This restaurant is a real favorite of mine. The schnitzels are huge and taste fantastic. The staff is friendly and the kitchen works quickly. I especially appreciate that you can often get a table even without a reservation, which makes visiting very easy.

A wide selection of dishes. There's definitely something for everyone here. Pizza, pasta, schnitzel, grilled meats, and of course, traditional Saarland potato dishes, etc. Today we opted for pepperoni and regular pizza. Delicious! We were very impressed with the friendly and attentive service. We also found it very cozy and enjoyed the atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

No dogs allowed, hardly any vegetarian or vegan options, and the fact that the pizza is topped with real Gouda cheese is highlighted as a mark of quality. We'll just leave it at that: the veal schnitzel costs more than in a fancy restaurant in Vienna. In one corner of the room, there was a terrible smell of urine, and the air freshener meant to mask it didn't work. The last point, in particular, is completely unacceptable. Either the area should be closed off or properly cleaned; letting the table go is a bad joke. If this had been my event, I would have left immediately.

Despite many Christmas parties, we got a table for two after about a 10-minute wait. We were then served politely and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Great praise for the kitchen, service, and organization.

Well, the schnitzel was like a rubber sole. The price/performance ratio is completely off. The sauce on the Diavola schnitzel was either not spicy at all or it was simply the wrong sauce. The premises could really use a ventilation system. There's a lot of smoke in the place.

I'm back in Bavaria already and still thinking about the delicious food. The highlight was the wonderful salad, prepared with so much attention to detail, even including frisée lettuce! Many thanks to the whole team!

We went to the restaurant on Saturday afternoon and were allowed to choose our own seats, but that was the only positive thing. A server came with the menu, but then nothing happened, even though there were plenty of servers. We weren't even asked what we wanted to drink. We had chosen our food, placed the closed menus on another table, and nothing happened. After 20 or 25 minutes, we left. None of the three servers, I think, reacted. It's a real shame; we've been there many times before without any problems, but this is just unacceptable.

We have been coming here for several years. Today we had a terrible experience. We made a reservation for 4 people and 1 baby for 7:30 p.m. We arrived at 7:25 p.m. and waited until 7:40 p.m. We ordered our drinks at 8:00 p.m. and had to wait "2 minutes" to order our dishes, which was at 8:15 p.m. That's a 45-minute wait with a baby to be seated and order. This has never happened to us! A table of 2 was able to order their drinks and dishes before us and were served in 20 minutes!! The server completely ignored us until another server finally came to see us and told us that he would take over. I find such a lack of professionalism unacceptable! When customers have their cards closed and call you several times to order and you ignore them, it is openly mocking the customers! If we hadn't had the baby we would have left. It wasn't the wait itself, but rather the waiter's attitude that was detestable.

We had the Hooriche. It was delicious and a large portion. The service was friendly and attentive. Even during the week, it's worth making a reservation or arriving early in the evening.

The service was friendly, and the food arrived very quickly. I chose a potato soup for €8.90 under the "Soups and Appetizers" section, assuming it would be a bit larger than a small cup of soup, which it was. The soup itself was delicious, but it came with exactly three croutons, which were a bit chewy, and it was definitely too few for the price! The meat pieces in my husband's potato casserole were also quite tough. The food also wasn't in the oven long enough for all the potato pieces to warm up. Wouldn't eat there again.

Food: Pizza base is of rest stop quality, toppings generally bland. Ambience: Tables are far too close together, even slim people can barely move without touching guests at the next table. Sanitation: Sink broken, floor wet, disinfectant empty. Summary: Commercial interest clearly dominates here.

Beautifully located on the edge of Saarlouis's old town. Friendly, polite service. A good selection of delicious potato dishes, such as potato pizza, various potato pancakes, etc. If you're into that, you'll also find Saarland dishes here. Steaks, pizzas, and various schnitzel variations are also available. Lunch is available Monday through Friday. The restaurant has its own beechwood charcoal grill. This was my second time there, and I know I'll definitely be back.

The food was very tasty. The table arrived fairly quickly after ordering. The portions were quite large. The ambiance is quite nice. However, the tables are quite close together, so every inch is used.

The Kartoffelhaus serves excellent food. The portions are generous and very tasty. The only thing I could criticize is the price. Three kinds of potatoes cost €25, which I find a bit excessive for a dumpling and three potato spaetzle with a little sauerkraut. But nevertheless, we go there often because it's simply delicious.

We ordered schnitzels: one was a Baden-Baden veal schnitzel with mushroom sauce, and the other was a Amadeus schnitzel with turkey. The schnitzels were solid. Our companions had pizza and were also satisfied.

Very tasty food at a fair price! The menu is HUGE, yet the quality of the food is excellent. The only downside was the lack of attentiveness of the waiters: we had to wait a long time for any interaction and had to make ourselves known by waving and calling out. Perhaps next time will be better.

A very bad experience in this restaurant that I will never return to. It's really not good. Inedible for me. I sent the plate back immediately after one bite and we had to pay for it. Never seen before! It was a Saarland specialty that I was looking forward to trying (Geheiratete) ... a disgusting Knorr or Maggi sauce, full of glutamate, nothing homemade, bland, nothing local! Run away!

First and last visit. 3 servers, one smiling. Apple chorle without gas and we were told "Yes"... even the Coke wasn't good. The schnitzel was okay. Pizza... more than average for the price of €15! Be careful. They use two different menus there. The prices on their website are cheaper than the printed version. This certainly applies to drinks. I've seen this dirty trick in Turkey. It's a rip-off for walk-in customers and not reputable.

First of all, Saarlouis is a beautiful city. The people are unique. Friendly, warm, and open-minded. Potato dish: Awesome Schnitzel dish: Awesome Pizza: Awesome Salad: Awesome Waiting time? No. And if there was, it was minimal. Great atmosphere, especially since you can sit comfortably outside. Service is attentive and friendly. Full marks here, too. I was unfortunately disappointed with the value for money at this restaurant visit. For a schnitzel priced at €22.50, you'd expect a certain level of quality and care – but this wasn't met. The dish tasted rather average and wasn't commensurate with the price. Furthermore, there was an annoying error in the billing: an item was charged that was neither ordered nor consumed. Although the amount was deducted after I pointed it out, the final bill was still too high. Had I not checked the bill carefully as a guest, I would have paid significantly too much. Such errors unfortunately don't leave a good impression and significantly tarnish the overall experience.

I've been there for the first time in a long time and was unfortunately very disappointed. The garlic bread appetizers, which used to be really good with an intense garlic flavor, are now a flop. A few olives and canned peppers were added, and that was it. The schnitzel was unfortunately very tough and tasteless. The fries were the cheapest of the cheap, or so it seemed—lots of small, hard pieces. The price of €22 is definitely not justified; no one cared.

The food was reheated; for the price, I would have preferred my casserole warm. But it tasted good.
