A conference hotel in a class of its own with the highest level of comfort, quality and facilities, both in the rooms, the conference rooms and the culinary facilities. This place could be a top address... BUT: As a group that met for three days, we noticed several times the indisputable way in which (obviously) long-standing employees treated (obviously) new trainees in service. The fact that new trainees - both in the restaurant and in the dining room in the evening - are rudely shouted at, treated condescendingly and thus - in front of guests! - being embarrassed shocked us and greatly diminished the otherwise good overall impression. Trying to guide and correct new trainees who are young - and of course insecure at the beginning - is completely ok. Devaluing and disrespecting them is not. That was more than worrying! Unacceptable. A pleasant stay also requires respect and appreciation for each other - and not just for the guests.

The impressive historic building, which now serves as a modern hotel and conference center, is located on a hill in Bensberg in an extensive park. The wide view over the Rhenish Bay with the cities of Cologne and Leverkusen is wonderful. In the evening you can enjoy the sunset from the terrace. The conference venue belongs to the Archdiocese of Cologne. Unfortunately, although there are enough parking spaces available, they are too far from the hotel entrance. The existing access to the hotel entrance is unfortunately blocked for hotel guests by bollards. It would be interesting to find out whether this also applies to church dignitaries. The employees at the reception were friendly and quick, so that check-in and check-out went smoothly. The room was large, clean and very high, the beds were good. Unfortunately the room did not have air conditioning. The small room air conditioner that was set up swirled the air a bit, but didn't really cool the room when the outside temperature was well over 30 degrees Celsius. The noise protection windows could not be opened because the nearby Cologne-Bonn airport has no ban on night flights, so the planes produced far too much noise throughout the night. A stay in summer with higher temperatures is therefore not recommended. The breakfast in the large dining room was excellent and the staff here were quick, friendly and service-oriented. Overall, an interesting hotel for the months of September to May, when you can enjoy the peace, the beautiful view and the good breakfast without air conditioning.

Nice, clean room with an incredible view of Cologne Cathedral and Colonius. Very friendly staff and a great breakfast complete the picture, top!!! I'd love to come back!

It was a very nice stay, but I found the mattress very hard and now have back pain. Nevertheless, the hotel was very clean, the rooms were very tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come to visit again. The view is indescribably beautiful and there is also enough parking space

Easy to reach by car. Sufficient parking spaces available. Rooms very clean and big enough. The service in the restaurant is very friendly and quick, but the reception is a bit reserved in terms of friendliness. Otherwise great conference hotel with a beautiful courtyard and garden area.

We were able to spend a few very nice days there. We'll definitely come back.

The hotel is perfect for business trips, great value for money. Clean rooms, bathrooms with everything necessary. Very good location, free parking, and the place itself and beautiful views. Breakfast with very good quality products and unlimited coffee from coffee.

Super nice house, huge, easy to get lost.. It's a shame that you can't really sit together comfortably in the evening, there's not much choice of different drinks..

I have often attended training courses and seminars in this house. The house is beautifully situated above Bensberg and, when the weather is good, you have a beautiful view of Cologne. The fobis and seminars were always very good and interesting. I always felt comfortable in this house and the staff is friendly and polite. The food is very good. Lunch, always two or three meals to choose from, as well as soup and dessert. I've never been disappointed with the food. There is always enough coffee, hot water and cold drinks available in front of the seminar rooms. Also fresh fruit and various types of cakes in the afternoon. The service staff and the buffet staff are always friendly and accommodating. There is a good atmosphere in the restaurant and the tables are always beautifully set. I really enjoy coming to the Cardinal Schulte House. Keep it up. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the rooms as I haven't stayed there yet.

Nice hotel, unfortunately we didn't get anything to eat. We were very rudely asked to leave the restaurant! It was definitely the last time in these old walls!!! The star is only there because no other rating works 😉

An sich ein schönes und gepflegtes Haus. Im Verhältnis zu den Zimmern ist der aufgerufene Preis überzogen, aber die Lage ist schön. Was wirklich sehr ärgerlich war: der Raucherplatz des Personals befand sich auf der gleichen Gebäudeseite wie unser Zimmer. In der ersten Nacht ewig lang Gelächter. Am Morgen erneut, sodass wir geweckt wurden. Also an der Rezeption gemeldet. Man hat uns versprochen, sich darum zu kümmern. Dann war ein Abend + Morgen Ruhe und heute dann erneut Gegröle und Gelächter. Wenn man 180€ pro Zimmer und Nacht abruft, dann erwarte ich wenigstens, dass man den eigenen Leuten klar machen kann, dass die Gäste ihre Ruhe teuer bezahlt haben.

Albergo enorme e scenicamente in posizione ottima, dall'atrio si vedono le luci di colonia. Le stanze sono un po' anonime e spartane. Colazione a buffet buona e con diverse scelte sia dolci che salate. Parcheggio un po' complicato (c'è una sbarra all'ingresso e va tenuto il biglietto anche per gli ospiti dell'hotel). Comodo per raggiungere Bergisch, le autostrade e le aziende limitrofe. Prezzi giusti.

Waren vom 03.-05.11. dort. Bei Anreise hat uns eine weibliche Auszubildende etwas forsch auf die Frage (12:30), ob das Zimmer schon fertig ist, mit den Worten "das Schließsystem ist defekt" abgewiesen. Auf die Bitte, uns wenigstens mit einem Master ins Zimmer zu lassen, um das Gepäck abzulegen, blieb sie beharrlich bei ihrer Aussage. Dafür kann sie nichts, es wurde ihr so vorgegeben, aber dass die beiden in der Nähe stehenden festangestellten Damen nichts sagten, wirkte sehr befremdlich, die Auszubildende war sehr hilflos. Abgesehen davon ein schöner Aufenthalt, tolles Upgrade in ein Turmzimmer, Frühstück lecker, toller Service (insbesondere Rick vom Frühstück zu erwähnen). Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Superbe hôtel situé à une dizaine de minutes à pied de la station de transport qui comporte une ligne directe pour rejoindre Cologne. L'édifice en haut de la colline a son charme. Bâtiment spacieux et chambre confortable. Mentions spéciales aux services disponibles dans l'hôtel : salle détente avec tennis de table et salle de sport (compris dans la chambre), restaurant avec un bon rapport qualité prix et une piste de bowling génial est également disponible (option payante). Le service est agréable. Si je repars dans le coin, je choisis de nouveau cet hôtel !
