Unfortunately, the prices for food and drinks have now doubled. With that I'm out. It's a shame, I was always happy to be there.

Large selection of delicious schnitzels. The price-performance ratio is also right. Unfortunately the staff was a bit unfriendly.

So after 2 hours of waiting, I can no longer see bringing some bread as hospitable. I have never experienced such subterranean service in my life. The only place you would be better off would be in the sewer system under the house. It was really crazy… food tasted good. They forgot the bread with the mussels.

Unfortunately, as a single guest you are assigned a very bad seat that all the staff constantly walk past. You sit forever with an empty glass and employees walk past you several times a minute. Too bad. Unfortunately the food was drowned in sauce. The Schupfnudelm were burnt. Unfortunately not a good experience.

Never again, our anniversary was ruined today, we called on Monday and ordered a table with a bench because I have nerve damage in my back and can't sit on what we call chairs, this was confirmed and written down. When we arrived today, Saturday, 20 minutes before making the reservation, we were told that he had been forgiven and that we should sit somewhere else, which, as described, was not possible for me and would have meant massive pain for me. It's just disappointing how little you're worth as a guest here.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience here. We were unlucky that my husband's pizza still had raw dough. He let me know after 1 minute the pizza came back, the dough was still not ready. My pizza wasn't 100% cooked either. There were two men in service who certainly tried hard. Unfortunately there was a lot of discussion and they seemed arrogant. My husband was asked if he wanted anything else, we said it was ok. Then came a mixed salad. Who then almost 100% went back into the kitchen. He was asked if he wanted an espresso, he said no. Then came an espresso with the words “you can always drink an espresso like that.” Ignoring the guest's wishes like that just gives you a bad feeling. There was always someone standing close to us so we felt like we were being watched. Unfortunately it wasn't a good evening. Was the second chance because the first visit wasn't that good either, we always give second chances. But after experience, definitely not anymore

We've been back for a while. We were really looking forward to our Schnitzel Bresso! The disappointment was great.

We had an evening in Saarlouis and are very happy we chose this restaurant. Yes, the menu is very long and it's difficult to decide, but the food that came next was terrific! 😍 I definitely have to come back at some point. Thank you for the great evening with you.

In a schnitzel house you expect a good schnitzel, which is what the name of the restaurant stands for. The portions were large, but the quality of the preparation was unsatisfactory. The schnitzel was far too thick, the breading was full of fat and not sautéed. I will definitely not eat there again. If you're going to serve veal, you should at least be respectful of the ingredients. I could have made this at home and at least it would have tasted better.

It wasn't anything special. The Schnitzel Mexico didn't have much to do with chilli con carne. Too bad

Well-known restaurant in Saarlouis, centrally located in the city center, paid parking spaces available in the area. Easily accessible on foot or by public transport. Very attentive and nice service. Had reserved a table for a birthday. Reservation was made by phone, it's a shame that the table wasn't set accordingly, (not decorated) I know that from other restaurants. The food tasted good except for the Budapest pork schnitzel, which was very overcooked. The prices are very steep at €22.50 for a ready-made schnitzel with fries. According to the menu, I had a baked potato with herb quark, which wasn't herb quark, but a sour cream for €14.50. I thought the price was okay. The taste was good, I also found drinks a bit expensive. It was nice to try again, but there are much better restaurants in the area.

Food was very tasty, which unfortunately bothered me that the salad was on the plate with the warm food. Prices are very high, for a small bowl of soup 7.50 euros. Two weeks ago I had dinner here with my former class. The large portions were positive. I think everyone has had enough. However, I didn't get a schnitzel, but Penne al Forno because I was more in the mood for pasta. It definitely tasted delicious!^^ Unfortunately, when I took the order, the nice waitress took everyone except mine. :( But I know what it's like to work in a restaurant, I had a mini-job as a waitress for two years. When there's a lot of activity and you have to cash in, that's it Having to pick up food from the kitchen and serve it can happen, but it wasn't that bad for me. When we pointed it out to her, she did it and took my order too. When we finally wanted to pay, we probably sat there for over 20 minutes before a waiter came and collected the money. All in all, I was quite satisfied and full. Therefore 4 stars. :D

So the pizza marinara was catastrophic!!! All the water from the seafood was spread over the dough. It would be better to defrost the ingredients beforehand and perhaps season them instead of simply putting them on the frozen pizza and putting them in the oven.

I ate a rump steak with hollandaise sauce and asparagus. The asparagus was thin and few, the hollandaise sauce slightly sour. The steak was delicious, but I think the €2.50 extra charge for a small piece of herb butter is a bit steep. The service was also a bit overwhelmed. Food quite expensive. We really enjoy eating at the potato schnitzel house because they have a large selection of food and it always tastes great. The service is also very nice and always there if you need anything. The only thing that bothers me is that some of the chairs are a bit uncomfortable.

Great location in Saarlouis old town. Cozy atmosphere in the historic building. Since this restaurant seems to be very popular, a table reservation is recommended. The potato pizza was particularly well received in our group, but salads, pizza and homemade typical Saarland dishes can also be recommended here without hesitation. The staff is refreshingly friendly and competent and goes to great lengths to fulfill guests' every wish as quickly and well as possible. That's why I'm happy to give it 5 stars🌟!

I was there again today for a long time... The staff is super friendly and nice, you immediately feel welcome, which has become really rare... I wanted a schnitzel today... and the klabschnitzel was really very good... juicy and big on the outside... the beer was just right... the service was perfect and attentive. The fries were also really good and crispy... The portion was huge..ok I had to leave the salad, it just didn't go in anymore... (although healthy as I learned from a reliable source there) So thank you very much for a nice evening. certainly wasn't the last time...

Absolutely satisfied ;-) You should definitely plan a visit when you are in Saarlouis. The dishes are impeccably prepared and the portions are quite large. Schnitzel has always been delicious, portions fill you up well. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes with the steak weren't good... they probably only touched the pan briefly.
