The food was really great. It had been a long time since we had been to the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and attentive, always asking whether everything is OK and responding to the wishes and needs of the guests. The potato crate is really lovingly furnished, which makes you feel very at home

A spontaneous reservation for four hungry craftsmen from Erfurt worked without any problems. We were able to enjoy the Rosemarie rump steak and hearty dishes from the pan. The food was very tasty and left nothing to be desired in terms of taste. Thanks to the kitchen for this, the service at the place was also friendly and funny and every question was answered competently. All in all a great evening with plenty of food and a good drinks menu. We'll be back, a clear recommendation for the four of us for anyone who wants to eat well.

The potato box I treasured has deteriorated extremely. The agreed table reservations don't matter at all, as you are seated by a very curt noncommissioned officer. The menu changes, which are free according to the menu, are commented on as follows: "That's not possible! The kitchen will be on my roof! Plus, that's not how you eat it!" The Wiener Schnitzel was reserved surprisingly quickly but had the feel of thawed cardboard. At the potato box there is obviously a mentality that is spreading along the lines of: "We have a good name here in Cottbus. And it will always stay that way!" On my next frequent visits to Cottbus with guests, I will choose a different restaurant. PS: The staff is competent and very friendly. I had to update my previous 5 stars to 1.

Always worth a visit! Were there on a Wednesday evening. It is very busy and you should reserve a table there. The food was delicious and a large portion too. We didn't have to wait long for the food and it was quick. There were 3 pork medallions on spaetzle and sauce. The service was very nice and friendly. Gladly again

First of all, the positive: Both the food and service were impeccable during our visit in the summer. I'm less enthusiastic about the increasingly widespread bad habit of being forced to tip a certain amount when paying with a card. And yes, I think that's an impudence, even if I understand the intention. But that's not how you treat guests, especially since the prices on average have already increased quite significantly.

In this place they are racists and they dont want to work!! We arrived 20.04 hrs when we have a reservation for 20hrs and they didn’t want to give us the table justifying that we were late.. at the same time there was another family that just arrived like us. And they were able to sit but we not. Can somebody tell me what was the difference? Insane there are still people that because you are brunette and not blonde they don’t look at you properly. I hope this place close someday

We were first in Cottbus and ended up in the potato crate. The waiter was a blast 🤩. We sat outside and ate seasonal pumpkin dishes, it was so delicious. Our furry friend was also thought of and a water bowl was brought out. We haven't had such friendly staff in a long time and delicious food too. We'll definitely come back 👍

There is only 1 vegan dish and other vegetarian dishes. There are large portions that fill you up. Just very expensive.

Already very overpriced. For a bit of pollack fillet, where the breading doesn't necessarily taste good, a blob of white cabbage salad and greasy fried potatoes (which have ham cubes in them without it being declared) almost 20€. Meat dishes are also outrageously expensive. If you have too much money, you can probably eat here, otherwise probably not.

We were there before an event in the town hall. The service was great, everything went quickly. The food was also delicious for everyone, except for my side salad, I wish it had been dressed a bit. Solid restaurant with a pleasantly manageable offering - which is often suspiciously large in comparable stores. Fresh food, schnitzel, absolutely not Viennese schnitzel, but no one claims that, so absolutely fine. For fans of large portions of high-calorie foods. There's a different way to do it cleverly, but if you're really hungry, it's definitely doable. Nice staff, clean atmosphere.

Wir waren hier zum Abendessen. Kaum Platz genommen, wurde auch schon ein Wasser für unseren kleinen Vierbeiner serviert. Ein ausgezeichneter, freundlicher Service, der den weiteren Abend auch bei den „zweibeinigen“ Gästen nichts zu wünschen übrig ließ. Das Essen war sehr gut und lecker, in einem schönen Ambiente. Eine Reservierung ist zu empfehlen. Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen.

I had a rump steak with fried onions. The meat was medium but tough as a shoe sole, the onions only saw the pan for a few seconds, they weren't fried but just glazed. For 32.50 you can expect better. The waitress was very rude and only partially friendly OK, one box of potatoes is enough for life

Nice place, friendly staff, totally delicious food. No long waiting times and despite a good number of visitors, we often found space for two spontaneously. Anyone who likes to eat potatoes should definitely stop by here and let the variety melt in your mouth. Dishes not listed below that are recommended: energy tuber, hearty pan (people who are prone to heartburn take Bullrich salt with you).
