeckten. Es sind aber trotzdem genügend wohlschmeckende andere Sorten im Ausschank! Der Service ist freundlich, war aber etwas langsam (bei vollem Biergarten, sonst aber leeren Innenlokal schon überfordert), was zu etwas Wartezeiten bei den Getränken und ca. 30min. beim Essen führt. Tut der Qualität dessen aber keinen Abbruch, sehr gute u. empfehlenswerte Schnitzel, machen das ordentlich wett! Es lohnt sich jedenfalls hier einzukehren! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Es tut mir in der Seele weh, wenn ich sehe was aus dem Brauhaus geworden ist. Wo ist nur die Herzlichkeit und Wärme geblieben.

Einmal zu Besuch in der alten Heimat. Hat sich absolut gelohnt. Sehr große Portionen. Super lecker. Waren 9 Personen dabei 3 Kinder. Haben einmal quer durch die Karte bestellt. Waren alle super zufrieden ohne Ausnahme. Hatten einen großen Hund dabei, auch das war absolut kein Problem. Wurden ganz toll bedient. Essen war sehr lecker, der Service war schnell und die Lage ist auch sehr schön. Außerdem sind die Preise angemessen.

Wir waren heute im Brauhaus und haben Kochkässchnitzel bestellt. Der junge Mann der uns bedient hat, war sehr freundlich, das Essen sehr gut und reichlich. Falls wir wieder einmal nach Erbach kommen, werden wir wieder zum Essen hingehen

Also das Restaurant liegt schön am Schloss, wir saßen draußen. Wir wurden an ein Tisch gesetzt an dem gerade Gäste saßen. Es wäre wünschenswert gewesen die Krümel zuvor abzuwischen. Es ist etwas lieblos und eng . Das Essen was rausgegangen ist, sah alles klasse aus. Die Vorfreude war groß. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Vom Essen selbst war ich leider enttäuscht. Der Beilagensalat war sehr geschmacklos. Einzig der Krautsalat darauf hatte Geschmack. Ich bestellte Salz nach. Das Rumsteak kam kalt an, die Butter darauf schmolz nicht. Ich ließ es zurück gehen und bekam es warm zurück. Die Bratkartoffel schmeckten mir nicht. Sie waren nicht frisch, das waren vermutlich Kartoffel vom Vortag in der Pfanne angebraten. Das zubereiten dauerte recht lange, da hätte man die Bratkartoffel mit frischen/rohen Kartoffel braten können. Es war ganz nett aber ich muss hier nicht mehr essen. Preis/Leistung stimmen für mich nicht.

Das Essen hat zwar ein wenig gedauert, da die Terrasse brechend voll war, war aber das Warten wert. Gerne wieder
