A great restaurant. Super friendly staff and very fast service. The drinks were delicious and the food came very quickly. The asparagus and also the meat loaf with fried potatoes tasted very tasty. Unfortunately, one point deducted for the schnitzel au four.

It was nice and the food was good. We had 3 different service people. 2 of them seemed neither friendly nor particularly trying. That detracts from the experience. In principle it is recommended, especially the outdoor area is very attractive in summer.

Ein Restaurant, welches länger (bis 01:00 Uhr) geöffnet hat. Rustikale Einrichtung auf zwei Ebenen. Bodenständige Küche (hatte Meerretich-Schnitzel) und leckeres Bier. Die Cocktails haben wir nicht getestet. Nettes, flinkes Personal. Auf jeden Fall ein Restaurant zum wohlfühlen und wieder kommen.

Wir sind eigentlich immer im Brau und Bistro, wenn wir in Cottbus sind. Diesmal leider total enttäuschend! Lokal war recht leer und 4 Servicemitarbeiter im Dienst. Leider haben wir sehr lange auf unsere Getränke gewartet. 2 Bier und ein Cocktail sollte man eigentlich nicht 15 Minuten drauf warten. Angestellte standen hinter der Theke und quatschten oder waren mit ihrem Handy beschäftigt. Das macht kein schönes Bild. Essen war sehr schnell auf dem Tisch. Während des Essens waren unsere Gläser leider leer. Wir hätten sicher jeder noch 2 Getränke bestellt. Sehr, sehr schade und schlecht fürs Geschäft.

A great restaurant, rustic yet modern. I haven't eaten out so well for a long time and the staff, apparently trainees, were simply great, very professional and with a charming lightness. Simply a wonderful all-round experience. Highly recommended because we were quite late for lunch and yet too early for dinner we were served tasty, home-style food for snacks. No, not like grandma's, but from a chef who knows his craft and has learned from grandmas and has transferred their dishes perfectly into this century!

Were not very satisfied. The service staff was very unstructured and without a system. The potatoes weren't cooked through and the food was generally very bland. Overall, we were very disappointed and unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

A restaurant right on the Altmarkt in Cottbus. You can get good food and delicious beer on 2 floors 🍺. We were welcomed and served very friendly. From the upper floor you have a beautiful view over the market square.

I love being there. That was my introduction to the original review. Today, October 20th. I was there again for my birthday. Well, what can I say, a small table in the corner. What I couldn't understand. Food is still great so everything is good. But the conditions we had were a disaster and not for the first time. And in this case it's only about one lady, the rest is great. You can now say racist. But the little colored girl should work on her politeness and language - I'm not a you. And a please and thank you isn't too much to ask. Please do what I really like with you, but that's enough with her.

Ich hatte Hähnchenbrust mit Bratkartoffeln und mediteranem Gemüse bestellt. Für den Preis hätte ich echt etwas Besseres erwartet. Vom Geschmack ganz zu schweigen, die Bratkartoffeln waren verbrannte Kartoffelkrumen, also Kartoffelscheiben waren da nicht zu sehen. Das vermeintliche mediterane Gemüse, ganz ehrlich, musste ich auf meinem Teller suchen. Zwei Paprikastreifen und zwei Champis, mediteranes Gemüse schmeckt anders. Lediglich die Hähnchenbrust war zart. Ich kann das Bistro leider nicht empfehlen, da das Essen sehr nachgelassen hat. Preise erhöhen und in Qualität nachlassen, geht gar nicht. Zwei Punkte für das Personal, es war sehr freundlich.

Unfortunately not a particularly good experience. Went there as a larger group with 3 vegetarian people. The veggie selection was pretty small and weak anyway, but my bigger problem was something else. I had mushrooms in my “Vegipasta: Tagliatelle with tomato, pepper, rocket, feta and pesto”. The fact that they aren't there is really stupid. Then we asked the waiter and he said it wasn't mushrooms, but eggplant (which wasn't included either). I then continued to pick them out and a friend tried them. We had the waiter come again. Then he said, “Oh yes, those are probably mushrooms, they don’t really belong in there.” I said that this wasn't a particularly pleasant dining experience for me and the reaction was that the chef was probably new and he would pass it on. I ended up having to pay €16.90 for the pasta. There was no offer to redo it, no discount offered, no drink on the house, nothing. It's a shame and not a particularly good evening for me in terms of cuisine.

I recently dined at this restaurant and unfortunately the experience was anything but positive. The food wasn't particularly good. Shortly after dinner we all had severe stomach cramps and spent the rest of the evening on the toilet. This experience was extremely unpleasant and I therefore cannot recommend this restaurant despite the lovely ambience.

The food was again very tasty. Unfortunately the service wasn't that special this time. Starter was forgotten and only came to the table after we asked for it. Later, no one even asked if anyone else wanted anything. Unfortunately there was no lighting either. It was very dark and you felt like you had to leave.

Roast bread. Was OK. It's more for tourists.

The meal was okay. Price okay. Unfortunately, the staff was extremely slow and, in my opinion, not entirely professional. It's not so nice to talk about other guests who have just left in sight and hearing of the customers. There were four of us there and I had to ask three times if we could order. The first two times we were put off with the words, I'll be with you in a moment. Then the food came. OK. To pay the same. Ask multiple times.

Super tasty “last time eating asparagus” in 2024. The food was delicious. Schnitzel and asparagus were really very good. The condition was very friendly and attentive. We had a great meal. Happy to come back!

Die Location ist sehr schön, das Essen war hervorragend und das Hausbräu Bier schmeckt auch super.Wir haben an dem Abend zu zweit 90 Euro verzehrzert und wollten ein Glass mit ei paar Eiswürfeln ordern. Das wurde vom Barkeeper abgelehnt, weil er diese für die Cocktails gebraucht hat. Das geht garnicht So kann man mit zahlenden Kunden nicht umgehen.

I go there every now and then... The baked potato was good but the sour cream had a bland taste. Food 🥘 is not bad but not outstanding either. And it's always the same thing... maybe you should. 🤔 change the menu a bit.

I like eating at the Brau & Bistro. It tastes very tasty 😋, the service is very good. The employees are always friendly and you are served quickly. Of course there are sometimes waiting times, especially when the house is full. But when the food is on the table, the wait was worth it 😊.

We were in the restaurant on Saturday as a travel group of 43 people. The food for dinner could be ordered in advance at lunchtime. Everything went perfectly! All dishes were correct and delivered almost at the same time. The food itself was very good and the service was quick and very friendly. It was a successful evening! We like to be here, there are still some of the few restaurants that can be described as home-style. Service quick and friendly, food selection good, but average. The furnishings are a bit rustic but we like it. There's always room during the day and advance booking is recommended in the evening.

The food menu is likely to be more extensive, as you can often find simple, rustic dishes that go well with beer. If you want to experience the diversity of gastronomy in Cottbus, you should definitely take a detour to the Brau und Bistro.

Today we went to the Brau & Bistro with a large group. Recommended several times, we wanted to form our own opinion. For my part, I was unfortunately very disappointed with the food. Hardly any choice and almost everything only from pork. I “out of necessity” ordered a roast pork with sauerkraut and dumplings. The entire meal was completely bland. It was obligatory to ask how it tasted, but after my honest answer there was no response. Prices are perfectly reasonable for the portion sizes. The service itself was on point, super friendly and always quick to refill.

It's been so many years, but nothing has changed. It was another really nice evening with delicious food and cool drinks. Staff very attentive and friendly. Clear recommendation.

Were there again now and keep saying next time we'll go there again

Wir waren öfter zum Mittagessen im Bistro. Doch am 14.03.24 entschied ich, dieses Restaurant nicht mehr zu betreten. Ich bestellte zu meinem Essen anstatt Pommes, Bratkartoffeln. Ich wurde von der Bedienung darauf hingewiesen, das bei Bratkartoffeln ein Zuschlag von 2,00 € zu zahlen ist. Dies ist ja verständlich und ich bestellte diese. Was ich jedoch bekam waren die Kartoffelspalten vom Vortag, welche mit Speck angebraten wurden und wo die Kartoffelschalen dran waren. Eigentlich hätte ich das Essen zurückgehen lassen sollen, doch ich pulte die Schalen ab. Später verwies ich darauf, das es keine Bratkartoffeln waren. Die Bedienung hielt Rücksprache mit der Küche und berichtigte uns, bei ihren werden die Bratkartoffeln immer so gemacht. Na dann guten Appetit - ich esse meine Bratkartoffeln wo anders.
