Beautifully located on the edge of Saarlouis's old town. Friendly, polite service. A good selection of delicious potato dishes, such as potato pizza, various potato pancakes, etc. If you're into that, you'll also find Saarland dishes here. Steaks, pizzas, and various schnitzel variations are also available. Lunch is available Monday through Friday. The restaurant has its own beechwood charcoal grill. This was my second time there, and I know I'll definitely be back.

The food was very tasty. The table arrived fairly quickly after ordering. The portions were quite large. The ambiance is quite nice. However, the tables are quite close together, so every inch is used.

Three kinds of potatoes cost €25, which I find a bit excessive for a dumpling and three potato spaetzle with a little sauerkraut. But nevertheless, we go there often because it's simply delicious.

We ordered schnitzels: one was a Baden-Baden veal schnitzel with mushroom sauce, and the other was a Amadeus schnitzel with turkey. The schnitzels were solid. Our companions had pizza and were also satisfied.

Very, very bad service. My €9 Lillet had three berries in it. The food was only lukewarm. All in all, way too overpriced and absolutely not recommended.

A very bad experience in this restaurant that I will never return to. It's really not good. Inedible for me. I sent the plate back immediately after one bite and we had to pay for it. Never seen before! It was a Saarland specialty that I was looking forward to trying (Geheiratete) ... a disgusting Knorr or Maggi sauce, full of glutamate, nothing homemade, bland, nothing local! Run away!

Be careful. They use two different menus there. The prices on their website are cheaper than the printed version. This certainly applies to drinks. I've seen this dirty trick in Turkey. It's a rip-off for walk-in customers and not reputable.

First of all, Saarlouis is a beautiful city. The people are unique. Friendly, warm, and open-minded. Potato dish: Awesome Schnitzel dish: Awesome Pizza: Awesome Salad: Awesome Waiting time? No. And if there was, it was minimal. Great atmosphere, especially since you can sit comfortably outside. Service is attentive and friendly. Full marks here, too. I was unfortunately disappointed with the value for money at this restaurant visit. For a schnitzel priced at €22.50, you'd expect a certain level of quality and care – but this wasn't met. The dish tasted rather average and wasn't commensurate with the price. Furthermore, there was an annoying error in the billing: an item was charged that was neither ordered nor consumed. Although the amount was deducted after I pointed it out, the final bill was still too high. Had I not checked the bill carefully as a guest, I would have paid significantly too much. Such errors unfortunately don't leave a good impression and significantly tarnish the overall experience.

I've been there for the first time in a long time and was unfortunately very disappointed. The garlic bread appetizers, which used to be really good with an intense garlic flavor, are now a flop. A few olives and canned peppers were added, and that was it. The schnitzel was unfortunately very tough and tasteless. The fries were the cheapest of the cheap, or so it seemed—lots of small, hard pieces. The price of €22 is definitely not justified; no one cared.

The food was reheated; for the price, I would have preferred my casserole warm. But it tasted good.

Yum yum! I'm from Canada so it was so delicious to have such authentic German Schnitzel in the homeland! That brown mushroom sauce was soooo Good. The food was quite good, but the price wasn't bad either. Just under €30 for salmon on pasta, although the portion was good. I've had better potato pancakes. The potato pizza does not consist of pizza dough and potatoes, but is essentially a filled, larger potato pancake. Not bad. The ambience is fine.

We visited the restaurant after visiting the Saarlouis Christmas market. The food was extremely good and the portions were large, we ate schnitzel. It took less than half an hour for everyone to have their food. The only point of criticism is that the rooms are a bit too full and sometimes you are seated with 5 people at a 4-person table, people have "parked" each other at other tables so that someone from the next table always had to get up before you could even get out. The restaurant has been a popular destination for many tourists for years, but the rooms don't always keep up with the rush 😅

Great food with good and fast service. However, when there is a lot going on, the restaurant is so loud that you can no longer hear the person you are talking to on the other side of the table. Accordingly, it is best not to visit the restaurant at peak times.

Home-style, hearty cuisine and large portions. Also recommended for a spontaneous visit! However, when we ordered a coke, we were brought a large one for a mere €5.80 without asking, which is not right in my opinion. At least the food was served quickly and hot!

The food used to be better and today I'm a bit disappointed.

Es war sehr enttäuschend für mich dass in so einem hochwertigen Restaurant so miserabele und minderwertige Qualität angeboten wird und eine Steinofenpizza so verhunzt werden kann. Der komplette Belag kommt eindeutig aus Konserven, worin alles schon etwas zu lange offen in der Lake gelegen hatte , was einen echt unangenehmen Geschmack und Nachgeschmack hatte. Der käse war optisch und geschmacklich kein Käse. Sicherlich der günstigste Analogkäse den es gibt. Beim Salat waren die Blätter und die Gurken frisch aber hier dann auch die ausgebleichten Oliven die schon ewig in der Lake lagen und nach nichts schmeckten, genau wie die Peperoni und die Paprika. Es war ungenießbar und eigentlich schon beleidigend sowas zu servieren . Mir ist immer noch übel .
